The Corner at Selfridges - Review - London - The Infatuation

"Jackson Boxer At The Corner @ Selfridges / Mon-Sun / Indefinitely Jackson Boxer—the chef behind Brunswick House—is also behind this residency on the second floor of one of London’s most popular shopping destinations, Selfridges. The menu includes things like smoked butter tagliolini, pumpkin ravioli with chilli and sage, and potato cake with cod’s roe and chives. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

First impressions wowow the sounds system is so amazing. No others cinema in London can compare with this one. I watched F1 movie today at screen 3. There are only 3 rows a,b and c. I think the best seat is row is C although row A can stretch your legs. Seat is comfortable and so soft. It can recline as well. The interior design feels like back to 70s-80s. The screen is a little bit too small but I will come back to watch another movie at other screens. £20 with such premium quality experiences. I highly recommend people who love watching movies should come here to enjoy amazing experiences.

It's a lovely cinema. The staff are fantastic. Really nice people. Loved the bar and snacks. Seats are great. The only negative is the emergency exit lights on either side on the screen. I know they have to be on but we saw the Sinners and all the dark scenes were washed out by both of the lights illuminating the screen. They seemed to cast a rainbow shaped line of light across the whole screen that was again most visible in the dark scenes. Still really enjoyed it and will definitely come back next time we're in London.

This is the kind of place that makes going to the cinema feel special again. Just when Oxford Street is slowly declining, Selfridges steps up with one of the best cinemas in London. Pros: • Fun and eclectic decor designed to appeal to cinephiles. • Doors show not only “Programme start time”, but also the specific “Film Start” and “Film End” times. • Seats are incredibly comfortable and recline a long way back for comfort. Front row gets footstools. Cons: • Screens are not very big, but then they never are at independent cinemas and it doesn’t spoil the experience. • Sound was definitely a touch quiet. Usually the “Dolby Atmos” promo makes your body vibrate, not here. Three screens in all: screen one has 70 seats, screen two 59 seats, and screen three a mere 28 seats. Tickets are £20 (except before 4pm Monday to Thursday when they are £15), reasonable for a premium experience. You can access the cinema either from within Selfridges or via its own dedicated street entrance (and steps down to the basement level). If you found my review or photos helpful please leave a quick thumbs up 👍 Thank you!

Very nice cinema, the rooms are cosy, they do not have too many seats, making the movie experience more intimate. You can buy popcorn and drinks at the entrance and there is a lovely bar too. You can bring drinks inside and all seats are equipped with a small table. Food can be ordered as well at the entrance, but you need to bring it to your seat yourself. Tickets are reasonably priced - around 20£! Definitely recommended!

From the moment we walked in we received a very warm and friendly welcome from the staff. We sat and sipped cocktails whilst a beautiful string quartet played classic movie themes. The auditorium is small with very comfortable reclining plush red seats. With extra-wide armrests and a very handy side table. The sound quality is second to none. I'd booked this as part of my best friend's birthday surprise. What a fantastic experience. I can't wait to come back 5star + returned yesterday and had another enjoyable time. Updated after Selfridges Cinema response: It’s great to know that your toilets are still open. However what happened was that when we came in for our movie, we went to get some coffee at your bar and to check about the toilets as the ones to the right from it seemed closed. He confirmed to us that yes, the toilets are closed. We weren’t general public as you implied in your response, but this is what we were told by your staff - that we need to go to the shop floor.

Fantastic venue. I went for a private DJ book signing and Q&A with audience. Free flowing champagne throughout the evening. Nice decor and surroundings with complementing lighting for atmosphere in the bar area. Comfortable seating in the theatre space.

This is really a great kept cinema with such an intimate feel and great service. The rooms look immaculate and so does the waiting area. We came to watch everything, everywhere all at once and it was a good experience in this cinema. We were in the smallest screen but the seats were so comfy and they were recliners and you had a small table for yourself. This really gives a luxury old school vibe and I would definitely recommend going here for the experience. Tickets are £20 which is pricy for a cinema ticket but you also pay for the comfort.
