Salt Lake City Has 2 New Airport Lounges for Winter Travelers

"At Concourse B I stepped into American Express’ Centurion Lounge and experienced a nearly 18,000‑square‑foot, 200‑seat premium retreat that opened as SLC’s first proprietary lounge by a card issuer; the space includes three reservable meeting rooms, a VIP room for Centurion members, a buffet, shower facilities, and two bars. The design nods to Utah with warm earth tones, dramatic art (including a mixed‑media Utah‑themed bulldog by Erin Blundell and photography of Robert Redford), and an Après ski–inspired hearth room with a cozy 360‑degree fireplace—the first of its kind in a Centurion Lounge. Additional amenities aimed at outdoor enthusiasts include a wellness recovery room with compression boots and massage guns and a year‑round terrace bathed in natural light with another fireplace and views of the Wasatch Mountains and taxiing planes. Dining is curated by The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge, with rotating menus every 18 days developed by chefs such as Mike Solomonov, Mashama Bailey, and Sarah Grueneberg (examples include Solomonov’s grilled cabbage with tehina, Bailey’s grain salad, and Grueneberg’s lemongrass chicken), and beverage offerings range from a Blue Roast coffee bar, smoothies and pastries, and on‑tap kombucha to dirty sodas and self‑serve espresso and nitro cold brew; depending on the hour guests may also receive passed small plates or ice cream. The lounge is open to eligible American Express cardholders (including Platinum, Business Platinum, and Centurion cards) and operates daily from 4:45 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. except Tuesdays (open 1 p.m. to 11:15 p.m.)." - Emily Hochberg

Amex’s Largest-Ever Centurion Lounge Is Set to Open at Atlanta Airport

"The new Centurion Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport offers travelers a vast space of nearly 26,000 square feet filled with unique amenities such as outdoor terraces, a whiskey bar with a menu by mixologist Jim Meehan, and gourmet soul food designed by Chef Deborah VanTrece. The lounge's design pays tribute to Atlanta's natural landscape with a custom light sculpture, a 50-year-old olive tree, and murals by local artists."

Chef Deborah VanTrece Will Helm the New Centurion Lounge’s Menu | Eater Atlanta

"Opening February 14, the new Centurion Lounge at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will be the network’s largest location to date at nearly 26,000 square feet, located adjacent to gate E11 and featuring landscaped outdoor terraces that overlook the airfield. The space pairs a buffet-driven menu from 2023 James Beard Award semifinalist Deborah VanTrece (Twisted Soul Cookhouse & Pours; Oreatha’s At The Point; La Panarda) with a whiskey bar called The Reserve by American Express, wellness stations stocked with overnight oats, juices and smoothies, and a food-and-beverage station offering gluten-free and vegan options like protein bites, salads and “immunity booster” juice shots. VanTrece’s menu includes soulful, travel-inspired dishes such as black-eyed pea biryani (a hoppin’ John–inspired biryani), za’atar grilled chicken thighs with green tomato chimichurri, Twisted Soul salad with strawberry peppercorn vinaigrette, collard green rolls made with smoked turkey, and morning pimento cheese grits served with local chicken sausage. Emphasizing fresh ingredients, the lounge will use a buffet format that puts out smaller batches and replenishes them often—many items served in cast-iron on the buffet to preserve flavor and avoid dried-out pans—an approach VanTrece, a former flight attendant, says reflects her broad culinary influences and a deliberate shift in airport cuisine. Access is free for American Express U.S. Platinum and U.S. Business Platinum cardholders; other visitors will be charged $50 (or $30 for ages 2–17), with cardholders eligible for free guest passes under certain restrictions." - Sarra Sedghi

The Centurion Lounge in Atlanta is truly impressive from the moment you walk in. The space is beautifully designed, modern, clean, and incredibly comfortable. There are tons of seating options both inside and out, so it never feels cramped even during busy times. The lounge features two full food buffets, each with a great selection of high-quality dishes. Everything I tried was fresh, flavorful, and far better than typical airport food. In addition, there are two well-stocked bars offering a wide range of cocktails, spirits, wine, and beer—something for everyone. I also loved the dedicated coffee bar area, perfect for grabbing a latte or espresso to recharge before a flight. The restrooms are spacious and very clean, which is always appreciated during travel. Overall, the entire lounge is both beautiful and thoughtfully laid out, making it incredibly easy to relax or get some work done. If you’re flying through ATL, the Centurion Lounge is absolutely worth the stop.

Top Tier Airport Lounge Experience! The Centurion Lounge at ATL is hands down one of the best airport lounges I’ve ever visited. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to make you feel at home. The food selection is outstanding fresh, flavorful, and a huge step above typical airport fare. The bar is fully stocked with premium spirits, and the cocktails are crafted perfectly. The lounge itself is spacious, modern, and has plenty of quiet seating areas, perfect for relaxing before a flight. Between the great service, clean environment, and top-notch amenities, this lounge makes long layovers actually enjoyable. Definitely worth a stop if you’re flying through Atlanta!

A huge shout-out to Maisha, the bartender at the ATL Centurion Lounge, who absolutely made my morning. From the moment I sat down, she was welcoming, kind, and wonderfully attentive. Her knowledge of the menu and her thoughtful, creative suggestions for cocktails, wine, and food were spot-on—and delivered with such genuine warmth that it elevated the entire experience. Maisha’s enthusiasm and care truly stand out. She has that rare ability to make you feel both relaxed and well taken care of, and it’s clear she’s a real asset to the Centurion Lounge team. Also worth celebrating: the avocado toast bar and the coconut blueberry overnight oats—both were fresh, delicious, and perfectly balanced. A fantastic start to the day, made even better by exceptional service. Thank you, Maisha, for turning a quick lounge visit into a memorable experience.

Best Centurion Lounge I've been in for a long time. Great layout with indoor and outdoor seating. Nice bars and spaces for everyone to be. Food was a great mix and had delicious local coffee. Bar was very busy but service was top notch and great quality as well. Can't recommend high enough and happy ATL has a lounge for us other than SkyClubs!

Was here in September 2025 for a late morning visit. Not crowded and easy entry. They were switching from breakfast to lunch when we got there, so had something from both food lines. I like their two line setup so food is always available. Bar was nicely run. Elijah Craig was the Old Fashioned bourbon. Staff kept the tables clean. Very nice location.

Super busy but got in within 10 minutes, not too bad traveling the Saturday before Christmas. Lounge is nice, seating is okay. I'd say delta sky club seating is a little better. Food seemed decent. Many more options compared to other sky lounges. Reason for the 4 is the eggs were a bit watery, hopefully from the pan and not being undercooked. I couldn't tell so I stopped eating them. Coffee was average for this type of place. I'd try more Amex lounges in the future.

Review based on 1 visit (I am a centurion holder and visit lounges frequently) -whoever did the layout, BRAVO! It’s incredible. Indoor and plenty of outdoor on both sides. Watch the planes or sit in a garden type area. Big couches, small booths, multiple bar area plus private rooms galore! -the decor is over the top in the best way. Eating while you’re inside under a tree. It’s genius. -food is always on point along with the drink options. -unless this is new, I haven’t seen this drink option anywhere else. They have water tap that offers sparkling and tap. Directly behind it are a bunch of non alcoholic mixers to spice it up -I can’t see this place filling up there’s just so much space. Restrooms are clean. Showers available but I didn’t use them.

One of the nicest lounges around! Spacious, with plentiful nooks and small rooms to spread out, work, and rest. Probably the best dinner from the buffet that I’ve had in a lounge. All hot, real silverware and plates. Beautiful layout.
