Where to Celebrate Along the Minneapolis Pride Parade Route

"Mercy’s rooftop bar is hosting Minneapolis’ first party thrown by Bearracuda. The party kicks off at 9am and tickets to the bear dance party are only $12. Downstairs, the patio bar will also be open and it’s right on the parade route." - Joy Summers

The Chambers Hotel

"With more than 200 works of modern art on display and just 60 rooms, Chambers is either a hotel acting as an art gallery or vice versa—you decide. Whatever the verdict, it’s shockingly trendy, remarkably austere, and yet pleasingly comfortable. The arctic-cool tone of the place is established behind the front desk, where a Damien Hirst skinned bull’s head floats starkly in a tank of formaldehyde, and continues as you travel down a dim corridor to your room, past a video art installation showing the work of William Wegman and others on dozens of monitors. The service, though less than efficient, is delivered with unfailing Midwestern goodwill; rooms are spartan but have pampering touches such as heated bathroom floors and beds as soft as ermine. The excellent D’Amico Kitchen restaurant and the blue-flamed fire in the lobby delivers warmth and sustenance in the coolest venue of one of the country’s coldest climes."

"Le Méridien Chambers Minneapolis The modern minimalism of Le Méridien Chambers boutique hotel is accented by all things art. Graffiti-covered stairwells and hallways lead to rooms, each with their own original piece of art by the likes of Brits Damien Hirst and Gary Hume. Located in the vibrant Theatre District, entertainment from live music to stand-up comedy is just outside the door. As a guest, you’ll be granted free admission to the popular Walker Art Museum one mile away. Aside from the art, there are thoughtful amenities like the rain shower and heated floors, and fresh Italian cuisine at the hotel’s Marin Restaurant & Bar."

Positive: The room was spacious, well appointed, clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The provided breakfast was nothing fancy but had an excellent variety of items. Negative: The neighborhood has an urban feel to it and might be described as gritty. We were approached outside by a person who appeared to have mental issues but we never felt particularly unsafe.

There is not enough space to share how ELATED and happy we are with this hotel. From the General Manager's kind regard in assisting us with our reservations. She was extremely efficient, detailed and even followed up.||||The hotel was exceptionally neat and clean, I mean white-glove test clean. All the staff was kind, pleasant disposition, helpful and friendly. ||||The room, oh the room was super clean. Everything was properly placed, not even a hair was to be found when we first walked in. ||||This hotel is among THE ABSOLUTE BEST hotels I've stayed in, ever, and I've stayed in 'high-end' 5 Star 'rated', hotesl, etc...But this one, to me, FAR exceeds them because of the management (Nichole - General Manager), staff and the neatness and cleanliness.||||Also, GREAT location for people watching from our room. Lots was happening the weekend we were there so we could look out the window and people gaze. Quite fun.

This was one of THE absolute best experiences at a hotel that I've ever had. I've stayed in luxury 5 Star hotels, villas, etc... but to me, they can't compare to the overall excellence of The Chambers. It started on the phone with their super-serving General Manager Nicole. She was exceptional, helpful, patient, kind and driven to resolution with some reservation challenges I had because of a third party booking service. Upon our arrival, everything was in order and taken care of. Her staff was superb. They were professional, polite and accommodating. Every part of the hotel that I saw was ultra neat and white-glove clean. Our room was absolutely beautiful. Very modern, a multitude of trendy adjustable lights, double layered, blackout blinds. The entire space was immaculate. Not one hair was found, not one speck of dust or dirt anywhere. The location was perfect for our needs. Easy and quick access to all transportation types, restaurants, etc... I could go on and on, this place is a true 5 Star for me 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟.

Can't say enough nice things about my stay at the Chambers. Staff was super responsive to my needs. Room was top notch and comfortable. Only wish I could have stayed longer! Easy walking distance to multiple activities and the train. Nicole, the general manager, was super accommodating and lovely. Can't wait to return. I may even need to move there.

It's pretty much summed up in the title. Modern room. Lovely bathroom. Clean and spacious room. Excellent value. I was not there during a peak period/event. That might be important regarding the off site parking. When I was there parking around the corner was a breeze and only cost $15 for overnight. I will definitely return.

Stayed 4 nights 5/22-5/27. Location was fine. Most of the staff was great - super friendly. The room was on the 2nd floor and looked over the courtyard. I was pleased! Room looked great at first glance: spacious, clean, heated bathroom floor (!) on the 2nd floor. Upon further inspection, floorboards battered and torn up from previous water damage - not especially aesthetically pleasing, but no biggie. Phone didn't work - BIG deal (which especially applies to an incident that occurred on 5/25). First incident (not their fault): the hotel is across from the Orpheum. Friday night there was a concert. Two bucket drummers decided to set up at around 8 pm and played until well after 11 pm until Orpheum management kicked them out. It was excruciating! Here's where they lose 2 stars: came back to the hotel from an outing on Sunday, at 4:30. Went up to my room and glanced out the window at the courtyard and noticed a dj setting up below my window and several women lounging around in the courtyard. Went downstairs to the front desk to ask if there was a party setting up. Yep: Jamaican something or other beginning at 5 pm. I wasn't thrilled: told the woman I wished I'd been informed when I checked in and could I be moved. She was apologetic and said the hotel was busy that weekend, with no open room to move me to. Even though I've turned into an old lady who likes to go to bed early (LOL), I asked what time the party was going to end - 10 pm - and decided to suck it up. Loud - LOUD music for five hours, however, the party ended at 10 pm on the dot - YAY!! No problem. Just as I snuggled into the bed and turned out the light, I heard a fire alarm going off nearby and seconds later, the strong smell of marijuana wafted into my room. I waited a minute for the sounds of the cavalry coming to respond to the fire alarm: nope. I opened my door and sure enough: heavy smell of mj in the hallway coming from the room next door (221) and the alarm still going off. No one else in the hallway. Went down to the front desk - no one there - just a note with a phone number saying they'd stepped away. Just as I started to write down the number, the front desk person walked through the front door. I asked her if she was aware a fire alarm was going off on the 2nd floor - nope! Told her about the mj and smoke and asked her to note that I'd complained (there's a $375 charge for the smell of smoke in the room). She said she'd take care of it. Went back upstairs just as the three men in room 221 came out of their room, waving smoke out of his face. As they passed by me, one idiot said: "Hey, room 2-, I see you". GREAT. Now these idiots are going to know who complained and where to find me. And the bloody phone doesn't work. I wait 20 minutes, go back downstairs, and update the front desk person. She says she spoke to the men and they apologize. Way to put your foot down! Anyway, flash forward to checkout time: I told the person at the front desk about my Sunday experience and she was appalled - said she'd type up a note to the manager and that I should have been moved to another room - especially since the 3 male culprits knew who reported them and what room I was in. Haven't heard a word from management - at all. For the amount of money I paid for my stay, one would hope they'd have been a little more considerate! They could have informed me about the upcoming party when I checked in and gave me the option of being moved to another room. And hey - maybe fix your dang phones!

We couldn’t get into the building to check in, it’s great that it’s a secure building but there was no communication regarding check in and the host was on the phone for an extended period, then proceeded to complain about the customer on the phone for 30 minutes while checking us in. Additionally the room was much smaller than cheaper lower star hotels I’ve been to, and the heater didn’t work and there were no extra blankets. I will say the shower was awesome!

The hotel itself is very nice. I've stayed here multiple times and have always had a great experience. Tonight, the late night front desk girls (2AM, 05/26/2025) were beyond rude and unprofessional. The manner in which they speak to guests is entirely unacceptable. They should not be working in a boutique hotel acting trashy and ghetto. I would fire the taller one on the spot if I ever heard her talking to guests in the manner in which she did if I was GM there.

Yelp
I really like this place. Location was perfect in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. Stayed here for business. It's a lofty ambience and my room was comfy. Like the modern arrangement and I had a nice view of the courtyard. Water pressure was amazing. Free complimentary breakfast, self service. Staff were fantastic and super friendly and they even gave me free bottled water upon arrival. There's fridge in the room with full coffee and tea. Love the free bike loaner during your stay and explore the city. I highly recommend. Cheers!

Yelp
What a difference 2 years can make. The room I stayed in this weekend looks almost identical to my past photos, with shabby downgrades. When I checked in, the front desk was being yelled at on the phone and engaged with the argument. My room took forever to warm up, and the shower got to warm at best. But the worst downgrades are the wear and tear that are clearly ignored. Bed was well broken in. Orange desk chair is frayed. Even the painting on the wall has scuffs like its been dropped. Likely won't stay again when the competition downtown is much more favorable. As other reviews have mentioned, there is no bar. Just concessions behind front desk. No restaurant/breakfast possible.

Yelp
Nice boutique hotel across from the Orpheum and within walking distance of the State and many bars and restaurants. Friendly staff clean never stayed at a hotel with an outdoor balcony with seating. Downside area is a little sketchy did not feel real safe as a solo traveler and no parking or valet on site minor inconvenience since parking ramp was $10

Yelp
Went to go see the Houston Astros play the twins in Minneapolis chose this place because it's close to Target Field. It was a great hotel! The shower pressure is AMAZING! Probably the best thing about the hotel. Read a couple reviews about A/C not being good but that wasn't my experience. Stayed in the middle of July and it was cold in our room. Most definitely would stay again! Everything is within walking distance!

Yelp
My husband and I were walking around Minneapolis on our Fourth of July holiday. Considering an overnight stay downtown, we walked into the Chambers hotel, stopped at the front desk to say we were just checking it out, and proceeded to walk through the lobby. While in the lobby, we visited the bathrooms. When I came out, a front desk attendant (who must have followed us) stopped us to ask "how were the bathrooms" with an unfriendly smirk on his face. His attempt to embarrass us, worked. We went immediately to the front desk to make a reservation in order to prove we were not there just to use the bathroom. The second front desk attendant explained to us it is much easier and much cheaper to make a reservation online with a third-party. We left without a reservation and our dignity. I would never stay or recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
No bar or restaurant onsite, despite being listed in the website. Locked entrance so had to go down to lobby to retrieve guests. Website deceiving in availability of soaking tubs. Have to retrieve ice from front desk. Night shift staff was rude. Room was nice.

Yelp
The room was spacious and the staff was friendly. But I stayed there three nights and room service never showed up. When I mentioned it to the desk, they told me room service had to be requested. I stay in a hotel at least once a month and have never experienced that. Usually, I have to put the do not disturb sign on the door to keep maids from barging in at 8am. When said its never happened to me before, the front desk person's response was "Is very common these days." The policy is one thing. But telling a customer it's their problem isn't acceptable. I asked why they didnt explain that was their policy when I checked in, and she had no answer. Plus, the restaurant is permanently closed, giving it a depressing vibe. Won't be staying there again.

Yelp
The +'s were great but there are some negatives too. + Large and comfy room Great beds Friendly staff Free bikes with locks and helmets - -The bar and restaurant on property was closed -The neighborhood was a little sketch -Despite asking for a working remote several times, we resigned ourselves to a Office Marathon. Not what you'd normally think as a 4 star hotel but was a good stay overall.
