When It Comes to Vegan Dining, New Yorkers’ Appetites Have Changed | Eater NY

"I saw the food truck Cinnamon Snail as a rare bridge between the high and low camps: its maple mustard tempeh sandwich struck me as both filling and artfully conceived; the truck closed in 2020 but exemplified that middle ground." - Mayukh Sen

I worked with Adam (Cinnamon Snail) to cater my wedding for 110 people - cocktail hour, dinner, dessert and Sunday brunch. I didn't think it would be possible to have an entirely vegan wedding, with actually delicious food, until I found Adam. The quality and complexity of his food completely exceeded my expectations - it is SOO yummy! And I am a total snob when it comes to good vegan food. Working with Adam to craft our menu was an absolute dream. He was the only vendor I worked with for our wedding that I didn't have to second guess or worry about. He was incredibly timely, organized, helpful, kind and he really cared about making our day special. His staff was excellent and our venue said they left the place the cleanest they have ever seen. I'm already trying to come up with a reason to have another event just so I can work with Adam and eat his food again!

I’ve been following along and making some of Adam’s recipes recently and am so happy with the results. In particular, the chorizo tostados are outstanding! The tofu chorizo is easy to make and so meaty and flavorful. The cabbage slaw was a huge hit and I’ve made that several times as a side to other meals. Adam doesn’t miss a detail, explains each step, is always funny, and the results are great!

Best food I’ve ever eaten. Dave is used to eating spider eggs out of an old clown costume’s pockets, so his palate is way more refined that the avg New Yorker. Chef Sobel one read my order back to me as a string of budget action movie characters and particle physics terminology, and when it came out it was exactly what I wanted.

I love Chef Adam’s food, his style, his humor, and his compassion. His recipes are thorough and easy to follow and informative. He is revolutionizing the way people look at vegan food.

got the opportunity to experience the cinnamon snail for the first time in years last night and it was fantastic! Sure, there was a wait. But if anyone remembered the food truck or the spot by MSG — there was always a wait! My family and I raved about the food and were so happy to relive the experience. Thank you to Adam and everyone who worked on creating a great event!

The Cinnamon Snail, in it’s current form as pop ups, or the absolute OG it is, deserves nothing less than five stars. The food, the people, the vibes, it’s all perfect. We miss the food truck at the farmers market and your location at The Pennsy, but that’s not anything an Intergalactic Megastallion can’t candle! 10/10. Legendary.
