⭐️⭐️ (2/5) — Over-Hyped, Over-Priced, and Disappointing Food (But Amazing Service) The Cheesecake Factory is definitely over-hyped and over-priced for what you actually get. The only saving grace of our visit was the service — absolutely phenomenal. Every staff member was helpful, kind, and genuinely attentive. They truly did their part to make the experience pleasant. Unfortunately, the food did not match the service at all. We ordered a ribeye steak and were extremely disappointed. It had no flavor, was just a thin slice of meat, and didn’t resemble the quality you’d expect for the price. The mashed potatoes and green beans were okay, nothing memorable. The calamari was also just okay. The only thing I really enjoyed was the mac and cheese. Overall, the restaurant feels over-hyped and over-priced for the quality of food served. Amazing staff, but the dishes definitely fell short. Hoping it was just an off night because the service deserves far better food to match it.

We went last night as a group of six and waited an hour and a half for our food. When it finally arrived, it was extremely disappointing and stone cold. It was clearly sat on a hot plate for some time. I ordered steak with mushrooms, which was so cold that I had to send it back. When it was returned, it had clearly just been put under the grill and came back burnt instead. At that point, I decided not to eat at all. The manager reviewed my meal and agreed it was unacceptable and refunded it, as it was completely inedible. The prices are very expensive for the quality of food. The only good thing to note was our amazing server who had to take all of these complaints from 6 of us about the awful food and length of time it took to arrive. I will not be returning.

Cher’s Cake Factory is an amazing spot for dessert lovers! The cakes are super fresh, soft, and full of flavor. The place looks beautiful, with a nice entrance that’s built over the water and connected by lovely bridges — it really gives a special atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they have a great variety of cakes and pastries that taste homemade with love. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who enjoys sweet treats! 🍰

We ate here for lunch — the food is always just okay. I ordered the fish tacos 🌮 and calamari as an appetizer; nothing special. But I come here strictly for the cheesecake, and it never disappoints! If you happen to like the food, consider that a bonus.

We stopped to get cake takeout appetizers at the cheesecake factory and while we were waiting, had a nice drink at the bar and celebration of birthday time. The atmosphere was great and it wasn’t too loud.

We visited the Rancho Mirage location today (09/18/25) and were excited to see the Southern Fried Chicken (bowl) and the Chicken Biscuits and gravy (bites) items on the menu. Being a Southern girl myself, this is highly exciting. However this visit was far from exciting.... It's seems like managers and servers are confused about the menu, the gravy subject in particular. Perhaps training would help to make the customers dining experience more joyful. To give you history,  we use to come to this location after it's grand opening and went there for years. It started declining about 8 years ago, so we stopped coming about 5 years ago. 3 months ago we decided to try it again, hoping for new improvements and changes under new management. The experience was amazing. So we came back again today. What a weird experience, that has now set us on a path to stay away again. We had Luke as our young inexperienced waiter. It was fine until he saw us taking photos and having a conversation. He interrupted us to ask what we were doing. So I told him we were trying to understand the gravy situation. Out of three representatives from the restaurant, they each came to our table giving us a different description of the gravy. Luke said brown gravy,  one male manage said mushroom gravy,  the third one,  Lindsay another manager said it was a certain kind of odd sauce.  I don't remember what she called it. Now I don't know who made the gravy/sauce selection,  but we were also told that is the ONLY gravy they have. They do not have white country gravy. So then what gravy do you use for biscuits and gravy?? The photos look white. Why would you use mushroom gravy for that? The Southern Fried Chicken Bowl was awful according to my husband. He eats anything,  well almost anything. He usually licks the plate clean. Not on this day. He ate less than half. Lindsay was told this and she saw it. It was not taken off the bill. I want to further add that the menu for both these items DOES NOT LIST THE GRAVY/ SAUCE INFORMATION. The menu should reflect the kind of gravy or sauce used. Mushroom gravy is used for Salisbury steak so when he said that,  I was shocked. This is chicken. I explained to Lindsay that Luke did not appear experienced in answering any questions that we had and then got upset with me for asking questions that he could not answer. He interrupted my conversation with my husband and then got upset because he was feeling 'overwhelmed'. He asked me why I was being stand-offish??? Not sure that was the correct question, maybe inquisitive?? There is nothing wrong with a customer asking about ingredients or menu options. Not sure this is the job for him. I discussed this with Lindsay too. Our visits there and the menu has really gone downhill. The chicken wings were the size of a very small bird,  like kid sized wings and the ranch dip was a tiny container fit for three wings only. Or celery sticks were way longer than the chicken wings. We won't be returning. I wanted to share so you could hear our views on your restaurant. Thank you. Old review.... Well I have to say I'm so very impressed. My husband and I have not been here for at least 3 years due to poor food, however my husband convinced me to try it again. To our surprise the food was fresh, tasty, and amazing. The chicken was not dry. We had the buffalo wings, Chinese chicken salad, and chicken salad sandwich. I was so impressed that we called Nick over to talk to the manager on duty. It all comes down to a few things: Great management, great chef, delicious food, and a nice waiter. Thanks to the new San Diego lady in charge!!! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and we had the worst day possible. So nice to add this restaurant to our list of rare places to eat.

Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Staff is friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is pleasant. I had the Parmesan and herb crusted chicken. Drink is the tropical lemonade.

Our server Alex was a star! He was full of wonderful facts about the comprehensive training the Cheesecake Company provides, how all food, including sauces, are made in-house, and how the servers memorize the entire menu. Alex made sure my dietary restrictions were considered when putting in my order. The food itself was excellent and freshly prepared. I loved that their hot teas were Numi brand, a company with sustainable and fair trade practices. The only suggestion I would make is to lower the music level so conversation is easier and people with hearing aids don’t have to adjust their levels. My family will be returning often. Thank you to the excellent hosts, servers, and chefs.

Love the ambience at the Cheesecake Factory! It really has something for everyone! We sat on a nice bench in the waiting area and watched several happy groups meet up for dinner on Saturday night. Families, couples, students and co-workers all pleased at a night out! This visit I joined the Cheesecake Factory Rewards Club and was able to make a reservation. This cut our wait time down to about ten minutes! We were shown to our booth table by friendly staff and Alex, our waiter appeared immediately with menus and bread and butter! I studied the online menu while we waited and noticed lots of new tasting items that look great for a casual meal! We perused the menu briefly while I sipped some very decent Sauvignon Blanc. We already knew that we were ordering our favorites, Chicken Piccata for my husband and Shrimp with Garlic for me! I love the odd Neo-Egyptian decor with huge lotus pillars and leaves. The lights and booths make for a fun dining experience! We enjoyed our tasty selections and the relaxed and celebratory atmosphere! The piece de resistance was (of course) cheesecake and this time we selected the Dulce de Leche cake with caramel. Best yet and I can't wait to continue my journey through all the flavors!

Bar area for happy hour. A big disappointment overall. No happy hour menús on table. Looked up menu online. No silverware or plates after food served. Asked manager and these were provided shortly there after. Food: Sliders and potstickers were ok, passable. Brussel sprouts was a pile of dry bitter leaves. No indication of sweetness or sauce as described on menu. Not one Brussel sprout found in the pile. We did get a replacement that was barely better. Well, desserts have to be good, right? Wrong. Ordered Apple crisp. Poor presentation. A pile of diced apples in an overly sweet sugary sauce with bits of crispy something. A separate metal cup nestled a tiny scoop of ice cream. I can't think of anyone who would just eat the apple concoction without te ice cream. More ice cream was definitely needed or- improve the apple crisp. So, this meal cost over $48. No drinks and dessert was not happy-hour priced. I've been going to TCF for years and have never been disappointed. Until today. **Interesting comment from manager/auto-reply to reviewer complaints. People are giving you a chance to make it right the first time. That is up to you.

First, Kellie was our server and she was the best! So fun and so much energy. I hope we get to sit in her area next time we go. I had the Four Cheese Pasta which was good but very sweet for me. Dave loved his Fish and Chips. We both enjoyed our dinners for second meals the next day. The food star was the cheesecake of course. We get the mango key lime every time and we have never regretted it. We went on a Saturday night to celebrate the anniversary of the day we met. We go every year. We love it. It was packed but I understand they will take reservations if you plan ahead. We had a very short wait time. Very nice inside but super dark which made it hard to get good photos. Not complaining m, just saying.

I got the grilled steak medallions and let me just say, though the portion looks like it is kind of small it is super filling. I would have to say probably one of my favorite things on the menu. It has so much flavor and it just the perfect amount. We sat at the bar so the service was great there and since it was lunchtime, it was not too busy. My Husband said the chicken was amazing but was definitely a big portion so he did not finish it all.

Another wonderful experience at TCF. Daniel, our server, was exceptional. I must credit the TCF management and trainers because we really do enjoy and look forward to coming here, specifically for the wonderful service, attitudes and attentiveness. Of course we had to have our usual tuna and shrimp ceviche. Unlike the Brea location, this one is consistently good. Kudos to the chefs here! My wife tried the chicken piccatta, one of her favs and usual go-to's whenever it's on the menu, and I tried the new carnitas bowl. My son got the spaghetti and meatballs and my other boys got their usual cheese flatbread pizzas. The piccatta was oh so good. While not the best we've had, it really ranked up there. The carnitas bowl was a feast for the eyes, but it wasn't my favorite and Daniel could see it on my face. He quickly took action and worked with his manager to make it right and I substituted the chicken piccatta, dinner size mind you, for the carnitas. The spaghetti and meatballs were also very good. Not just TCF good, but Italian restaurant good. My son said that this will be his regular dish. Our brunch could not be complete without the requesite cheesecake, so we opted for the vanilla bean. OMG! We should have ordered a whole pie! After a long day at Universal Studios Hollywood and a long drive home to RM the day before, this late brunch was exactly what we needed (along with a few cocktails;) ). Daniel was superb and our dining experience was on par with our past experiences. Another stellar meal at TCF.

We had gift cards for both Outback Steakhouse and The Cheesecake Factory. Went to Outback last week, had a surprisingly good experience. Today we decided to give The Cheesecake Factory a shot. Can't recall the last time I ate at any Cheesecake Factory. Probably been 8 to 10 years. The Cheesecake Factory at The River is a tad dated. The building has to be 15 years old. When we arrived for lunch today, they were very busy. Fortunately, within 5 to 7 minutes they were able to seat us at a nice booth. The hostess was polite as was our waitress. Clearly the staff are all hardworking good people. The staff gets 5 stars and the facility gets 4. We wanted cocktails. One thing they do here which I dislike is omitting prices on alcoholic beverages. This is not right. I don't care what they charge but at least be upfront. Several of the old school chains do this. SKINNY MARGARITA $14. Our Classic Margarita with Silver Tequila, Triple Sec and Fresh Lime Too sweet, desperately needed more Tequila and less triple sec. Outback makes a better drink for $9. And Outback adds tons of extra Tequila for $2.50 more. No need to order this libation again. SPICY TUNA $18.95 Ahi Tuna on Crispy Sushi Rice with Ginger and Green Onion The pieces of tuna were tiny. For $18.95 they could have been a tad more generous with the tuna. I can go to Los Primos, 2 minutes away from here, and get 10 times as much tuna for about $4. less. This dish was nothing special. I was about to order something else; however, realized we would be wasting our money. I read the news, enjoy following politics. Lots of chatter about food precises, specifically restaurants today. The best way for all of us to conquer inflation is to not put up with mediocrity at high prices. I will return to The Outback Steakhouse. Probably won't be back here.

I hadn't been to a Cheesecake factory in forever. Still have a big menu and big portions, which isn't my thing. I ended up getting the cajun salmon, still have the buttery sauce below it. I got asparagus and brocolli with it to help make it pseudo healthy. The salmon was dry which was a slight bummer, but I blame that on, I shoulda known better than order fish at cheesecake factory, shrimp yes, but fish hmm. They still have the awesome warm bread, love the pumpernickel which I almost get nowhere else. Kid didn't love his spicy pasta either. Would still come back every now and again, but with the right expectations.

We were in town for vacation and wanted to go somewhere that had variety for everyone. Our food was good and our server Kellie had the best customer service. Honestly some of the best I've had in a while. The restaurant was clean and we were seated promptly. Will be back when in town again.

I lovvveee this Cheesecake Factory everytime I come down the hill it's a fassure I go dine in the place is always clean the food is always good and fresh the waiters are friendly and their is sooo much food to choose from which be hard cause everything is good and the scenery is beautiful

We have lived in this valley since 2011 and we finally decided to enjoy a meal here. The wait time for a table was minimal after our arrival. I did feel a little confined by the "cubicle" type booth where we were seated. There was a large party next to us with two small boys scurrying about. A little zany for me, as the parents didn't have a care in the world. At one point, allowing the boys to walk all over the cushions where people sit. (Deplorable) If one were to fall? We decided on two Cuban sandwiches, a Chicken Parmesan sandwich and an OG Cheeseburger. All of them came with fries. The food was plentiful and delicious, take home boxes were required. The only "scratch my head" moment was realizing that they charged $6.50 for lemonades and $4.95 for a Sprite. We did not ask for refills. Jesus A was our server and he was engaging, attentive and invested. You could tell that he was having a good time serving the patrons. He even offered to bag our remnants for us. If we return, a different area in the restaurant would be better.

By far, the SLOWEST service & most BIZARRE, WORST experience I've ever had. It took over 20 mins to place our order after being seated, 35 mins to receive any food, and another 30 mins to pack leftovers and pay. No exaggeration... Eventually, we had to get up and find someone since no one came. In total, we sat for 2.5 HOURS! Such a waste of time I've never seen a restaurant take our food to pack themselves in the back, especially since everything was extremely slow already. This just added an extra 2 trips for them. It'd be totally fine to just get the boxes ourselves! The restaurant was pretty empty. Many staff members were idling around and purposefully avoiding eye contact. No one other than our main server even bothered to approach us. We felt so unwelcomed... When looking around, barely anyone had received their food. It really pains me to leave such a review, but it'd pain me more to let others go through this.

My group was seated very quickly and service was fast and friendly. It's a pretty standard cheesecake factory. I feel like if you've been to one you've been to them all. I enjoyed my pasta and the lunch portion was very splittable between my friend and I.

Always a good meal at The Cheesecake Factory. A large menu with delicious food, and good service.

Dropped in for late lunch and had a good experience. We sat in bar area. Around us was clean, roomy, and we felt welcome. The restaurant was busy for midafternoon but it is in a mall area that had good business. The appetizer was a most delicious quesadilla. For the main course, a parm-crusted chicken with mashed potatoes was a treat and very filling. Green beans felt a little flat as they were overheated and not snappy. The location is good within an outdoor mall and near a main thoroughfare.

Great food! Definitely will return. The chicken Madera is the best! The service is excellent. Also, must get a slice of Cheesecake. Yummm

Went to the bar for happy hour and started with a local beer and a Long Island iced tea. Bartender was friendly and his service was quick. Had the happy hour nachos which was a very large serving. Taste wise it was just ok. Fyi -it doesn't have any meat on it. The Thai chili shrimp was also just ok. The breading on it was too much and it would have been better with a Thai chili sauce because I wasn't tasting any. The chicken pot stickers were great. I would definitely have those again! The sauce was so good that I used it on the Thai chili shrimp which helped to make those better.

The server was nice. The food, especially steaks was meh~~~. It was tough like a tire. My jaw is still hurt.

The menu and service are huge! If you can't find more than three things you'd try on the menu for oneself then you'll be on quite an adventure.

Christopher was our waiter tonight. He did an amazing job serving us. We ordered the fried zucchini and asparagus appetizers to begin with. We were amazed at the portion of asparagus that we got. It also came with the most wonderful lemon ricotta dipping sauce! My daughter & I shared the Miso salmon. That's one of my all-time favorites here at The Cheesecake Factory. And our cousin, Darrel had the spicy Asian noodles that he really liked. Of course they served their famous squaw bread that I can't resist. Overall, our meal was great and Christopher brought it all together as a terrific server. Thank you, Cheesecake Factory!

My husband and I had a great time eating in the bar section. Our bar tender/serves were excellent. I loved the little secluded section we ate at.

We wanted to take a friend out for his birthday dinner and he said he'd like to go to Cheesecake Factory. We made a reservation for 6PM and we were informed they would hold the reservation for 10 mins. Finding parking took us much longer than expected at this location so we arrived at the host desk about 6:12 PM. The host informed us our reservation had been canceled and that our wait would be 30 or more minutes. She was adamant that she would not be able to honor our reservation despite the problems we had finding parking and the long walk from the parking lot into the restaurant. Wish we could have been seated since we were looking forward to a nice dinner with the birthday boy. We ended up going to another nice restaurant, Foxy's, nearby and had a wonderful meal and great celebration. Not sure I would hurry back to this Cheesecake Factory. Way too impersonal and corporate experience. Host was not gracious and the parking plus the long walk from the parking lot make this location unattractive.

The pasta was not well cooked. As a paying customer, I am sure you would want to like the dish you are paying for. The restaurants actions was deceptive when they brought back the same dish and pretended it was new. I hope the employees that participated in this action, will have a better day.

Hmmmmm... Cheesecake Factory .... How long has this chain been around ? One of my long time favorites is STILL on the menu .... Lettuce Wraps ( with Chicken ) .. it even tastes the same ... there are some winners on this menu ... and considering how the price of just 1 ( one ) entree has gone up outrageously especially lately ... Cheesecake Factory is now consider the "cheap option".

I have been to many Cheesecake Factory restaurants over the years and have never been disappointed. They are very popular, so expect to wait 15 to 30 minutes. The hostess is good about giving updates on your wait time and there is ample seating in the lobby for your comfort. I always eye the desserts in the display case while I am waiting. This helps narrow down my choices and I can "see" if there is anything new or different to try. The hard part is choosing your meal, the menu is literally a book! I try to have a light meal so I can save room for pie. It's not easy because they serve generous portions! Start with a appetizer, soup or salad or go straight to the sandwiches, burgers or entree. This restaurant is a frequent choice when meeting family or friends. They decor and lighting is beautiful and the booths are very comfortable. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy your meal and don't forget to tell 'em that Rosemary sent ya!

Just got a slice of chocolate cake for $12.95 to go. It was literally a 1/2 inch thick sliver. I wish I would have seen it before i left the restaurant. It was about 1/4 of the size that's shown on their website.

This place is usually good, but lately it has been complete trash. 3rd time this week they totally destroyed my door dash orders from forgetting items, to giving us things we did not order and now tonight I get a RAW steak that's completely cold in the middle. I'm writing this as I've been on hold for 13 minutes while they transferred me to the bakery. Customer service is horrible.

This review would've been a 5 star definitely! The food & service were excellent l, they've changed the menu a bit & it's great! Ambience was relaxed! In the pictures posted myself & hubby ordered a small Caesar salad to share & Shrimp scampi with Shrimp bistro. All food items were amazing!! However we ordered the famous strawberry shortcake to go which is usually sold out, once we got it home to try it the biscuits that we were told are sweet & fluffy were like rock hard biscuits with no flavor. Disappointing & had to throw out the biscuits & just eat the ice cream with strawberries & whip provided. Look forward to trying this again to give a better review, especially since this item is usually always sold out. TIL next time.

Beautiful decor exudes Moroccan and Mediterranean flare. Probably the largest number of menu choices of any restaurant in America. It gets a bit overwhelming making choices, as there were no less than 3 different menus plus their regular menu. Our server was excellent. Friendly and very knowledgeable. Our party of 6 sent two of the dishes back as they were not what we expected. The Asian Chicken salad was almost devoid of chicken and mostly just chopped lettuce. It was replaced by the choice of a vegetarian Cobb salad that was excellent with a plethora of ingredients artfully arranged. Fish and Chips were not what I remembered from previous visits. They were small and chunky, but tasty and not heavily breaded. I elected to pass on the fries and opted for grilled asparagus instead. It was excellent, but the spears needed the tough chewy stalk trimmed better. Nicely grill marked and just the right amount of seasoning. Another had salmon and said it was cooked perfectly and a generous portion. It's a tossup between 4 and 3 stars. 5 stars for decor and ambiance, 4 plus stars for service, and 3 stars for food. With probably nearly 200 choices on the menus, it is surprising the food is as good as it is. Parking is plentiful, but a bit of a walk from the restaurant. There are a host of different eateries in this center, as well as a multiplex movie theater, so there is lots of competition for the parking places. While we had a few miscues with our food, the attentive service and willingness to make it right, stood out and is to be complimented. The pecan caramel chocolate cheesecake was a delicious and to a nice evening.

This was best place I had ever eaten Reygun and Christian were the best at there job I will definitely be coming back in the future For starters the food was outstanding it took a good 30 mins to prepare but man oh man was it worth it unlike most restaurants chesse cake factory makes your order when you place it so if you go with alot of friends or family it's gonna be a longer wait but it's worth it almost any time my glass got empty they would fill it up again not to mention the endless bread and butter. As a said before the service was AMAZING they make you feel as if you are the center of attention it's really nice experience because they will give you extra napkins, coasters, silverware, or most items that you need I personally liked how each server would triple check just to make sure they didn't screw our order up.

Stop saying you are a pet friendly place. When I arrived to was told no way they excepted pets and was rude about it, berthed gad other people to seat. We would have put dog back into the car and enjoyed a dinner.

Horrible Service. Waited over an hours and a half for an order that was " never entered in to the system ". WTH!!! Don't waste your time here till they get their act together. Disrespectful and embarrassing. Customer service is truly over. ..

Could not stress this enough how the disappointment of today at cheesecake factory I went to go pick up my food late around 7:30 PM and I waited there for 20 minutes for somebody to help me all the waitress kept passing by and nobody stopped to ask if I was there to pick up food or if I was gonna order or anything in that regard very disappointed super bad service until I went to someone and ask if anybody was working the station I think cheesecake has to put more effort, not ordering food from here ever again..

Everything was amazing!! From being seated to walking out. Fast friendly service. Fantastic food. We weren't rushed. Drinks kept filled. A little loud at times, Plenty of parking.

We ordered online and stopped to get out food to go. I ordered the orange chicken and it was the worst orange chicken I probably ever had, the sauce was super sweet and the chicken seemed extra fried. It came with white rice and it was undercooked. My daughter ordered Mac and cheese balls and they were really dried and barely came with any sauce. My twins got fettuccine Alfredo and those also had very little sauce. They gave us complimentary bread but didn't even include butter! The only plate that was decent was my husbands which was the chicken costalleta. The place had a nice view overlooking water but didn't make up for the terrible food. Worst $100 spent on food!

Our waiter this evening was on point. Professional, very tactful in keeping our drinks filled and table clean. The manager was on point as well. What a great team for such a busy location! Impressive and totally appreciated the food was visually attractive and tasted excellent. If have not tried the zucchini app seriously you are missing out!

ABSOLUTELY worst experience at a restaurant and let alone, a cheese cake factory! Service was terrible..... absolutely terrible. We sat down around 8pm on Friday 2/7/25. We ordered the eggroll sampler, orange chicken, Cajun jambalaya, and the Louisiana chicken pasta. Jambalaya pasta was bland and dry. It literally looked like they tossed it in oil; and it tasted like water with a side of noodles and shrimp. Our server agreed and stated that's how it normally comes out and suggested to switch it out to something else so I settled for chicken tortilla soup. The Louisiana chicken pasta was also watered down and needed more sauce so we requested more sauce. 45 minutes later. At this point, we had to ask for the extra sauce 3 times. The chicken tortilla soup came out with the "extra sauce" , the extra sauce ended up being a side of the chicken tortilla soup poured into a smaller container . The busser who brought it out acknowledged it was just extra soup and apologized so we just asked him for our server to get the check. The server comes and at first tries to say that the sauce was the correct sauce, however, it tasted exactly like the chicken tortilla soup and was a COMPLETELY different color and texture from the sauce of the Louisiana Chicken Pasta. Terrible service, terrible food, does not compare to other Cheesecake Factory restaurants. Save your time and go to McDonald's for quicker service, more flavor, and satisfaction. Safe to say I won't be back unless I'm out of water and dehydrated.

Fine lunch. Decent size portion of salmon with good mash and steamed broccoli. They have a decent lunch specials menu. Service was fine. It's such a huge place. Vibe is quite sterile and feels a bit like Vegas Disneyland. I'm never blown away by any of the food at the Cheesecake Factory at any of the locations, except I love the actual cheesecake. This location seems fairly well managed and is clean and serene. Better experience than I've had at other locations.

Thank you to the General Manager, Ally, and her staff for a wonderful lunch experience today. And a very special thank you to Kellielynn, our server! There were 14 of us. Kellielynn was very friendly, poised and unruffled handling a group as large as ours, each with a different order. The food was plentiful and delicious. Many, many compliments to all of the staff at Cheesecake Factory who made our special get together a wonderful day!

I passed by the Cheesecake Factory in The River at Rancho Mirage while enroute to Palm Springs, and was enthralled by the beautiful location on the water. To be fair, the entire shopping plaza where it is located was modern and trendy, done up well with holiday decorations. The restaurant is open and airy, with high vaulted ceilings, and played wonderful and uplifting music throughout my visit. The staff were incredibly kind and engaging as well. Drinks and the complimentary bread/butter were served quickly. I went with the chicken parmesan sandwich, which is always a hearty portion good enough for 2 meals. It was delicious, but a bit oily/greasy, as the bread was oversaturated and dripped when taking a bite. The fries were standard average fries you find at any location. Prices seemed a tad bit higher for all menu items compared to other locations of the chain that I've been to in the past year. Overall, a nice dinner experience at the Rancho Mirage Cheesecake Factory.

Empty at lunch time during season should tell you something. We haven't been in a few years and decided to give it another try. Prices were increased A LOT. $16 for a cocktail is very high too. $28 shrimp ceasar salad is a crazy price when it's mostly lettuce and 4 tiny grilled shrimp, it's a $20 salad at most. Now looking at the recent reviews of this restaurant I shouldn't be surprised by what it was. This used to be a little higher end and worth the price but it's really just another Coco's now. Sad to see the decline in quality and increased prices. For it being so corporate I would expect a higher bar. That said the server was friendly and checked in periodically. However I feel it important to mention One of my forks still had food on it when we sat down. who is running this place and are they just so out in the middle of the desert that nobody from corporate visits and sees how bad it is? Avoid this restaurant unless you want mediocre. Won't be back.

Luke THE BARTENDER provided excellent service, even though we arrived just 30 minutes before closing. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. Great experience!

I'm not surprised that the restaurant has 3 stars. Upon entering the empty restaurant the wait time was 20 min. Once seated we immediately notice the dirty silverware, we ask for plastic utensils and are told "those are not wrapped in plastic just so you know." Nevertheless we wait and wait and wait before the server introduces us to another server who will be taking our table. We wait even longer she finally takes our order, (this server can't be bothered with our order). Poor attitudes from multiple staff. Our food gets to our table at various times. One entree came out cold, so we sent it back to be remade. Overall, this is probably the worst Cheesecake Factory I've ever stepped in. I'm from the LA area and this restaurant is a staple for me and my family. It's just unfortunate bc the location of the restaurant is an affluent one. Understaffed * Poor quality food * Poor quality service* Unlikely to ever revisit this location in the future.

Food was good, Customer service was ok. They take for ever to come to your table . Food takes so long to come out. By the time they brought my son's food our food was cold. We finish our drinks and no one Came to ask if we needed a refill. I tried to wave at the waiter but he wouldn't even turn around. I love The cheese cake factory is one of my favorite places to go eat but this time was so bad! Plus it was my son's birthday, but we literally just ate paid and left right away from how bad the service was.

Ordered the Cuban sandwich and fries for lunch. Came out hot and fresh, a little too much pork but otherwise a nice imitation of the real thing. Finished with the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake...awesome. Place was empty so service was good.

It's a lovely setting. It is set up to be a fine experience. Everything is just terrific until you get to the food, which is absolutely hideous. At least what we ordered: Deep fried Brussels sprouts were burned beyond recognition; the Korean roasted cauliflower could have been McDonald's chicken nuggets dipped in honey; the quartet of quarter sized crab cakes came with a price tag that equaled four In-and-Out burgers; the "pinot grigio" was unspeakably terrible, rivaling even airline wine. The MaiTai was okay. I wouldn't even order the cheesecake, as they had no proper straight up cheesecake, only fancy sugary draped monstrosities. I shan't return.

The service was extremely slow. Imagine walking in at 5:45pm, being seated at 5:55pm and not getting your food until after 7:00pm. We were in a rush and asked the server to bring out the food as each one is ready, but he refused. He said they need to bring out all the food at the same time. 2 stars for the incredibly kind manager who apologized and gave us a complimentary dessert. The food was excellent.

Daisy was so attentive and friendly. She really went out of her way to ensure we were more than happy with the service as well as the overall experience altogether. Would definitely come back just because of her!

Now I remember why I haven't been here in over 20 yrs. Food quality is low. When you have A to Z on the menu, might as well just be a buffet

Food was delicious, appetizers were great. Service was in point, little time to wait on table. Ambiance was lovely.
