I love this place all the variety of plates are really good we ordered the 3 taquitos dorados and for dessert canela Nachos with ice cream and oh my God are really really god. Angela has and excelente customer service she recommended us this dessert thanks Angela for been nice and make our day better with your attentions. God Bless you! And guys don’t forget the cucumber agua Fresca is really good 😊.

Chicken Koop is a nice spot with a great atmosphere. The food is definitely delicious, the chicken is flavorful and well-cooked. However, I do feel like the portion size for what you pay is a bit small. I ordered the 1/4 dark meat chicken plate, which came with one side, a tortilla, and a bottle of Coke. For the price, I expected a little more. It feels a bit overpriced considering the serving size. Overall, it's a good place if you're craving tasty chicken, but just know you might leave wanting a little more for what you pay.

**Disappointing Experience with Manager Ricardo!** I was really looking forward to dining at this location, especially since it was on my bucket list! The ambiance was welcoming, and our waitress, Angela, was fantastic and attentive, helping us with our orders. I enjoyed a delicious watermelon margarita, and my friend found her cucumber Fresca refreshing. The popcorn chicken appetizer was perfectly fried and seasoned, setting high expectations for our main courses. However, both of us were disappointed with our entrees. My rotisserie chicken was served cold, and overall, the food lacked flavor. During our meal, Angela took a 30-minute lunch break, and another staff member took over. When I tried to address the issue with a staff member named Ricardo, his response was dismissive and rude. He implied I took too long to report the cold food, and criticized me for having touched it to check the temperature, suggesting he needed to order me new food as a result. It’s disheartening because we anticipated a wonderful experience. Despite the promising start, the lack of attention to food quality and poor customer service left us feeling let down. Insulated find out that Ricardo is one of the managers at this location I was very disappointed as management he lacks customer service experience and the knowledge of how to communicate properly and respectful with customers. Please get him some training

My wife and i really like this place, the service is usually really good, the portions are generous and we are always satisfied. We usually split a pozole and chicken salad bowl but unfortunately the last time we ate here it was disappointing. We ordered it for take out and the salad had not one but two chicken bones. In fact one of them was really big and I almost bit right into it. We will continue to eat here for the time being, I just hope this was an isolated mistake and not a trend.

We celebrated a double birthday and had quite a large party 20+. The manager, Ricardo was very accommodating and present during our visit. We had the best server, Angela. She was quick, courteous and patient. She has the best attitude for handling a large group. She deserved and earned her tip. Now, for the food, it was my first time and I can sincerely say that I'll be back. Food was delicious and portions were generous. I had the Garlic Chicken plate! 😘

I’ve gone to this restaurant a couple of times, and both times my server was Joann and she was very sweet. She has a great bubbly vibe and checked up on me and my dad very consistently. Recently, the manager and some workers sung Happy Birthday for me and it was a great memory. Overall, every meal I’ve had has been perfectly cooked and tasted really good! 10/10 will be going again.

Customer service is awesome, very friendly staff. Service is quick and helpful. It was our first time here, food was pretty good. Fries are amazing, we had both garlic and regular, I loved the regular. Chicken was tasty, they have a variety of dipping sauce's. The atmosphere is really comforting but cozy with a hint of up to date with plenty of TV's.

Nice place to eat at,I had the chicken wings and they were awesome,and our waitress Isabella was very helpful,so if you go there see if you can have her wait on you,you'll be happy you did!!!!

I first visited The Chicken Koop in Alhambra and had a great experience. I decided to meet up with a friend at this location, and it was just as delicious. It was super busy for a Thursday around lunchtime, but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, which wasn't bad. The service was great as well. Here's what we ordered: - Chicken wrap - Chicken tenders - The Koop chicken salad Everything was really, really good. If you're ever craving chicken, this is definitely the place to come. There are so many options, and I've yet to be disappointed with anything I've ordered.

Chicken all day. This spot was super busy on a Sunday afternoon. They even have a brunch menus on the weekend. If you love chicken then this is your jam. They have roasted chicken plates, fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, wraps, tacos, salads, pozole, etc. We were a table of 8 and ordered hella food, but our server was quick and informative. They have some good mojitos and even some cocktail pitchers to share! The poutine and garlic fries are very tasty. I also really like their salsas- they all have great flavor and kick. The green creamy salsa and habanero salsa are BOMB. The chicken sandwiches come with a Hawaiian roll so the bun is super soft. The chicken taco sampler was a hit- one fish style chicken, one Al pastor style chicken, one chicken tinga, and one roasted chicken. The best were the "fish style" the batter on the chicken was light and the Al pastor style. Very chill spot and food came out quick. Would def come back! Open some more locations please and thank you.

First timer here :) First off our waiter was 10/10 very sweet and polite. He did an amazing job at handling all the tables. Inside is not very large but there is also an outside seating area that is also super cute. There were so many options to choose from and my grandma and I came ready to eat lol We both ordered the grilled chicken sandwich sweet and sour style, boy that was full of flavor and packed a punch. The sweet potato fries were delicious as well. We wanted to try some sides so I ordered the Brussel sprouts and Mac and cheese sadly they weren't as exciting as the sandwich and fries and lacked in flavor. The cucumber mint agua fresca was fresh and refreshing but a bit too sweet for me I was expecting something lighter if that makes sense. Overall I would definitely come again to try other options because my main meal was extremely satisfying!

The flavors were vibrant and the spice was pronounced. The waitress mentioned it was a seven, but I would definitely rate it an eight for the sweet and spicy popcorn chicken. The pickles balanced the spice nicely. The service was great, and everything was clean inside with ample parking available. However, I personally wouldn't go again because it was a bit too greasy for my taste. It might be great for a late-night outing after drinking tho!!!!

I wish I had a picture of my food but I ate it all before I could take a picture! Lol my party ordered the crispy chicken wrap with a Caesar salad on the side. Chicken and waffles. Cauliflower bites. Popcorn chicken and it was all so fresh and delicious. Our waitress was Angela and she was so kind and helpful to us. She took the time to explain each item on the menu in detail and with clarity! She had a an impressive knowledge about the menu and her personable skills were top tier. I was impressed and appreciative of her service throughout the meal. I am definitely going to recommend Angela as our waitress again for our next visit to the chicken Koop! Thank you Angela!

My Mom and I stopped in randomly after shopping and were glad we did! It's a cute place and the food was very tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and I love that they have lots of dipping sauces. Their customer service is on point. Everyone was super nice and attentive and I feel like that's getting rare these days. Will definitely be back!

This place was bomb from being greeted at the door, we were seated by a young girl who said she was in training, and let me tell you she was a complete delight. We were the first ones to sit on a Thursday afternoon and it was pretty empty, but that quickly changed as time passed. You can tell by the food and the service they get super busy. We ordered the chicken tenders, the garlic chicken plate and the Belly buster chicken sandwich. And a side of brussels sprouts. Not usually my cup of tea but wow! It was so flavorful. Got the 4/10 spice level. And it was the perfect match. The garlic fries were to die for. The brussels sprouts needed a little more salt or a sauce for my taste. But they were cooked to perfection. Guarantee this is a place on our top 10. Absolutely delicious great service great ambience.

We have never been here on a busy Friday evening and today was the busiest we've seen. We opted to sit outdoors since inside was crowded, too loud and warm. Our server was Angela and she was outstanding! She was very attentive, kind, and offered great suggestions. We've always received great customer service but today had to be the best. Food was great! We ordered the mini loaded nachos, chicken taquitos, and chicken sandwich. You can never go wrong with the hibiscus and cucumber water.

Very friendly staff. Nice casual spot for yummy chicken dishes! A cup of aguas frescas: Jamaica, bottle of mango cart, mango mojito (YUM!), fried cauliflower, shawarma plate, Canadian plate, small side of macaroni and cheese and a deep fried Oreo dessert was about $100, portions are generous and we had leftovers for lunch the next day! Everything tasted great! The dipping sauces are fantastic! I LOVED the green sauce, and Chipotle sauce. The ginger garlic was like the Chinese sauce for Hainan chicken. The garlic spread was ok and the dipping sauce that came with the cauliflower was bland compared to the other sauces. Would return if we're in the area.

Angela was the BEST server!!! So so sweet and attentive. Amazing costumer service!!! The food was delicious.

Parking: there is a large parking lot outside the restaurant. There's usually a bit of street parking as well Service: the cashier (possibly the owner) told us it would be a few minutes to seat us. And we waited over 30 min to be seated. She kept saying the table is almost ready. And she should have just said it's about a 20 minute wait so we would have been prepared to wait. She apologized for the wait once seated but I don't think lying about the wait time is okay. Food: the food was actually pretty good. Good portion sizes. But they do charge for sauces. The server said the first sauce is free and then they charge for every sauce after. When my friend asked for one they said it would be a charge. So it's one free sauce per table not per entree. Ambience: the restaurant is pretty busy but it's looks nice inside.

Loaded Nachos: I love nachos so much so I definitely loved this plate! The only downside was that the chips kept breaking, but it was still delicious. The nacho cheese was soo good as well! The Canadian Style Plate: The chicken was sooooo flavorful!!! In my opinion, it's so hard for people to make flavorful chicken without drying it out, so I genuinely enjoyed it. The poutine fries on the side were okay! Service: They will check on you often and have the most positive attitude! I've been to so many restaurants where the employees are so grumpy that it really stands out when I'd see workers be in a great mood Ambiance: It's alright! Small restaurant with an outdoor dining. I love how there's a lot to chicken or rooster artwork on the wall Parking: there is PLENTY of parking so don't you worry. No matter how busy this restaurant gets, I'm sure you'll find a spot

Yelped a close location to eat with a friend after exiting the YMCA with her. We always have very limited time with each other. The Chicken Koop came up and it has just opened for the day. We were not that hungry however, most definitely wanted to try and taste a few thing's on their menu. We ordered taquitos de papa those were crunchy and so fresh, garlic cheese fries were delicious the sauce on those fries had allot of flavor. The staff and atmosphere of the business was very relaxed a bit on the dark side.

Great spot in Whittier, the have a great variety of different foods. They have a great happy hour special on Sunday's during brunch hours.

On december 1st, my partner and I have a tradition to try different foods. While we have tried these items from different restaurants, this year we wanted to try this place because we had seen videos of it and it looked amazing. Sad to say, it did not live up to the bill. The service was great, no doubting that and the restaurant did have loads of seating for their guests, however our food wasn't too our liking. The chicken in the sandwich was dry and rubbery and unfortunately did not taste how we expected fried chicken to taste. The chicken on the poutine also didn't have too much flavor and we ended up not being able to finish anything. Maybe it was the items we ordered that were not the best, but we still had high hopes as it is a chicken place!! The only good thing was their house ranch and garlic fries, which I'm glad we ordered that because that was the majority of what we wanted to eat. I'm unsure if we will come again, but I hope they can redeem themselves someday. As for now we will settle with our usual chicken spots.

The food was absolutely delicious. Flavorful and portions were just right. Had the hibiscus margarita and that was just delicious. The chicken plate is just chicken You need to order your sides Waffles and fried chicken were delicious as well. Definable coming back Our service from Angela was great!

I had high expectations and this was a bit underwhelming. It will probably be a one and done since it isn't in our neighborhood. The decor was cool but didn't really care for the music or loud volume. More importantly the food was kinda bland and overpriced.

Food: The food was okay... I did like the flavor of the things that we ordered, but the chicken in my opinion was dry. We ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich and the small Poutine, the serving size was amazing! I just wish the chicken tasted fresh! But, I am willing to try it another time and their other items on their menu! Service: The service was splendid! Our server was very nice and he actual gave me a sample of fruit punch. I wanted to try it because some fruit punch for me it too sweet. The server also made sure of everything was perfect. Ambiance: There are PLENTY of seating; some inside and some outside. Once you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by their takeout area. I like how they have a take out area where people can easily order things to go. You can also dine in where a server will take your order.

Service was amazing. Miguel was great. He's very passionate and I'm with it. Ambiance is cool fresh and not too loud. The food is delicious as always. The esquire was new to me. Not my thing but it Wasn't bad. It was tasty. The chicken and waffles are delicious. The wrap was also delicious. Super cool Spot. Always greeted by amazing energy.

I hate to do it.... The food is so good. Usually soooo worth the wait... But... TWICE.... We've ordered on Uber eats, go to pick up and the front counter doesn't know what is going on. They tell us our food isn't here.... Isn't ready.... They don't know what's going on.... Etc... So we wait... wait... wait... First time they had to remake it bc they gave it away on accident. 2nd time it was SITTING ON THE COUNTER THE WHOLE TIME. No apology. No offer to correct it. Couldn't even call the line bc it went to a busy tone. Called a different location to try and get ahold of someone to help... even they couldn't get ahold of the manager on shift. Got our cold food. Left & as much as I LOVE their chicken sandwiches, we don't plan on going back. Not worth it. Unless they hire people that can read the names on the receipts.... ‍

Amazing chicken restaurant in Whittier. Only been here a few times so far but everything is always delicious. Angela was always our server from the couple times we've been here and she always displays excellent service. She's very warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. This place is a 10/10 and I'll always recommend here to people visiting Whittier for lunch. Thanks so much!!

Food: 5* Service: 5* Ambience: 4* Location: 4* Had dinner with some friends. We had some he jamaica margarita pitcher (5*), the Poutine (5*), and the garlic chicken plate (5*). The margarita was tasty, strong and a good value. The poutine was fantastic the only drawback is that you cannot get other meat on top other than chick. While I appreciate this is a chicken joint, they have many other choices I would also like to try. Also, that particular chicken was dry, so is suspect if was breast meat and leftover. The garlic chicken was fantastic, the rice soaked up all the flavor too. Delicious! I plan to return.

We waited about 30 mins to be seated You give them your phone number and they will call you when a table is ready The ambiance was cool and chill. Loud music but not that loud where you can't here the waiter or your partner. They have the tv on with sports. The food was amazing and full of flavor. Every bite was amazing. The chicken tenders were extremely spicy so beware. My husband and I shared and still had leftovers. Our total was $70 for everything.

What's up: The coworkers and I were meeting up to catch up and what better way to do that than to hit up a place with Happy Hour!? The Chicken Koop has Happy Hour all day from Monday thru Thursday, plus lunch and weekly specials! Parking: Large public parking lot right next to the restaurant. There is also street parking nearby available as well. Environment: They have an outdoor patio area available which was sectioned off to be self-served. At the entrance, there's a sign that says all members of the party must be present before being seated and there's a limit of 90 minutes at the table (they were flexible with the seating time since it wasn't too busy). When you enter the building, you'll see the order counter. We had a short wait before we were shown to our table. Marissa took care of us and came by often to check up on how we were doing. Menus can be accessed via the QR code sticker on the table (I had slow signal so it took forever for mines to load; should have jumped on their free Wi-Fi!). The drinks came first and shortly after, the food came! Noise level was not too bad; they had TVs on the wall as well. Restrooms are located towards rear exit, in the back. What was ordered: - Loaded Nachos sub Al Pastor (yummy; good mix of everything) - Chicken Tinga Empanadas (huge and flavorful) - Fried Chicken Sliders (crispy with a kick) - Hibiscus Margarita Pitcher (good) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. This place was awesome. Good food, drinks, and friendly staff. Loved the nachos and empanadas. Credit cards are accepted.

I don't write reviews often, but this place is so AMAZING that I had to do it. Much recommended for anyone who loves good customer service, cleanliness, great food and atmosphere. It was my first dine-in here with my siblings, and Angela was our server. Not only she explained the menu thoroughly, but also gave us recommendations and made sure we liked what we got. Then comes the boss Regina and guess what?! She is the nicest, most welcoming lady I've met in my life, treating us like family. I just LOVE this place. Thank you all for the great service!

Second time ordering the chicken pozole. It's all harmony no chicken. This cost $17. Last time buying it here. Gave it 3 stars because I do like the chicken plates .

I just came in today to eat with my family and our sever Angela was greatly very welcoming and nice. We ordered our food and it arrived very fast. The food was so tasty. I recommend ordering their chicken, it's delicious! After eating, our server Angela recommended some dessert, we ordered the ice cream and Oreo combo and it was amazingly tasty. Love this place and thank you Angela! The atmosphere, the music, and how clean the tables, forks, etc was greatly well done and well-followed up with.

I got the Hawaiian style chicken and it was super good. The chicken fell off the bones! It was interesting fusion place that serves a variety of different food. The service was excellent with welcoming host who walked me through the menu. The ambiance was also great with a young and fresh vibes! I will definitely come back to try other dishes :) Keep up the great work guys :)

Turn down the A/C inside. Way too cold for the customers. Also, those plastic plates you guys use to serve the food for the clients eating outside are tooo small and not presentable at all. My food was LITERALLY coming out of that plate.

Went to eat here with my boyfriend and I will be back. They have a large variety of options of food, it can be overwhelming because your gonna want to order it all. The staff was friendly and quick. The portions were a good amount and the flavors were amazing. I got the Cuban style chicken plate and my boyfriend got the belly buster sandwich. If I'm being nit picky I'd say I wish the plates were a bit bigger for the portions and I wish the sauces I got had a bit more flavor (I got the garlic sauce and chimichurri ) but they were still delicious. The bathroom was clean and the restaurant looked cool, I really enjoyed all the chicken art work. We will be back

Too much hype. I ordered the 1/4 chicken plate , dry as heck at 11:30 am opening time!!! Only Valet parking at the Downey location which is absolutely ridiculous.

We decided to try somewhere new and we throughly enjoyed our whole experience. **GREAT chicken served in diverse ways with different food styles** you'll definitely never get bored. Krista and Regina were helpful and so sweet. We got the whole chicken with the three sides and I'd def like to say the potato salad was very eggy. I didn't mind at all and I liked it, but it's something to consider since it's not usual. The GARLIC SPREAD was so good!! We can't wait to introduce all our friends and family

Food: Garlic Chicken Plate was delicious. Poutine was the best Poutine I've ever tried. My son didn't care for the Spicy Chicken Tenders. Service: Very busy. Long wait times to be sat and get our bill. Ambiance: The place was very busy that we never saw the inside of the restaurant. We were guided to the front and around to the side where the tent is for the overflow I guess. The tent was next to a parking lot and a small alley that cars kept going thru. Not much separates the cars driving by and the tent but planters. Note: Have patience when arriving and expecting to be sat. This place is ALWAYS busy each time my family and I come, regardless of time of day.

This is only the second time at this location. Parking is out the back and to the left. The check in area is very small and we waited about 5-8 minutes just to be acknowledged. We were not sure if we wanted to wait any longer since no one said anything to us.The host saw us there and made eye contact various times. While I understand waiting, it would've been nice to take our name down and tell us how much of a wait there was. Eventually she asked our party size and told us it would be a few minutes before they cleaned up the table. I ordered the chicken wrap which was delicious. My bf did the chicken plate with fries and we got the wings for my son. Every thing was good, however I which my side salad came with more dressing. The green sauce that came with my bfs plate was really tasty.

I stumbled across this place on Yelp. It is located in the neighborhood of Whittier. There is a lot right near the restaurant with a lot of parking and street parking available. Upon walking in it's a takeout/pickup area you walk through to wait to try and be seated. This place was very busy! You couldn't make a reservation through Yelp or joint a waitlist which is the downside. We had to wait about 30 min before we could be seated. It's not very spacious inside so when it's packed you can feel close to others. Our server however was very nice and attentive throughout our meal, getting refills before we could ask for them. The food itself was really good, the only thing is, yes there spicy is SPICY!! Don't take that for granted and air on the side of caution! All of our meat was cooked grey and seasoned very well. This was a nice spot to come with the family! But it was pretty loud in here and more of a family vibe! The drinks were good as well, this is a nice spot and I love that they offered a roasted chicken option. You don't see that often and it's a must try!

Upset that they changed their happy hour menu. I still ordered one of my favorite things here - The nachos! Love the wonton chips they use.

Great food and awesome service! Ariana (our server) really knew her stuff! She answered all the questions my wife and I had about the menu and offered some great options. Not once did I have to do that head-swivel to try and find her either. She was friendly and frequently came by to see if we needed anything. We're definitely coming back again!

Chicken is fresh and moist. They have great lunch specials. Chicken tostada salad less expensive and better than a fast food one.

The food is sooo yummy, we had a variety of things and everything was worth it. Highly recommended.

Service was amazing! Fast seating and very attentive staff. The menu is a mix of southern comfort but also a Mediterranean spin. Hard to figure out what your craving because each picture looks better than the next but definitely something for everyone to order. They have very affordable happy hour with a mix of drinks and appetizers. Portions are big! Free parking lot behind the restaurant but be on the lookout for the sign because it's easy to miss.

Was out in Whittier visiting a friend and decided to come out to this nice chicken spot. Granted, this review is only for the roasted chicken. Their menu is an extensive one with lots of chicken items. Lots of street parking and the lot next to it. Inside is clean, spacious and very organized. Service is very diligent and thorough. Lots of seating Inside and a small outdoor section that's covered. Ordered the following: - Quarter dark roasted chicken butter garlic Hawaiian style - 6/10 - got a leg and thigh. These pieces were shockingly small. Could've eaten both in a couple of bites. Full of flavor though, buttery and moist with flecks of browned garlic. Came with a disappointingly small scoop of rice. - Extra side of plantains - 6/10 - came out lukewarm, unfortunately. As stated, service was great and everything is neat and organized. But for the high prices, I was hoping for a bit more than what I got.
