"After nine years supplying a wide selection of dairy products to the area, the Cheesemonger’s Table in Edmonds announced it will close for good April 1. The deli and cafe had been a popular neighborhood spot to grab sandwiches, soups, cheeses, and charcuterie, with items such as Rogue River Blue cheese wrapped in pear brandy-soaked grape leaves. The owners said other career obligations were the main reason for the closure, but there may soon be another business taking its place. The business posted a statement on Facebook that said it’s “excited to soon announce a collaborative project that will introduce Edmonds to its newest wine bar.”" - Gabe Guarente

Good selection of cheeses. Good knowledgeable and fun staff. Some of their sandwiches are absolutely fantastic. I tried a smoked blue cheese made in Oregon and it blew my mind.

If you're a cheese lover, fanatic or someone who enjoys the taste or grab a bit at the deli they have here then you should scoot your butt in here. Being greeted to put a smile on your face. You can even try out the cheese before you buy. Dog friendly as well however most dog owners just hang out outside. During the summer there's usually live music and the prices are just right. The food here is amazing, my go to is the Chicken Club and as well grabbing a slice of Black & Blue.

Google
I got the chicken club... fantastic! Quality food that you can actually taste. Little pricy at 17$ with a tip and iced tea but hey... great food! Also - popcorn is an odd side that is apparently their signature.

This Restaurant never disappoints! Delicious, fresh food and friendly staff. We enjoyed our sandwiches outside on the deck while listening to the live summer concert performance.

Google
The Holy Mole was pretty commercial. Some mole infused meat, cheese and olive oil a bun. Served with popcorn. Way too expensive for what it was. I don’t recommend it and won’t go again.

Casey Kilareski

Google
Large portions, friendly service and delicious breads and cheeses. Chicken club was perfect.

Fantastic! Went with the family for lunch to celebrate my dad's birthday. We all had sandwiches, which were amazing. Got one cookie to share and then went back for three more. Helpful and friendly staff. Casual place good for all ages. I can't wait to go back!

No fruit on the cheese plate but otherwise I liked it. We were able to sit at a small table outside with our dog.

Yelp
I remember when this place was originally The Cheesemongers Table and I'm happy to say that it retains a lot of the charm of the previous business! It still has a great retail area of wine, chocolate, and other goodies you can look over while you wait for a table. The wait is actually not too long even on busy days relative to the size. Very cozy and intimate for a date but in the early afternoon you could come with friends and not have an awkward time. I went with my husband and some friends after that Edmonds Art walk and in 10 minutes we were seated. They offer wine flights as well as a wide range of single pours. The staff was beyond friendly and ready to answer pairing questions- I was even offered a taste of the two I was torn between to decide! The food is just as rich and delicious. I had the Mac and cheese and my husband and a friend had the grilled cheese and soup. Our other friend had the burrata dish and we all raved about our meals. The portions were good but they aren't huge so be prepared to share an appetizer if you're really hungry. I can't say enough good things about Vinbero and they fit in great with the downtown Edmonds neighborhood.

Yelp
My fiancé and I went here for their Valentine's Day menu and wine pairing. This food was art. The flavors and presentation of each dish were all so unique. Special shoutout to the short rib that was so flavorful and melted in your mouth. I also don't drink and the chef was nice enough to pair each of my dishes with delicious non alcoholic drinks. Everyone was so nice and the service was great. We will definitely be back for their regular menu!

Muriel K.

Yelp
Service was fantastic, great wine btg list, love the Caesar &, of course, the grilled cheese!!

Kathie s.

Yelp
What a hidden treasure! I came here to celebrate my birthday during happy hour and it was so wonderful. The wine list had many choices and the food was great. They also offer beer and cocktails. I really appreciated all the options on the menu that could be done vegetarian or even vegan and also Gluten Free. This place has class and thinks of everyone's needs! The customer service was amazing and they checked in just the right amount. The ambiance in the wine shop was perfect with both indoor and outdoor seating and great music playing at the perfect volume. Don't miss this gem when visiting Edmonds! I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Vinbero is one of Edmonds secret gems. Their food is well executed and delicious, they have a great selection of wine, and the ambiance is warm and inviting with candle lined walls and artistic touches. A must try!

Scott A.

Yelp
Stopped in with the wife for a charcuterie plate and a glass of wine. Their oven was down so we got a little lucky we were only there to munch. The space has been nicely renovated since it was Cheesemongers. Downtown Edmonds, so have fun parking. Full bar with a nice wine list. Small outdoor seating for nice weather and you can eat in the adjacent city park area. Cannot take alcohol there, though. The server was a big fella who was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Really enjoyed lunch at Vinbero! I had the mac and cheese, cobb salad, and a bloody Mary. Was too full to try the popcorn but it was being freshly popped, smelled so good, and I was tempted. Will definitely be back to try more things!

Jim M.

Yelp
They had quite a selection of drinks, many creative options. Small friendly atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff with many ideas/suggestions on the drinks.

Katya G.

Yelp
A hidden gem! We dropped in for lunch and were seated immediately. Service was great- very attentive, lots of personalized recommendations. Really inventive cocktails, including one "bespoke" cognac/amaro/spritz type drink the bartender made up for us. We ordered a couple of "small plates" (the butternut squash risotto and the burrata salad) while we considered main dish options, but they were so large we didn't need any other food! (See picture). Now we need to go back hungry so we can try more dishes!

Sarah C.

Yelp
I met a friend for lunch here today and it's a really cozy restaurant! We came on a weekday so it wasn't very busy but street parking was still a bit hard to find at 11am. We both ordered the Vinbero club (toasted!) and it comes with a side of popcorn. We both really enjoyed the sandwich and service was quick and super friendly! Will definitely come back again!

Jenny L.

Yelp
Best Cobb salad I've ever had. Sandwiches were awesome as well, and the servers were really nice.

Yelp
In short: A fantastic, laid-back wine bar with an ambitious kitchen. In long: There are a couple of courtyard clusters of businesses along 5th near the fountain circle. This one has outdoor seating and a tall water feature that I hesitate to call another fountain. Vinbero sits at the Maple St end of the courtyard, with maybe 8-10 tables inside and a little more seating outside. It all opens up pretty well in nice weather to let fresh air flow through. You get 4 menus here--all the wines, all the foods, some cocktails, some specials. We intended only to have a couple glasses of wine but couldn't resist adding food to the table. The staff are super friendly, nice kids who know their stuff inside and out. This is a pretty geeky wine bar, and even though there might be little kids coloring at some of the tables, the kitchen is not messing around at all. We ordered the mushroom toast, which absolutely delivered. Chewy medium-dark bread with tons of seasoning flavors, Andre Triple Cream, and a few shiitakes, all under microgreens. Everything works really well together. There's a bottle of Ballyhoo Garlic Ghost Pepper sauce on the table, and, well, don't tell the kitchen, but I tuned up two bites of the toast with it and it was fantastic. The wines are the namesake here, and for good reason. Lots of natural wines, quite a few orange ones. PNW bottles, some CA, an Australian, and quite a few western European selections. They divide them into red, white, rose/orange, sparkling, and rare. The rare glasses we tried were pretty good. We might not be quite geeky enough to appreciate what was there, but for our money the better values were with the regular PNW and EU offerings. We had an Oregon white blend that was out of this world, as was the Spanish white blend, and an Italian sparkling rose that was equally good. The rare champagne was excellent, just spendy. As far as orange wines go, I tend to find them a bit under-flavored, but people flip over them so I am happy to take a seat in a tasting room like this that has a lot of 'em. The decor here is clean, modern, and unobtrusive. You focus on the food, drink, and company, as we all should. We'll be back many times.

Yelp
The sandwiches were amazing and a fun twist of flavor. Great service and got our food promptly. Came in on a Thursday around noon and was pretty quiet. Would definitely come back! Always love a good sandwich spot for lunch!

Andrew H.

Yelp
Had a latish (for Edmonds) date here last night. Very cute place, larger inside than it looks from out. Our sever was great: helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the wines. We ordered a bottle of one, and she said "well, this one is a little different, let me get you a taste first." She ended up giving us tastes of 3 and we picked one (not the original one) and it was a lovely dry white. We weren't starving, and she recommended splitting the Vinbero Club sandwich and it was the perfect size. Came on a great roll, all the ingredients tasted fresh, and it comes with popcorn! Who knew. There are a LOT of good choices downtown Edmonds now, and this is one of them.

A C.

Yelp
Been here twice already! My mother and I think that this place has the best grilled cheese sandwich & tomato soup we have ever had in our lives haha. No joke. I went back just for that alone! Super cute place. Most excellent customer service--very friendly, attentive, and knowledge staff! Will definitely be back and try other things too!

J R.

Yelp
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Food is 10/10. Happy hour all day Tuesdays and dog friendly patio. Will be back

Edward S.

Yelp
Vinbero is a great wine bar and restaurant in Edmonds. It looks new, but feels very comfortable and inviting. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. We went there for wine, but ended up getting the cheese charcuterie plated. I had a couple of glasses of red at the recommendation of the server. Both were excellent. My friend had a glass of white she also loved. The cheese plate was outstanding. Each of the cheeses were excellent and we both really enjoyed the crostini and everything that went with it. We will definitely be back and plan to have more of the food.

Kaylan H.

Yelp
Catering Review I recently ordered back-to-back days for off-site catering events. First, the ordering experience was a breeze thanks to the clear and timely communication from Kali. The charcuterie boards were bountiful and presented beautifully, they even thoughtfully included labels so everyone knew what they were enjoying! The tres leches was a crowd favorite! Hats off to the curator. The variety of gourmet sandwiches and house baked chocolate chip rye cookies were devoured! You can see and taste both the love and quality in each bite. My guests were delighted so I wanted to pass along my extreme gratitude for making me feel like the hostess with the mostest. Can't wait to visit Vinbero in person since I have heard nothing but great things about the food, wine, and atmosphere.

Molly I.

Yelp
Wonderful experience at Vinbero. Wandered in after a disappointing situation occurred at a nearby restaurant. It was our first time here and I honestly didn't have particularly high expectations, however - the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the food was delicious and decadent (the mushroom mojo melt and the salad were particularly fabulous), and I had an exceptional glass of orange wine (which I was delighted to find on the menu - as it's not such a menu staple yet.) Decidedly an under appreciated Edmonds great. See you again soon, Vinbero!

Philip S.

Yelp
Wonderful wine bar/restaurant! I ended up ordering their Reuben with a side Kale Caesar Salad. The crunchiness of the bread was perfect and the flavors of the corn beef was great! I highly recommend this spot! I'll have to come back and try their wines.

Allison D.

Yelp
Good food, great service, cozy ambience. Thoughtfully split our two shared sandwiches for us when we mentioned we were sharing.

Staci F.

Yelp
Stopped by before dinner reservations and so glad we tried this place out! Cozy little restaurant with limited seating but we didn't have to wait for a table. I had their red blend and my friend had their non-alcoholic honey sparking drink. Both were delicious and the honey sparkling drink was from a local company. For bites we had the flatbread and the chèvre & red pepper tartare. Would definitely recommend both items! None of us are vegetarian but the red pepper tartare was so good and paired great with the wine. The fig jam on the flatbread is what was the best part of that dish.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Best choice for first glass of wine with my oldest! And, kid and dog friendly patio seating too. Delicious selection of wines, scrumptious food. My 6 year old had a grilled cheese with BACON, and they served it with the most perfect slices of summer nectarine anyone could imagine. Hubby ordered club, came with yummy truffle popcorn. I ordered salad, which was delicious and beautiful. The girls' smiles say it all.

Miss E.

Yelp
Great service, food, ambiance and wine! Had a simple GF grilled cheese and tomato soup... perfect for cold winter lunch. Our server ( apologies on not catching her name) was lovely!

Kimberly F.

Yelp
We love this spot for any meal, although for most folks the food menu is probably more satisfying for lunch than for dinner. Our favorite, however, is brunch! We definitely think it's a slept-on brunch spot, probably because people don't really think of a wine bar as a place to go for breakfast food. They have some delicious offerings, though, with a more thoughtful "foodie" lean to the menu -- we prefer theirs to any other brunch places in the neighborhood. The shakshouka, eggs benedict, hash, and avocado toast have all been great. Friendly service, cozy vibes, and of course a great place to pick up a bottle of wine to take home after your meal.

Marie S.

Yelp
This was my 2nd visit. I want to love this place but they make it hard. The staff doesn't seem happy working there ... kinda sad vibe. If you're gonna charge 18.00 for sandwich and soup it's gotta be amazing. The tomato soup needs cream ... it's flavorful - but too acidic. The grilled cheese should be crispy/grilled not just melted butter on bread. Came in wanting a great soup and sandwich and left feeling disappointed - similar to my first visit. I have a hard time recommending.

Bryan K.

Yelp
Amazing salads. Great vibe as a "neighborhood spot" with nice local spirits and wonderfully interesting wines. Super friendly!

Barry P.

Yelp
An incredible wine bar from the people that brought you Kelnero. Intimate setting, great service and amazing wines and food.

Catherine B.

Yelp
Sandwiches were delicious - I had the club and my kids had the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Our server was very friendly and recommended a perfect wine pairing. Would definitely return.

Tom S.

Yelp
Vinbero is the real deal. Great food, ambiance wine and now cocktails. The service was fast and friendly. We always have a great time at Vinbero.

Mahra C.

Yelp
Kris and Kali have set up such a great space here! The food and wine selection is always changing so there's tons of variety. I've been in the wine club and love getting the curated selections. The staff they employ are friendly and always eager to offer help or suggestions when picking up food/wine. Glad they are part of our community. And their indoor chairs are super comfy!

Dawn E.

Yelp
Visited Vinbero from a suggestion at a Gin pairing event. The chef made me a wonderful chicken club sandwich. Heaven! That balsamic drizzle was divine. The Cheese guru was in the house and I purchased a couple of cheeses. An absolute must for a quick sandwich and glass of wine. Small with a "invited feeling", great evening

Eric A.

Yelp
Vinbero continues to iterate on an already great lineup. Their menu is fabulous and it's one of my fave lunch spots to drop in on. Great wine selections. A super cute outdoor area facing the walkable Edmonds. All around fantastic stop in Edmonds.

Mei Y.

Yelp
Honestly servers were very nice and attentive. However, there were a few things that were weird. I saw the picture of Shakshouka on the website and I thought, great, I'm going to get that. The bowl was 1/2 of the size of the picture. I was still hungry after the meal. My boyfriend's mushroom melt came with popcorn, seriously? What's the nutritional value of popcorn?? Would it be better if it's like salad? I felt like this place is more for wine than food. Next time I'll get more hearty meals on Main Street.

Alex J.

Yelp
And on top of everything else, they remove reviews. My review of this place that got at least 2 reaction was promptly removed by Yelp I am sure at the request of this place.

Paisley T.

Yelp
Disappointed. Stopped here for lunch and it was subpar. My sandwich was dry dry dry. I think they just barely moistened the bread with mayo and avocado spread. It was basically a bready roll with some fixings. For the same price you can go to any other spot and they will include a side accompaniment like salad or chips. The popcorn served with the sandwich costs next to nothing for the restaurant. In other words, this is not a good value. For the sticker shock and the fancy menu I expected better. The service was great and they refilled my water continuously which was great. You know, cuz the dry sandwich was killing me.

Odulami B.

Yelp
We made a reservation for lunch (having a larger party) recently as the restaurant was highly recommended. The indoor area has a fair amount of space but larger parties may want to call ahead. We started with a bowl of their trademark popcorn while deciding on our options. The Bahn mi was a table favorite paired with the kale salad. The soup of the day was a tomato bisque which was very flavorful. One of th vegetarian options (a mushroom grilled Sandwich) received high marks from our party. While the food was good, the staff and ambiance are first class. I look forward to sampling a few of their recommended wines in the near future.

David B.

Yelp
When this place goes out of business it will NOT be because of the location, the wine, the ambience, or the service. It will be purely because of the horrible food.

Erik T.

Yelp
Vinbero is a small wine bar/cafe right off of the Main Street in downtown Edmonds. It has indoor and outdoor seating with the small prep kitchen right behind the counter. It's got a great intimate and welcoming feel to it. The menu is not extensive but there is a bit of variety...charcuterie, salads, sandwiches, soups, desserts and , of course, wine. I stopped in for a sandwich to go (the Grinder). It was an excellent tasting sandwich and the flavor combination worked really well. The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact that the amount of meat in the sandwich was quite slim. If you look at the pictures from other folks on Yelp, those sandwiches appear to be stacked high. This one, sadly, was not and the bread to meat ratio was a bit off. That said, the sandwich was very tasty. I'll be stopping by again as I'd like to try some of the other sandwiches as well.

Sarah M.

Yelp
Love this new spot from the owners of Kelnero! So happy they were able to reimagine the Cheesemonger's Table. Went to their soft opening and am loving it so far! Decent selection of wines by the glass, they should expand this as they get their bearings. The sandwiches are on point though! Love that they offer gluten free bread as an option for most sandwiches. My chicken club (without the cheese) was delicious! I love that each sandwich comes with a side of their delicious salt & pepper popcorn. My parents loved their Pretzel Reuben. Will definitely be back for sure. Looking forward to when they are able to expand their hours and introduce their charcuterie boards!

Shay S.

Yelp
Horrible customer service. Wont go back ever or recommend anymore. Outside chairs are metal and cold and uncomfortable. They wouldnt let us change them out for the inside chairs even though it was sunny out, a covered patio AND they were super rude about it. We had a dog and so we ended up at Salt and Iron, where they served us outside, lit the the heaters, AND brought the dog milkbones and a water bowl. Salt and Iron was awesome and delicious. Wont ever go back to Vinbero.

Christine L.

Yelp
Vinbero is a wonderful local establishment. It's cozy, with welcoming and knowledgeable people who aren't pushy. There are unique and fun sauces and other food items to purchase as gifts or for at-home treats. The food they serve on-site or to-go is truly fantastic--some of the best sandwiches and salads you can find anywhere, plus great wine pours and tastings to enjoy. In a town with a lot of really special and enjoyable options, Vinbero is a favorite.

Mat D.

Yelp
I just want to say if you don't try this place, you're missing something. Open your mind and enjoy the food. I was so surprised by this place five bistro blackbird, and a few other restaurants look at this place is coming.

Ashley K.

Yelp
Vinbero was fantastic, and I'm excited to go back. I went with a few friends so we could split and enjoy a few sandwiches and wines. A couple in our party were vegetarians, one hates the taste of cilantro, and I'm allergic to avocado, so we threw them a bit of a curveball, but everything was great and accommodated for. First, the wine: so good. Really enjoy their wide selection and varieties from all over. They had something for everyone, and our server clearly knew their way around the wine menu. Very helpful and enjoyable. There wasn't a single option we weren't raving about. I think we tried a couple of the orange wines and whites, all perfectly chilled. The sandwiches were absolutely amazing, but before we even got to those, we enjoyed the heck out of the salads. They're huge and so full of nice zesty flavors and seasoning. Definitely one of the most exciting salads I've had out before. And since we were splitting up our orders among us, they went through the trouble of dividing the salads. So kind. The French Onion was great. Can't go wrong with that combo of gooey cheese and onions. Paired nicely with the wine, too. The caprese was substantial. Some restaurants skimp on that one, but not here. The real crowd pleaser (which I had sans avocado) though was the Mojo Mushroom Melt. I could eat that every day. That orangey sauce with the earthy shrooms... so good. We'll be back!

Kristy S.

Yelp
We love Vinbero and come here frequently! The food and beverages are amazing. Unfortunately, we had a server who was not friendly and had attitude the minute we walked in. She was rude throughout our entire service. We have been fortunate to have other servers who have been consistently friendly and made our experience wonderful in the past. I don't like leaving these kinds of reviews but it's important for the owners to know when someone on their waitstaff make it a poor experience for a regular and loyal customer.

Betty V.

Yelp
First time having dinner at Vinbero last night. The service was exceptional. Our server Aimee was knowledgeable about the wines, and when we expressed preference for red, she recommended several, and we ended up with a delicious bottle of Tempranillo with dinner. Our server also recommended several menu items that were simply the best. The club sandwich, served hot, was the best club I've ever eaten. The in house roasted chicken and some sort of balsamic glaze made it so juicy and delicious, and the salad with green goddess dressing was simply perfect. The ambience was cozy and lovely on a winter night , with the candle light and wood wall art. We will be back!

Emma B.

Yelp
Great gluten-free options! I have celiac disease and Vinbero staff was very accommodating. I had the Chicken Club and it was fantastic!! (and didn't get sick!). They even gave me two full sandwiches because gluten-free bread always comes in such small slices! They serve sandwiches with a side of popcorn which is fun and unique. My friend got a grilled cheese and tomato soup and said it was fantastic as well. We will definitely be back and will recommend to others!

Justin B.

Yelp
The sandwiches here are amazing and I love how they source local food staples whenever they can. This is the ruben sandwich, sorry I took the picture after eating half of it. The bread was nice and crispy but the star of the show was the pastrami. Oh, my goodness. It was loaded and it had such a great flavor that I could not stop eating it. You need to get this sandwich. The only change I might make is change out the ruben sauce for mustard, but I will be back for another. I also love their bahn mi sandwich. I did not get it this time but I honestly don't know which one i like better.

Lisa G.

Yelp
Six words, "served with a side of popcorn". You really don't need to know anything else but if you think you do here goes... The Cobb salad is solid and packed, no skimping on anything. I asked to sub in parmigiano due to an allergy and it was high quality, legit Italian cheese. The club was well made with thin sliced chicken, bacon, balsamic and came with the all important popcorn. Delicious food, generous portions, high quality ingredients and friendly, knowledgeable service. Definitely coming back.
