Excellent food, by a local establishment, at an excellent price point. The food was fresh out of the fryer. The wait was ten minutes, but my chicken tenders and wings were so hot I couldn’t bite into them. After they cooled down, I enjoyed tender, juicy chicken, covered in a light and crispy breading. The chicken was truly the star of the show here. Garlic fries were alright. The plain fries are very good as well. I was stuffed for the $15 I paid. In Wisconsin, I’d consider that a good deal. Out west, where food is more expensive, the price is just even better. The worst part about The Chicken Shack is that I live across the country, and can’t add it to my list of regular food.

Great little spot not far from Hoover dam. We have ordered classic wings with fries and fried pickles, both very good! If you are in the area and like chicken, definitely worth stopping by.

We're were visiting from out of town and had a craving for fried chicken all of a sudden. Googled "fried chicken near me" and this place popped up in the results, thankfully. The young man working the front counter was super helpful and patient with us first timers. We liked everything we ordered but loved the chicken fingers! So good! We will definitely be coming back when we're back thru Boulder City again.

I have never eaten a Chicken shack but reviews looked well. This Chicken shack is very small and quaint when I entered there were three people working they all said hello and asked me how I was doing I asked what their most famous menu item was and right away was told the buffalo chicken fries. When eating at a place like this I usually ask what they're known for so I ordered it when it came out I was pleasantly surprised it was very large had lots of french fries and lots of chicken The fries were very crisp had a good flavor and the chicken was excellent The breading was good plenty of hot sauce and ranch on top but not too much.... if you don't mind a little hot I would recommend this dish. The staff were absolutely amazing asking how I was doing if I liked my meal or needed anything else. The place was very clean... I appreciated the hello and help with the menu and I really really appreciated the meal I will definitely go back if I have the chance .....check them out and order the buffalo chicken fries.....

Chicken Shack really hit the spot! The chicken was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. The fries were hot, golden, and just the right amount of seasoning. I also tried the hamburger, and it was surprisingly great, fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. On top of the good food, the people working there were super friendly and welcoming. Great vibes all around. Definitely coming back!

First time here and worth the wait. The chicken is very crunchy , tasty, freshly hot and reasonably priced. Also please let someone who doesn't have foods to eat know that they have a giving wall with paid for ticket for foods. Overall will come back if im in the area.

Great place for a quick bite with friends and family or even by yourself. The cashier helped me out with the combo that fits my needs and it was a great tasting meal. Crispy crunchy with zesty sauce.

Two thumbs up, no questions asked. These guys are the real deal. If you look at my pics, you'll see a #3, #4, and salad. Each one had MASSIVE portions and I'm a pretty big eater. The chicken had a light and crispy batter which was perfect. I'll also note that it was not too salty or oily, just perfect. Then, there was the salad which was nice and fresh. All in all, I can't complain because the bathroom was nice and clean and there was shaded parking! See my pic for their complete menu. Side note: they accept Apple Pay!

We were on vacation and stopped by for a quick bite to eat. They recommended the loaded fried which were amazing and huge and shareable for sure. The girl working the counter was holding down the fort all by herself and killed it. We don't stay to eat but looked super cute inside.

Great food to enjoy in Boulder City after a nice hike at Lake Mead or day exploring Old Town. Their chicken and fries are so good. I don't know what they do to them, but they taste better than other places to me. They also have a lot of sauce combinations and those are fun and delicious. Service is quick and ambiance is that similar to a take out place. It kinda reminds me of Sonic in set-up, but without the drive up order windows. Definitely a fun lunch spot if you want some quicker food to enjoy.

Ordered food to go on our way out of Boulder City. Service was fine, wouldn't say friendly but quick and easy ordering. Restaurant itself needs a little revamping or a good clean on the inside. My two meals took about 15 mins to be finished. Drink machine seemed to be lacking CO2 as both of our sodas were flat. We didn't get to eat our food until about 45 mins later until we got home in Vegas. The tenders were a great size and seasoned nicely. My husband got the tenders with a garlic parm rub and enjoyed it. I tried Jamaican jerk sauced wings. The sauce itself was veryyyy heavy on the clove flavor and it was unfortunately too much for me. Just plain next time for me. The wings itself were huge and crispy even with the sauce! Fries were even crispy still after 45 mins. Overall, great spot for tenders and fries for sure!

They food was delicious but unfortunately, the service was bad. The workers took very long to take our order and was unprofessional. also, the tables were very dirty and looked like they didn't clean it in a while.

The lady behind the counter was super friendly, patient and honest even though she was head cook, cashier and dish washer. Got a chicken sandwich combo and burger. Can't wait to see the meal. The decor was nice n 70's.

Food was amazing! Chicken was really good. I wish the ranch was thicker. I'd definitely come back for the food. It was a little dirty and I think if they cleaned it up it would be better. Also to the blonde lady behind the counter you can't be ugly and rude. To the owners that employee may be the reason for lack of customers.

Review for The Chicken Shack We literally drive 25 minutes just to eat here -- that's how good the chicken is! Always crispy, flavorful, and hits the spot every single time. It's one of our favorite spots for comfort food. The only thing I'd love to see improved is the friendliness at the front register. A warmer welcome would really complete the experience, especially since we go out of our way to come here. But overall, the food keeps us coming back!

I come to boulder multiple times a year, and there's no way I CANT stop here!! Their chili lime wings are incredible! They're always friendly and helpful, the chicken is crispy, it's the best!

Took a pit stop here on our drive from Las Vegas to El Dorado mines and was most impressed with the friendly and patient service and that the food is cooked to order. The place is just as the photos here illustrate - basic fast food joint with some seats on the inside, some seats on the outside, easy parking lot, bathroom available (just need to ask for the key). Menu is a bit complicated, definitely recommend the chili cheese fries (chili is homemade) and of course we ordered the chicken. Portions are decent and chicken is whole chicken, which is moist but sauces are necessary for the flavor. Good variety of sauces as well as good variety of fountain drinks, kids meal is a decent deal too

Cashier was less than enthusiastic, ear pods in and seemed really tired. He mumbled and lacked any articulation The website link was bad and compromised. Waited a long time for nothing spectacular. I should have gone to Jack in the box.

We used to travel from Havasu to Vegas and always stopped at The Cicke shack for a delicious meal for the out-of-town visitos. Always delicious and the best fries we had ever had. Soon the bypass was completed and it was no longer easy to grt to The Shack. Two pieces to chicken filets amd a massive bunch of fries. we ordered the five piece chicken strips, thinking that would bebenuf ror all of us. we got five dry chicken strips and one order of fries. We now know a side trip to Boulder is no longer in the cards. We were so disappointed. i apologize for the errors, you can't go back and fix mistakes.

Elizabeth and Donna were who served us, and my gosh they made this expierence over the top!!!! It was just my little fam, with our two small children. They played kids music over the speakers!!! They were so kind and accommodating. Food was also WOW!!!! Tons of sauce to choose from and they actually SERVE CHICKEN with a little breading instead of the other way around like some places. Thick juicy tenders!!! We will definitely be back. Fries were also DELICIOUS!

Hit the spot. Yummy food. Nice service. The sauces are the best. Homemade ranch was amazing. Hubby had creamy parmesan garlic wings and love them.

I ordered - well, just about everything the menu had to offer because I had not had The Chicken Shack prior to this. The chicken and the fries were nice and crispy - FRESH, but no flavor. The sauces themselves, no flavor. The true reason, I am giving this place 3-stars was the facility itself. It was disgusting - caked on dust, dirt under the drinking cups, soooo much dirt the facility is obviously not maintained.

Stumbled across this and had to try it. Tried the habanero honey wings sauce with 6 wings, fries, and a drink. PLENTY of food for one, the fries are delish- perfectly salted, seasoned and served HOT. Great service and informative staff with service. The ambiance is laid back, trendy. They have outdoor seating and indoor seating.

Omg!!! We were leaving the Hoover dam and wanted to find a place to eat before we headed back to the strip. This place hit the shot. The outside is not much to much to look at, but the lady taking our order was very nice and helpful in determining the best options for our money. We ordered the 6 piece combo with the dam hot sauce on the side. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'm usually do not like shoe string fries, but these were great. They seemed to be breaded, but I'm not sure. All of the food was fresh and hot. I will definitely try this place again on the strip.

Bland and soggy on the underside of chicken. Thought it was going to be super good with the ratings it has but wouldn't come again. Also I like my chicken strips smaller, if you're a girl you know exactly what I'm talking about, and these chicken strips were giant. Like an entire chicken breast fried. Fries were good but the chicken was too soggy and large.

A cozy fast casual fried chicken joint designed in the old-school drive up spot layout good for groups up to four or five. The birds they source are larger than usual and there is a wide variety of sauces (with many sweet/tart/hot/etc. options). Additionally, the sides: mac & cheese and coleslaw were tasty (macaroni salad was okay). Overall perfect for lunch or a quick bite with friends.

Took a trip to Boulder City for a comic book and sports card show and stopped in here after for lunch! We got several different things to try and the wings, tenders, coleslaw, Mac n cheese, potatoe salad, sauces were all great! Glad we stopped!

This is a great place to visit if you like to eat chicken. They make great wings, with many different flavors, which are all perfectly delicious. Their chicken strips are what my son and nieces love . Also the chili cheese fries are highly recommended. Enjoy!!

Customer service and friendliness was exemplary! God Bless the friendly voice of Elizabeth on the phone! She was great! Food was not fit to feed an animal. Ranch dressing should have been called milk water. No flavor and the consistency of 2% milk! Chicken overdone, tough. Fries were soggy and greasy. Garlic Parmesan sauce smelled and tasted like vinegar! Keep the smiles. But, please work on the food! It was a horrific experience unless you are on a diet and don't want to eat! Sad for how much $$ I paid. My 3rd experience with them in a year and I have yet to have a good one!

Wild this place has the reviews it does. Was passing through Boulder and stopped with the family for dinner. Chicken dry, tough, shockingly bad. Tossed it in the trash after forcing down a couple pieces. Kids wouldn't eat it either. They also shorted us by a wing. Not a big deal and after trying the food we didn't care much. Lol.

I usually enjoy the chicken shack in Las Vegas, regularly. passing through Boulder we thought would be a good stop. Husband and I shared a 5 piece finger, because one thing that's great is the food portion. the chicken was cooked well we usually love this place and I order the same sauce EVERYTIME. Hot honey garlic. I was so so upset to open my box to this sauce, thick, it did not taste like HHG, I had to dowse it in ranch to cover the taste, wipe off the excess, and couldn't even eat the second. It's like they accidentally put the wrong sauce and tried to cover it up. Extremely let down

This place smacks, no cap! I enjoyed my lunch plate here. Ordered in and went to pick it up. The staff was very friendly. The buffalo wings hit different. Would skip the hot chicken flavor. Check them out!

This was our first time visiting The Chicken Shack in Boulder City, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing -- mainly due to the behavior of the woman working, who seemed to be the manager, cashier, and server all in one. We were unfamiliar with the menu, and I initially placed our order but came back shortly after because my wife wanted a different sauce. Instead of being understanding or helpful, she responded with a rude and condescending attitude, almost lecturing me as if I had done something wrong. It was embarrassing, especially in front of other customers, and all I wanted was some basic clarification. Later, I was standing near the soda station and she suddenly shouted that I couldn't stand there. I asked her, "I can't stand here?" and again, her tone was unnecessarily aggressive. It felt like I was being singled out and treated as a problem rather than a customer. I had already told her we were sitting outside since we had our dog, so there was no reason for the hostility. At one point, I took a photo of the place -- and that's when she came outside to apologize. Her exact words were something like, "I saw you took a picture and that you're going to post a Yelp review, so I'm going to apologize." To me, it felt like the apology wasn't sincere, but more because she realized she got caught. By that point, I was already upset and too embarrassed to say anything, especially with a line of people behind me who witnessed the whole interaction. We were genuinely hungry and excited to try this place, but the way she treated me completely ruined the experience and killed our appetite. It's unfortunate how one person's attitude can change your whole mood. I hope management takes this seriously, because no customer should be made to feel that way -- especially not on their first visit.

We always stop at this Chicken Shack on our drive to Las Vegas from Arizona. It's a great little pit-stop before hitting the main city. Don't be put off by the outside, yes this place has that old school greasy spoon vibe, but the food is so worth it. We always get the chicken tenders & wings combo with fries. SO good. Last time we went the cashier seemed a little confused with our order. After ringing us up he came back to our table twice to clarify what we wanted. But he was a nice kid, I'd rather him double-check then mess it up entirely. Definitely check this place out if you like chicken wings/tenders!

I will never go back to the chicken shack in Boulder city. Every time I go there, my order is screwed up every time. I went back after not going there for two months and it's the same thing over and over again. The lady at the front counter that takes your order does not listen to what she wants. It is a horrible experience.

Stopped by here after the Hoover Dam and not sure it was delicious because we were super hungry or was it delicious, hehe. Joke aside, it was both. Fried to perfection and my favourite was the shoe string thin fries. They have lots of different sauces to dip the fried chicken with but they are just as good plain as they are pretty salted and flavored on its own. The burgers are ok. Just a generic burger. The beans are also ok. They cooked it with pineapples which made it too sweet for my tastebuds. I prefer them more savory then sweet. Bathrooms are single but very clean which is good especially at times like this.

The service was good, we had ordered our food and waited in the car for it. Once the food was done surprisingly one of the workers working came out and brought it to our car! The service is good however the food wasn't. The chicken was very flavorless, if you've ever tried canes it kind of compares to that however it is harder and crispy which isn't too bad if your dipping it in sauce anyways. The fries are absolutely horrible. I had ordered cheese fries, i'm thinking they'll have maybe a slice of cheese or cheese sauce but instead t's cold shredded cheese. They tasted like someone poured grease on them as sauce. They where filled with so much grease that when you bite into a fry, it wouldn't even crunch, instead it was grease popping into your mouth like a gusher. I wouldn't go ever again. I've seen other reviews talking about the inside looking dirty but this time it looked pretty clean. hopefully they read these reviews and fix the food.

Staff is very nice and friendly. It's never a problem for me and my family go there a lot for lunch and dinner. I even take it to my client house and they love chicken shack too....

I just paid $75 for overcooked chicken. Hard as a rock French fries. All of it tasted like everything that's ever been cooked in the fryer. If I had known that 20 chicken fingers and 2 large fries would be this much, I wouldn't have done it. I feel sick. From the price and one bite of food.

Great price, incredibly kind employees, and great chicken with plenty of options for sauce. What more can you ask for? There was a bit of a wait but that's because the food is that good. The professionalism and positivity here made me very happy. Give it a shot. :)

The wings are delicious and the garlic fries should be everywhere, the manager is the nicest person I have ever met. Renee is helpful and very knowledgeable, she takes your order and explains the menu to people who have never been here, she's very patient. You can sit inside or outside and she will deliver your food to you, if we lived here we would come at least once a week. Definitely try this little hidden gem.

Very good wings - I got honey bbq and my 6 piece came with 3 extra wings for free. I don't like eating a lot of fries but they were amazing. Not sure what oils they fry them in but they were very tasty

Chicken shack is always dependable for some quick chicken strips and fries. I love their BBQ sauces, they are addicting for no reason at all. Good chicken, great service, clean area. Thanks for being a great location!!

I ordered a five piece chicken tenders and got chicken crumbs. These are half the size of what you would get for tenders at any location. The one extra you gave me, does not add up to what I should have received for the price I paid !! If you cannot give me the quality, then you should not have charged me full price!! Unacceptable, next time, I will go back in and get my money back.

Had to do this. I know everyone loves this place. But we went last Monday, and I got 6 wings. Water only and one sauce. $15.16!!!!!! One "wing" was so tiny, I'd call it a toe. And they were dry and overcooked. Not even warm! I'm really shocked. Step up your game, Chicken Shack!

The Chicken Shack (Don't harass people please) Ambiance/Atmosphere: 4/5 - So, one of my family was feeling a little bit hungry and wanted to try this place in Boulder City for some food. I wasn't feeling too hungry after Last Stop Travel Center, but I ordered something anyway. - The inside was, to be honest, pretty calm. It was a bit dirty, but not to the point of it being really bad. - Not many people, a little empty but not bad. - It also has weird answers from famous figures on the immortal question of why did the chicken cross the road. Some of them like Lennon and Nixon are not good people. Service: 5/5 - Service was pretty good. They were nice and answered my question when I asked if free refills were a thing allowed (they were). Prices: 4/5 - I forgot to get a picture of the prices, but it is indeed a bit expensive, but they are much more fairly balanced than Last Stop (and don't charge $8 for a Hotdog). Food: 5/5 - You know what, after eating at Last Stop, this was a pretty good meal. Even by itself, the chicken and fries are solid. - Fry sauce reminds me of Cane's sauce, but it's pretty good as is. - Also, I tried to get Chili Cheese Fries just to compare to Last Stop, but they unfortunately were out of chili. Overall: 5/5 Stars Final Thoughts: For my first time eating at a Chicken Shack, I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered some food. This honestly feels like a completely different experience from Last Stop, and I wish this was the stop where we went to eat originally. Although I will admit there is no gas station (at least that I could see), if your passing through Boulder City, you should make this your last stop instead.

Stop by for a quick lunch and was not disappointed. Very fast service with friendly staff. We ordered the #3 combination (3 wings, 3 fingers w/ fries & drink) to share with a side of ranch and spicy ranch. Took one star off because the chicken fingers was a little to bland and the fries was a little too salty for me. But the wings... the wings was 11/10!! I love the wings so much. Perfectly seasoned and crisp! So get the wings for sure! Will stop by again if I have a chance for the wings!

I was so dissapointed after this Chicken Shack visit. I ordered 5 fingers and the Mac and cheese. Been going to chicken shack for years now. The Mac and cheese was absolutely disgusting. Even the frozen kind in the store is better flavored. Omg. And it was expensive. Never again. There is no air so you can't eat it there even if you want to. It feels like a blow dryer inside that place. The sauces are HALF the size of any of the chicken snacks I've been to (3 different ones in Las Vegas, not too far away). I got two skimpy little sauces with 5 huge tenders. Anddddd.... To sum it up I had the runs for days. The oil had to have been old. Highly Dissapointed in every way This is not The Chicken Shack I know and this location puts a bad look on the name.

Holy casual dive goodness, Batman! It's just a little walk in place, with some tables outside, too. I was either STARVING or it was the best mess of food in one dish I've ever had! Chicken fingers, fries, hot sauce and cheese. I swear I was shoveling it in so hard my son was giving me grossed out looks. It was a little pricey, $15 for one plus a large soda. I plan on saving all my pennies to drive back soon.

We needed some quick sustenance as we drove into Las Vegas, and The Chicken Shack was a quick and easy stop. All of us kept our order simple with the three tender, fries and drink combo. I love how they offer a large variety of sauces to go with your chicken. (Something for everyone's taste.) We were greeted by the most friendly, cheerful employee, and our food was served hot and fresh. I found the tenders to be kind of tough and stringy- maybe meriting a three star review. However, the service was great, the food was prepared well, and everything else was good so I didn't want to mark them down on what might have just been one tough bird.

After a long flight I was starved!! So glad I stopped in. Had the chicken sandwich and fries. The fries were perfect! They're thin, which I didn't mind and perfectly crunchy and flavorful! They're sauces are soooo good!! Had the honey garlic and it was delicious, perfect sticky mess on my fingers that I didn't mind at all! The chicken wings are crunchy - which is a must! Nothing worse than soggy chicken wings. Service is was good also, very friendly staff! They have seating so you can take to go or eat there.

We got chicken strips and chicken wings. We tried three sauces, garlic parmesan, hot and mango habanero. All three were amazing and tasted homemade. Fries were excellent as well, friendly staff. I would recommend to anyone passing through and going to the dam.

Staying at the elks lodge across the street. The wings were awesome. Honey bbq and garlic parmesan are what I ordered. Probably the best wings I've had in a long time and plenty of meat on the bones also. Service was great also. Will definitely be going back!!!!

First time here and we enter the place the employees are sitting on one of the tables, waited till they got up. finally order, got our food, fries were completely cold, chicken fingers were cold as well . Return the food and the girl at the register acted like we were in the wrong . We only got one sauce for five chicken fingers ,i the place is just gross . our first and last time here.

I am spoiled with Raising Caine's chicken tenders. Those are 5 star chicken. Service here was sub-standard and the fast-food ambiance is like any other fast food restaurant.

When I am in the mood for Chicken Wings, this is the place I go. I normally go for the parmesan wings, delicious and large. The price of wings have drastically risen the last year, but these are worth it, the largest wings I can get, I do recommend Chicken Shack
