All of the staff are incredibly kind. My room was pristinely clean. I really appreciated the body wash and shampoo, lovely scent and so much better than the typical disposable bar soaps! The parking is extremely expensive however since this was a work trip I wasn’t too worried. I would stay here outside of work if not for the exorbitant parking fees, everything else I feel is fair for the quality!

I have stayed at The Chifley in Houston more than once, and the reason I keep coming back is simple. The customer service is on another level. It does not matter who you are or what brings you through those doors, the staff treats everyone with genuine care. Not the forced scripted kind… the real kind. One week they were filming a whole movie at the hotel. Cameras everywhere, people running around, and the staff still made sure every guest felt seen and taken care of. That told me everything. These folks care about quality over status. They show up because they take pride in how they represent the hotel. Another thing I love is the work section in the room. I travel for business, so having a comfortable space where I can actually sit down, plug in, and get things done makes a big difference. It is quiet, functional, and makes the stay feel even more worth it. I stay at other Hiltons and honestly I cannot say the same. The Chifley consistently goes above and beyond in a way that feels sincere and steady. Is it perfect? Maybe not. But the service is top notch, warm, and dependable. Would I stay again? Absolutely. Would I recommend it? Without hesitation. The Chifley has earned my loyalty stay after stay.

This hotel is nice and clean. You have to keep in mind that it's old so the rooms have a very small feel to them because the ceilings are lower than the newer hotels. But everything is updated and the remodeling was done right. Lots of little extra details. The coffee in the room was great as well! The issue I had was with the beds. There were two queen size beds in our room and they were awful. Felt like they were 20 years old. Just springs... I don't understand why they chose to cut corners here. But they did.

I would not recommend The Chifley Houston based on my recent experience. The room setup (mini-fridge and coffee area) made it reasonable to assume a microwave would be available on the property. When I asked about it, I was told there were none for guest use. I spoke with the manager, Evan Johnson, who refused to offer any reasonable accommodation, including access to a shared microwave or a meal credit. I was told it was “not something worth accommodating,” which was dismissive and unprofessional. I was also given incorrect information about an another Hilton property, which I personally verified to be untrue. The issue isn’t the microwave it’s the lack of customer care and accuracy. As a Hilton guest, I expect better. I hope Hilton reviews this location’s approach to service and management accountability.

I honestly don’t understand how this hotel qualifies as part of Hilton’s Tapestry Collection. My stay for an on-site conference was riddled with issues that made it far from “luxury”: Noise Nightmare: Rooms facing 610 are unbearably loud—day and night. If you’re a light sleeper, forget about getting any rest. Basic Amenities Missing: Instead of simple hand soap, the hotel uses heavily scented body wash dispensers in rooms and common are bathrooms. The smell is overpowering and unpleasant. How hard is it to provide standard soap? Maintenance Failures: Reported a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly on day one. Followed up the next day. Still broken. Gave up asking. Sulfur/Gas Odor: Other guests complained about a strong sulfur/gas-like smell in rooms—bad enough to wake people up. The hotel’s response? “It’s safe, but we don’t know what it is.” That’s unacceptable. Safety isn’t the only concern—comfort matters. Find the source and fix it. Overall: This property is nowhere near a 4-star experience. It needs a serious operational overhaul before it can live up to Hilton’s branding. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not.

Attended a wedding at this hotel a few weeks ago. Had an amazing bartender called Jennifer. We called her Jen. She was very kind and attentive to our needs. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were very clean. Will definitely be back to visit again.

Horible checkin experience. Room i have checked into was not accetable due to tons of plastic decorations in it. It was supposed to be special, but not if you have allergies. As a compensation I was offered a Corner Room except the key I was given was to room facing a highway next to the elevator. Noise level in the room due to the highway was excessive. On the second day I was offered to make things right but decided not to move rooms as it would require a repacking. Hotel does not have any management present on premises. The hotel manager quit and front office manager wasn't there for a couple of days. Bar / restaurant is nice and staff there is extremely pleasant and helpful. Overall it was an OK place to stay. Very noisy location though.

The room is spacious, clean, and quiet. Most importantly, the front desk service provided by Simone W. was nothing short of perfect. She was polite, friendly, and attentive. She is truly THE star and I would definitely return to this hotel.
