Crisp W6 is a cozy local gem with mock-Tudor charm serving up some of London's best thin, crispy pizzas, perfect for outdoor dining and casual hangouts.
"The gravity-defying slices at Crisp Pizza W6, a pizza pop-up inside a Hammersmith pub, are the best in the city. On a summer's day, the scene outside the pub will tempt you to stay all afternoon. Diners hover outside, waiting for one of the street-facing tables to free up. Don’t leave without trying the calzone. You don’t reserve a table at Crisp Pizza, you pre-order dough. Call, text, or WhatsApp them on 07515930582 as far in advance as possible to secure your pizza. They have some pizzas available to walk-ins (rock up as early as possible, we’re talking 11:30am), or Storekit slots go live every Monday at 11am for that weekend's evenings. Remember, an order doesn’t guarantee you a seat." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, rianne shlebak
"You’ll assume that this pizza pop-up inside The Chancellors pub is named Crisp Pizza W6 after its street in Hammersmith. But we think it has something to do with the fact that the base on the margherita is crispier than any we’ve ever had. The gravity-defying slices hold their own and the tomato sauce is rich and basil-heavy, with the perfect distribution of melted mozzarella and a sprinkling of parmesan. Don’t leave without trying the calzone. Filled with creamy ricotta and doused in plenty of that crimson-red tomato sauce, it’s our favourite thing here. Just remember to pre-order. "Neapolitan style has had a monopoly on London’s pizza scene for a long time. But recently there’s been a crispy, New York-style pizza coup—with Crisp Pizza W6 paving the way. The gravity-defying slices hold their own and the tomato sauce is rich and basil-heavy, with the perfect distribution of melted mozzarella and a generous sprinkling of parmesan. It’s hard to get your hands on these pies which are served out of a warm, dimly lit Hammersmith pub. It requires WhatsApping, texting, or—every Brit’s worst nightmare—ringing them to reserve dough. And even that doesn’t guarantee you a table inside The Chancellors. But take it from us, who have turned up half an hour before they open and waited in the rain, it’s worth it. "Verdict: We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: Crisp Pizza W6 makes the best New York-style pizza in London. The clue is in the name: the slices defy gravity, and the tomato sauce is rich and basil-heavy. It’s a one-of-its-kind type of place, and the chaotic Hammersmith pub environment just adds to the charm. You don’t reserve a table at Crisp Pizza, you pre-order dough. "Crisp Pizza W6 is a pop-up inside Hammersmith pub, The Chancellors, and it does the best thin-crust, New York-style pizzas in London. On the 360 days a year when it’s too cold to sit outside, the small, dimly lit pub makes for a perfectly nice room in which to eat an excessive amount of pizza. The gravity-defying slices somehow hold a rich tomato sauce, heavy with basil, and a perfect distribution of melted mozzarella. Just know that you’ll have to pre-order in advance or there are limited pies for walk-ins, but it’s all very laid-back when you do eventually get here.
