The Cheesecake Factory Gets $200 million Investment from Roark Capital | Eater Chicago

"After the CEO notified landlords that rents due April 1 would not be paid, the chain publicly signaled severe financial strain; shortly afterward Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group bought $200 million in shares, sending the stock up and potentially providing a fiscal lifeline. As part of the deal, Roark will add a board seat for its president, Paul Ginsberg. The company also runs affiliated concepts such as North Italia and a Southeast Asian kitchen brand, has furloughed roughly 41,000 employees, and shifted many locations to delivery and pickup amid pandemic-driven closures. Before the shutdown it operated 294 restaurants across 39 states plus Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Canada, with multiple Chicago-area sites including a downtown unit at the John Hancock Center and suburban locations in Skokie, Oak Brook, Lincolnshire, and Schaumburg." - Naomi Waxman

Some say that they are too good for The Cheesecake Factory, but not me! My mom and I consistently order the Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp and the Cajun Salmon entrees from this location. We are happy each and every time. This was the presentation even though we ordered through a delivery service. I am very particular about the way my seafood is cooked, and they nail it every time! Also, I did not have trouble getting through to the restaurant to make minor substitutions, which was great.

I am visiting from Melbourne, Australia and I always dine at cheesecake factory each time. This time i am here to celebrate my birthday with my family. Always a delightful dining experience that certainly lived up to my expectations, I am always excited to visit, and always glad i did! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot to enjoy your meal with my family. The menu is impressively extensive, offering a wide array of options that cater to various tastes. Choosing what to order was a fun challenge! When our food arrived, it was nothing short of amazing. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. I particularly appreciated the generous portions—there was so much food that I ended up with a doggy bag, which we happily enjoyed during our trip to Indiana National Park. It’s always nice to have delicious meals on hand when you're out in nature! Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying their cheesecake. It was a challenge to choose from all the options they have, we had to vote and the winner was the dulce de leche cheesecake. It was the perfect ending to our meal—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. Overall, my visit to The Cheesecake Factory was fantastic as always! The food was excellent, the service was friendly, and it was a wonderful way to create memories with family. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a great meal and, of course, some amazing cheesecake!

My niece loved her burger and the portion size is a good value for the price! Cakes we ordered as usual were outstanding. Our waitress was amazing - we felt bad that she seemed to have so many tables to cover, but she did so with grace and kindess. Cheesecake Factory is definitely a favorite, but I was disappointed with my chicken fettucine alfredo with broccoli! There was hardly any chicken and it was undercooked. There was only a sprinkling of broccoli and they were tiny like the kind you get in the freezer section of a store! You could literally count the chicken pieces and broccoli bits. They were nice enough to bring more chicken bits but they were undercooked. Now, looking at my receipt I see that I was CHARGED TWICE for the fettucine (32.95 and then, again 37.95!!). Not having my glasses at the restaurant I must have missed it.

We dine here at least once a year since the beginning of time it seems. Enough tables to have short wait times and a large enough menu that most everyone should be able to find something they want to eat. The menu changes often enough that you do not have to stick with one dish every time to dine here. The food is freshly made and generally very tasty. My wife and I shared the branzino and street corn yesterday and both were very tasty. I have never been disappointed with their service and I do not recall ever leaving without having had a satisfying experience.

Danielle is really wonderful. Food is overpriced. Portions are large. Lunch specials are a great bargain.

Google
This was my first 3 level Cheesecake Factory which was kinda cool to see. The food was solid as always. Service was good but a little slow considering how quiet it was, but we weren’t in a rush so it wasn’t a big issue. It was nice inside and the bathroom were clean. No complaints. A typically solid cheesecake factory appearance 8/10

Google
It's a chain restaurant, so atmosphere is so-so, food was really good off the skinny menu, but prices are high for the overall package.

Heather S.

Google
We stopped here to eat for lunch during a girls holiday shopping day. The atmosphere was really nice, the food was good, but our server was RUDE. He got slammed with a few of us big parties at once. We've all waited tables in our past & would have been understanding and patient with slower than normal service. I always get good food when visiting a Cheesecake Factory - it's always reliable and consistent.

Yelp
CCF remains our go-to for large portions of jazzed-up comfort food. After nearly 30 years in business in this location, the fanciful décor still looks great. I tried the fried chicken club salad for the first time; it was very good but their Chinese chicken salad still reigns supreme. I have one bone to pick: The Missus and I ordered the Low Licious cheesecake with strawberries. There is a $2.00 upcharge for strawberries, but our ramekins each contained just ONE strawberry cut into quarters. Absolutely ridiculous. The chain needs to either increase the portion size or eliminate the upcharge (our wonderful server gladly brought us more strawberries).

Yelp
I stopped in for lunch with my brother and sister in law. The food was delicious. We ordered the Thai Lettuce wraps which are always a hit. My brother got the Thai Salad which essentially is the Thai Lettuce wraps in Salad form. And for the first time I ordered the veggie burger. It was really good. I am not a fan of the impossible burger and this is nothing like that. This was homemade and really good. All in all, lunch was good. But the real reason for the 5 star review was for our server, Denise. What a great and attentive server. It was an absolute pleasure chatting with her. She is just so friendly and personable. Her great personality was contagious. I will definitely ask for her section when I dine here again.

Yelp
I only ordered an appetizer - Crab Dip. Always a hit! My family ordered Fried chicken bow and Chicken Kat Su. They enjoyed both. Fried Chicken Bowl is advertised with gravy. Only a little on the bottom Service was perfect! The server was awesome! He managed our table and 4 others. The accuracy of each order was placed n point Casual ambiance... Will return on the next visit

Yelp
"I don wanna each too much. I don wanna get big." "Girl, too late!" I had a Skinnylicious Asian Chicken Salad (570 calories) and my friend had the avocado egg rolls. Our food came right away. Salad was fine, dressing needed a little more flavor (I had the Skinnylicious salad after all. I think the regular salad has 2x the calories). Friendly server, checked on us often. Refilled my Diet Coke.

Yelp
It's a Thursday night and they aren't all that busy?? I've never been to a Cheesecake Factory without a wait. Lots of tables were open. Did the cold weather deter people? We ordered the cauliflower wings to share. Absolutely amazing! Haven't had bad cauliflower wings before but these were ones I'd order again. Food wise, my dad and I got something from the skinny menu. I got the white chicken chili which didn't skimp on the chicken. It lasted me two days! My dad got one of the grilled salmon entrees. My other family members got: fish tacos, a different salmon dish, Louisiana chicken pasta, bang bang shrimp and chicken, jambalaya pasta. So much food! Only a few of my table mates had leftovers. We did get cheesecake. Can't remember which ones but I feel like you can never go wrong with anything you choose. Love it here!

Yelp
First time ar this location and I'LL BE BACK I ordered the Lemon Garlic Shrimp Angle Hair Pasta (from the Skinnyliouse menu (however you spell it ) and it was really good, gave a 4 because shrimp had shell on 1 and it wasn't pleasant bitting into it. Oh, we started with Ceasar Salad , mine was dressed my husband's dressing on the side, if you like heavy dressing dressed is for youBread was warm and fresh, husband had Spaghetti and Meatballs, said really good but like my pasta, needed more seasoning. Finished with the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake sooo good and rich. Large portions enough left overs for tomorrow's lunch Excellent customer service, no long wait.

Yelp
Came here for date night after a long time. The menu has definitely changed and I wish they didn't remove some of their Asian dishes like the spicy chicken or cashew chicken. The avocado egg rolls were okay this time. Not sure if I would order that again. The bacon burger was good and the chicken Madeira was fantastic!! I wasn't a fan of the asparagus, would have preferred green beans instead. But highly recommend this dish. Great customer service. The restaurant was packed on a weeknight but we were still able to get a table for two quickly.

Yelp
Busy environment. Clean though. It took 25 minutes to get seated. Once seated the waiter was pretty quick to take an order. Steak Diane 4 stars Strawberry cheesecake 4 stars Pasta of various kinds... Chicken pot stickers appetizer 3.5 stars.

Yelp
One of the best things to do after a long day of shopping is to go to the Cheesecake factory for lunch. The ambience is always a cozy but there is also a grand feel to it. Although it looked packed I was able to be seated within about 10 min. The hosts and my waitress were very nice and down to earth. Very accommodating as well. One of my favorite dishes is the steak Diane and shrimp scampi with mashed potatoes. This is what I ordered today. It hit the spot! My mashed potatoes weren't as warm as the rest of my food but they didn't stop me. The meal was deeeeelish!!

Yelp
This is a go-to for after-dinner place with friends. Later at night means parking available. Good for groups. There is coffee which can be paired with a nice Godiva cheesecake slice. I choose this because it has less sugar and less sweet.
google avatar

Annette D.

Yelp
The lunch menu offers something for everyone. Large portions at lunch special prices. I was impressed by the size of the lunch salmon dish. Restaurant was bustling. Cheesecake by the slice is pricey but worth every mouthful.

Yelp
Stopped here for dinner today and ordered the following items for a total of $60.93: - Fried Macaroni and Cheese - Americana Cheeseburger w/ Sweet Potato Fries - Skinny Chicken Soft Tacos The burger was ok but it could have been better. The customer service is amazing and the restaurant has a nice old school ambiance.

Nilufar S.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service. Love the sourdough bread. Cocktails are not the best.

Yelp
I'm very speechless the food tasted good. I ordered a burger with a side of salad, My mother ordered salmon, and my sister ordered pasta with marinara. And the burger bun is so smooth and it tastes so good! I can't stop eating it but eventually I stopped because I'm stuffed. The waitress was so nice but the reason I gave it 4 stars because the service was slow. But I had a great time there.

Yelp
Cheesecake Factory is one of my favorite restaurant and it never disappoints. The food was delicious. I got the chicken costaletta which is my favorite dish. I substituted the asparagus for Brussels sprouts and added gravy to my mash potatoes. It was so good. The service was great my waitress was on top of everything and came frequently to my table to ask if I was ok. The restaurant was quiet. Not many people at the time I went. And for cheesecakes I got the pineapple upside down for the first time. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We've been coming here for years and I was delighted that the service is still top notch. I made reservations for my mom and me for a lunch on Sunday. I asked the host if we could have a table since my mom's mobility is limited. The manager saw my mom with her walker and suggested that since the tables were quite far away and there was an open booth right there, perhaps it would be easier for her? I checked with mom and it did seem like a good option so I was pleased that he was thinking of us. Our server, Eric, got our drinks immediately and gave us time to peruse the menu. We split the fish tacos which can be done grilled or battered and fried. We chose grilled and they were excellent. Not at all spicy which is great since my mom can't handle spice. The fish shone through but were nicely accentuated with crunchy veggies and creamy aioli. Black beans were flavorful and the rice was tender. We then split blueberry pancakes which have three large pancakes bursting with juicy blueberries. The pancakes are thin and moist which is exactly how my mom and I love them and not common at most restaurants. I'd asked the server to not give us any butter for the pancakes and when he bought them, he said he'd found some simple maple syrup since apparently they usually add butter to the maple syrup. Good to know! Thanks for noticing that, Eric! Of course we got cheesecake to go which is always a delight. The only drawback is that the elevator is located in the opposite side from the host stand so we have to walk past all the tables to exit which is strange. Still, the place still looks great and the elevator worked fine so no points deducted for that.

Yelp
Surprising but its only my 2nd time here. The place is nice not too casual and not too dressy. Our server i feel like was alone in a big section and so we dont see her often. But she did take care of us. The food was good. When i saw Gumbo on the menu i knew i had to try it. It was actually wuite good. And we also ordered a bunch of apperitizers. My favorite was the stuffed mushrooms. I like the chips on the nachos. Its like wonton chips. I definitely want to go back to try more stuff on the menu Happy eating!

Yelp
Ordering experience was very easy and self explanatory, I also received everything I wanted exactly the way I asked for it. Everything was very hot after arriving at my home which was amazing! The Togo person gave me fantastic cheesecake recommendations which my family and I enjoyed greatly; they did forget my bread but realized promptly and offered me a free cheesecake slice for the inconvenience. 10/10 everything was amazing, lovely team and great food
google avatar

Yelp
They messed up my delivery order. But I'm glad they did, because while I was inspecting the pasta dish to make sure that, yes, that was the Parmesan cheese I asked them to leave off, I noticed a scraggly black hair in the food I was about to eat. Totally disgusting and suggestive of broader food safety issues. I will not be back and I'd suggest others steer clear of this place, too.

Yelp
My husband and I were craving cheesecake, so we called in a to-go order from The Cheesecake Factory around 8:00 pm. We ordered the Original Cheesecake ($9.95) and the Fresh Banana Cream Cheesecake ($10.50). Over the phone, they said it would take about 5-10 minutes to prepare our order. My husband left to pick it up, and by the time he arrived, the order was ready for curbside pickup--super fast and convenient! Both cheesecakes were absolutely delicious and definitely hit the spot. My favorite was the Original, but we enjoyed them both so much that we finished them in one sitting, pairing them with tea at home. While they're a bit on the sugary side, they make for a perfect treat when you're craving something sweet. We'll definitely be ordering again for those after-dinner indulgences!

Yelp
If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I had the most disgusting and traumatizing experience that I wouldn't wish on anyone--especially not while being 39 and a half weeks pregnant. I ordered a slice of cheesecake with strawberry syrup, expecting a simple dessert. Instead, I was served something absolutely vile--a roach in the syrup. At first, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I immediately felt sick and ended up throwing up several times in the restaurant's restroom. The sheer disgust and shock completely ruined my appetite, and I have barely been able to eat properly all week. At this stage in my pregnancy, nutrition is crucial, but thanks to this nightmare, I've struggled to even keep food down. To make matters worse, when I brought it to the manager's attention, instead of apologizing or taking the issue seriously, they gaslit me--telling me it was "just a leaf." A leaf with legs?! Last I checked, leaves don't walk unless we're talking about an actual insect, which should not be in food or anywhere near a kitchen. The lack of accountability and dismissiveness was beyond unprofessional and unacceptable. This experience was beyond unsanitary and beyond disgusting. It makes me wonder what other health violations are being overlooked here. I expect a full refund and compensation for the distress, the lost appetite, and the health risks I endured due to this inexcusable negligence. If this is how they handle food safety and customer concerns, I truly worry for anyone who eats here. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from this place.

Yelp
I love the marble interior of the Cheesecake Factory. It feels like you are stepping into a palace. Staff make sure to always check in to make sure your meal is ok. The brown bread is toasted, and with the butter is the best bread ever. I love that they have a diverse menu with different cultures. I always get a new dish every time. Their rigatoni alla vodka is a bit spicy, but sweet. Chicken masala is tender. Love the mushrooms and mash potatoes. Cheesecake is very good. My favorite is the Godiva Chocolare cheesecake. With the rich flavor of Godiva chocolate and the creaminess of Cheesecake Factory cheesecake, they make an unbeatable pair.

Yelp
Cheesecake Factory is pretty standard across locations, a large restaurant with tons of food and a chill atmosphere. I came by to get a quick bite while out shopping and I started with the Fried Mac n Cheese. I enjoyed the crunch with the creamy, gooey center. They are large and each ball is pretty filling. For my entree I got the Chicken Parmesan sandwich with a caesar salad. It was a generous portion of food - the salad dressing was vibrant and tasty. The sandwich bread was okay but I enjoyed the chicken parmesan inside of the sandwich. It was a ton of food and i could only eat about half of it. The best part of this experience though wasn't even the food. It was our waitress Dina. It was a busy day and she came with a huge smile on her face ready to help us out. She was knowledgable about menu items and quick to assist us. It was my partners birthday and she even sent us a complimentary dessert. She did an excellent job and from what it looked like, she was dealing with a lot of other tables as well. I also appreciate how detailed the allergen menu is here. I had no issues finding something I wanted with avoiding any allergens. So while Cheesecake factory is a large chain, and I only would come here for a quick, reliable meal if I was by one, it does its job well and has a caring staff to help it out. I would come by this location again if I was out shopping.

Yelp
The food was delicious now serves brunch on Saturday and Sunday was very crowded I had great time had eggs toast pancakes was too full for dessert wanted cheesecake but was too full also has vegan tacos to go love the atmosphere nice keep up the good servers they even bring water to table which is smart

Yelp
Had a really strange experience at Cheesecake Factory. My server, Matt, ate fries off my plate, and when I called him out on it, he admitted it. The manager, Fahem, claimed it was 'company policy' for waiters to taste customers' food. They gave us free cheesecake, but honestly, the whole situation felt off. Just a heads-up to anyone eating here--apparently, your meal isn't just yours. Food was good, experience threw me off

Yelp
Cheesecake Factory at Old Orchard is always a vibe. Service is always great and the food is consistently pretty good. We tried a lot of food on the menu but my new favorite would be the spicy tuna (YUM) Don't forget to try their peach lemonade and share their cheesecake for dessert.

Yelp
The food is so excellent and good here. The service was quick and the food came out quick. The service host at the bar is really nice and she was really cool. Thank you and greatly appreciate the wonderful service here. I went at 1230pm and it was busy so that's why I ate at the bar and I'm glad I did.

Lilly B.

Yelp
We had one of the most upsetting dining experiences ever at the Old Orchard Cheesecake Factory--but I want to start by saying our waiter, David, was amazing: kind, professional, and truly tried to help. Unfortunately, things went downhill when my husband found a large chunk of hardened melted plastic in his burger. David apologized and called over the manager, who comped the burger and offered some cheesecake, but became increasingly aggressive when my brother-in-law (calmly) said he felt that wasn't enough, since none of us could keep eating after that. The manager raised his voice, touched my brother-in-law multiple times after being asked not to, and then stormed off. When my brother-in-law muttered "good boy" out of frustration (disrespectful, not okay, but should have been ignored) the manager came back, shouting across the table--spitting while yelling--and accusing him of being racist in front of our entire family, inches away from a ten-year-old. As we left, other diners started flipping us off. We left humiliated and confused. I've never written a review like this, but it was surreal. The food mistake could've been handled with empathy--but instead, this was hostile, public, and completely out of control.

Yelp
Our server was attentive and knowledgeable and helped is pick out among the many pages of menu items. Place looks nice and is clean. They have 2 floors and lots of seating but you feel like you are having a private meal. The food is classic Cheesecake Factory as in huge servings but good flavor. I had a chicken pasta that I ate for 3 days :) I also always like their herb crusted salmon. I will be back so I can take some cheesecake home this time.

Yelp
Place was packed so good to see. Service was excellent but my food was cold and my guest's was warm. I did say something but didn't want to wait for a new dish. Cheesecake was to die for!! Also bathrooms could have used some attention. I let them know. They brought in more toilet paper but didn't put it in the holder!! It would have only taken 15 seconds.

Yelp
This went to awesome awesome salad place for my mom and I to be to.... eh we can go its good but wth? they now use less than half of the chicken and items that go on it. makes me very sad to see this =/

Yelp
First time eating here I think the prices are a little bit pricey for a pasta with chicken dish 25 plus no thank you I enjoyed the cheesecake though might come back for their special discount deals Nice environment clean and comfy

Yelp
I ventured out into the cold for a bite to eat before shopping, and we ended up at the Old Orchard Shopping Center at the Cheesecake Factory. We were greeted by a nice young man named Christian R, and what I loved about him was that he served us iced water right away. I told my wife it's very rare that servers do this anymore. You actually have to ask for water. We had only had appetizers, but everything from the service to the ambiance and food was delicious. We started with the stuffed mushrooms Fontina and Parmesan Cheese, Garlic and Herbs in a Wine Sauce was delicious. We also had roadside sliders enough for two people with 4 served. Bite-Sized Burgers on Mini-Buns Served with Grilled Onions, Pickles, and Ketchup. we also had Herb Iced Tea, and my wife had a cream of chicken soup with yummy bread. Lastly, a bowl of vanilla ice cream to settle all the foods in our tummy.

Yelp
We came in Tuesday for my daughter's 18th birthday. Our server, Avery, was spectacular, checking regularly to make sure we had everything we needed and that everything was enjoyable, which it was. Avery obviously had a lot of work, with a huge very loud party of like 20 people as well as a family with two unruly kids, but everything was perfect, right down to the birthday cheesecake and candle! Thanks to an amazing server, our celebration held many exceptional lasting memories, thank you Avery!!!

Yelp
GREAT FOOD!! Huge portions never fails to make me satisfied. Our server came over literally once and was not very friendly... oh well. Probably will not come back here for a while.

Yelp
I had a great experience at the Cheesecake Factory. The food is always super flavorful and the service is quick. I will say that after I went my stomach hurt but that's probably because the pasta had so much dairy. Great place to stop in while shopping, I definitely recommend.

Yelp
Came with my wife to meet some friends here for dinner. Cheesecake factory is always a wonderful option for dinner with its wide variety of options that fit so many dietary restrictions. Our server was extremely nice and helpful. He took our orders quickly and made sure to keep an eye on us (refill waters, clear empty plates) without being disturbing or overbearing. His charm definitely added to our visit here. Our seating area was nice and quiet without being too quiet. The noise comfortable level for us to talk without having issues hearing each other, an issue ive run into at multiple dinner places in the past. I ordered the steak and shrimp scampi combo. I do wish it was a little larger with meat portions but the food was delicious as always. Overall cheesecake factory is a definite staple restaurant to visit for a good variety of quality food to have with friends and family.

Marie D.

Yelp
I was at the Cheesecake Factory in Old Orchard today and Bonnie the manager was amazing. I had an issue with something I did wrong in my pre-order and she was kind and professional. Also, the gentleman behind the counter was friendly and went straight into action. kudos to Cheesecake Factory's excellent choice in leaders and team members.

Yelp
Everything was simply amazing!! From the excellent service and referrals from Miss Avital, to the well prepared, seasoned & hot appetizer and entree, to the talented drink connoisseur(bartender), Christian who replicated my drink from The Dominican. Ambiance was soothing, music was the perfect touch/volume. I was here from Detroit on business and was very impressed!

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised by this one! It's been a hot minute with this location. Post lockdown days, it was so much different. I remember this location being packed to the brim on a prime Friday night. This time, it wasn't overly crowded at all and we got fairly seated right away. (Vax card and ID req'd upon entry.) Our server was excellent. I haven't had 5 star service in a very long time. She was polite, attentive and accommodating. I think this was the best service I ever had between the waitress and her friendly assistant who delivered and carried away our food. The food in itself was a solid 3. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. A few things: the fried mac and cheese balls and the avocado rolls are BEYOND OVERRATED. The tomato sauce for the mac and cheese was excellent. The insides were not the best, a bit slimy and not the best consistency. Same with the avocado egg rolls, it was mostly just hype. It was a little disappointing but still pretty good. We ordered the 4 cheese pasta and jambalaya shrimp dish. Both were great. The 4 cheese was overrated as well. It was mostly just sauce that I was eating as the ratios of the noodles to sauce was TOO MUCH SAUCE not enough chicken or noodles. I loved the flavor and seasoning of the jambalaya/jerk sauce. It came with rice, black beans and a pineapple side that coincided wonderfully with the entire plate. Last but not least, of course we spoiled ourselves with some lemon méringue cheesecake. Perfect hint of tart, a nicely charred méringue and a thick consistency of cheesecake. PHENOMENAL! I would like to come back to try their infamous basic fettucine alfredo along with some other dishes I've done extensive months long research about. All in all, the food is a solid C+ whilst the experience and service and cheesecake nailed it across the board.

Yelp
First, I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation to eat here, unless you enjoy having conversations with your friends while you wait! It was packed at 3:30pm on a Saturday. But I will tell you this: the food is worth it! My wife and I came here for a date night, and we were seated within 5 minutes of checking into our reservation. We were seated, and this is where they lost half a star: it took between 5-10 minutes for someone to come to our table for drinks. They took our drink order, and we did not see our sever for another 10 minutes. I did not take any stars off for this, as the drinks had to come from the bar and I understand that it takes time to mix drinks. After we got our drinks, they asked if we would like to order any appetizers. We ordered the Buffalo blasts and the Texmex Eggrolls. My advice: ORDER THE BUFFALO BLASTS! They are what you get when you cross Crab Rangoon with buffalo chicken dip, and then you batter and deep fry it. We came for the Eggrolls, but ended up LOVING the Buffalo blasts! Halfway through the appetizers, I was wondering when our server was going to take our order for entrees. It seemed strange that we were ordering one course at a time, but I was willing to overlook it due to to amount of food on our table. It's possible they were waiting for us to get closer to finishing to get our order placed. About 10 minutes later, our server came by and took our orders for entrees. Our pasta came out fast, only 10-15 minutes after we ordered them. My wife got the spicy rigatoni vodka, and I am guilty of getting the same food each time: Louisiana chicken pasta. The spicy rigatoni vodka was cooked perfectly al dente, and the peppers brought a delightful, almost fruity flavor to the dish. For the Louisiana chicken pasta, it is a very straightforward flavor: bold spices in a light sauce. The chicken added much needed crunch and flavor contrast, adding a rich counterpoint to the spicy/sweet spices in the pasta. Finally, you can't go to the Cheesecake Factory and not order cheesecake. I ordered the salted caramel cheesecake, and my wife ordered the lemon raspberry cream cheesecake. I am a huge caramel fan, but I will say that this cheesecake is HEAVY. It is incredibly rich, to the point where I couldn't finish over half of it. My wife's cheesecake, on the other hand, was TART! The lemon and raspberry cut right through the rich cheesecake, but to me felt a little overpowering. It was enjoyable, but make sure you like cheesecake that has a fruit flavor over a creamy flavor. In summary, this was a fantastic meal. The only sore points for me were the wait times, and the fact that we only saw our server four times the entire meal, and each time was to bring food. I would HIGHLY recommend this location!

Yelp
This has long been a favorite of my family's, so we weren't surprised when our daughter chose it for her birthday dinner tonight. I recently joined the rewards program and was looking forward to our celebration all week. Unfortunately we had a horrible experience. We started off with a round of drinks and our favorite Thai lettuce wraps. All was well until my dad found a bug floating in his beer glass. I flagged down the waitress who took it away and asked him if he wanted another one. After we got our entrees, my daughter then saw a roach on the wall right next to her! Crawling close to her!! He then jumped onto the table!! She was freaked out so I summonsed the waitress yet again. She suggested that we move to an open table by the window and helped us move our plates and everything else off the table, which was inconvenient but obviously necessary. Yet that's all she did. She left, but I saw the manager (an older white haired gentleman who had spoken to my parents when he saw them come up on the elevator and noticed my mom walking with a cane). So I got his attention and told him what happened. He asked if we told the waitress and I said yes, she had us switch tables. He didn't apologize or offer to do anything for us either. He just left. When the waitress came back she asked if we were ready for dessert! We had all lost our appetite and were no longer eating. My daughter was still shaken so I told the waitress I would just let her order a piece of cheesecake to go, instead of our singing to her as we planned. She brought the to go order I had placed for my husband...and the bill...and told me she didn't charge us for the beer or the slice of cheesecake "in light of the situation." That was it. My parents were shocked and if they weren't with us, I would have pressed the issue. They're actually lucky my husband couldn't make dinner because he worked in hospitality management and he definitely would have raised hell. I left a smaller than normal tip and explained why on the receipt. It was a $200 meal for 4 people and I certainly would have expected better treatment or some sort of gesture to make up for the inconvenience and damper on the occasion. Imagine if the dept. of sanitation had been called! (If they have them in the dining room you best believe they're in the kitchen...) My daughter's birthday was ruined and they acted like bugs and roaches are a usual thing. Maybe they are there, but it certainly changed my impression of what was once an enjoyable place to go. Very disappointed!!

Yelp
The vibes coming in here felt magical but the wait when I got up those stairs wasn't so lovely. This place gets packed quick so waiting on a table and our food was a bit of a drag. I loved the food and the waiter we had was awesome. We ordered Avocado Egg Rolls which tasted really good along with my pasta.

Yelp
Going to the Cheesecake Factory is a vibe. We got our seats right away, but usually you have to wait a while before getting your seat. The bread came out Right away as well. Firstly, the bread was good the lemonade was good the strawberry lemonade was good, tried it. And the water. Next the spaghetti noodles and the davinci pasta was Delicious! And Third, I got the strawberry cheesecake and it was delicious! And Lastly, There was a new cheesecake called triple berry as a birthday award. Mom and Amal took a bite one by one and it was delicious! I will definitely come back! now we then just left to go and then went shopping at Old Orchard Mall. I will definitely come back here!!!! we went there today. End of review and goodnight.

Yelp
Jose R was our server and he did great. We had a group of 5 and we were all rambunctious after our tennis match asking for water, bread, and alcohol. He was great and helpful. The Korean cauliflower and the coconut mojito were my favorite from the meal.

Yelp
I've had Cheesecake Factory in several states and typically the food is solid. Westfield location is the exception ...although this location in the past wasn't terrible. Today I ordered several items including the cheeseburger spring rolls which sounded delicious on the menu. What I received was Raw ground beef inside a wonton wrap - disgusting and dangerous! I called and spoke with Tyler who immediately offered a refund - hence the 2 stars instead of 1. He made me laugh after he caught me calling him a MF because I thought he hung up on me but I was on hold. He replied "I'm not that mean of a MF." Lol

Yelp
Service here is terrible. Stood at the front check in for 5 minutes never greeted by the male manager. He just looked at me and brushed by. Not sure who he's knows, but definitely not customer service oriented!

Yelp
My it's been a while since I last visited Cheesecake Factory. I think I've only been there for dinner, so today I was having a craving for carbs and their renown bread. I was in the area and Cheesecake Factory it was! Located near the Bloomingdales of Old Orchard, the main dining room is on the second level. I just arrived around 11:30am on a Wednesday before Thanksgiving - and you can bet that it was busy with multiple generations and larger parties. It was my kids first time ever, and they were quite impressed by the decor as we walked in. The server approached with bread and asked us if we wanted more bread right away, I said "you know you can't just have one round of bread here!" The bread is as good as always with the butter - it can't be beat. Super soft for the dark bread and a crisp for the baguette. We finish the bread basket in no time, my mind was still on the bread with no real interest in the menu. I recall that the shepherds pie was good and my family likes pasta (Pasta Napolenta) as well so we ordered those dishes. The orders arrived at a normal time. We split amongst our family those two dishes. The chicken chili is slightly spicy, and had a nice aroma. The order taker said it was a a small portion, but it seemed like a normal portion to me (I'd get full from it). The Pasta Napolenta had alot of colors going on, with Italian sausage, pepperoni, some rich taste and then hidden under the red sauce was a creamy pasta. It hit the spot nicely - my kids commandeered it right away (those noodle monsters). The shepherds pie had a really rich gravy, the ground beef had good texture, mash potatoes, gravy, mushrooms, zucchini - it was a fantastic entree - even better than I remembered from back in the day. All together a good experience. Lots of families and kids around today. The menu is huge, you'll definitely find something you'll like - but it always takes me forever to make a decision as well. Glad we went down nostalgia lane. I really liked how I was able to QR code for the menu and billing and pay for the bill on my phone.
