Yelp
A friend suggested going to the Churchville Inn since she has never been there.
I have on several occasions, but I stopped for several years. Due to the quality of food and service for some.
Well, I decided to give them a try one more time.
Let's break it down:
Ribs - not enough sauce, fatty, first portion given, over cooked a bit
Crab Cakes: pretty good, however, was broken up, instead it being serve in a ball form, together, like normal.
Baked potato: cold
Corn bread: dry, over cooked, taste was not good
Server: was pleasant for the most part. But, got a little frustrated with bringing back the food. Could not understand the ribs not being good when they are known for that.
All in all, lousy dinner and service was, for the most part, pretty good.
What servers really need to understand, is, their will be constructive criticism, not everyone has the same palettes, the kitchen could have an off night, and the quality of meats are not always consistent.
More importantly, a server should not make any comments to a paying customer ( your tip). They just should say, "I am sorry, and I will take care of this.
My reason for 3 stars is because, for the most part, the waitress made our experience a little pleasant.
The food, however, should be 2 stars
