Food was not the greatest and it was cold. I feel all occasions should get top notched service. If you don't give it, when people try for first time and this is the review, remember treat all parties with hot and delish food.

We had our daughter's wedding there Saturday and cannot say enough good things to say about the Chandelier. We were very difficult customers and live in Georgia so much planning had to be by phone. We worked with George who was great and never lost his patience with me (Momzilla) Everything we asked for we received. We had the ceremony in one of the rooms and it worked out fine. One of the waitresses, Ramona took special care of the bride and groom and even helped her with her bussel and anything else they needed. The rest of the staff was just as accommodating and congenial. The food at Cocktail hour was amazing and the drinks kept flowing. When we went upstairs the room was magical, done in Winter Wonderland. The flowers we got from Santos in Newark were amazing and added to the beauty of the room. Our DJ Jim Bello from Fantasy Productions had everyone up from the first dance until the last. The dinner was served family style and there was as much as you could possibly eat. Everyone had a great time and didn't want it to end. It was a great way to start the holiday season. The place was tastefully decorated for the Holidays and added to the decor and holiday spirit. I would recommend this place to anyone. Best night ever.... said the Bride and Groom

Yelp
felt like it was a setting for a gangster film. hard-edged staff, not very compliant or attentive, kind of felt they wanted no part of us.

Yelp
What happened to the chandelier?. Used to be a great place to have an event. Not anymore. The food was horrible !

Yelp
The Chandelier is a nice place to have a low-key/ special event. There's valet parking, but they leave everyone's keys hanging outside, which made me feel a little uneasy. The main room itself is pretty large with a good sized dance floor. The dj is up on a platform, so the equipment won't be in a way and there is more space to dance/ navigate around the room. Buffet food was okay, but the menu is up to you. The staff was very nice and helpful! They definitely paid attention to our table's needs. Over all, it could use a little up keeping as you can tell that the place is outdated, but we wouldn't mind coming back for another event.

Yelp
Today I called to make a reservation for 4 people to go to my H.S reunion which is on June 12 and this place canceled it because not enough people had made enough reservations ! I can't believe it! This is the most unprofessional thing I've ever heard of! A 50 reunion and this place canceled it! If I were you I would never plan on having an event here! Shame Shame Shame!

Yelp
Went for a tricky tray that included a sit down dinner with 4 courses. Penne with a blush sauce started our meal. Pasta was firm and tasty but sat too long on the dish before it was served. Tossed salad was over oiled. Dinner was dry chicken franchisee with delicious mixed vegetables. The potatoes however reminded me of breakfast dinner ones. Dessert was a scoop of vanilla ice cream with a splash of chocolate syrup. Service was quick but with no personality. I was afraid if someone smiled their face might crack. Decor was typical.

Yelp
The staff on duty was unresponsive at best, and rude at worst. We had our wedding there. We had to remind them to bring out our cake, and they completely forgot to bring out the ice cream we ordered. The bartender was barely even at the bar, and the manager on shift, when confronted about the ice cream at the end of the night, tried to brush it off. I asked for a refund, and had to argue with him about it for ten minutes. Even before the event, they told us to call ahead the Friday before to see if we could come in early to start decorating. We called, and they said it was clear, then the day of, they changed it and had an event, and they didn't even give us warning ahead of time. All of this, and they charged us a $379 gratuity for the pleasure.

Yelp
Came to see the Cameos with a bunch of friends. First let me say the music was very good. Very talented musicians playing Oldies 50's. Then some selections from the 60's and the disco era. Very uncomfortably over crowded. Staff was efficient. FOOD: Awwwwful Salad was, I believe, thrown on a dish (presentation is better at the local diner) Ziti was in a very watery, I guess a vodka type sauce, was at least tasty. Chicken Francaise was not. Maybe it was Chicken Fran because there was no wine, no lemon, no butter. More like chicken tender pieces baked and then thrown in this flavorless liquid. Mashed potatoes were out of the box. Pork Tenderloin? was grey. Green beans were soggy with garlic. Eggplant Rollatini was good, but they were too lazy to remove the skin. Desert consisted of a tray of run of the mill cookies. Coffee was OK. I know that this place has been in business for several generations. Too bad that the current one is not moving to improve the quality of food with a population that is more savvy then from 50 years ago. For there to be a second show, this venue should just sell tickets to see the groups and not put the labor in producing fare that does not reach the level of diners.

Yelp
When shopping for a wedding venue you want your guests wowed by either the food or the venue. This place severely lacked in food quality and look. The place is very tiny, bathrooms outdated and small. The reason for one star is the food. We were so hungry after we all went out to a diner once we left. The food is very much like high school cafeteria quality, The mashed potatoes were garlic mashed potatoes, lets just say the were mashed garlic with a potato texture, way way overkill (this coming from a person with Italian roots who loves garlic). Chicken franchaise was inedible, swimming in sauce, breading so soggy. The fish flavorless. Cocktail hour brought baby hotdogs that were very tough and too well done, stuffed mushrooms, stuffing was not bad but the mushrooms had such an odd chewiness to them, none of us trusted them. We all laughed at the salad soup that was in a bowl, some wilted lettuce that was literally swimming in some kind of dressing, I cannot comment as none of us was brave enough to try it. The wedding we attended was absolutely perfect and beautiful but that was with no help from this venue

Yelp
Came here for a fundraiser. It was served family style after the served us pasta with a creamy Alfredo sauce and a tossed salad The entrees then came to the table it was sausage and onions, roaster broccoli with a lot of garlic ( delish) roasted potatoes, eggplant rollatini, and chicken francese or piccata I get them confused .. Food was excellent and since it was family style once the first round was done all ya had to do was ask for more . Waitstaff was attentive and friendly. I have been to other catering halls and the staff was sometimes rude but not here

Yelp
Considering the slew of 1-star reviews preceding this one, I was not hopeful about our experience going in. We were guests an event, and we hadn't had any say in selecting the spot. I'm guessing the few parties that had bad experiences felt compelled to trash the place on Yelp. Event management was business like. The fellow I'm guessing other reviewers referred to as "George" was quick to point out that we were to find our table the moment we walked in the door. This was a bit brusque, but I heard no abusive treatment of employees or guests from this man. Whether or not he is miserable, I cannot say, but he wasn't making anyone else miserable, at least not this time. For a catering hall, the food was good and service was attentive. As previous reviewers have noted, the decor is a bit old-fashioned, but it was clean. Our hosts seemed pleased with how everything went. I can't corroborate much of what previous reviewers said, so I'm guessing it was some sour grapes on their part. The only lesson I take away from this experience is that I can't believe everything I read on Yelp.

Yelp
I attended an engagement dinner here and the staff was great, so I'm surprised by the negative reviews. Everyone from the valet staff to the coat check attendant to the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The wine at the table was good, the ambiance was lovely and the background music was pleasant (so there's good quality audio). No complaints on that end. However, the food was just ok. The soup, salad and pasta were pretty good but the chicken tasted a bit undercooked. Everything else was fine.

Yelp
I'm not going to tell the whole story of the retirement dinner that I went to at The Chandelier, but I will say that nothing here impressed me at all and unless they gave me a free night for a party, I wouldn't even call for an estimate. -Valet parking, but huge parking lot across the street behind Wendy's. -Dining room feels old and everything inside is actually old. -Given fruit cocktail...definitely from a can. -Entrees were tasty, but steak was overcooked. -Biggest surprise was optional cappuccino which tasted very good. That's about it. One word to describe: renovate.

Yelp
It is not often that I write negative reviews but after tonight's experience with George, the "Manager", I feel compelled to say my peace in a public forum. When considering a venue for a special day, it's important that the staff, especially the "Manager", make your guest feel welcome and appreciated. The staff is not doing you a favor, they are there to help execute a service that you pay for. I have never experienced a more unfriendly and unprofessional catering staff. The manager had the audacity to yell at my family, on a day that was supposed to be a celebration and a festive event. Thankfully, this dimwit was smart enough to lower his voice and walk away, before things escalated further. Only after we left did I hear from other guests that the "Manager" charged our guests for the same beer that was sold as part of the package we bought, simply because they asked for it at the bar. Common sense (and good business practice) would have been used if he told our guest that the bucket around the door was full of the same beer and that it was already paid for. No, this knuckle head had to be sneaky and charge extra because our guest went to the bar. At the end of the night, while people were saying their goodbyes and packing cars, he decides to rudely tell people to leave and that they couldn't be congregating at the tables because the party was over. Hopefully this review comes to the attention of the people that own this establishment. You have to do something about this guy and the staff you bring on. They don't care about your business and are treating your customer poorly. If you are looking for repeat business, you won't get it from us or anyone that takes a minute to read the other negative reviews on here. Considering there are so many negative reviews on this place, either the owners are not reading them or they themselves don't care...

Yelp
Had a family party for my grandmothers 80th birthday. George their "manager" is by far the most unprofessional and nasty manager I have ever encountered, George this miserable human being spent the night screaming at his employees and on top of that my own MOTHER because she asked for a service she PAID FOR. When confronted he walked away and then proceeded to kick everyone out the door the minute the party was over by shutting off the lights. The whole night was rush rush rush, your plate was gone while you were still eating, and the buffet was taken away before asking if people were done eating. And the topper was that George decided not to tell the guests that beer and wine was included inside the room so anyone that went to the "bar" aka coat closet got stuck paying for the same beer that was inside as part of the paid package. Such poor business practices on every level. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, it is old and outdated ( not like kind of outdate, completely outdated and disgusting) and has no curb appeal whatsoever. Their valet takes your car to the back of the Wendy's parking lot! This place needs to be shut down. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider having your event here. If whoever owns this dump actually cares about their business, get rid of George and your entire staff.

Yelp
This one star isn't so much for the food as it is for their lack of a wheelchair accessible rest room. Guess they never have any disabled guests who need more than a loose bar attached to the inside wall of a narrow bathroom stall. Hanging a bar like that does not make it a handicapped bathroom. Shame on the owners and management of this establishment.

Kim S.

Yelp
I cringe when someone invites me to an event here. All I can say is everyone gets what they pay for here: cheap. That must be the only reason this place is still in existence. I only eat cake and pasta dishes without meat here because the meats always look grey and either over or undercooked. Good thing Wendy's is across the street. Bathrooms: outdated, small, dirty. There's carpeting peeling off of the DJ "booth"/stage/whatever you want to call it. The carpeting on the floor is dirty. Staff is nice but sloppy in appearance. Sorry but they are all mismatched, dirty uniforms, not consistent at all with attire.

Yelp
We just had our son's baptism here and we thoroughly enjoyed everything the place had to offer! They were easy to work with and allowed us to come in early to set up. They accommodated our every request and we would recommend people to have their events here!

Yelp
Worst venue i've ever been. it was a quinceañera the manager or metridi was standing on the corner the whole time looking at us with disgust every question people asked him he was rude and moody. The carving station had run out of plates and we were making the line waiting for someone to bring them out and the manager was standing right there so i asked him about the plates so he said go get them over there on the other table i looked at him and said are u asking me to bring the plates myself and he just pointed at the plates. So i felt bad for the people making the line and i went to get the plates with the help of my husband. The food is gross the meat is like a ball of burned dried out meat from 4 days ago. fruit was canned fruit and the coffee pitcher is left on the table so you serve yourself some cold nasty coffee. dirty old tables smelly carpet. i guess you get you get what you pay for.

Kim D.

Yelp
I attended a party here on November 1st. The food was excellent. Seafood, carving station to dessert. Service was the best. I would recommend having your next special function here.
