Wow this is not the same hotel we stayed at when they first opened. I'm pretty sure it's due to the staff change and the fact we were some of the first guests that ever stayed in the new rooms so PR was making sure everyone was happy. This time, a few years later, as our home is being renovated to become a rental and our new home was being finished, we had to stay a week, which I thought, great! We had just gotten back from Dallas, doing headshots for a Texas pageant, very exhausted and it sounded amazing. WRONG. Our room was across the hall from the worst group of girls I've ever seen.. not once or twice but several times to the point security and other guests came out of their room at 3am because of how very very drunk, loud, fighting and (not even 21) confirmed by an older man probably mid 40's, that looked like he was staying with them. (Very weird situation) they woke up our daughter twice, then had the audacity to ask if WE would like to move! Um, we aren't the problem, but you want the multiple time called on, where security already knows their room number of a ridiculous disturbance to not have to move? Not only that, but the front desk was unbelievably rude. Like to the point, I was on the phone with my husband, had our daughter, trying to find a certain floor and right next to the front desk where a woman was "working" and I'm asking my husband, look at her and she just looks up and back at the desk, so I said could you tell me? Since he was on speaker phone and she KNEW what I was looking for. They're so lazy. They do the bare minimum. We've been diamond members for 10 years. Which is very hard to get, especially at our age. So we make sure every year we have multiple "stay cations" multi country visits. We had just come back from Colombia, Peru and Mexico. We do our part so we expect the service to be a certain level when you have maintained and spent quite a bit of money to be at the highest status. The "manager" had some "I'm better than you attitude" and we still treated him with the upmost respect, but it seemed like he just wanted to be as rude and disrespectful as possible. Which he succeeded. I basically did the housekeepings job as we left. Which I didn't mind. I chose that. But the "manager" acted as if we were such horrible guests, when I don't think we left our room but a few times and had little to no interaction with them. The kitchen staff was great. They would hand pound my husband and so sweet. Not sure why front desk had a problem, sounds like they just hate their job and takes it out on the people who give them one, but this isn't the same place we stayed before and we won't ever be back. There's plenty of other hiltons in Houston for a staycation, but I promise it won't be this place again. (And just so yall know, you can look at my reviews and I RARELY write a negative one, I'm not the gripe about everything type) but this place DESERVED it.
