Do American Teens Still Need the Mall? - Eater

"“Cheesecake Factory,” she says. “I’ve tried 67 different menu items. It’s taken me six years, but I’ve got a list going. But I’m not keeping track of the drinks, and I don’t like cheesecake.” Valerie confirms before I can even ask, explaining that the waitress at the Washington Square mall Cheesecake Factory gifted her a menu to put little x’s beside the dishes she’s tried already — her current rankings place the Thai chicken in top position and the meatloaf at the bottom “because my meatloaf was way better than their meatloaf.” At this rate, she’ll be done sometime in the next 25 years, provided the mall and the world that surrounds it make it that long." - Jamie Loftus

Three of us enjoyed a wonderful Sunday brunch at this restaurant, and from start to finish, it was an absolutely delightful experience. We dined al fresco, soaking in the warmth of the sun while savoring an array of thoughtfully prepared dishes. We began with the avocado egg rolls, which were fresh and flavorful—a perfect start. The Pasta Da Vinci was rich and satisfying, and the grilled fish tacos were wonderfully seasoned and light. The Santa Fe salad offered a vibrant mix of textures and flavors, and we capped our meal with a slice of tangy, creamy key lime cheesecake that was the perfect finishing touch. What truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service. Our server, Moriya was attentive, kind, and genuinely committed to ensuring we had everything we needed. All in all, it was a thoroughly enjoyable brunch—delicious food, excellent service, and a beautiful outdoor setting made it a meal to remember. We’ll definitely be returning!

Great food and drinks! We loved the menu as there's a large variety of dishes you can choose from! The Spicy Margarita was excellent! The only thing we found annoying was waiting for about 40 minutes to get some cheesecake slices we ordered before leaving. The lady said she would call us when the order were ready, but she never mentioned it would take that long.

Google
The food was good but the service was slow. I tried the celebration cheesecake and it was super sickly and not very tasty. The menu was expansive but there wasn’t much that caught my attention so I went with my instincts and got the grilled cheese which was pretty good. It’s a pretty cool place if you’ve never been before, the high ceilings and decor is impressive. Overall it was a bit of a swing and a miss on my part, wouldn’t come here again.

We had a wonderful meal at The Cheesecake factory. We had the Honey Truffle Chicken and the Bee Sting Pizza! Both meals were delicious and would 100% recommend! Our server Miranda was very nice and nothing was too much trouble.

Google
A good experience overall. The food left more to be desired. Not bad by any means. Nothing beats the white chocolate macadamia nut cheesecake though. Very large portions as well so be mindful when ordering.

Went and didn't have much of a wait. The food was great and our service was really good. Was celebrating my birthday and had never been to a Cheesecake Factory before, good job! Definitely worth going, a little spendy, but great for a special occasion. It is a little too loud, but that is my only complaint.

Google
Too much noisy. ( when cleaning table and utensils) Worst service paid min 20% tip. ( spilled drink ( salt melted all over sides) then she served. ) All over sticky when holding glass. Not comfortable seats very close to other tables. Never seen worst serving like here. This is our first time and last time too.

Great Drinks, Friendly Service, but the Kitchen Missed the Mark We stopped by The Cheesecake Factory at Washington Square Mall for a quick bite and cocktail after some shopping. Since it was happy hour, we decided to take advantage. We were warmly greeted in the bar area, which was a nice start. I ordered a Bloody Mary, and it was absolutely amazing! The bartender mentioned they make their own mix, and it definitely showed—it looked incredible and tasted even better. While browsing the menu around 4 p.m., we finally decided on the happy hour nachos. When our bartender/waitress came back, she said she managed to get us the happy hour nachos, which surprised us. We hadn’t seen a happy hour menu, and it was already 10 minutes into happy hour. I found it odd that no one had mentioned it earlier, but we were glad to have gotten the deal. Then came the waiting… and waiting. It took about 25 minutes for the nachos to arrive, and the bar wasn’t even busy—just a couple of people at the bar and a few tables. A different bartender started her shift during our visit, and she was fantastic. Super attentive and really listening. She overheard us joking about how good the bread looked and offered to bring us some. We declined (trying to be good with the calories), but it was great to see that level of attentiveness. If I had wanted the bread, I know she would have brought it without hesitation. Unfortunately, when the nachos finally arrived, they were a letdown. They were cold, the cheese was burnt on one side, and they lacked pico de gallo (though we got some on the side). The guacamole was also pretty bland. But honestly, the highlight of our visit ended up being watching the second bartender craft some of the most beautiful drinks I’ve ever seen. These frozen concoctions looked like literal art pieces—bright, colorful, and stunning. I can only imagine how amazing they tasted. I’ll definitely go back to Cheesecake Factory—it’s always been a favorite—but I left feeling like the kitchen and bar weren’t quite in sync during this visit, especially considering how quiet it was. Still, great drinks and friendly service made it worth it.

Yelp
My friends and I had an amazing birthday celebration. Our server Chris A. was amazing and helped me learn how to use silverware. He was very attentive and up beat. The food was also amazing and very filling.

Yelp
From the moment we were seated, everything about our visit to The Cheesecake Factory was fantastic! We started with their classic brown bread, warm, soft, and slightly sweet, it's honestly reason enough to visit. Then came the Mac and Cheese Bites, and wow these were chef's kiss! Perfectly crispy on the outside, gooey and rich on the inside. A decadent start. For my main course, I went with the Chicken Bellagio, and it did not disappoint. It was a massive portion but every bite was flavorful. Crispy chicken, basil pasta, and prosciutto. And of course, we couldn't leave without dessert. The Chocolate Tuxedo Cheesecake was the grand finale, smooth, rich, and layered to perfection. Overall, the food came out fast, our server was friendly and efficient, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I'll be dreaming about those mac and cheese bites until the next visit!

Yelp
We were there for a later lunch on Saturday around 1:30. They're still busy. We got seated after 15 minutes wait. It took a while for the Waitress to come serve us, but I totally understand that because she's very busy. Food here is always serve in a huge portion. We ordered Monte Cristo and calamari. Calamari taste really fresh when they first come out, but after taking it home, theyre kind of chewy. Of course, I always have to end the meal with a slice of cheesecake. The cheesecake looks smaller than before, but still taste good.

Yelp
We have always dined here, not sure why I haven't write a review until today. And it's a good thing because I would have rated this place 2/5 in the past. We come here anyway because it's convenient, right in the mall. I was never impressed with this restaurant, until now! We came by on an early Sunday afternoon, waited for 30 mins because we don't have a reservation. Once seated, server did not make us wait too long, took our orders and served our bread. We ordered 2 appetizers: Poke Nachos and Lettuce Wrap, both very very good! 5/5. I had their White Chicken Chili, this is very flavorful! And it's only 650 calories! Easily a 5/5. Hubby had the Pasta da Vinci: I keep stealing his food. Excellent! Rated 5/5 Son opted for the SkinnyLicious Chicken Burger - he finished his chicken but did not like the salad that came with it. He never ate it. He rated chicken burger 4/5. They have separate bathrooms for men and women. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Been awhile! Our server was very nice, however the manager just kinda shook it off when, my boyfriend cut his hand on something sharp on one of the seats and he was like "oh weird..." he offered us another place to sit and we just sat on the other side of our booth. good music I had the fried mac and cheese bites rate 7.8/10 (its different every time somehow) My boyfriend got the pretzel bites rate 6/10. Our service was impressively fast again our server was great and it was very quiet in here as it was a snowy day. Dessert was Strawberry cheese cake rate 10/10 would come back Bill: 50$ after tip :)

Yelp
There is something for everyone at the Cheesecake Factory! We ordered new to us items; The Chicken Piccata, and the Italian Sausage and Fresh Mushroom Rigatoni. The Chicken Piccata had bright lemon yet satisfying creamy flavors and the Rigatoni had just the right kick. They will definitely be in our rotation. Our host and server were great and we felt at home in this classic establishment.

Yelp
I went to the cheesecake factory on Friday around 6 pm. The restaurant was already crowded, so I decided takeout order. I ordered Beet and *Avocado Salad:Glazed Beets, Quinoa, Avocado, Fresh Orange, Arugula, and Honey-Yogurt Sauce. *Stuffed Mushrooms:Fontina and Parmesan Cheese, Garlic and Herbs in a Wine Sauce. *Spicy Tuna:Ahi Tuna on Crispy Sushi Rice with Ginger and Green Onion. *And Original Classic Cheesecake. The original cheesecake from Cheese Factory, which I hadn't eaten in decades, was smooth, light, and delicious. I liked the beef and avocado salad because it had a great flavor. The other two dishes were also perfect for snacks. It was good to try the cheesecake factory!

Yelp
I can't believe this place only has three stars. This is such a grand place to eat. The decorations and construction says it itself. The service was fast and very nice workers. Food was flavorful.

Yelp
We made a reservation online and visited The Cheesecake Factory in Tigard, OR. Upon our timely arrival, we were neither greeted nor welcomed, and we ended up waiting over 15 minutes to be seated. To make use of our time, we purchased a gift card for friends while waiting. Our server appeared to be generally unhappy, though it was unclear why. It took a noticeably long time for her to bring us water and bread and to take our orders. We ordered our long-time favorite dish, the Bang Bang Chicken & Shrimp, but unfortunately, it was a big disappointment this time. The dish was markedly different in a not-so-good way compared to what we've enjoyed before. Having ordered this dish more than 20 times, this was by far the worst experience. The presentation was poor, and the portion of chicken and shrimp was significantly smaller--just four small pieces each. I understand the impact of inflation and shrinkflation, but this fell far short of even minimal expectations. To make matters worse, the dish didn't taste good, possibly due to a lack of sufficient ingredients. The only ingredient that seemed plentiful was sweet peas, which were overwhelming and detracted from the overall flavor. In summary, our experience at the Tigard location was disappointing.

Yelp
Walk-ins should expect a 10-20 minute wait for seating, which is typical based on my many visits to this location. The wait is worth it, though! The servers are always nice and sweet, making the experience even better. I had the Buffalo Blasts, which were fantastic, and the nachos, which were generously portioned. Happy hour is a great time to visit for deals, and of course, the cheesecake is an absolute must-have! Buffalo Blasts 7/10 Nachos 7/10

Yelp
It's my birthday! But no free cheesecake on your birthday unless you sign up the day before. Lame. Menu is incredibly overwhelming and the prices aren't the cheapest on most the menu. It would be great if you had less options and better quality. The salad we had was saturated in dressing and it was a skinny salad and too much dressing to be good. But the cheesecake is always good and shareable. Service was good as always, Mat was our server and he even brought me a scoop of ice cream with whip and a candle! You rock Mat!

Yelp
One of our favorite locations, The Cheesecake Factory, once again delivered a great dining experience. Our party ordered our usual favorites: the Jambalaya and the Chicken Madeira, starting with the Tex Mex Egg Rolls as an appetizer. We came with a larger party this time and had the opportunity to try other menu items like the steak, salmon, and Alfredo pasta. While I always get the Jambalaya, it came with a different type of noodle this time. However, the server was kind enough to swap it for the thicker pasta they usually use, which was much appreciated. Also I highly recommend their strawberry cheesecake for dessert. Overall, the food was great. As always, the service was friendly and attentive, consistent with what we have come to expect from The Cheesecake Factory.

Yelp
The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken bellagio and I would definitely order it again. The service was kind of rude. I understand it was busy but we had reservations and they didn't have a table ready for us. The cheesecake was amazing though.

Yelp
I don't care what anyone says , anytime I've been to the cheese cake factory it's been a good time , it's been super yummy and the ambiance has been amazing! and the service 10/10 . They have homemade sauces and they are the best I've ever had!

Yelp
Great job today! I have a new favorite here. The Cajun Salmon is bomb! So good! The Avocado Eggrolls were great as usual. The pastas and new green chili enchiladas were all outstanding. Our server Marisa was friendly, hard working and helpful! She's an outstanding server!

Yelp
Mostly good, one miss. My steak dish was very tasty, nice perfectly cooked steak. The fish and chips were unfortunately soggy coating and not much flavor. Came on a Friday and got lucky with being seated right away, place was packed. Cheesecake and chocolate cake were yummy!

David K.

Yelp
My family has been to plenty of CheeseCake Factories across the country. Our meal last night was a disaster. After placing our order, it took more than 45 minutes for the food to be served. All of the meals arrived COLD. I ordered the Steak and Eggs. It was the smallest steak I had ever seen. About the size of a deck of cards. I got a copy of the menu and noticed that none of the steaks listed their portion size. A few minutes ago, the store manager gave me a call to apologize for the terrible experience. When I pointed out the issue that they don't list the steak size on the menu, he told me that they "couldn't fit information like that on the menu" and he was "very sorry that I felt that way". That's when I hung up.

Yelp
Reservation on Sunday at 8 pm, party of 8, seated at 8:20 pm. Server Mikaela was incredible and very real. Was honest about menu items and we loved her. Unfortunately service did feel slow overall though because it was so busy. Food was good based on everyone's experience. I ordered Carne Asada Steak Togo for my husband, he was disappointed in the portion sizes. Overall, it was a good experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Corn Ribs = to die for. Wow. A must get. Creamy mushroom soup = quite good. Nothing super special. Beet & Avocado Salad = so incredibly flavourful. This was amazing. Will get this every single time.
google avatar

Yelp
Even with a reservation, I had to wait an extra 10 minutes before getting seated. The guy showing me to my table didn't even look at me, just jerked his chin like "go over there" and went back to whatever he was doing. Super rude vibe from this young, short-haired dude with zero manners--really unpleasant experience. But then a super friendly server turned my mood around. The food's still a bit salty, but not so bad I couldn't eat it. Free parking's a plus.
google avatar

Yelp
I love The Cheesecake Factory and so does my entire family. I don't think I've ever eaten a bad meal here and the menu is huge so there is something for everyone. We most recently went this past Saturday after Valentine's Day and I was able to make a reservation online to bypass a bit of the wait, which is normally 40+ minutes on the weekends. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, despite the fact that the place was packed. The stars of the night were definitely the slices of cheesecake we ordered at the end. I would give this five stars if rating off the food and service alone but I did knock off a star because parking is absolutely miserable here and I wish they could have a dedicated parking section just for dine in customers.

Yelp
So sad, my experiences with them are getting worse and worse :( I ordered take out but it's not just because of that. First, the bread we got was so hard. I question if the bread was made a couple days ago. We tried microwaving and all but it was so stiff and hard. It was very disappointing. I also ordered Pasta Da Vinci. Every time I go to the Cheesecake Factory, for the past 6-7 years, I'd get the same dish. Because of that, I know it was not the same as before. First off, the flavor and seasoning changed drastically. Online it said: "Sauteed Chicken, Mushrooms and Onions in a Delicious Madeira Wine Sauce Tossed with pasta." 1. The chicken are now little diced pieces of chicken. It has a frozen/not thawed well taste to it and it wasn't seasoned other than a little bit of salt. It's dry and tough. In the past the pieces were bigger, flavorful, and tender. 2. Mushrooms: there used to be a few different kinds of mushrooms in this dish so you get different flavors and textures. Now, it's just one kind and I bet the cheapest kind but they only give it to you sparingly. 3. Onions: I forgot if I ate any onions...that's not good 4. Madeira wine: no wine smell at all. I'm not an expert but I just know that the taste and smell was not the same. It wasn't fragrant like before. I guess the stars went to my Godiva cheesecake. Looks a bit smaller but the flavor was still about the same. I get with inflation but their dishes were quite $$$ now. I may use that money for something else a little more consistent.

Yelp
We came in for a beer and dinner on a Friday evening around 6 or so. The wait was 40 mins so we went over to the bar and got a beer and decided to eat there. Michaela was the bartender for us. She was very nice, polite and attentive. I like the way she laid a white napkin down on the bar for each of our placemats. That was a nifty idea. My bacon bbq burger was delicious. Her pasta was really good too. It was very nice of her to serve us some bread prior to our food arriving. The honey butter was soft smooth and easy to spread on the bread. The beers were cold and overall a great dinner. I can't wait to come back again when I am over on that side of town.

Yelp
3.5 Huge menu! Everything is pretty tasty but I wouldn't say it's mind blowing. Definitely loved our guava sparkler drinks.

Yelp
We recently visited again and thought I'd update with the photos. Food was perfect. Service was amazing, shes was on top of it (I forgot her name). Ambiance is beautiful as always. Love the vibe, decor, and lighting.

Yelp
My first time at the Cheesecake Factory today. This review is only about the cheesecake as we didn't get any other food. I got the Oreo extreme cheesecake and it was massive! In fact all the cheesecake slices are very large! I was shocked (in a good way). It was delightfully creamy, and sweet. I also got to try the banana cream, celebration cheesecake, and the triple tower chocolate cake. All of them were so delicious. The wait was 40 minutes for four of us. Please be aware of that, they were hopping! Each cheesecake slice is over 1200calories so keep that in mind. The decaf coffee was actually pleasant. I didn't the bread they bring out and I didn't understand the hype. It was okay. Nothing that special. That said, it was fun. The ambiance was too dark for me, which is why the picture seems a bit blurry. Our server was very nice. I'd go back but I wouldn't make it a regular thing. Maybe one or twice every couple of years.

Yelp
Tried the cheesecake factory for the first time this weekend and had the mac & cheese cheeseburger, and it was surprisingly very delicious... I'm kind of curious if you can get the deep-fried mac & cheese by itself because I would love to eat an entrée of that. It was very good so I highly recommend that and I guess that's a popular item to try out. Definitely add the sweet potato fries. We also had a red beat and mango salad with some yogurt and what not and that was fantastic.
google avatar

Yelp
Love their variety of cheesecakes to choose from. Their menu is abound with choices also! Just be prepared to wait for your food, even during downtime. The ambience is dim with beautiful ceilings and pillars, giving a nice atmosphere as if you were somewhere else, like Italy.

Yelp
I decided to eat at the Cheesecake Factory for my birthday last night with some friends and partner. We made reservations for 5:45pm. We were sat fairly quick, my only complaint was that we would've preferred a booth but it wasn't the end of the world. We all ordered a couple drinks that were all delicious. I ordered a Georgia Peach as well as a Raspberry Lemon Drop. They were both delicious and fresh tasting, very dangerous lol. They delivered some free bread and butter before our appetizers. We ordered mexican street corn, fried macaroni and cheese, as well as pretzels with the fondue cheese as our appetizers. I would order all 3 again but I could've devoured the whole plate of mexican street corn if I wanted For my entree, I ordered the chicken madeira and steak diane combo with mashed potatoes & asparagus. So yummy, I enjoy the sauce but ordered without mushrooms. Their mashed potatoes were to die for. By the time we were halfway through our entrees we were so full we had to order cheesecake to-go. I got a slice of my choice for free since it was my birthday and I'm a rewards member with them. I got the raspberry white chocolate truffle cheesecake. Do I need to say anymore?! I love the decor and the waitress was very kind that helped us out this evening. Will be back again! :)

Yelp
Good lunch experience overall. It was a weekend, so they were pretty busy. Service was friendly and adequate. We ordered a chicken avocado club sandwich with side salad and the tex Mex chicken egg rolls. The salad was very fresh and a good size, although my thousand island dressing had little to no taste. The sandwich was pretty good, big portion. The egg rolls were the highlight, definitely full of flavor. Great warm breads served while you wait. The restaurant is bright and seemed clean. Where we were seated at the long row of 2-tops in the bar area felt a bit tight. I didn't have much breathing room between me and the diner next to me. But overall it was a pretty good lunch...I'd recommend the egg rolls and strawberry lemonade. :)

Yelp
Had a great dinner here! I've only been here one other time. Both times I've sat in the bar area due to a long wait time for a table. We had Kaitlyn S. for a server and she was incredible. Timely, friendly, and knowledgeable. There isn't a Cheesecake Factory where I live, so it's a treat to come here. Will definitely be back! Cheesecake to go! Great service and great food this trip!

Yelp
Did you ever just crave a piece of cheesecake? I have been thinking about my mom's simple homemade cheesecake since Mother's Day. It was basic- a butter and graham cracker crust, a whipped up cream cheese, egg, sugar, and vanilla middle and a sour cream, lemon, and sugar topping. Easy. Delicious. I cannot find her recipe :( Sadness. We have never ever been to CF. ( it is a chain, we tend to be anti chain). But today we ordered from Door Dash. Holy moly the menu is hugely daunting! Anthony Bourdain always said to never trust a giant menu. They cannot do everything well and it usually means not everything is made in house. We ordered: Mexican street corn ribs Stuffed mushrooms Chicken salad sandwich with sweet potato fries for a couple bucks extra Salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes Lemon raspberry cheesecake w/ ice cream Red velvet cheesecake A strawberry smoothie A tropical iced tea They sent their bread and butter. I signed up for their rewards program and got $10 off. It was still a little expensive I think. I'm the stuffed mushroom, chicken salad, red velvet, and iced tea girl. I ate it over lunch and dinner. And 9pm cheesecake. It was all good. Not amazing but packaged well, delivered pretty quickly, everything was hot and fresh or appropriately cold and refreshing. The bread, iced tea, and cheesecake were my fav parts. They have so many cheesecake flavors, something for everyone but it made it hard to choose. I liked the red velvet layers but I think I am a more basic cheesecake kind of a girl. My sick kid was happy with their food and ate it over the next two and a half days. The raspberry lemon cheesecake doesn't hold up two days later- we advise you to eat it sooner. We will do it again (but order less) and try the og cheesecake cuz we have a free piece coming now. It was ok. 3.75 I think.

Yelp
I'm making this review before even being seated. That is because they pissed me off at the reception table as soon as I walked in the door. If not for the fact that my daughter wanted to eat here, I would've walked right out of the door. We were in Washington Square Mall on Xmas Eve, we made reservations for 4:30. We walk in at 10 till and go to receptionist desk only to be ignored for about 3 minutes while four employees chatter amongst themselves. They don't look up or acknowledge us until another woman walks up. They acknowledge her first, then us as an afterthought. I'm pissed now, I want to go, and I begin grumbling about it. I stayed because my daughter wants to stay. But I'm fuming inside.

Yelp
Was staying nearby and stopped in. I ordered the chicken tortilla salad off the Skinnylicious menu. The salad was huge and only 550 calories. It was delicious and filling. The warm bread was a bonus.

Yelp
Group of 4 on a late Saturday afternoon mid October. 15 min wait. Sourdough bread was hard first go round but much better on the second. We had a salmon plate, Parmesan Crusted Chicken plate and Parmesan Crusted Chicken, 'Pizza Style' plate. Only got pic of the last. Had no idea what I was getting because it wasn't what I expected. Enuf for 3 servings in my opinion. It was ok, the marinera was a bit spicy and it was served without the Alfredo so I had to ask for it. Service was a bit slow but overall meal was ok. Would probably return.

Yelp
Food and service were great but the restaurant was extremely loud and we were seated right by the kitchen.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time. Their Asian tacos were skinny, licious, and delicious... Our waitress, Lily was just Cheerful, wonderful and attended to our every need. Five star rating for her definitely and of course their desserts are sinfully delicious.

Yelp
This review is only for takeout btw! Just wanted to treat myself after a long week, so got a cheesecake and crab wontons. The girl at the counter was super sweet and patient even though it was very busy. 15min wait for the food and it held well in the 15 min drive home. The crab wontons here are the besttt ever. They don't compare anywhere else. The Cheesecake Factory is obviously not gourmet food, but they their appetizers always hit the spot.

Robert L.

Yelp
Wasn't what I expected . Very busy and service was very slow . No refills for the drinks .

Yelp
This was our first time to the Cheesecake Factory and we had a wonderful time. Our waitress Danielle was very friendly and provided great service. It was my sons birthday and the scoop of ice cream was a nice touch. I had low expectations but was pleasantly surprised. We had the Tex mix and avocado spring rolls and wow, really good. I had the 4 cheese pasta and my son took most of it as it was so good. We will for sure return.

Yelp
Four adults went for dinner on a Sunday night. The menu is huge, lots of yummy looking choices. We tried several appetizers that we pretty good. These were relatively small servings for the prices. The street corn was attached to a strip of the cob and hard to eat. The Korean Fried Cauliflower was scrumptious, and the 6 small Stuffed Mushrooms were not flavorful nor interesting. Our four dinner orders included: My basic Mushroom Burger made with their home made veggie burger with fries, which was pretty standard, An order of Fettuccini Alfredo with 4 Shrimp that was tasty, but for $32.00 was ridiculous. The Jamaican Black Pepper Chicken was really enjoyed, The small steak Diane with small Salmon slice was good. Our non-alcoholic summery drinks were quite refreshing and attractive. The food gets 3 to 8 stars. The service was EXCELLENT in spite of the crowd and noise, so gets 10+ stars. The AMBIENCE in total gets 2 stars. It's very over-crowded, and the noise level at times unbearable. We were 4 adults crowded into a small booth and could barely hear each other. The acoustics are poor and nothing around to absorb sound. The decor is undecided between Roman, Greek, Islander. The background music sounded like something you'd hear in a bar, not in a restaurant during dinner. We realize everyone's prices are up nowadays, but their pricing far exceeds what's offered for sale. Little button mushrooms @ $2 each? This place reminded me of the old Farrell's Ice Cream Parlours but for adults. There is nothing unique enough for any of us to want to return to any Cheesecake Factory.

Yelp
Fried zucchini was great, but the larger pieces were a little undercooked. Not a big deal, but consistency would've been much better. I originally ordered the Steak Diane which was unfortunately really... not good. The meat was overcooked & the sauce was too bitter. Wasn't like the Steak Diane I've had before. The waitress seemed to notice & asked if I was actually enjoying my food & I told her no, but maybe it was just my preference that I didn't like the dish. She insisted she remove it from our bill & I order something else, which was above & beyond what I expected to be offered. (Of course I replaced it with the filet mignon & paid, which is what I should've originally done.) The service was great, atmosphere was nice, we were seated fairly quickly for a weekend night... it was great. I hadn't been to a Cheesecake Factory in so long, I forgot how diverse the menu is & how good the food is.

Yelp
I order the cajun jambalaya absolutely the worst jambalaya I have ever had the meat was very fatty and inedible. There was too much seasoning spread all over the plate. Have eaten at several Cheesecake factory all over the country. And this is the worst corporate should be very embarrassed of this cheesecake factory at Washington Square.

Yelp
Way over priced and everything was flavorless. Manager was snobbish. The ambiance hasn't changed in years. Sucks my birthday lunch was no good. Not going back probably ever.

Yelp
We came on a Friday night. Actually here right now. We asked the hostess and she said it'd be an hour, her tone was super rude and stuck up. So we asked if we could order to go, she directed us to the bakery counter. The bakery counter didn't have any menus. We went back to the hostess desk and waited 15 minutes to get a menu. when I asked blonde bimbo hostess Barbie why she didn't give us the menu while there, she said "sorry I didn't think about it!" I guess she really can't walk and chew gum. (I'm super pissed off right now) We go back and wait in line again, this whole process took 20 minutes. We ordered our food, my husband gave them a tip they did NOT deserve. Tipping is a thank you for good service which we did not get. They said it'd take 30 minutes. Fine we'll wait. It took an hour and for 5 minutes to get a to go order which was the same amount of time to wait for a table. I don't think all of it was the hostesses fault, but she didn't help. I like their food but not attitude, will not be back and for the amount you pay them, AT LEAST the service should be mediocre not the crud show that it was.

Yelp
I love their weekend brunch menu. Too bad they only have it on the weekend! I wish they had it everyday! Great price & service. I always get the breakfast burrito. This time I ask for the sauced on the side, which I think is a smart decision. Tastes better than the wet burrito. Omelette is smooth, nice and fluffy with lots of cheese inside. Both dishes are super filling. We only ate one meal that day lol. Wait can be long. I recommend to make a reservation online beforehand.

Yelp
Me and the wife came in for the first time last night. We waited a little but it was a busy Friday night. Our server G was awesome she walked us through the menu and answered all of our questions! Food was delicious, service was great, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Walked in today at 7:30p into the bar area sat at the high table. Server (blonde girl with dreads) walked past us several times even serviced two tables who came in after us. A male server walked by and gave us menus but still not acknowledged by our own server. After her last walk by we left. So disappointed

Yelp
It's Cheesecake Factory so you know. Giant portions and a menu that covers everything from deep fried cauliflower to steak and shrimp. Location is almost always busy so make a reservation for busy times. Service is usually good and the meal will almost always meet expectations.
