I’ve always loved Cheesecake Factory. This Tukwila spot is extra special to me because I actually helped open it back in the day. It was honestly the best company I’ve ever worked for — I loved the energy, the culture, the people — and I still carry good memories from that time.
To this day, it’s still one of my go-to places when I can’t decide what to eat. The menu is huge, so there’s always something for everyone, which is nice when you’ve got friends or family with different diets or allergies. My personal favorite is the tropical iced tea — it has this floral smell that just feels so refreshing — and of course, the cheesecake. I’m still sad they took my favorite one off the menu, though.
The staff here usually bring such good energy, and that makes a difference. Last night, Austin was our server — super positive and friendly — and I even got to see Jen behind the bar again, which was nice.
If I’m being real, the only downside is that the food quality can be hit or miss. Some days everything is spot on, other times it feels rushed. Like, my friend’s steak came out really burnt (even though she asked for well done, it shouldn’t taste charred), or when I ask for extra sauce, sometimes it’s hot like it should be and other times it’s just a cold glob on the side.
Even with that, I’ll always have a soft spot for this place. It brings back memories, it’s always a fun spot to eat, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.
