The food was perfect. The service prompt and unobtrusive. Our reserved table for eight was set beautifully before the fire place. It was a family celebration with our young adults who usually are in more casual settings. They loved the tablecloth, place settings, and special service. They loved the steaks!

Google
Everything was great... OMG — hands down the BEST ribeye steak I’ve ever had! Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and topped with sautéed mushrooms, onions, and just the right amount of blue cheese crumble. Every bite was unforgettable. The experience was so memorable that this is officially my go-to spot for every birthday, anniversary, and special occasion from now on. The atmosphere, the service, and that ribeye… absolutely unmatched. Highly recommend!

A must try for those that don’t like long reviews. Was in town for an event and had a few colleagues mentioned they went the night before and had a good dinner. I have eaten at the big name steakhouses so wasn’t sure was I was in for. We didn’t have a reservation and was greeted at the door and at the hostess station and only waited 10 min for a booth for 2. Our server came right over. I decided to try the old-fashioned. My friend decided to get a glass of wine. They bought out a basket of bread that was really delicious and I was impressed as it was fresh baked bread. As far as the old-fashioned wasn’t the best one I’ve ever had so we decided to order the steak medallion special. I had the Caesar salad and yes, it does have anchovies in it the way it’s supposed to be the salad was fresh and delicious. Our food came out shortly after, and it was cooked correct. The mashed potatoes were amazing so then it came time for dessert and of course our server did a great job telling us about the desserts all the desserts are made on premises. Including ice cream. My friend had the ice cream and I had the Keylime pie all very inexpensive by when I’m used to for a higher at a steakhouse service was amazing The general manager came around to ask if everything was OK if I’m ever back in the area I will be sure to stop by here.

Perfect in every single way. Service and food as well. Even the chopped salad is a spectacular dish topped with half of a fresh avocado. The Prime Rib tonight was also absolutely amazing. I could almost cut it with a fork and the Au Jus complimented it very well along side Burgundy Mushrooms it was a wonderful Sunday Dinner. As soon as I tasted the salad I knew I was in for a treat. This is not your average steakhouse. It's incomparable to almost any steakhouse I've ever been in and I will be coming back to enjoy the bar area soon. The atmosphere is great, upscale but not "snotty" and my particular waitress tonight was an excellent conversationalist and a top tier server. It's even better to have a great dinner AND meet a great new face.

Google
The Chop House was recommended by a friend and now I am recommending it to everyone. My wife stated that the glass of wine she had made her "Soul Happy." I had a beer and I was good. The atmosphere was low key and quiet. The wait staff and managers we fantastic, we never wanted for attention. The food was Fantastic, my wife recommends the "Oscar" i had the Halibut, not meals were fantastic. The place can be fancy for those who will enjoy a nice night out and it can be a great place to eat. We will definitely be returning. A special thanks to our server Elijah. You rocked!

Google
And they have a hurricane on the bar menu! Many places don’t offer the drink because it requires passion fruit juice. It was excellent! They brought us some very tasty bread right off the bat. After that came an excellent house salad. For entrees we had prime rib and baby back ribs. Prime rib was perfectly done and the ribs were “fall off the bone” tender. Mashed potatoes were great as well. I got an extra side of creamed spinach, since it is one of my favorite things and I can never resist when it is available. It was perfect. Fantastic dinner at a fantastic restaurant!

Google
Just had a fabulous dinner at this great “Chop house”. Our server was Quincy who was fantastic and knowledgable about everything on the menu. My wife ordered a lobster tail, corned crème Brûlée and a salad and deviled eggs. I ordered the chef special delmonico rib eye with a salad, potato and broccoli. All of this food was amazing. We ended the night with a few of the desserts on the dessert menu. For drinks we got a mojito and chocolate martini. All the food, service and drinks and atmosphere were top notch and highly recommend. Now we may have ordered some of the more expensive things on the menu, but it was soo affordable! This place can be a casual dinner date or an anniversary dinner like the one I had with my wife. Great night!

Google
Customer service was excellent. There were some discrepancies between customer requests and the food provided. I believe the bartender could enhance their drink preparation; my Bloody Mary, for instance, had a disproportionate amount of tomato juice and lacked a sufficient liquor presence. Rectifying meal errors also seemed to take an extended period. I nearly slipped in the vicinity of the grill, likely due to a greasy floor near the BBQ section, which warrants attention. Overall, satisfactory; however, there is room for improvement.

Yelp
After debating between 4 or 5 stars, I decided not to chop out that last star. Why? Because their service and food was great. Being an out-of-state visitor, it is so pleasant to see how friendly Tennessee restaurants are. I came here on a Sunday night with my husband for dinner. Although we arrived earlier than our reservation, they were able to seat us right away. The server was very prompt, alert, and friendly. Their food was delicious! I ordered their prime rib (medium rare) with a side of creamed spinach and bowl of potato soup. Everything was superb. Although my prime rib looked red, there was no blood. It was cooked perfectly, with nice chunks of fat. Yum. Also, their complimentary bread was so good! I felt all their food was seasoned perfectly. Would I come back next time I am in town? Absolutely. Great times all around at The Chop House, cheers!

Yelp
If you come here on a Sunday, just call to make a reservation. They are busy and the to-go place on Sunday's. Unless you're ok waiting for a while. It is a decent sized place, super family friendly with kids menus. Our waiter was attentive and got all of our orders's correct. It is definitely on a higher price range but the portion size was worth it. We all had to go boxes by the end. Taste was good and authentic. Parking is shared with all the business in the plaza but it's enough. It can get loud depending how busy it is. I think they might have some backdrops music too.

Yelp
Really enjoyed this place! Visiting from San Diego and must say food was amazing and service was incredible! Will be stopping in when back in town!

Yelp
We arrived and were seated promptly. Our waitress was outstanding. I had the Chop House old fashioned which was made perfectly. Our appetizer was the sweet tamale cake. They were excellent. I had the Chillen Sea Bass and my wife had chicken piccata. Both were excellent, full of flavor. The restaurant was clean and well lite, just A little loud. Highly recommend this place!!

H M.

Yelp
Food was delicious, arrived quickly. Server was attentive without being overly so. Nice place. We will be back.

Yelp
Excellent food and an overall fantastic experience! Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The staff went above and beyond--friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food paired with wonderful service.

Yelp
Went for our 30th anniversary on 10/28/2025 a nice Tuesday afternoon. Ordered grilled chicken breast with potatoes and snap peas, ribeye steak with broccoli and potatoes and shrimp and crab cake appetizer and chocolate cake with caramel and ice cream for dessert. Service was excellent and food was cooked perfectly as ordered. The ambiance was nice and quiet. The best time to go. Overall our experience was great. Thank you for a wonderful special afternoon.

Yelp
This wasn't a 3 but not exactly a 4 this time. Maybe like a 3.5. I go to the Chop House pretty often I would say and normally like it a lot. Now the steak was great but the fettuccine this time looked a little leftover or the sauce looked overcooked. The beans that are usually in it will not be so mooshy but this day it was. All the seafood except for the shrimp in seemed like it was the bottom bits of the of the bag. . Nothing was in whole or chuck pieces except the shrimp. The flavor was still okay but the aesthetic was not.

Yelp
I get the 8oz Prime Rib nearly every visit and it's always consistent! Cooked just like I like it and the service is great.

Yelp
This Chop House here in Murfreesboro is, after this meal, one of my top Go-to places in this area for a great meal! My server Ben was absolutely perfect with my craziness of having him interacting with my open ordering. He chose some amazing dishes. (I choose two items and let my server make the final decision. It adds a nice touch when they participate.) My buffet..... started with nice warm fresh bread and SOFT butter! That little detail makes a big difference to me. Next was my deviled eggs topped with brown sugar bacon and crispy calamari and shrimp appetizers. Cooked perfect. Lots can go wrong with either and even the calamari was super tender. Next up was my blue cheese salad that had just the right amount of fresh ingredients..... Not for my main courses. Dish one was a perfectly cooked and nicely cut medium rare prime rib with very flavorful au jus and a nice loaded baked potato. Super tender and flavorful prime rib!! Dish two was Baked Halibut. This one a nice cut and again cooked just right. Flakey, moist and flavorful! A tough trio it seems in most restaurants! But they did it perfectly. My creamed spinach and corn crème brûlée were very good! I've had them before and that's why I selected them again. No dessert.... I was sooo full. Thank you Chop House and especially Ben my server!!

Dennis T.

Yelp
Excellent steaks, very pleasant ambiance, great wait staff and reasonable prices. What's not to like? Highly recommended.

Todd C.

Yelp
The steaks were awful, we had a filet and a ribeye, came out poorly cooked, flavorless and obviously cooked on a flat grill. I'm not sure how you dry out a ribeye when you are only cooking it to MR but they managed it. The filet was smashed and cooked to medium well/well. Obviously a serious lack of cooking knowledge. The creamed spinach was salty and disgusting and the baked potato wasn't fully cooked. On a side note the service was good. No problems with that! $93 for half eaten steaks and no sides was incredibly disappointing!

Yelp
My wife and I went to The Chop House for the first time in several years. We were pleasantly surprised the interior had been upgraded with new flooring and lighting. The food was tasty and the our service was excellent. We will definitely think of this location when we want to have a great steak and a positive experience.

Yelp
We usually come here for lunch. They have nice lunch deals. It's located in a plaza so it isn't too hard to get a parking. One of my favorite lunch dishes here is the Turkey n dressing. It's hard to find Turkey n dressing around town so it's nice to be able to come here and eat it when I crave for it. I also really like the sweet tea here. It's made perfectly. Service wise, everyone here is usually pretty nice. They can get pretty busy here, but even when they're busy, the service is still pretty good.

Yelp
This was another one of my stops in Murfreesboro. We stopped in for dinner and everything went smoothly. We were sat quickly and given bread and water immediately. The bread was really good and fluffy. The butter complimented it really well. To start, I ordered the Smoked Salmon Dip. It is blended with garlic/black pepper smoked salmon, dill caper sauce, red onion, paprika and comes with shrimp chips. The chips are light, crispy, yet flavorful. That was my first time having them! I also tried the onion rings and the sweet corn tamale cakes. They are really good. They are like a cornbread muffin topped with avocado, pico de gallo, chipotle ranch, cilantro. For dinner , I had the homemade blue crab cakes. They were not my favorite. They had more batter than actual crab meat. I will say the corn crème brûlée was really good! I loved it. The mashed potatoes were good as well. Overall, I had a great experience. I will go back if I am in the area to try other menu items!

Yelp
Food very good every-time I come here, I'm a day time eater and it seems best for me at this time service is very good around 2pm

Yelp
My second visit here was a vastly improved experience compared to April. The food was soooo yummy and prepared much better than before. Big shoutout to our waiter Ben who was attentive, prompt and friendly and really took great care of us allowing my husband to challenge him with menu choices. It was a bit more crowded than before but no wait time with our reservation and it was pleasantly not noisy. We started with 2 appetizers, delicious deviled eggs and irresistible (so tender) crispy calamari & shrimp. Both were devoured in minutes. I had the halibut with crème brûlée corn & creamed spinach. All cooked to delicious perfection. My husband had medium rare prime rib, baked potato & house salad. Again, all cooked to delicious perfection. The Chop House is definitely back on our "special" dinners list for celebratory meals. Thank you to all the staff, especially Ben for making our Saturday night dinner special.

Yelp
Met some friends here for dinner while in town. Great choice! I dove right in and failed to take pics! Sorry! My husband got the Filet Mignon with loaded sweet potato, side salad and Mac n cheese. I ordered the petite pork chops it came with an apple purée that made it delish! My sides were steamed broccoli (sooo good) and mashed potatoes. I didn't care too much for the mashed potatoes but I did enjoy some of my husbands Mac n cheese. For a cocktail I had the Southern Belle. So good!

Yelp
I took my wife here at the Chop house for her birthday and we loved it. The customer service was great. We originally had a later reservation however the customer service was so helpful and friendly they were able to allow us to come a few hours early. The food was amazing. This place is phenomenal!
google avatar

Angkear K.

Yelp
One of the best things about this place is that everything on the menu that I've tried is delicious! Service is amazing and we've been well taken care of everytime we go. Although it can get very packed so come with a reservation if you can, esp on weekends! Definitely try the tamale cakes : it is so so good and flavorful. It also has some of the best steaks that I've tried in Murfreesboro with a reasonable price. The inside is pretty spacious and has lots of seatings.

Yelp
A classic family friendly steakhouse. I took my mother and our entire local family here for her birthday because it's one of her favorites. Every time we go the steaks are perfect, the appetizers are delicious, and the loaded baked potato are my jam! Cocktails are good and I love their old school house salad. Definitely recommend for a solid meal.

J L.

Yelp
If you are looking for pretty solid meal the Chop House is good. Don't expect it however to be on par with a top steakhouse like Bob's, Del Frisco's, Ruth Chris, or Eddie V's for steaks. We celebrated our daughter's birthday and had a party of 7. One thing that annoys me more than anything is when restaurants jam people around a table. The tables were likely meant for 6 (really should be 5) but adding a 7th made our meal together less enjoyable. Constantly moving dishes and glasses around to make room for bread, appetizers and cocktails, etc which takes away from the experience. Yes I know this is being picky, but at today's prices you can be. We asked upon arrival to have our table moved, but they couldn't accommodate. Next time I make a reservation, I will be requesting a larger table. Overall our meals where good. There was nothing that had you saying "They make the best...", but everything was good. The best part of our experience was our server Jason A. He was engaging, quirky, funny and very attentive! The Chop House is lucky to have him and if I owned a restaurant I would be offering him a job!
google avatar

Ed G.

Yelp
Excellent service and a great variety of food selection. Reasonably priced. The cornbread salsa with avocado was a bit dry and not much flavor. We had the thick pork chop that was grilled to perfection and the balsamic bluecheese sald was great. We wanted the onion rings as an re start but they ran out. The ceasar steak salad was great and grilled good as well. We took our desserts back to the hotel, as we were too full to eat at table. the keylime pie and choclate moose pie were great. the waitress was very attentive and always ready for refills. The dining room was very well decorated and the gas lanterns are a nice touch. The fire place was not on and looked charming.

Andre J.

Yelp
Jason A was an amazing server. In fact the entire team worked hard to make our dinner a special night experience. I had a great steak. My wife enjoyed the salmon that required special attention because of allergies. And our friends both got the sirloin lunch specials. This place is great.
google avatar

Johnny S.

Yelp
This steakhouse is mid...it does not live up to its hype like it did before. Their prime rib is mid. I have had better at other chain restaurants. A little disappointing but service was ok and the ambiance was also ok. I will give chop house another shot in the future but will venture to different steakhouses before coming back to this one.

Gandj F.

Yelp
Best prime rib in their special ovens! Never disappoints:) Service excellent and atmosphere is very nice. Thank you
google avatar

Mike I.

Yelp
Food was very good, service was great (thanks to our excellent server, Natalie) and the ambiance of the restaurant was proper. Can't say I had much of anything to complain about.

Cory C.

Yelp
Great food and good service. Make reservations because they are busy. We will be back

Tee M.

Yelp
I bought a $17 salad and it had 2 cherry tomatoes on it! There is barely a whole chicken finger on it as well. Why is it so hard to get a consistently good salad here???? Definitely not worth the money!
google avatar

Shelly R.

Yelp
Had a first time visit with my husband to the Chop House last night, and it really exceeded my expectations! I went for dinner around 4p before it got busy, and ordered a dirty martini and salmon dip for an app. The dip was really flavorful, and the chips it came with practically melted in my mouth. For mains, I got the filet mignon done medium with a loaded baked potato and house salad with balsamic vinaigrette and my husband got the prime rib with corn crème brûlée (it was sweet and savory, a unique side item). The salad was nice and fresh. My steak was a bit underdone for medium, but I still ate most of it and got into a philosophical convo with my husband about "maybe this actually is medium but other places were more done for their medium." I actually didn't say anything about it to the server, but she noticed I didn't finish it and said, "That didn't seem quite medium to my liking either so dessert is on us." Wow! Super amazed by the customer service, top notch. For dessert, we got the caramel cookie ice cream, and it was really good. Overall, all the food was really tasty, and the customer service was exceptional, and we will definitely be back! Highly recommend it for a date night or a solid nice dinner with friends!
google avatar

Nikki D.

Yelp
Cosmo was good...spirit forward, you'll only need two. Ask for it to be made with grey goose. The chop salad is one of my favorites. Filet medium was good. Sides and apps were mid. Do the call ahead seating or you'll wait forever.

Lisa F.

Yelp
My first time getting to try chop house and it was great. Shelby, our waitress was awesome. Food tasted amazing too

Katherine S.

Yelp
The ambience is pleasant. It feels like a night out. The food is good and the service is usually spot on. It's where we go when we want a steak without breaking the bank.

Kathy M.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Murfreesboro. Understated elegance, exceptional food with amazing flavor, professional staff. The experience is always 5 stars. It is always our go to for a top notch experience. Our guests visiting from out of town always request to go here as well. Love The Chop House!

Joe H.

Yelp
Fantastic food and great service! Everything was out on time and just as ordered. Drinks were never empty.

Brandon E.

Yelp
The Chophouse is awesome. I always come here when traveling for work. I was greeted when upon entering the establishment and promptly seated. They have remodeled the interior and it's much brighter. I ordered the brown sugar deviled eggs as an appetizer. They are awesome, a wonderful combination of sweet, salty, and creamy. My waiter was very attentive to my order. The manager also comes thru and checks on you while dining. The courteous staff is remarkable. I ordered the 14oz ribeye with potato and salad. It was cooked to a perfect medium well plus. It was moist and flavorful. Most definitely will be returning.

John C.

Yelp
Amazing food. Made a reservation, it was a good thing that we did because the wait was 1.5 hours at 4:45 on a Saturday. Service was excellent. I don't remember the waitress name (I'm sorry) but she was excellent. We started with an appetizer of shrimp and crab cake. It was amazing. For the entree I ordered a Delmonico ribeye with a fully loaded baked potato and corn crème brûlée. My wife ordered lamb chops with Parmigiana creamed spinach. She also had the clam chowder. Everything was delicious. The steak was possibly the best that I have ever had. Cooked perfectly. The corn crème brûlée was delicious. I had never had anything like that before and I loved it. My wife said that the lamb chops were delicious as was the creamed spinach. We will definitely go back.

Yelp
This place is probably the slowest restaurant in Murfreesboro. I'm really tired of wasting my time waiting for orders here. I do not recommend anyone go here because they cannot get their to go service in order, and a lot of people are rude or dismissive that work here. You will just be standing there waiting for an order and nobody will help you. If someone does acknowledge you, it's to ask you to move to a different place. I cannot for the life of me understand why orders take 20 plus minutes past the pick up time. They need to fix their to go service and pick up times. Apparently this restaurant likes to waste people's time for some reason. I understand waiting some, but it's absolutely ridiculous. The only one there that seems professional is this one manager who is probably in his 40's or early 50's. I used to eat here about once a month, but stopped. I'm definitely not going back again after how terrible it's ran!
google avatar

Latonya S.

Yelp
Reliable date night and special occasion. If I lived closer I would dine here more often.
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
Food: meat is fresh. Corn brûlée was delicious Greater customer service. Long waiting time on weekends Parking was easy Recommend this place!
google avatar

Chuck C.

Yelp
A bit pricey for bland but well-prepared food with small side portions. My mains all fit this description; rosemary chicken and chopped steak. The exception is the filling tamale cakes: about as expensive as a main, these get flavor from the pico de gallo and crema. I would have liked detectable cilantro and some jalapeños in the pico. If you're stuck in extreme cold weather or have a small appetite and like bland food with the willingness to pay the prices, then this is for you.
google avatar

Jane A.

Yelp
Yes! These employees and their food are a home run! We were greeted at the door, one of our party is in a wheelchair and the young lady held the door and then patiently waited while we made it to our table The food was delish. The deviled egg appetizer was tasty. For dinner, I had a chopped steak, others had a pasta dish. Another had a dinner salad, the remaining guests had different fish. ALL were served hot and cooked to perfection. Dessert was a special treat. Try the homemade ice cream! One suggestion for improvement? Additional handicapped parking, or maybe add a ramp on the take-out side? Getting a full grown man in his wheelchair up to the door was a little bit of a challenge. Do-able with my son's help, but not sure my mom would make it on her own. ** Dining tip: make a reservation and avoid the wait.

Kristen R.

Yelp
Hands down one of the best experiences at a restaurant yet! Hannah was our server and that chick was so amazing! She made sure that we were well cared for, had our drinks filled before we even finished half and made sure that we had enough bread, butter and that our food, which by the way came out faster than expected was perfect and that we weren't needing anything else. The restaurant Manager walked around to each table checking in on everyone and made sure everyone was happy and well cared for. The restaurant is so beautiful, clean, comfortable and romantic. We have been here many times and each time it's exceptional!
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Came here for our anniversary lunch right when they opened up. Got seated right away and our drinks came out quickly. We ordered off the lunch menu I got the pork chops and my husband got the fried chicken both plates came out with good portions and we also got a deviled egg appetizer and side salads that were also good sized. The food all had great flavor, and came out in a good order rotation so you had plenty of time to finish each item before the next came out. Food portions are very good for the price. Staff was friendly and quick with refills and checking on you through out your meal. Plenty place to park but this place does get busy so prepare for that especially on the weekends. Only wish we hadn't gotten so full to have tried dessert...maybe next time. We will for sure be back again probably for our birthdays as they are coming up soon.
google avatar

Mel W.

Yelp
Love to spend special occasions here. The last time I visited, the wait time was kind of long, and our food was delayed for nearly an hour after ordering. The manager did rectify the issue by offering a complimentary dessert, and discounted the meal. When the food arrived, the quality was excellent!

Kelsey Rose W.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE PREGNANT. Made a reservation to celebrate my birthday here with my family (party or 3) and I'm currently 34 weeks pregnant. I couldn't fit in the booth and so we asked if they could accommodate shifting us to a table. The hostess noted the booths are really small so clearly we aren't the first to address this. We figured there would be a wait but our hostess said they'd give us an update on table availability. 30 min later we checked in and they said they wouldn't be able to seat up for an hour and a half. If we hadn't checked, they would've let us sit there for nearly 2 hours. For a restaurant that prides itself on being "family friendly", this was such atrocious front of house handling. Avoid if you are pregnant -- or if you are plus size.

Yelp
Steak Delmonico was thin and burned! Taste was mehhh. Salad, sides & calamari were mediocre Service is good. Lighting is good

Yelp
I mean i've been to this place twice now and I had the pork the first time and let's say it was still squealing. went again today to give this place another shot for a date night and Wow oh wow talk about strike 2 on the lamb chop, It was so so raw I had to send it back .... Safe to say it hurts being let down twice
