My first time here at the Cheese Course (Doral) and I must say that I throughly enjoyed myself. The bistro sandwich and tomato bisque soup was delicious. We couldn't resist the key lime pie for dessert as well. A wonderful brunch spot and I'm so happy we stopped by. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The decor is more of a wooden farmhouse style, which is very unique and welcoming in this area. Looking forward to returning real soon.

We love this place! Great happy hour from 4-7pm. $3 glasses of wine with $5 appetizers. Highly recommend and would go again 😊 The soup and sandwich mix was really good. The bisque tomato soup was delicious with the roasted turkey sandwich. Service was good too.

Great spot to have lunch and breakfast. Avocado salad is my go-to... it's massive and filling! Thanks to Jesus for always providing great service.

Amazing food and in a beautiful location. You must try the banana bread with cranberries and walnuts on the side. Thank you Maria, you are the best.

First time in this place, I loved the spot, really cute and cozy. I ordered the Serrano and manchego sandwich and I don’t regret it at all!! Without a doubt, it’s an excellent place to enjoy a delicious lunch, breakfast or dinner! I’ll be back soon. Great service too!! Really nice people attending.

I am currently 9 months pregnant. I was craving a salad from the Cheese Course and I drove over 45 minutes to come get one. I had never visited this location before and I couldn’t find parking to pick up my order so I left my car on the side and ran in to grab my order. Did not bring my purse down as I had already paid over the phone. Not only was my order incomplete and small for $17 but the dressing was terribly small. When asking Fabiana for another dressing cup, she told me I had to pay over $1 for it. I uploaded a photo for you all to see how much dressing that cup had. It is very disappointing the frugality with their dressing considering the cost paid for the $17 salad. Fabiana also did not seem to care. Customer service does not match cost for this place. Will not be returning. Very disappointed. I expected better.

The Cheese Course Bistro in Pinecrest was a delicious lunch spot! We went on a Sunday and it was quite busy, so it took a while (around 30 minutes) to get service after we were seated. It didn't bother us, but if you're in a rush, keep that in mind. The staff seemed a bit short-handed, but they were all very friendly and attentive once they reached our table. The best part? The food! Their tables are spaced out nicely, so even with the crowd, it felt comfortable. I tried one of their "perfect pairings" - the mushroom and brie soup with a smoked salmon sandwich. It was fantastic! The soup was incredible, and the sandwich with cream cheese was delicious too. We shared a nutella tartine for dessert, which was basically heaven on french bread. Everything was amazing. For four people, the bill came to around $100, which is a good value for the quality of food. Overall, The Cheese Course Bistro is a great place for a relaxed lunch with delicious food. Just be aware it can get busy, and service times might reflect that.

Guillermo R.

Yelp
Excellent food, good prices and great service. Wife and I visited a few days ago and had their croissant breakfast sandwich plus their nutella french toast, highly recommended.

Yelp
It had been a long time since I had visited the Cheese Course but it never disappoints. We stopped by at the one in Doral for brunch before an early showing of Pricilla. We were the first ones there but they made us feel very welcomed. They were attentive but not overbearing. They let us take our time to order and sit and chat without bothering us. The brunch menu has many options. I had the avocado toast, which was very good. I also had some of the Nutella French toast we ordered for the table...delicious. The bottle of Prosecco was very well priced. Overall, a great dining experience. I would come back more often. The place is really cute too. It's good for small and big parties because of the way it is set up. Stop by. You won't regret it.

Maya K.

Yelp
I came here one afternoon to get some work done before meeting some friends for dinner. The space was open with lots of different table options to choose from. Happy hour starts from 4pm each day and everything on the menu looks so delicious! We ordered the French cheese board with 3 different cheeses and we added prosciutto. The cheese board came with bread, fruit, and spreads. It was a great deal! The staff was very attentive and we had great service. I definitely want to come back again so I can try their lunch or dinner menu!

Mary M.

Yelp
Great place to stop for a sandwich and coffee while shopping. This restaurant is located at CityPlace in downtown Doral where there are many dining options. The promenade has a water fountain and ice scream shops for you to stroll and window shop. There aren't too many shops but saw that there are two nail salons across from each other. Stop for an espresso or a sandwich and soup. Everything we had here was delicious made with fresh bread. If I was here later in the day, I would have enjoyed a glass of wine with some cheese and meats. I'll have to save that for time I come with friends.

Alexandra R.

Yelp
This is such a cute spot to eat lunch at. Great location and staff is very sweet. The food is so good and awesome comfort food. Their Broccoli and Cheese soup is to die for!!

Claudia P.

Yelp
I def. Recommend this place! The soups never disappoint. The Sandwiches are so yummy! And I love that I can order half a sandwich ( which is still a great size) with a small soup or salad for a "light" delicious lunch! The cheese course has a great selection of cheese and meats for the perfect charcuterie board as well!

Lianet V.

Yelp
We happen to be passing by, and looked at the menu. I'm glad we stopped because WOW. Such a cute little spot. Service was amazing. Food was amazing. Would definitely go again. Not priced bad at all either.

Janeiry M.

Yelp
Love this place , everything is soooo good!!! Favorite SPOT!!! 100 % recommended!!! Tomato Soup is Delightful

Tulio G.

Yelp
We always come here and every time we do the food is great but most important the service Today Valentina help us and as always she was amazing!!!

Elisabeth N.

Yelp
Nice little place which I think can get overlooked easily. The food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant serves cheese sandwiches, pizza, salads and wine. We had the tomato Bique which was creamy and delicious and so was the Prosciutto sandwich. The bread was fresh and so were the toppings. Its a liitle overpriced but again compare to the quality of the food it is absolutly worth it. We recommend try the prosciutto pizza one of the best pizza we ever had. Defenitly be back for more. Great place to spend time with friends.

Rossenm R.

Yelp
Acogedor lugar, comida deliciosa, cuidan cada detalle en la presentación de los platos y su servicio es excepcional!! Recomiendo visitarlos, satisfacción garantizada!!

Yelp
Our party of four was attended to promptly and seated outdoors as requested. Our server was courteous and friendly and everyone followed covid protocol and wore their masks. We ordered an appetizer with Brie and fig jam that was amazing! The 1/2 chicken Cesar, tuna melt and Prosciutto sandwiches and soups were good size portions. The food hit the spot perfectly for lunch on a Thursday afternoon. We plan to return to try their Happy Hour soon. :) Follow me on Instagram @PuraVidaCoach

Yelp
The Cheese Course Doral - Honestly,I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed. The presentation was fantastic, the food was so fresh and flavorful and the staff was patient, professional and kind. Perfect for a simple date night or lunch!

Sofiya B.

Yelp
Amazing taste of food and really pretty presentation of it. Definitely my favourite place to eat. And there orange juice is amazing, very fresh.

Roxana N.

Yelp
Let me start by saying how cute the venue is inside! Looks like a coffee shop you would see in a French movie. Cozy and dimly lit, perfect for date night but also a nice mid afternoon lunch. For our yelp event they had a delicious spread of cheeses, charcuterie, gourmet sandwiches, and cookies. I truly enjoyed the combination of soft and hard cheeses paired with sweet jams and fruit. The sandwiches are hearty and VERY tasty. I had the turkey and cheese sandwich that came with a sweet apricot jelly, mayo spread, and microgreens, and man did it hit all my taste buds at once. The bread is also phenomenal, perfectly crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and not too thick. They have a good selection of wine and gourmet coffee you can choose from as well.

Yelp
This place has come a long way since its opening days a couple of years ago and I'm elated to say, it has become my go-to casual eatery with my family so I needed to update my review...! Service -- All of the servers are exceptional, friendly and attentive. Any patron request is complied with and done with a smile. Special kudos go to Jesus and the ladies that do a fabulous job serving the customers and attending the restaurant. The young man that works as a chef is also phenomenal; and every tasty whim request you may have, he can meet, match and over deliver. Unfortunately, I don't remember their names but I do remember how they make my family and I feel when we are there...nothing short of special..! Breakfast -- No need to go to a 5-star location for these stellar breakfasts. FROM their European breakfast with artisanal cream cheese, fruit spread and fruit - TO their eggs and ham with grated cheddar cheese drizzled with extra virgin olive oil OR to the succulent French Toast with cinnamon honey, powdered sugar, orange zest, and fresh berries...any breakfast option you choose is scrumptiously delicious...! Sandwiches/Soups -- I think my glutton self has gone down their list of hearty sandwiches and soups. All of them from cold to hot sandwiches are savory and just mouth watering yumminess. The soups are creamy, especially the broccoli and cheese, and the baguettes are freshly made, abundant and absolutely addicting...you just can't have one piece..! They also have the Perfect Pairing options -- half salad or sandwich and soup which are not for the faint at heart filling. Oh..! and if you get there around happy hour, the glasses of wine are $3...for me, heaven on earth..! I love the turnaround of this place and it's absolutely hands-down worth trying out...enjoy and Bon Appétit...!

Yelp

Janelle M.

Yelp
Tasty but pricy I had cheddar broccoli soup and a chicken sandwich for $16 The portion is pretty small for that price tag.

Kathleen V.

Yelp
Omg I love eating here, they have the best Yukon potato soup and chicken pesto sandwich! I've been here a few times for lunch and it's delish, the service is good and quick and the ambiance is very quiet, gives off cafe vibes- which I like. Definitely recommend this place however, not sure if they recently brought up their prices and it can be a little pricey but I enjoyed the food.

Angelo R.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to preview their catering menu and it was such a fantastic experience. I've actually been to the one in Midtown Miami years ago but this was my first time visiting this Doral location. It's located in City Place Doral so there's plenty of parking in the garage next to Whole Foods. We started with refreshing mimosas while waiting for the food. The first course was the tray of yummy sandwiches featuring the Italian Caprese, Prosciutto, Roast Turkey Breast and Smoked Salmon sandwiches. I think there was also a Serrano Ham sandwich in there but everything was superb. My favorite was the Smoked Salmon. It was just full of flavor. The second course was the Cheese Charcuterie platter with a side of fresh-baked bread. Oh man. The cheeses and meats were heavenly. So fresh and delicious. They also brought out a bowl of French Field Greens Salad. Of course, it was also very good. The last tray that came out was the Dessert Platter with fresh baked cookies and fudge brownies lightly dusted with powdered sugar. OMG. What finale! So scrumptious. Thank you to the wonderful staff for taking the time to explain the menu. They were very helpful and really hustled to make sure that we were happy and our glasses were never empty. Their catering is for sure something to consider for office parties or this coming holidays. No stress prepping, no cleanup and no washing dishes after the party is over...LOL ;) But if you rather have something from the regular menu, the sandwiches and salads are from $10 to $12 each. The boards vary depending on what cheeses and meats you want to be included.

Karla M.

Yelp
OBSESSED My go-to lunch spot! My go-to craving! My go-to in general My recommendations: Perfect pairing option: prosciutto sandwich or applewood bacon with the best mushroom and Brie soup I've ever had or tomato bisque End with a Nutella croissant

Alex G.

Yelp
I love the food and the service, but I wish the outdoor seating was a little more comfortable. It's still a great place to eat and if you love cheese like I do, you'll sure to like it here.

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Chilly night in Miami calls for some soup and a nice glass of wine to wake you feel nice and warm. We got the tomato bisque and the mushroom and Brie soup and they were sooooooo good! Surprisingly good. And did I mention the house wine is $3 a glass?! Cheap AF! Can't wait to go back and try their charcuterie boards.

Angelica G.

Yelp
Nice happy hour specials at City Place... Sit back sip and grab a variation of bites The hummus platter was the o my one that wasn't our favorite... just not a fan of their olives and everything else they put on top of the hummus. Now the salchichón and cheese platter was good

Neil C.

Yelp
While looking for a decent Happy Hour with food and drink specials, we somehow ended up at The Cheese Course in Cityplace Doral (next to Burgerfi). Surprisingly, they do have a Happy Hour here and it's not too shabby. They serve beer and wine for only $3. I ordered a Blue Moon. They also offer a platter with 2 cheeses for $10. We chose two of our favorite cheeses in the L'amuse Gouda and the Boschetto al Tartuffo. We prefer the hard cheeses with sharp flavors, the best in our opinion. The platter also comes with complimentary bread and grapes as well as some honey and fig on the side for dipping. It's a good deal for $10. Outside of HH, we ordered the Grilled Chicken Breast Sandwich (full) and the Tuna Melt Sandwich w/Tomato Bisque. Loved the Tomato Bisque and I forgot how good these sandwiches were as it's been a while since I've been to a Cheese Course. Can't wait to come back.

Eric J.

Yelp
So I thought I would try again. Bad choice. Asked and paid for extra tomatoes that were not on there. Then the tuna itself was bad. Complete sour taste. Threw out most of the $18 sandwich. Avoid this place and go anywhere else.

Evan G.

Yelp
The Cheese Course at CityPlace in Doral is a great place to go for all things quality food and drinks. I really like their soups, salads, and sandwiches that they have here that are fresh and well prepared. The staff here is very efficient and helpful at getting everything together. I have enjoyed all of the orders that I have made here

Valeria B.

Yelp
The Cheese Course has, of course, delicious cheeses. I would recommend every time you visit to have a create your own charcuterie plate and sample their many different cheeses. So far, in my journey, they're all great. One of things that will probably surprise you is their fig jam. It's probably the most delicious jam/marmalade I have ever tried. The only drawback, for me, at this location, is the service. Nothing bad... but our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable and seem hesitant tl even talk!

James F.

Yelp
Well the place is pretty and clean , but we ordered a Cesar salad and were told they had no romaine, that's weird !!!! Ended up ordering soup , sandwich and decided to try their margarita pizza ..... The worst pizza , pre fab cardboard with tasteless sauce and a cheese that was horrible . Never again ...

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
This place currently hosts one of two of my favorite sandwiches in the world and I love the cheese plates/jellies. While the location is much larger than the Weston one which is a good thing- the service here stinks. Most times I found myself waiting for side conversations to finish before they would even acknowledge me and take my order. It's slow and impersonal. They recently changed it from counter service to table service and it may have slightly improved which is why I didn't knock off too many stars. Quite frankly, the sandwich makes up for their service and it's the only thing that keeps me coming back. Lately I have just been Uber-eats-ing it and it's worked out better. I always order #9 (Roast Turkey Breast) with smoked cheddar, fruit chutney and mayo. If you like sweet and savory, this is the way to go!

Crystal P.

Yelp
Came for a Valentines Dinner and I regret it. Greeted with nasty faces but we decided to sit down anyway. Everything was going well until we finished our appetizer. The short blonde waitress would make eye contact with us but still ignore our calls for A WHOLE HOUR. Her along with the other 10 waitresses were just sitting at other tables on their laptops laughing and talking. I guess they decided to treat it as their break since we were the only people there. When another family came in, she was quick to help and was on top of them constantly, which is funny because they were sat right next to us. Homophobia maybe??? Who knows. Seriously the worst service I've ever received.

Katherine M.

Yelp
I truly like the concept of this spot. I felt like I was in Spain, because of the cheese options and prosciutto, jellies, and people watching. I came on a Saturday afternoon and although it was fairly empty, the service was sooooo slow. There was about four people working, yet it took them about 20 minutes to bring the beer to my table. My table was waiting on me to "cheer" so this was a little irritating. I LOVED the two different cheeses we got and the prosciutto with the olives platter. It was delicious, the right amount and the ingredients were fresh. It was nice to see that they carry "La Rubia"' which is one of my favorites. I'm giving them three stars because of the service. We were inside for a good 3 hours, drinking and eating not ONCE did they ask if we were okay or if we needed anything at all. If we wanted something, I had to get up and get it. The tapas are good and fresh, but they could've been a little more attentive.

Katherine S.

Yelp
Not the place you are looking for if you want a quick lunch or great service. The food was alright, but is a bit overpriced for what you are getting. I ordered the combo of Potato Soup and a Caprese Sandwich . The soup tasted good but the sandwich was nothing special. They did mix up the order at first, and also served cold soup to a friend I was dining with. The waitress seemed like she was either new or just really didn't have the motivation to provide great service. Even the people seated behind us complained about how slow the service was. If you have two hours to kill, then eat here.

Megan G.

Yelp
Great lunch spot! I always go for the half sandwich and soup combo. The Italian sandwich has really good mozzarella cheese and the tomato bisque soup is my favorite. I've tried their breakfast but i wasnt the biggest fan. Very small portions and just a few items. Parking is free for 2 hours in the garage Monday thur Friday during lunch time. They only have one spot in front of the restuarant for free street parking. Happy hour is everyday 5pm-9pm

Oscar P.

Yelp
As I work in the area, this is a conveniently located spot within walking distance. On a fresh, "windy" day like we've had as of late, it makes for a nice walk to Doral City Place, which I recommend versus driving since the limited space tends to be occupied. Moving to the actual food experience, I found the southwest sandwich to be rather bland and small (given the $11 price); however, the tomato bisque was quite good. I'd like to give The Cheese Course another try at night time, perhaps for a wine/cheese pairing or chocolate fondue, but the lunch was average. Service was also friendly, but slow.

Joseph H.

Yelp
Decided to try this place out after walking past it a couple of times. The menu was a bit confusing, we could have used a better explanation of how things work but we ended up being just fine. I ordered the Mac & cheese (it was good!), and the cheese platter, which in my opinion brought a lot of food. My fiancé got the salad, I tried it and it was really good. The espresso was also good. I think the price for the food here is reasonable. We didn't find it to be expensive with the amount of food that you get. I think it's worth trying.

Luis C.

Yelp
My go to breakfast spot every time I'm home in Miami. City Place is a cool spot to hang out and enjoy a good meal

Stephanie B.

Yelp
I have gone in the past to this location and had horrible service but we were out drinking and decided to give it another try. They do have a late happy hour in beer and wine but we just had water and I love the jugs they come in. We ordered several apps and they were amazing the fig is the best spread I had in a long time. The prosciutto was fresh and so good I could have a double order. The service was actually really good and I will be going back.

Violet B.

Yelp
I am a huge cheese lover and have always wanted to start trying to pair different types of cheese with prosciutto slices, fruit, bread and jams and do a full board but never actually put forth the effort to do so. But with The Cheese Course, they can do that for you. They have four selections of pairing choices that includes seedless red grapes, soft bread, a jam, some honey, prosciutto and two types of cheese. Since I did not know which of the cheese from their offerings that I would like, I asked the young man to pick for me instead. He said he went with one of their most popular selections, which was, the First Lady cheese tray that consisted of soft white bread, fromager d'affinois, prima donna, honey, seedless red grapes and an add-on of prosciutto. The Cheese Course doesn't only offer the cheese pairings but also a variety of breakfast and lunch options. The inside decor is so fresh, warm, inviting and even a bit romantic. Unfortunately, I wasn't accompanied by my husband but did have the pleasure of stopping in with my little one to grab my order to go as we were out running errands in the area. I would definitely love to visit again but under less hurried circumstances and when I can actually dine-in with my husband and enjoy more of their offerings. This is an adult atmosphere. I am definitely returning with my husband next time.

Daniel L.

Yelp
Best soups in Doral! The Mushroom Brie soup is extraordinary and the cheese boards are very tasty. If you're looking for a place to have a light meal and relax, this is the spot for you. Dania was a very helpful server and gave us insightful tips on the menu. I would definitely recommend this place

Katy A.

Yelp
Found this place while getting coffee at Juan Valdez (delicious Colombian coffee.) The place was empty because it was early in the afternoon. It was very clean, great music and prosciutto sandwich was delicious. You can share if you are not that hungry. Few tips: If you dinning in, just sit down and the waiter will come to you. If you are ordering to go, go to the register Hope you enjoy!

H K.

Yelp
I always all the time go to City Place sit and relax at the Cheese Course. Love the variety of the cold and hot drinks as well as sandwiches that the grilled chicken breast and the southwest chicken are my choice with the soups are super delicious combinations. Waitresses are the best, friendly and quick with my requests. Manager lady Maria is running the store real well and treats every table like her family. Faby was perfect with her effort to serve to my table with 4 of us. Love this place and I go there continuously.

James L.

Yelp
Really nice sandwiches, salads and soups here at the Cheese Course in Doral. Prices are a bit above average, especially for lunch, but the quality is great. Half sandwich/salad type options can range from $12-18. The Greek salad is a great option that I enjoyed yesterday; fresh greens, tomatoes, olives, feta and a nice Greek dressing came together well. For my sandwich I went with the Prosciutto which was served on a delicious whole wheat baguette with a rich and tasty pesto spread. They also serve a decent selection of beer and wine here and offer evening specials such as; happy hour, a free drink with a food purchase nights and live music on weekends.

Adele R.

Yelp
I ordered from here for the first time today and it was fantastic. I ordered an apple wood bacon sandwich on the French bread. Soooo good. First, the French bread was perfect, not too soft and not too hard, which I must admit I was weary it would be like a brick, so I am very thankful. Then, they filled it with spinach, goat Gouda (which is one of my favorites), tomatoes, avocados, and thin slices of bacon, all together tossed in rosemary aioli and then toasted. Honestly, it was very very very tasty. Especially with the bag of jalapeño chips. Sadly, I had to order and go, but I do look forward to visiting and sitting down because I am a huge fan of cheese and I definitely have got to try their cheese boards

Veronica A.

Yelp
Extremely satisfied with the food and service at this place! Came here with my boyfriend for a date dinner and both enjoyed the service of our server, she recommended the cheese fondue with veggies, fruits and bread which was delicious. Tip: order their sangria, it's got a very good taste and it's not strong! Additionally, we tried the brownie with mash mellow, although I liked it, I would suggest using less chocolate syrup when serving it. I leave a picture here of our dessert

Jose C.

Yelp
The food is really good. I love their sandwiches. My favorite is the chicken salad. They also have an amazing olive tapenade and the cornichons are fire. The reason the score isn't higher is because the service is not great at this location. I love going to the one in Pinecrest, but have found myself avoiding the Doral location because the people that work the counter are downright unfriendly. I feel like I'm disturbing them from the moment I walk in. There are no smiles, no welcomes, just a kind of what do you want attitude. This is a 180 from the reception I've always gotten at the other locations I've visited. Been here a few times over more than a year and it's always the same thing. I speak fluent Spanish so I know there's not a language barrier. Seems like more of an issue of nationality to me based on the way I've seen others treated here.

Angeles R.

Yelp
Every item on the menu is freshly made and very tasty. I enjoy the freshly squeezed orange juice and the smoked salmon sandwich! The cafe is well kept clean and the seating outside is situated perfectly to people watch!

Felix J.

Yelp
What a concept! Food is delicious and fresh. The staff is the friendliest in the area. David, the manager walked us through the entire menu and allowed a sample of their house Cabernet which was a spectacular value. What a selection of cheeses! I recommend this place blind and will become a regular for sure.

Viaje Q.

Yelp
Careful with this place. You have to tip even if you order to go otherwise they treat you like shit. I was there Sunday 24 night. 10 pm. The worst treatment I have ever received from a cashier in any restaurant. Besides that very bad chicken salad sandwich. Very different to some other cheese course locations where it has been excellent, very poor preparation, The girl explained the bad service because of the tip situation.

Brenda R.

Yelp
Excellent food, service, ambiance. Our waitress was Nicole and she suggested all the food we ate, it was our first time there, and we loved it. The service was fast, always making sure we have everything we need. We are really pleased with this restaurant. Definitely will come back.
