"Chocolate Line, Antwerp Dominique Persoone calls himself a “shock-o-latier.” He lives up to the moniker at the Antwerp location of his Chocolate Line store. Persoone buys his cocoa beans on annual expeditions (to Peru and Mexico this year) and creates offbeat flavors—Bollywood, Havana, Atlanta (pictured)—inspired by his travels. A very beautiful chocolate store with a working viewable kitchen. Lots of things to buy and enjoy, sadly the building is being renovated so you can’t enjoy the architectural elements.

5 starts for their variety of bonbons. This is heaven on earth. There are so many choices and all what they have got taste so good. The place looks amazing/ fancy and at the kitchen you could see the employees making chocolate/bonbons. Must visit when in Antwerp

Really good chocolate but expensive. Interesting imitation of the Twix. Which was so good. Worth the visit if you are in Antwerp as the building is beautiful. Thanks for the experience!

OMG! Here is amazing! We bought some chocolate but the weather was too hot they have been melted. 🥲 A really cool chocolate shop. The chocolate figures they display are extremely realistic and interesting. There is an incredible aura inside the shop. That nice smell of chocolate filled the whole shop. I even wanted to taste that delicious smell! 👌👌

From 20+ chocolate shops sampled across Belgium, The Chocolate Line has topped every single other. Phenomenal chocolates, incredibly unique, flavours are always punchy, and shapes are creative. Staff were very friendly and shop is housed inside beautiful rooms

Yelp
This place is amazing! They have so many unique flavors and combinations; they really set themselves apart from all the other chocolate shops in Belgium. First off, the store inside is beautiful. If you go to the back, you can see these huge chocolate sculptures that they made. The people who work there are so nice too. They gave me and my friends so many samples to try. My favorites were deadly delicious (apparently Billie Eilish's favorite) and the tarte citron. I also tried the chill pill, which was definitely not my cup of tea. The grass flavor was so strong, but the chocolate itself was so pretty! I bought each of my friends a box of 5 chocolates. It was so fun to see them try each different flavor together. It's such an easy gift, and the chocolates are very reasonably priced too! Be careful when you're traveling with them though - some of the tarte citrons did break because they're so fragile. If you want fun, creative chocolates, this is the place to go!

Yelp
Excellent chocolate shop, friendly staff. The Chocolate Line is housed in the historical Palace on the Meir. Unfortunately I never got to try my raisin nut bark box as it was stolen from my hotel in Paris.

Yelp
Our Tour guide recommended this spot. Only two locations in BE. I missed it a couple of times as there isn't a sign and the building exterior looks like a museum vs store. (Because it is in the historical Palace building) The interior is palatial and feels like you're in a cool chocolate shop. So many Artisan varieties, it was overwhelming in a good way. So I asked one of the kind ladies to pick a mixed box of the chocolates we should try. 22 Euro for a medium box. Havana and Antwerp Beschuit were favorites. Also picked up some Truffles as gifts. All delicious! You can find your chocolate piece information on their website easily. They also have their Chocolate Kitchen which I didn't have a chance to see. Engaged and kind people behind the counter answering questions and providing exceptional service. Dominque Persoone's creations hit the mark. Best chocolatier in 2023 and lives up to the hype!

Yelp
Came here at the recommendation of a tour guide and purchased a box of 8 chocolates for €10. They were all delicious and I wish I had bought more!

Yelp
The service was not the most friendly and not very good at customer service and samples but yes chocolates are good and affordable. I would recommend also to try the guimauve spéculos and chocolate so good !

Yelp
I bought 3 pralines for myself and an assortment for gifts. The staff were helpful and the chocolate is indeed delicious.

Yelp
Location: In the heart of Antwerp's main shopping area. The place: It's not very big and it's touristy so it fills up pretty quickly. Nothing fancy in terms of decor. The goods: They offer a selection of pre-packaged chocolate, bean-to-bar (bars) and individual chocolate (truffles and the like). I decided to select a few of my own pieces and get a bar made from Vietnamese cocoa beans. The individual pieces were pretty good but they didn't blow me away. The bar is pretty ordinary - at 75% cocoa, I expected it to be less sweet then it is. Service: I wasn't blown away by that either. Rather indifferent, and when I asked what the difference was between the various bean-to-bar offerings, I was basically told it was just the percentage. I asked for a recommendation - nada. I'd expect the folks who work in a chocolate shop to know something about chocolate but that didn't seem to be the case here. Price point: I don't recall how much I spent.

Yelp
It's a wonderful experience when you visit this Belgium Chocolate shop. You enter a historical palace; the shop itself is magical. Chocolates in different shapes, forms and flavors. Here you get the history about the palace, you taste the high quality of chocolates I'm Belgium. Awesome for all your senses. Not too far from Central train station in Antwerp.

Yelp
If.I.could, I would live here. :) Belgian chocolates are so smooth... and housed in this museum-like palace with your own chocolatier. Now that is heavenly.

Yelp
First of all, if you haven't had Belgian chocolate in your life, you MUST. It's so much more incredible than say, Hershey's. The Chocolate Line is an adorable shop with a factory kitchen behind windows so you can watch. It's interesting to see how they create the little chocolate animals and other goodies. They have some gigantic chocolate sculptures, which makes for good photo ops. There's plenty of chocolate for purchase and of course that's what we were there for! We only bought a few pieces (shame, right?!), but the ones we tried were decadent. My favorite is the milk chocolate horse looking one. Yum! Definitely enjoyed our stop here.

Yelp
Experience the fun and sweetness in the Chocolate line. It is a wonderful factory that prepares a line of handmade chocolates. Chocolate line is one of my favorite places to stop through when I am in Belgium. It is located right in the center of Antwerp, just walking distance from the train station and the main shopping street. The factory is a unique kitchen, which allows you to watch closely how chocolate is being made. I love taking a glimpse of their next chocolate creation for the season. This lovely factory was discovered by Fabienne Destaerke and Dominique Persoone who is identified as shock-o-latier. When you exhibit their work, then you can tell their true passion and love for chocolate. I completely love the fact that they created a designer chocolate ball gown dress for Miss Belgium. How cool is that? I would have loved to slip that dress on.

Yelp
This tops one of the most beautiful chocolate shops I have ever been to. The decor feels like you're inside a palace( and that's because you are!) The shop is now what used to be the drawing room and bedchamber of the grand Meir Palace, previously owned by the Belgian royal family and Napoleon. Did someone say Napoleon? Exactly. Even cooler. The chocolate is homemade, and you can see how it is made in their "chocolate kitchen." Truly a unique experience. I bought the best marzipan from here, as well as some dark Belgian chocolate. They have a large selection and great gift ideas to take home with you as well.

Yelp
This place has an epic feel. As you enter you are greeted by a beautiful spread of multicolored chocolates under a white columned canopy. In the back there is a station to demonstrate how their chocolate is made. There are always a few chocolate makers and tourist photographers there to ensure the chocolate making moments are captured. The chocolates themselves are sublime. I tried a few, my favorite was the Brazil, a slightly tart lemon lime and chocolate flavor. The outside was a beautiful white shell speckled with green and yellow dots. The chocolate line had the most daring flavors, high quality and expensive chocolates I had in Belgium.

Yelp
This is often recommended as the best chocolate in Bruges or Antwerp and it is good chocolate but it's not my favorite. And the prices are quite high.

Yelp
The taste is still in my mouth. The taste is divine. The price was expensive that I ever spend for a chocolate. I recommend it very much.
