The atmosphere looks phenomenal but service is slow. Ran out of tea several times. My husband said his steak and octopus were delicious. However, my steak was supposed to be medium well and it was charred black. The asparagus was tough and the sauce on the asparagus was yuk! The bread was delicious and fresh. The salad tasted good but they literally plopped a head of lettuce and threw some bacon, cheese, and dressing on it. Way more lettuce at the end of the salad. Our meal was paid for with my points so it felt free even though we know how much we have to play to obtain 300k points. Definitely not worth it. We still tipped 20% but we won't be back.

Great experience! Staff was super friendly, food was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend for a good steak dinner / special ocasión.

We had crab cake which was the best part but not worth the price . We had the Mac, Caesar salad, filet which was horrible,no flavor. The waitress Jenna was amazing and gave the best service. I would not recommend coming to Chandler's unless you want to be disappointed.

My husband and I was there last night. The food was amazing, and we didn't wait long for our food. Everything was spaced out, so we didn't have too much food on our table:) Our server Sonya was the best we have ever had. She was very accommodating and made sure we were happy and took amazing care of us. We will return again and hope to have her as our server! Highly recommend this place and Sonya>

We enjoyed our meals very much. We had oysters and meatballs for apps. Both were very flavorful and delicious. Hubby got the bone in ribeye I got the salmon and we shared the spinach. All very flavorful and cooked to perfection. Our wait staff, both Sonya and Amanda were phenomenal. Very attentive and also very knowledgeable about the dishes. Before desert, we were both searching online to see if there are other Chandlers in other places we travel to. 😀 We split a fried banana bread pudding that was delicious! We will be back.

We received a very welcoming greeting. We did have reservations and they were able to seat us a little early. I loved the atmosphere. The seating felt private and very comfortable. No complaints about my dish. Scallops were very yummy. Our waiter was polite and alert. Thank you for a positive date night. We will return!

The Chandler Steakhouse, located inside the MGM Springfield, is quality dining at its finest. Our party arrived for our 5:45 reservation on a Thursday evening, and were seated in a private room, with mahogany, leather padded walls. The Chandler Crab Cake, consisting of jumbo lump crab, lemon caviar aioli, and capers was an incredible appetizer, with just enough breading to hold the tender crab meat together. Every lemony morsel practically dissolved upon contact with the tongue. The Garlic Shrimp, with garlic lemon butter and a side of grilled crostini was delicious. The fresh shrimp seemed to be infused with garlic goodness and was quite pleasing to the palate. The New England Cheese Experience was scrumptious, and included the chef’s curated selection of Brie, Bleu, and Swiss type cheeses, honeycomb, stone fruit jam, and Marcona almonds. The medium-rare 8-ounce filet was extraordinary. The resting of the cut was perfectly timed, allowing the juices to let loose in the mouth instead of on the plate, giving that "melting" sensation. The large. loaded baked potato was very tasty, with bacon chunks and melted cheese stealing the show. The vanilla bean creme brulee was also exquisite, highlighted with blueberries, a slice of strawberry, and an iced cookie. It was a perfect conclusion to a perfect meal. If you're successful at the casino, take some of those winnings and treat yourself to an exceptional dining experience. The Chandler Steakhouse is more than a safe bet.

Google
Atmosphere and music was great! Worst food experience ever from a “steakhouse”. It took forever for my food. When it arrived, both my and my friend’s steak was over cooked!!! We both ordered medium and they came out more well done. All we got in exchange was a free dessert. Awful!!!!

Yelp
Drove from Queens for a night of gambling and a nice dinner with the family . Excellent service from our waitress Laurie . Food came out fast and our order was correct . We ask for our steak to be sliced and that's exactly how it was delivered . Our drinks were delicious . My husband loved his old fashion drink with a special show . Overall highly recommend and will be back .

Yelp
To be honest we don't eat here. But the martinis are great. After getting royally screwed over by South West and having to make alternate arrangements this is just the bar we needed

Yelp
A fabulous restaurant found in a casino! I felt like I was someone special from the servers! The food was so delicious. I in fact had smaller portion so that I would not have leftovers since we could not carry it around! The truffle fries were so so good! I will say the staff was a little too attentive while we were eating asking if we needed anything, many times! Overall a great experience and we will return next time we are at the casino.

Yelp
The greeting from front desk host to servers was very pleasant and really refreshing. Our server Sonya was a 10/10 and never missed any extra details plus many more a true professional. The ambiance is really amazing and transforms the diners to a classy peaceful and serene place but not at all gaudy. Another thing that we really appreciated was the restaurant manager actually takes the time to stop by every table and greet the diners as well as ask how they are enjoying themselves. We started with chilled jumbo shrimp served with a great vodka spiced cocktail sauce a perfect start to the meal alongside the fluffiest warm whole grain bread. My wife had king salmon cooked perfectly and a larger portion than expected over a farro kale risotto 10/10, and I had a NY strip steak cooked exactly as requested with a garnish of a 1/2 charred head of garlic which was a perfect touch..... did I mention the dinner plate sized baked potato on the side with chives, sour cream and butter. Overall a perfect dinner and priced super competitively and so much better quality over those chain steakhouses around the country. It's our 2nd visit in the past 2 years and plan to make it a regular stop once or twice a year.

Yelp
Pretty good. Sat in a booth in the lounge area. Good atmosphere. Went on Saturday around 6pm Clientele was all 50+. Waitress was very nice. Ordered drinks and dinner. The bread looks like a banana bread but it was regular and delicious. I ordered the steak and fries. It was cooked more than I like but I still ate it all. Would return.

Yelp
Ruby was our server and she went above and beyond. We come here quite often and this is the first time I felt a need to leave a review. From the moment she sat us until we left she made us feel comfortable and important. Thank you!

Yelp
The Chandler, nestled in Springfield, Massachusetts, rises as a bastion of culinary brilliance and sublime ambiance, unveiling a remarkable dining escapade that intertwines culinary finesse with a warm, welcoming atmosphere seamlessly. The bar dining area is adorned with an elegant accouter bar and nocturnal tables, projecting a captivating orange glow that beckons invitingly. The architectural splendor, punctuated by grandiose fluted pillars, melds harmoniously with the plush high-back red velvet seating and the private alcove seating located in the rotunda dining room. This thoughtful arrangement offers a majestic and secluded dining experience, immersing patrons in the exquisite architectural beauty of the establishment. Specifically, from the grand long table, diners are afforded a fascinating glimpse into the kitchen, witnessing steaks kissed by leaping flames as they sear to perfection. This inclusion of innovative transparency allows The Chandler's culinary prowess and passion to be displayed openly. The ambiance is a meticulous orchestration of soft, upbeat music at a harmonious volume, blending seamlessly with the serenity of the surrounding street. This sensory dance is further enhanced by servings of fresh, warm wheat brioche bread and butter, perfectly complemented by sparkling Pellegrino water. The Chandler curates a distinctive and refined cocktail menu. A standout is the "Dancing in the Moonlight" steakhouse cocktail, a delightful symphony of Jasmine Rose Gin, Cointreau, Lemon, and Simple Syrup, crowned with a black cherry at the bottom. The beverage suite also features an old-fashioned with Basil Hayden and a Cherry Pie Pinot Noir, noted for its fruity, smooth characteristics and light tannins. My culinary voyage began with a cold, crisp Caesar salad, enriched with extra anchovies, introducing a remarkable briny essence from the fresh anchovies, beautifully amalgamated with generous slices of cheese and sugary sweet homemade croutons. The entrée, an 18 oz bone-in ribeye steak, executed to Pittsburgh medium with Worcestershire marinated roasted garlic, epitomized culinary excellence. The accompanying black truffle macaroni with Fontina Cheese; and smoky grilled "Blistered" Asparagus with a delectable Gribiche sauce unveiled an ethereal smoky essence, marking a culinary epiphany. This gourmet journey culminated with a meticulously brewed cappuccino, lightly dusted with cinnamon, emblematic of their refined culinary craftsmanship. The staff at The Chandler demonstrated notable professionalism and hospitality, with extremely attentive support staff ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience, marked by their unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction, enhancing the overall joy of every attendee. To conclude, The Chandler is a culinary gem, harmonizing innovative culinary creations with a sumptuous and inviting atmosphere. The perfect fusion of unmatched craftsmanship, culinary brilliance, dedicated service, and opulent ambiance creates an unparalleled dining journey, solidifying The Chandler as a supreme destination for all discerning connoisseurs of gourmet cuisine in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Yelp
Very overpriced. I get it's supposed to be a fine dining steakhouse but the food should be outstanding for the prices. I will say the service was great and everyone was very attentive. The ambiance is very dim but very classy. My fiancée got the seared scallops which were almost $40 (comes with nothing but the scallops) and they were good but weren't seared evenly on each side. Plus side dishes are about $15-$20. I got the steak frites (pictured) probably the only thing on the menu where you get your moneys worth; but the steak had little to no flavor plus was over cooked, I asked for medium and got medium well. The fries were good but I mean they're fries, it came with a really good garlic aioli though. Overall it was okay I just expected more flavor and a better cook on the food especially for the price

Tammy K.

Yelp
Not good. Service was awesome. Food so poor! We've been here many times but the food has been terrible as of late. We had a high top in the bar to order appetizers. The onion soup was awful. The crab cake was eh. The Iceberg and blue tasted like an old refrigerator. Very sad. It use to be very good But at these prices, even lower prices the food is sooo poor. Don't waste your money!

A T.

Yelp
You've got to be kidding me with this place. 4 scallops in my entire entree, nothing else. For $42. Never again.

Yelp
This was our second visit and it did not meet expectations from our first visit. This is a pricey steakhouse, so would assume they know how to properly cook steak. The steaks took some time to come out, and even as the server was setting them dawn, he said he thinks they may be overcooked so asked us to check. They were. They sent them back for new ones, and those took some time to come out as well, though this time cooled to order. The manager dropped them off asking if these were 'more to our liking' making it seem to me that we were being picky, not that they made the error. The servers were mice and seemed to be trying their best. The gave us one free dessert (why just one when two steaks were wrong?). Steaks are also very over salted, so beware. At this price point I likely will not return for that experience.

Yelp
We had such a FANTASTIC experience! My girlfriend told them on the reservation it was for my birthday, and they accommodated so well! They threw in an extra surprise. The food was great, so so great! Loved the carrots!! They sat us in a red semi circle booth. Such a great time and would absolutely recommend!!

Christy M.

Yelp
We had a delicious meal celebrating my husband's birthday. My daughter said that it was the best steak she's ever had. Our server, Laurie, was wonderful! We will definitely be back!

Edward O.

Yelp
My wife and come here regularly for special occasions. They never disappoint! Ignore the bad reviews - it's in the casino so no one under 21 is allowed. The wine list is excellent, as is the whiskey choice. The service is fantastic!

Yelp
The Chandler steakhouse is the located in the MGM Springfield Casino and Hotel in Springfield, MA. It is the high end restaurant in the casino and is only open on the weekends (Friday, Saturday). I got to try eating here on my last visit to the MGM Springfield Casino before I return back home to Hawaii. When I went there, it was pretty busy. The bar area was almost full and the dining area only had a few open tables. I didn't have a reservation so asked if I could sit at the bar. I got the last seat on the bar between a couple of high rollers I had met on the craps table and a retired military woman. The menu had the normal variety of higher end steaks and seafood at fine dining prices. I wasn't that hungry so I just ordered a ribeye steak med rare with no sides as I didn't have a way to keep or reheat leftovers as I was staying at the hotel. The meal came with bread but the bread was forgettable. My steak came out perfectly and came with a sprig of rosemary and a roasted black garlic. I enjoyed eating my steak and it made me full. The higher rollers next to me were having problems with the way their steak was cooked and didn't want another steak as a replacement. They ordered lots of appetizers as well so they were probably getting full for that as well. But as they were complaining, I was thinking to myself I got lucky ordering the ribeye steak instead of the more expensive steaks. The woman next to me was enjoying talking to the bartender and she ordered a lot of food including a dessert. I was finished eating my meal and was leaving before the woman got here dessert and before the high rollers were done complaining. And I arrived when they already had food in front of them. Service was good but not great by the bartender but he was busy with helping the others at the bar. Overall, my experience was good but I am not sure if they are consistently good due to my neighbors' experience. I would definitely return if I was craving steak and they were open.

Lamarr E.

Yelp
Awesome location in the MGM Springfield. For a steakhouse, the prices were fairly reasonable. For a 18oz ribeye I expected to pay well over 70 dollars but it was barely 60 dollars. All the items were rich in flavor and everything came out great. The only criticism would be the truffle Mac and cheese. The noodles were overcooked and it lacked a little seasoning. Overall, I loved the lighting and helpfulness of the staff. Definitely looking to dine again there in the future.

Lexi M.

Yelp
We always look forward to the nice steakhouses in a casino and The Chandler didn't disappoint. We came here for a wedding and we were hoping to try out this steakhouse! Their cocktail menu is absolutely amazing! I had a "hazed" or a smoked cocktail. I was very happy with it and the presentation was perfect! We only stopped in for some apps so we tried the lobster cake, bone marrow and the shrimp cocktail. All were amazing!! The staff was extremely nice and on top of their game. My boyfriend left his phone for over an hour and they held onto it to ensure we would come back. Loved this restaurant!

Myles M.

Yelp
I rarely complain but this was a tough trip to justify after the food and service that we received. We were a party of 7 with a reservation. Our dinner experience took 3 hours, waiting for our main course was well over an hour. When finally receiving our meals, all of our steaks were over done and when I say over done, I mean steaks that were well done and medium well when ordered Medium Rare. I was the only one to return mine since I couldn't justify spending $70 on a well done steak. Everyone else in the group sucked it up, because they couldn't imagine waiting any longer. Sides were mediocre and honestly pretty bland. My second steak was better but nothing special at all. I've had better steaks at the major chain steak houses for much less. With all that said the smoked old fashions were good. A little weak on the poor for a $20 drink but it's the only reason I can justify giving 2 stars instead of 1. If you are at the casino and looking for a place to eat there are better options within MGM. If money and time are things you don't care about or you have plenty of then give this place a shot and good luck.

Yelp
I'm negligent in writing this review since our visit was two months ago. But I wanted to be fair to the restaurant since on our previous visit we did not have a full dinner, we instead ordered apps and burgers. We were determined to see how a full dinner would be on this trip. There is still one more little glitch. This is a Steakhouse and neither of us ordered a steak... well, technically that may not be a totally accurate statement as you'll see. Once again, I started out with a Duke Generosity Lager ($8). My wife is starting to try Old Fashioned cocktails at different places so here she ordered an Orange-Rhubarb Old Fashioned ($15). We both were quite pleased with our drinks. The Lobster Bisque ($16) that was served to my wife with a sherry fennel foam was rich, creamy and very flavorful. My Chandler Onion Soup ($16) topped with caramelized raclette cheese was equally enjoyable. Not feeling like I wanted a steak, I decided to have the Seared Halibut ($36) over Swiss Chard with Saffron Beurre Monté and sun-dried tomatoes. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious with the saffron flavored butter. The Swiss chard and sun-dried tomatoes added a nice complementing texture. A really nice dish. OK, here's the semi-accurate part. My wife did order a steak... a Grilled Cauliflower Steak ($24). It was served with a cauliflower puree and sun-dried tomatoes. While she said it tasted fine, she admitted that she would not order it again because the flavors were not special enough to satisfy her palate. We did finish off our meal by sharing a Lemon Tart ($10) and a couple cups of very good Coffee ($4 each). The Tart was tart with a nice strong lemon flavor, it was decorated with several florets of meringue and served with a blueberry sauce, blueberry crumble, and blueberry sorbet. A very nice finish to our dinner.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised for a casino steakhouse. The lobster cake appetizer was the best thing we ate all night! The French martinis from the bar were some of the best I've ever had. We shared steak and fish and everything was well seasoned and flavorful. The waitress was amazing! Helpful, kind and knowledgeable of the menu. The hostesses wasn't as pleasant but didn't take from our experience. Will definitely be back!

Adam D.

Yelp
Great food. Spectacular service. Drinks were on point. Very nice inside definitely good for a nice dinner if you want to splurge

Georgianna B.

Yelp
Always a wonderful experience w fresh meats, vegetables and their new menu! Their take on the Wedge Salad is Amazing! Extraordinary service - their servers like Gregory really make the entire experience!

Paul A.

Yelp
I decided to dine at the Chandler Steakhouse this evening and it was a disappointment. My previous dining experience at the Chandler was above average and exceeded my expectations so I was hoping for more of the same. Everything except the sprite beverage went wrong. I ordered a filet butterflied well done, scallops and 2 loaded baked potatoes. The filet was blood red raw The filet was not butterflied The scallops never arrived and apparently were never put into the order Baked potato 1 was so burned on the bottom it was impossible to cut with a knife but fortunately there was baked potato 2 My experience at the Chandler has been either really good or so bad I would have been better off eating instant noodles. I would recommend going elsewhere unless you are willing to roll the dice on an expensive hit or miss dining experience.

Yelp
Walked in 5 to 10 minutes after closing not expecting anything magical to happen, but, in fact, magic is real and I witnessed it first hand at this restaurant. Servers and bartenders did a great job in inquiring on whether I could be taken or not, to which the answer was a solemn, 'no'. So, I shrugged my shoulders knowing the restaurant business, and decided to just sit at the bar and order a cocktail. Within 3 minutes of me sitting at the bar a man appears to my left asking what I'd like to eat, and to my surprise it was the executive chef himself! Through my shock he apologized, took my order, the order came out and he returned to check on me at least three more times, pepper in the bartenders and servers checking on me and apologizing for any miscommunication all the while. Today marks the absolute best restaurant experience I've ever had in my life. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Chandler.

Brian P.

Yelp
Have been going for about a year now (5-6 times total), but recently they've made some great changes - reportedly now ordering higher grade beef and butchering everyone in-house. The service has always been five-star, with Sonya and Amanda being absolute standouts. They've always gone out of their way to say hello - even if I'm seated in another section - and provide world class service on par with NYC, LA, Vegas, or any other food destination. It's amazing to see that level of service in Springfield. Highly recommend, and if you're going, ask for their section, you won't be disappointed.

Amy M.

Yelp
We went to The Chandler Steakhouse for dinner last Friday night and were amazed by the terrible food. There is nothing "fine" or "sophisticated" about dining there. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktail was way overcooked and the cocktail sauce tasted like jarred bbq sauce ($22). The loaded bake potatoes had clearly been cooked many hours/days before and reheated ($14 !!!!!!!). They were hard to cut into they were so overcooked and they were hardly "loaded" with anything. The $66 prime NY strip was alright, but I've had better at Longhorn or Outback steakhouses. I would have expected to be amazed by a steak at that price. The service was also terrible. We were there around 8:30pm and you would think the food would be fresh and the staff would be spot on for all the folks coming in from the casino. Save your money. Don't go.

Anny S.

Yelp
We came here tonight for dinner, our server Laquita was amazing and helped us decide what to eat. We ended up order garlic shrimp, half chicken w purée potatoes & mushrooms, and half lobster. The lobster was basic, but the garlic shrimp sauce made it better (I would suggest that grill the lobster and pour that garlic sauce on top of it, that will be perfect and get five stars). The half chicken was delicious and the skin was crispy. Lots of flavor and reminded me when I went to Bricco in west Hartford and ate their chicken dish. Very similar with flavoring! Garlic shrimp was good and savory. However the price tag of $21 for 4 jumbo shrimp was not worth it. I wouldn't order again because of it. Overall our dinner was well worth it since my fiancé had food comp of $80 bucks and our dinner was due to him playing poker at mgm. Thanks to him we had a free dinner.

Yelp
The Good: - Restaurant atmosphere - The Onion Soup - The Bread - The Truffle Mac & Cheese (we had it made without Truffles though), while the flavor was good/rich, the noodles are extremely mushy and gooey. - The manager who checked on our table, corrected cooking errors TWICE!, offered us a complementary side dish to bring out with the new steak they had to re-fire, and provided respectful and courteous customer service. The Bad: - Restaurant botched what was supposed to be a nice Mother's Day dinner. - We ordered a Porterhouse Steak for 2 medium rare and it came out grey/overcooked, we had to send it back. They fired up a new one and brought it to the table but it was raw/cold. Sent that back as well. The Manager agreed with us that both the cooks on the steaks were not medium rare and unsatisfactory. Sloppy cutting/presentation of the steak too. - Asparagus was more than grilled, it tasted charred. - Loaded baked potato, not so loaded. - Wedge salad, have had better. - Not a big/good selection of side dishes for a steakhouse. - General service was not so attentive, aside from the Manager as stated above. Barely saw the waitress after she took our order. Had to track down to get water refilled and ask for more butter and salad dressing. There didn't seem to be any staff around to attend to diners. Overall not impressed for an expensive steakhouse and would not go back or recommend.

Yelp
Visited recently and was happy to see they had a new menu created by their new chef. I've been a couple times before and always thought of the experience of very average - great, friendly staff, but was always underwhelmed by the under seasoned/under cooked steaks. This new chef/menu is fantastic! Everything was well seasoned, cooked to perfection and the sides/sauces compliment everything amazingly. The servers were friendly and prompt and the bartender even made up a gin drink for me (something like an Aviation) that tasted great. If you've steered away from Chandler's because of a poor experience in the past, I would urge you to give them and this new menu a try now! The only thing that would make the place better would be to see them opened a couple more days during the week - I would probably visit MGM more frequently if I knew I could get dinner here on a Thursday night. Also - while the crème brûlée was a great way to end the evening, I do miss the bananas foster from a couple years ago :-)

Yelp
3 friends and I went in for dinner recently. We walked in around 515 on a Sunday night and that portion of the dining room was empty minus one table. The hostess asked if we had a reservation which we did not, at which point she said she "guessed" she could "fit us in" at 530. After being seated we were greeted by our waitress Alex......who was friendly and attentive until she took our orders and then we barely saw her until it was time for the check and the few times we did see her we had to make the same requests more than once....water refill, more bread, etc. I got French onion soup which was fine but nothing special. I also had the 14oz prime rib. I asked for it medium rare and it was closer to medium. Again it was good but nothing special and I've had better at lesser restaurants. We ordered asparagus and the truffle Mac and cheese. The asparagus was the best thing we had to eat outside of the bread. The flavor of the Mac and cheese was good but the noodles were absolute mush. One of my buddies got the steak frites and loved it. Another guy got the 18oz bone in ribeye. He said it was just ok and it was also served to him on the colder side. He also said the lobster bisque "sucked" The last guy got the New York strip which he also said was cold. Unlike my buddy with the ribeye, he spoke up and it was taken back to heat up. He was still unhappy with it however the staff did take care of him and i believe comped his meal. Overall, each of us spent around $100 and expected a lot more for what we experienced. This was one of the worst steakhouse experiences I ever had and my friends agreed. This is definitely not a place I would go to again.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
A nice surprise inside of a busy casino. Make sure to make reservations at least a week in advance because although the place doesn't seem busy, they don't usually take immediate walk ins - at least not on the weekends. Be prepared to spend some cash (about $200 for 2) but totally worth it. The food is amazing! It was my husband's birthday so they gave him a nice handwritten card and we sat in a fancy red booth. We ordered the sourdough garlic bread, filets, and loaded baked potatoes. The filets came with this intense caramelized roasted garlic that was out of this world. Will definitely make this an annual birthday dinner. Perfect to spend a little time at the casino then have a nice dinner.

Yelp
I can sum up The Chandler Steakhouse in two defining words; expensive, flavorless. But allow me to give you a little more context to my strong stance on these words. If you want to eat food bland enough to make you believe you have Covid-19 and lost your sense of taste, this is the spot for you. The service is good, it's very formal and the service staff isn't overbearing. The atmosphere is nice. The architecture and overall ambiance of the restaurant is very beautiful. But you don't go out to dinner for the way a place looks. No, you go out to dinner and spend your hard earned money for the luxury of good food outside the norm of your own kitchen. Unfortunately, The Chandler Steakhouse misses the mark completely and doesn't know what good food is. And if you're going to charge people essentially the same amount of money you'd pay for a 2023 Lamborghini Huracán V10, the food better be the best damn food money can buy. But the sad reality is, you can get better tasting food at the food court located just at the west side of the casino, about a 45 second walk away. Try Macho Taco! Honestly, if you're going out to dinner with the expectation of being blown away, give The Chandler Steakhouse a try. You won't believe your disappointment, you'll be impressed!

Gil T.

Yelp
Went to dinner here twice while at the MGM. The service there is top notch - from Roberta at the bar or Brittany in the main dining room. Check it out if you're in Springfield. Food, cocktails & wine were great!

Tina Q.

Yelp
This was such a pleasant experience. We didn't have a reservation but got seated at a nice table in the lounge. Our food came out in less than 20 minutes. Everything was cooked well and tasted good. Atmosphere was nice and the service was great. We will definitely be back.

Marleena C.

Yelp
I loved The Chandler! Walking in I was floored by the stunning decor. Beautiful!! Service was great.. they got us seated right away on a Saturday! Our server was a delight. My friend and I ordered drinks right away.. my friend had a Bellini and I had a spicy Smokey margarita. Delicious!! And dangerous! Next they served us these mouth watering dinner rolls with honey butter. For our entrees my friend got the pork chop and I got the scallops. My scallops came with a vegetable purée and Brussel leaves and all was cooked to perfection. I cleaned my plate in minutes. We also got a side of puréed mashed potatoes that were sinfully glorious. We did not get dessert this time but they had a $25 bananas foster that serves they whole table and sounded ridiculously yummy. I will be back for sure. With a meal like that, why wouldn't I??!!?

What a disappointment. We chose this venue for a birthday celebration with out-of-town guests. We felt there were entertainment and dining choices contained within one building, which would be convenient for enjoying a big day. The Chandler Steakhouse's reservation system wouldn't allow me to make a reservation online for 6 people. I called the MGM, and they said I had to go through the restaurant, but they only respond to emails from Thursdays - Sundays. Fine. Upon arrival, the front of the house was very courteous, and our table was ready on time. We sat around for some time before being offered a variety of water. Much later, we were offered the option of ordering other beverages. We ordered oysters, octopus, and the New England cheese course for appetizers. Oysters were fine. The octopus was bland but not terrible, although the portion was tiny. There was a generous selection of cheeses and accompanying condiments, but they only provided three crackers. What? That was ridiculous. Entrees were very disappointing. I had the fillet mignon with bearnaise on the side. I asked for it to be cooked to "medium." It was a large chunk of meat, that's for sure. But it was horrible. It was cold when it arrived. Part of it was cooked to the correct temperature, but there were patches of cold blue meat in the center. The seasoning was bland. The bearnais was fair but also bland. How does a steakhouse cook a steak so badly? My husband had the Porkchop and was disappointed. He said it was underseasoned and lacked flavor. My side, a loaded baked potato, was terrible. How do you mess up a baked potato? My daughter ordered a soup that she said reminded her of lukewarm applesauce. We were going to bring a cake, but the restaurant charges a $4 per person "slicing fee." Good grief. Our food server was not great, but not the worst either. The restaurant was clean. I couldn't believe how poor the food quality proved to be for the price range of this restaurant. I've had much, much better meals at chain restaurants. It was embarrassing to have our guests eat there. I'll never go back.

Yelp
My friend and I both felt this steakhouse was "alright." Now, that is not bad by any means, and I will be clear that the service and accommodations were on par. I was happy that I was able to have plain, steamed asparagus as a side. I was hoping for a steamed veggie medley or steamed broccoli, but was at least happy to have something plain. I ate the salmon and my friend had the small filet. Wedge salad was good, as well as the caprese. Having been to so many steakhouses, this didnt stand out much. Nothing wrong with it, but at the same time...it doesnt stand out in any way. I'd like to see more flexibility to order more plain vegetables for those with dietary restrictions. Salt and pepper should also be provided on the table.

Yelp
Not sure if COVID disruptions brought on all the recent negative reviews but we had a great overall experience. Seating, ambiance and decor were all top notch as one would expect from an MGM casino property, the staff was excellent and prices reasonable for the class of restaurant. We enjoyed our apps including a very solid seafood tower, french onion soup, iceberg wedge. The steak had good crust and while no Peter Lugers or Wolfgangs, I certainly wouldn't call it poor as some have - cooked a nice medium rare as requested. Perhaps they should source some Pat La Freida or comparable meat purveyor to take things up to the next level. The sides were plentiful and delicious as well. Overall a very enjoyable dinner and would go again if at the property. Lastly an anniversary card on the table waiting for us was a nice touch.

Yelp
As always, Chandler's is a beautiful restaurant, and a wonderful place to be with someone you love, on Valentine's Day. (Unless you're gay?) The restaurant handed roses to all the couples dining on Valentine's Day. We are 2 men, having dinner on Valentine's Day- You do the math. I didn't have a problem with the rose-thing, but my partner did. Then I felt partly responsible, I let my man down. He said to me "if we were two women, we would have two roses right now." That's when It made sense. Even with a reservation, we had to wait for our table to be ready. When the host finally sat us in the dining room, she said, if we want a booth, we can sit in the bar. Kinda Confusing because We didn't request a booth? Or show any dissatisfaction with the table? We came for the romantic ambiance of the dining room! We were not going to sit alone, in the corner of a dark & empty bar on Valentine's Day. Besides that, she informed us that we had to wear a mask at all times, and we could only sit for 90 minutes due to covid. An introduction to the QR menu would have been helpful. The gentleman who greeted our table pointed out our server. He poured us some water, and then we waited. And waited and waited. About 30 minutes. The initial gentleman then returned to take our order. He offered no explanation for our missing server. We could see, our server was too busy "wining and dining" his other tables, popping expensive bottles of wine. Good for him. We are not drinkers. But we came to EAT. 45 minutes in - we finally got two dinner rolls!!! Chop salad - has corn, avocado and grated cheese (missing ingredients on the menu?) salad is great but way too much cheese on top. I mean like 4X the amount. Onion soup was awesome but has a potent smell. Still awesome! Lobster cake was a miss. The sauce served with it was the best part. Truffle mac and cheese was good but dry. I mixed it with the cream spinach and both were pretty good. The loaded baked potatoes looked awesome but sold-out. Cream of spinach - good, needs salt. Herb-roasted mushrooms seems to be missing the herbs, and salt. Potato pure was also a miss. (Under salted) and heavy, like glue. I had the NY Strip, he had the Tenderloin. Tenderloin was the better of the two. Both needed salted! Scallops were over-cooked (rubber) but enjoyable flavor. Shame. My partner seems to think the poor service we received was because we are 2 gay men. I like to believe it was just poor service. What we both agreed on is that we will not be returning to Chandler's.

Yelp
Place is beautiful, my waitress is very attentive and personable which makes my pick of restaurant a pleasant one. Drink came out right away. I ordered the caramelized scallops and side of mushrooms. The bread was so so, thank the lord for the amazing butter. I was overall happy with my dish. The entree serving size is small, but it filled me up. I ordered the cheesecake and cappuccino, which was fabulous.

Yelp
We were staying at the MGM for a few days late November. Having grown up in Western, MA I had remembered all the times I wished my parents would take us out for a great steak dinner, but because we were kids and wouldn't have appreciated it. Being back years later, I was feeling nostalgic being in town, but now I'm ready to see what I was missing (besides the fact I never would have imagined in my wildest dreams there would be a casino in my neighborhood). 7:45 reservation. Beautiful circular dining room. I'm seated with my back against the curtain and have a full view scope of the restaurant. The chairs, are a bit difficult to sit in, so my arms are either on the table or awkward on the dining chair resembling a powder room chair. Our waters arrived, and we ask for lemons. Twice. Arlene brings out a beautiful brioche loaf accompanied by a giant ramekin of soft butter. I order a rose', a few minutes later my boyfriend orders wine, and almost 30 minutes later it arrives, as I've been waiting to cheers him. We put our first and second orders in. The wedge salad and onion soup came together, and he had asked for Caesar instead of blue cheese. he hates blue cheese. ...and it arrives with... you guessed it... blue cheese. He mentioned to me that the salad had an odor to it, well it was the funk of the cheese. By the time they come come back with the carafe of Caesar, I had already finished my soup. The wine came in time so he could eat his salad. Cheers. Manager comes over to ask us how everything is, and we mention our issues. He lets us know that the next round is on him, and then he nearly trips into the chair behind him. In the meantime, we start to stack all of our empty dishes on the table just to see how long it takes.... On an end note, our mouths are as dry as the Sahara desert. Water refills are scarce. We did not stay for dessert.

Yelp
Never disappoints! As a frequent visitor to Chandler's I can honestly say I have never been disappointed with the quality of my mea. But what is mor impressive is the service. Alex is usually my server and SHE never disappoints. Always friendly and attentive she goes the extra mile to make sure my visit is fantastic. She anticipates what we need and always delivers A+ service. The entire staff from jeff to the chefs to the servers, the consistency is always there. Best in the area by far! wont go anywhere else - a must visit if you are in the area!

Yelp
Guys night out and decided to check out the steakhouse inside the casino. There was no wait which was awesome because usually on a Saturday night there is. To start we ordered the seafood tower. It was served with a group of sauces and all three were delicious. The tower itself, huge. Loaded with fresh seafood. The appetizer lasted a whole 5 minutes with 4 hungry boys devouring every last bit. As far as meals two of us ordered ribeye steaks and two of us ordered the lamb chops. We added a couple extra sides of Brussels sprouts and an order of scallops (4). The scallops were soft and flavorful, hot, and seemed fresh. And they were gigantic. The steaks were full of flavor and cooked perfectly (still mooing). Topped with roasted garlic, that I had to be coached on how to properly eat, it made for an awesome meal. The lamb chops were also very flavorful. Tender, and beautiful looking - there was no wasted food on this table. We didn't save room for desert. Our waitress was awesome. Laid back, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu even though me and the guys could be slightly difficult. All in all a wonderful night. I will come back here again, maybe with the wife though for s romantic dining experience.

Yelp
The food here is very overpriced for what it is. A piece of chicken that doesn't even fill you up is 32 dollars. Steaks are almost 60. Very little flavor in the food and very little reason for me to come back. I've visited here twice both times I've left either hungry or disappointed. My last experience I left feeling both ways. Would t recommend coming here unless you wanna spend a ton of money on overpriced food

Yelp
I went here for dinner tonight with my husband. We decided we wanted a nice date night out and I have very mixed reviews on The Chandler Steakhouse inside of MGM Springfield Casino. The decor is gorgeous, I loved the big open dining room. The service was pretty good but this is where my criticism comes into play: First: I ordered their onion soup and had to ask twice to get a spoon to eat it with. The soup smelled delicious but it tasted overly sweet. I just couldn't get passed that. Second: I ordered the NY Strip (about the average price of a high end steakhouse) and the steak was rather bland, if I'm honest. We ordered the Mac n cheese which needed seasoning, the mushrooms were cold and the Lemon potatoes were the only thing actually hot at the table (temperature wise). My spouse has been here before and he said it's usually always delicious. I am honestly not sure if I would go back here, but maybe it was just an off night, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and give them 2 stars.

Yelp
This is a very attractive restaurant. The viewing windows of the kitchen from the dining area (with the flame rising from the grill) were very neat. The service (especially our server, Theresa) was impeccable. The prices were also reasonable for a restaurant of this ilk. The appetizer (shrimp scampi with crostini) and side dishes (truffled macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach) were also extremely tasty. The 7 oz. filet mignon was about the best we've ever had. My 12 oz. strip steak (not dry aged I don't believe), while very tasty, wasn't very tender and was a bit chewy (hence no 5 star review). Notable muscle fibers throughout. The roasted garlic bulb, which contained soy, ginger, and a balsamic reduction was both imaginative and excellent. The prix fixe menu offering (from 4-5 pm) also offers good value.

Yelp
I chose this restaurant as a venue to celebrate Matt's birthday AND retirement. We made reservations on Open Table and were greeted promptly upon arrival. The first seating attempt was a corner table with one built in seat against the wall and another seat opposite. Small table and didn't feel 'celebratory' nor did it look comfortable. However, our request for a different seat was honored without question and we were seated in a comfortable booth. Service was slow, albeit professional. The food was good and I've attached pictures to demonstrate the two meals we ordered as well as the menu with prices. However - I know it's a casino restaurant and a destination - but I didn't feel the value was there for the expense. I DO know I had my first and probably last $12 baked potato. It was really well cooked but I'm pretty sure the mark up was more than necessary. and the 'fixings' were what I have at home - no pizzazz at all. The beer I had (Peroni) and the mixed drink Matt had were priced reasonably and within the range we pay at other restaurants in the area. The drink was good but it took repeated requests for a lime for the drink. The weird part was although lemons were provided in excess for our water - the lime provided was a slice and could have been covered by a quarter and just as thin - very odd. My filet mignon was good but not any better than Outback quality. Matt liked his scallops but found the tangy cauliflower cream to be odd tasting and not a good pairing with the subtle seafood. Only three choices for dessert? Really? Service was professional- however there is a well paced 'slow' and a poor service 'slow'. I'm pretty sure the slow was not deliberate. We felt it WAS a good choice for a birthday observance as far as being something new and different. Next time it'll be one of our regulars - for much less money and much better food/service.

Yelp
I'm always hesitant to eat at a new restaurant until they've figured things out. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing everything was after only being open a short time. I went to dinner on a Friday night to celebrate my friend's engagement. We were seated promptly at a comfortable booth. Our server, Rebecca, greeted us promptly & suggested a few of her favorite signature drinks. We each picked a different one. The presentation of the drinks was awesome, but didn't compare to the flavor of them. We each ordered an appetizer. I ordered the steak tartare & my friend & her fiancee both ordered the bone marrow(they had dined here the week before & couldn't wait to come back for this). My steak tartare was perfection! I'm so glad they let me try their bone marrow it was mouthwatering. The bread they serve is glazed with melted butter & so sinfully delicious. For dinner we decided to share 3 entrees. The prime rib with fresh grated horseradish that they do tableside! The lemon sole was well balanced, we really loved the big chunks of lemon. The roasted scallops with Brussels sprouts & cauliflower cream were cooked perfectly & tasted like fall. We paired these entrees with sides. You must get the pureed potatoes they are so silky. My friends raved about the mushrooms, but I don't like mushrooms. They did however smell wonderful & I was tempted to try them. We each picked a different dessert to try(not that we had room). The chocolate cake was rich & chocolatey without being overly sweet. The key lime pie had a mile high meringue topping that my friends fiancee couldn't get enough of, but the budino was my absolute favorite. It had this chocolate cookie crust topped with a custard layer then finished with a caramel/ butterscotch topping. I can't wait to go back very soon. I live about an hour away, but it is definitely worth the drive. Thanks for a great celebration!
