The Best Parade Route Food Packages and To-Go Drinks for Mardi Gras 2023 | Eater New Orleans

"The Chicory House in the Rink shopping center is setting up a pop-up on Washington Avenue during the parades. Grab and go food will include sandwiches, pastries, and kid-friendly snacks. There will be a frozen cocktail (weather be damned!) in addition to warm beverages, Bloody Marys, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks." - Beth D’Addono

The Best Restaurants in New Orleans’s Garden District | Eater New Orleans

"Chef Martha Gilreath is the talented chef and baker behind Chicory House in the Rink on Prytania Street, filling cases with treats like apple brown butter blondies, cereal milk cookies, and candied bacon pecan scones. She bakes fluffy biscuits, and country white bread, thick slices of which are used for sandwiches like the Gayle, with house-smoked Creole ham, crispy andouille, and Grisontaler cheese from St. James Cheese Company. Daily specials might be overnight oats for breakfast and a Cuban for lunch." - Beth D’Addono

Of your on the Garden District, this is a great place to stop for breakfast or lunch. The sandwich was very good, we had a tuna salad and a Brie with ham. The latter was also very good. There is outdoor and indoor seating and it has a nice feel to it. The staff was very friendly

Just got two coffees here, but they were excellent. The place is cute and quaint, the food, especially the baked goods, looked great. But I can tell you the coffee was top-notch. It's a shame I was only visiting, because I'd frequent this place if I lived in New Orleans.

Very legit local coffee house. Excellent place to take a break when checking out the historical places in the Garden District. Close to Lafayette #1 Cemetery. In the same market as the Garden District Book shop. Check it out while you are there.

This place is really cute with lots of seating and WiFi. My only gripe was their menu said the nitro was $4.75 but they charged $6. Guess they didn't update the menu but at the last second I noticed the sign by the register stating it was $6 🤔. I think it's a significant jump to not update the menu price so be careful when trying to pay. Overall the nitro had a good chicory flavor but also not as creamy as I think nitro should be.

Great little coffee and breakfast spot on Prytania. Service was engaging and efficient, coffee was hot and strong - and the space is very nice - especially the outdoor seating. A great spot - especially as they open early!

Had the crawfish omelette which was absolutely amazing. Good price too. I have had some bad service while in New Orleans but the girl serving us here was pleasant.

Excellent coffe, Chicory roast (?) Nice porsch. Terrible bread and omelette, completely tasteless. The bread is a joke.
