Amazing. Arguably best lobster roll I’ve ever had. Fried onions and pickle pairing was amazing. The crab and Gouda dip was without a doubt the best dip I’ve had. It is a must. The bone marrow— wow. The lobster Mac and cheese— wow. And sitting outdoors by the water. It was amazing and worth every penny

Was looking for some food to go then decided to try the oysters one of the best oysters I've ever had in my life there was a liquid you can add to it like a cucumber Cooley really quite tasty. Manhattan clam chowder was excellent really wasn't a way surface was really good very patient with me and courteous I'm definitely coming back to check out more items on the menu. Great atmosphere pricing was reasonable.

Beautiful setting, friendly staff, and amazing food! I have celiacs and must order gluten free. They easily accommodated my needs and brought me the lobster Mac and cheese prepared gluten free. To same it was amazing would be selling it short! Tremendous! My wife ordered the crab cake BLT with tots and loved it as well. This won’t be the last time we come here!

Food was excellent. Small portions for the price, but high quality. Clam chowder was great! Fries were well seasoned and the fried atlantic cod was full of flavor.

I forgot to take any pictures but this restaurant was wonderful. It was very convenient in the heart of town (between the dock and the whaling museum). Our server, Mara, was delightful. The lobster Mac & cheese was a home run, the hamburger is the best on Nantucket, and the claim chowder was very good. Will add a few Nantucket pics because it is a quaint island town.

Excellent food and service. They have a nice outdoor pet-friendly dining area in the alley behind the restaurant, overlooking the wharf. Pictures: Tuna Nachos, Mixed Green Salad, Crab Cake BLT.

What an awesome place! If you're into bloody Mary's, this is your stop. They will put anything on top of your bloody Mary and give you the true experience. The bloody Mary in the picture was decked out with colossal shrimp and lobster all absolutely delicious! Espresso martini also is delicious. The cream on top is made with Guinness creamer whip (homemade). And the bartender Maura can make the best drinks and her customer service is top notch and friendly!

A pricey spot for a meal, but the food is absolutely delicious. Best fish and chips on the island! The breading of the fish was so good, and nice and crispy! The fries were tasty too. My mom got the fish sandwich with tater tots and raved about both. Definitely a great spot to check out for tasty seafood.

We were in Nantucket for the day. Since it's off peak season not many options for lunch. We came across The Charlie Noble and thought we'd try it. Restaurant just a few mins from ferry docks. Friendly welcoming staff. Our waiter n bar tender were so helpful. Unlike other restaurants in Nantucket this is bigger spacious restaurant .Nicely decorated interior. We tried the brunch menu. So many options n was hard to choose. But we settled on lobster Reuben n Korean chicken Sammie. Omg that lobster Reuben was to die for. Generous portions of lobster n every bite/ morsel was delicious. And the fries that came with it was so good . The Korean chicken Sammy too was good n spicy. We just polished off our plates. Not a morsel left. And then walked away to burn the calories. Tx god for that. What a great brunch/ lunch it was. Thank you the Charlie noble. Wi certainly may come back if we r in the area.

More than anything, the reason i recommend the Charlie Noble is the space. The dining room is huge, and never seems loud. This is in stark contrast to every other restaurant we've to in Nantucket, which have been small with tables packed pretty close together. Even with sports on the tv and people at the bar, you can talk at a reasonable volume here and not overhear everyone else's conversations. The shishito peppers were nice, fish and chips exactly what you'd hope for, and Guinness is on tap, which I can never resist. Lobster mac and cheese left something to be desired on the cheese front, but the lobster was nice and tender. And the service is always friendly. This is not a place that will blow anyone's mind, but I have never had a bad dish here. Still my favorite place for dinner on Nantucket.

Food was pretty good, service took awhile. Ambiance was ok. An easy spot that wasn't crowded compared to other spots in town.

I recently had lunch at The Charlie Noble on Martha's Vineyard and was thoroughly impressed by the experience. The restaurant offers a lot of delicious options, and I decided to try the lobster quesadilla and a veggie burger. The lobster quesadilla was exceptional, packed with flavorful lobster and corn. It was very filling. I could only finish three out of the four pieces but every bite was delicious. The veggie burger was also well-prepared and satisfying. In addition to the great food, the restaurant was impeccably clean, including the restrooms, which is always a plus. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff making the experience even more good.

Quick stop for lunch for 4. No wait. Good cocktails beer and wine. The oysters were the best I have had in long time. The cucumber mignonette was great! The seafood chowder was amazing. Lobster quesadilla was also great. The lobster blt sliders and the Korean BBQ was also great!

When Nantucket calls off I go. Especially when it's the daffodil festival . This is an extremely busy time to find a restaurant but we were lucky enough to get a table at the Charlie. . As soon as I walked in the door I spied the Lonster quesadillas and they looked amazing. When I asked the waiter he said hands down they were the best thing on the menu and indeed they were. Jam Packed with plenty of lobster chunks it made this New Englander very happy!

New England clam chowder 4 stars out of 5(it would I've been five stars if they had it in a bread bowl) Hot lobster roll 5 out of 5 Wings are tasty! Service was pretty good. Korean chicken Sandwhich and french fries were okay, def wouldn't order again. Bread was hard, fries were average. 2 out of 5

Recommended by a local, this was a very charming and happy vibe place. The drinks were delightful and the Lobster sliders were tasty and hit the spot.

We were last on Nantucket about nine years ago and went to a highly-rated and chic small plates place. While the tastes there were good, it was very expensive and we left hungry and going to get pizza after! So this visit we wanted a casual pub with good food, good drinks, and less pretentious vibe. Charles Noble delivered. Their outside patio is beautiful. Interior is modern and spacious. All of our food was very good--and generous portions! We shared the smoked bluefish appetizer and fried cauliflower. So so so good--both. I had the smaller sized lobster roll which was huge. The buns are larger than other places. Toasted perfectly with tons of big lobster chunks. My hubby had the fish and chips, also delicious. We both agreed the French fries were really light and tasty. I had a good Manhattan. He had local IPAs. Wonderful server spending her second summer on Nantucket (she is from Bulgaria). Very attentive and nice. We returned to our B and B very contented. Cheers to Charles Noble for a great dining experience for us.

After a pretty below average meal, my fiancé and I were on the hunt for a great meal. Luckily we found it here. I got the lobster quesadilla which was amazing, it had a ton of lobster and cheese on it. The corn inside was also a nice addition so that it didn't overwhelm the lobster flavor. Then it was topped with a drizzle of chipotle aioli which really brought it together. The whole quesadilla was a good size and great to share. Moving on to the crab cake BLT which we liked even better. The crab cake was seasoned perfectly, and had the perfect soft inside but crispy outside. The bun, lettuce, and tomato went so well with it. One of the best that I've had. The french fries were a nice touch and were also cooked well. I thought these broke up the crab cake nicely to get a taste of something else. This was so good we even thought about coming back here for dinner but were too full once the time came.

Fine spot for lunch. Not a lot of great options for lunch on the island like there is for dinner. The fried fish sandwich is good but its alot of bread compared to the size of the piece of fish. Lobster quesadilla is good as well. They give you a good amount of Lobster. Simon the patio overlooking the harbor if it is nice out!

Wonderful service and great staff. The restaurants offered outdoor seating in addition to indoor one. Definitely a plus on a beautiful summer day. They also are family friendly as they offer coloring paper and crayons for usage. Night time the restaurant turn into a disco bar.

Get the lobster quesadilla if you go here, it is out of this world! My friend and I came here for dinner on our first night here. We didn't have a reservation and we walked in and were seated immediately. The service was quick, but at times almost a little too quick. We ordered the lobster quesadilla and the caesar salad to share. I'd recommend both, especially the lobster quesadilla because it is unique and the flavors worked really well together. The salad was also good, but the crunchy pieces of bread that served as giant croutons were the best part. The servers were a little too eager to clear our plates. I was putting more salad onto my plate when a server came up and tried to take it away from me and asked if i was done! I appreciated that they were paying attention to us and not leaving us with a bunch of plates but please do not take plates away as we are attempting to serve!

Our wait service was very good. Both men had a welcoming attitude and smiles. They also checked in and immediately replaced a meal my spouse didn't enjoy with another. The food was above average and we would return.

After 20 years of coming to Nantucket, this is the 1st time I've been here (& my 1st Yelp review)! My mom is gluten free & this place is great with accommodating gluten/cross contamination. We saw that on here, but the other gluten free reviews I saw are older. Here to confirm that they are accurate! Our waiter was awesome as well. We loved the disco balls & AC! Pictured: Noble Margarita Mixed Greens Salad Lobster Mac & Cheese (* Did not get gluten free) Lobster Roll (Gluten Free) Oysters (Gf friendly sauces) Fries (Also gluten free - this isn't the case everywhere!). We loved everything we got! Only pitfall was the bathroom. The floor was soaked (and we both had long pants on of course) & there were no paper towels. Other than that, we highly recommend!! It can be tough finding places as a family that are gf friendly & I've found there aren't enough reviews that mention it, especially when the food and service is also good!

We had a stellar lunch here. Service is not five stars (young, inexperienced and slow) but the food was top notch. Best crab dip we ever had, the raw bar items we ordered (shrimp and oysters) were outstanding. The outdoor area by the bay is very picturesque!

Straight off the ferry, head to The Charlie Noble for a coveted back patio table (water view) just as they opened on a busy summer Saturday. The oysters were plump and tasty, the best I've ever had, served with a cucumber infused vinegar, carefully added to my oyster a drop at a time, coupled with refreshing cocktails ...and then the lobster roll arrived. It was jaw dropping, loaded with fresh lobster piled high on a toasted to perfection brioche bun. It was a perfect balance of buttery goodness that was flavorful, yet light enough to allow the lobster to be the star of the show. I left satisfied without feeling overly full and energized enough to wander the shop of downtown Nantucket. Without a doubt, I'd recommend The Charlie Noble. Friendly service, and I will absolutely round back.

Great place to visit while in Nantucket! I was working the wine and food festival and had a few hours to spare and was starving. They had my favorite rose BTG so I had to make a quick stop. I ordered the tuna poke bowl which was very fresh but also a bit smaller than others I've tried in my opinion and quite expensive too. Their outdoor dining is cute and not far from the ocean so the views are nice. An easy place to sit down for a quick lunch while shopping downtown. Service was slow but not sure how many staff were on that day or time. Cheers!

We visit Charlie Noble every time we go to Nantucket. The food is consistently good, occasionally very good. Prices are reasonable for the touristy part of Nantucket. The point deductions are due to inconsistent service and that paying via credit card defaults to a 25% tip. Management is going to wind up costing their wait staff as people react negatively to this.

The restaurant ambiance is typical nautical and fits with the theme of Nantucket. The food was very good, I had the lobster roll and it was good. The service was slow and it wasn't very busy, it just seemed as if our server was out out by having to be at work. The wine lists have no prices, even for a glass so you have to ask. Let's just say if you don't have any money worries at all; take a risk, I was thrilled to see Sancerre by the glass on the menu.

Great lobster roll! I asked for fried onions on the side. They sprinkled it with old bay seasoning, which I don't love (you could ask them to omit it if you don't like that taste), but it was really delicious! Nice ambiance on the patio looking out into the water. Very friendly service.

Wanted to find a nice dinner spot for our last night on the island. They have a large patio with a great view. The fish and chips were pretty good and you could tell the fish was fresh. I always hate knocking stars for service, but being a Sunday and it wasn't substantially busy our server was less than attentive and had a terrible attitude. It also took them almost 20 minutes to take our drink/food order. Would definitely go back for the location and view but the service really put a damper on it.

Very impressed by the food here! Not just the seafood, but the craftsmanship and thought that went to creating each dish. It makes for great presentation and texture. TLDR - get the lobster roll and the manchego crab dip, and crab cakes! MANCHEGO CRAB DIP*** Melty, deeply savory, with crab finely mixed in to create a smooth texture served in a skillet so that the edges are nice and crispy without any burning. Served with tortilla chips (feel homemade, not sure tho) with a great crunch. I was shocked by how much I liked it as though I've had lots of crab, I don't usually end up loving it the way I did this - and the crab flavor was pretty strong as well! CRAB CAKE*** The appetizer comes with just one crab cake so if you're feeling crab cakes, maybe get one of the entrees. I'm also not normally a fan of crab cakes but I saw the good reviews and I'm so glad we did. This crispy, delicate exterior that precedes a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth crab patty that while has crab flavor also is nicely salty, savory, and other herbs and flavors kick in as well. I wish I was more well versed to describe each of them but all I knew was that it was yummy! And I kept going back for more - another dish I was surprised I really enjoyed! LOBSTER ROLL*** Interesting take with the nicely toasted bread here as it was not cut all the way so it's almost like a bread bowl/sandwich combo which was cool. You get big pieces of really TENDER lobster topped with some herb garnishes and what I think was crispy onions? Either way the contrast in textures and flavors created a really diverse flavor profile that I loved. It was a cold lobster roll with mayo but nothing was too overpowering. COD FISH SANDWICH They did a great job with this; thick patty of cod that was so so tender, melt in your mouth, fried to a beautiful golden brown and the add-ons created again a diverse flavor profile that takes it to the next level. You get the nice sourness, freshness and crunch from the pickles; the tartar sauce had a little color to it, maybe reminiscent of thousand island just a little bit? But still mostly tasted like tartar sauce - just taken up a notch! Fries were also beautifully crispy and seasoned, with a great hearty and savory potato-ey flavor. CLAM CHOWDER This chowder in particular tasted a little sweeter/milkier than the other ones I've had so far; it was yummy though the clam meat was a little tougher than I was used to getting, and the flavor wasn't as deeply savory/salty as the others I've had so my family didn't feel it was the best we had on our city-hopping trip but it was still enjoyable. Can't comment on the chicken sandwich since I didn't get to eat any of it but a pic is included for your reference :)

Prime Rib was amazing!! It came with all the fixings. They did not skimp on the portion at all. I have had prime rib at many places on the island and this is by far the best one I've had. Great price for everything you get!!

Excellent food & service. Fantastic atmosphere. I loved the decor and has a great Nantucket vibe.

The staff was really nice and the place was clean. We had very nice cocktails and didn't have to wait long for our food. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese and it was pretty watery w without a lot of flavor. Salting the pasta maybe would have helped and more cheese because I didn't feel like it was mac n cheese, I felt it was lobster, some macaroni, and a few pieces of shredded cheese trying to hold it together with too much water. I didn't even finish it but I ate the lobster in it because it was also expensive, which I expect on Big Island. He ordered the surf and turf burger and was not impressed as it was overcooked and also lacked flavor. He seemed to like the fries and that was good. I tasted his and it was definitely over cooked. Next time we're around, we'll give it another shot, but it'll be a while.

Had the halibut, not really that well made, pretty dry..not sure about the veggies it was served with, they seemed deep fried and chewy..nice people and atmosphere though..just wish I ordered something else...

The service here was amazing. They were so friendly and had great recommendations. My daughter had a Mac and cheese and I had crab cakes and the clam chowder with a glass of wine. Delish and relaxing!

The food and service were both stellar! They had tvs to watch football and were very accommodating and allowed my dog to come inside the restaurant. Also got the lobster Mac n cheese and it was tasty with a little bit of spice and super cheesy!!

Consistent, great service, classic. I like the salmon, but anything my wife or I order is great. Open all year major bonus.

Atmosphere and Service were wonderful and food and cocktails were great. Everything our group had exceeded our expectations - didn't expect that much lobster in the lobster quesadilla!

The Poke Bowl appetizer was excellent, but the halibut was overcooked and dry. The decadent chocolate cake was also a bit dry. The building interior was interesting, with a vaulted wooden ceiling that I liked very much. The waiter was attentive.

The food was moderate at best, service was fine and ambiance nothing special. Could have been improved upon with fresher ingredients. We ordered the BLT crab cake and it was pretty unremarkable.

Food and service were both great. The tater tots the waiter recommended were fantastic. For Nantucket this place was a great value, food got to us right away and we were in and out in less than an hour on a busy Thursday night.

DO NOT EAT HERE. Service was absolutely terrible. Easily the worst on the island. Food was mediocre at best. Don't come here.

Underwhelming crab cake sandwich with no flavor. So so oysters. Breaded cod bland as paper. A total disappointment.

Cute local establishment. We stopped in for a drink and hors d'oeuvres before getting on the ferry back to Hyannis. The bartender was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

First time in Nantucket, heard The Charlie Noble was the spot. Sat outside, had a beautiful view of the water. Acceptional service, had the American Burger it was very delightful. Costly, but that's to be accepted in the area.

After some subpar experiences at restaurants in Nantucket, we ate here for lunch twice. The tuna nachos are great. We really enjoyed the lobster quesadilla. The calamari with kimchi was great. We enjoyed the mixed drinks and even had a great view from a high top on the inside. Definitely with a visit in the restaurant doldrums of Nantucket.

The food here is delicious. The wings weren't too spicy. Our waiter was very friendly. It is pricey but it was worth it.

We visited The Charlie Noble on a chilly & rainy day in Nantucket. What a cozy establishment to come into! The food was awesome and everything was cooked to perfection. We tried many clam chowders while visiting the Cape & Martha's Vineyard as well and the one at The Charlie Noble was our favorite. It's ultra rich and creamy and doesn't have a speck of sand or a "too fishy flavor". The lobster bisque was also top tier! Our entrees were cooked perfectly with such flaky & fresh fish. The cheesecake was unexpected but the waiter told us it was made in house so we tried and WOW we were so glad we did. It was absolutely delicious. Our waiter was helpful & friendly as well as other staff we came in contact with. We would recommend this to anyone visiting Nantucket for the first time like us or if you've never been it's a must try!

Great lunch or dinner spot. Service was great, interior is nice and spacious. I got the crab cake BLT which was very good, and everyone at my table got the caeser salad which they loved (adding the blackened salmon is the way to go). The tots were ok, a little too fried and crispy for me that you could barely taste the potato. Wouldn't get the tots again

Great food, nice cocktails & mocktails, and attentive service. We sat on the back patio, and it was very pleasant.

Came for lunch with my family. This has a pub type atmosphere but we ended up sitting outside which was nice. Had my kids with me and they were definitely kid friendly with high chairs, crayons, kid's menu. Everything you could want when taking your kids to a restaurant. We each had a drink with our meals. My husband had the French Van Glider and I had the pink Lemonade frose. We each loved our drinks. For my entree, I had the lobster quesadilla and wow it was good. I am still thinking about it. It had so much lobster in it and and an amazing sauce on it that gave it such good flavor. My husband got the surf and turf burger that came with lobster on top of it. He wasn't really a big fan of the burger, but enjoyed the lobster on top of it. I tried it and it was more of a charred type burger that tasted like one someone's dad would grill at a BBQ. It wasn't straight up bad but not really our style. My daughter got the kid's meal burger and she didn't really like it, I suspect for the same reason. The fries that came with my husband's burger were really good though. Service was great. I thought it was expensive compared to what I am used to considering it was $120 pre tip. But, I think that may be standard for Nantucket. I would definitely come here again if ever back on the island.

It was our first time at The Charlie Noble on our Nantucket trip!! When looking at previous reviews on Yelp, I knew I had to try the seafood boil with king crab legs and shrimp!! They made it very tasty with cajun (I think) seasoning and plenty of butter!!!! It was a satisfying meal!!! My bf had a lobster roll and it was a giant lobster roll!!! The meat was fresh!! Only one comment from him that it might taste better with some mayonnaise!! There were plenty of seats indoor and outdoor!! Their outdoor area is in the back of the building. We were able to bring our dog, which was a plus

Ridiculously expensive, average food & inefficiently understaffed. The overriding sense is expressed by the singular phrase, "meh".

The Lobster Mac and Cheese was INCREDIBLE! The staff was friendly, portions were pretty good, the prices weren't ridiculous for Nantucket either. We loved looking out at the harbor from the back patio. I'd love to have tried more on the menu :)

Like any place on Nantucket this place is overpriced, and the food is just ok. Wings We're good but Their menu needs some rethinking.

We were only spending one day in Nantucket. We chose this restaurant as our only sit down restaurant meal while we were there. Overall it was great. Ambiance - outdoor seating near the water - 5 stars Menu options - lots of choices , but expect to spend 40 without a drink unless you just get an appetizer or a kids meal.... Food - I had the "crab boil" as stated on the menu. The server was a little confused and didn't know the menu, which was odd. He kept clarifying with an offering with shrimp and something else. The crab boil was king crab and snow crab plus lots of sides. It was excellent. Expensive as to be expected. We also had the fish and chips. It was cooked well and fries were seasoned well. The kids got the cheeseburger and one we received was completely burned and black. We had to send it back. Other people with us had the lobster quesadilla and they said it was good. Service - I felt like this was actually a 3. The guy assigned to us was nice. He was very personable, but serving and taking our order was a super slow process. He had a a hard time seeing his screen and finding the menu items. Again SUPER nice guy though. Bringing water was slow and not enough. We came right before they opened so we were first to be seated. Whenever we would need help, he was always busy with another table. So we would ask someone else passing by. Both ladies we tried to ask help from both wouldn't help us because they weren't our server. I thought it was odd that they wouldn't help each other out especially if it reflects on the team as a whole. Note that the things were asking for were an extra plate and a spoon.... both times we got something like "well, I am not your server, but your server should be by soon".... our server Overall this has to be a 4 because of the service.
