The Classic Thornton Park

Great food in a great location of Thornton Park. Nothing too fancy, just good food done right. Burger was cooked perfectly and had a nice grill taste. Wings were crispy and full of MEAT! My husband’s chicken sandwich was also quite delicious. But… what stole the show is those fries! I’ve never had that shape of French Fry before, like a curly fry made love to a potato wedge and I’m totally digging it👌

Food is top notch. Service was great. Wish it was closer to home (we're from Tampa) 11/10 will be making the drive to return. Burger and BBQ wings. And obviously cheese curds!! **Update: came back the next day for breakfast. Still a solid 15/10. Biscuits and gravy and breakfast burrito 🤤

We were just passing by and wanted to give this place a try. I have no words to describe how good and flavorful the food was!! I wasn’t expecting much, but now it is one of my favorite place to eat in the area!! The meat was amazing, it was tender and seasoned well. I forgot the name but definitely ask about it!! Also it’s nice to sit at the bar next door and play pool :)

I’m at The Classic, the vibe is just right tonight. Great atmosphere, good music, and even better company. Don’t go changing 🎶 Sweet Dreams playing in the background, perfect way to end the night! ✨🍸

The food here is genuinely good — no complaints on the quality at all. But the customer service needs tightening. When I handed the clerk my money, he placed my change on the counter instead of in my hand. It’s a small detail, but it comes across as disengaged and unprofessional. Same with the greeting — “Hey, my boy” isn’t the right tone when you’re walking into a business. I didn’t take it as disrespect, just not the level of professionalism you’d expect. Great food, solid spot — but the front-end interaction could be sharper. If they clean that up, this place would be an easy 5 stars.

I had the Fridge, and it is up there with one of the more memorable burgers I’ve had! The beef and sausage patties along with the “door” sauce had an incredible savory, salty, smoky, and some tangy sweetness as well. I can’t tell you enough about the dill ranch. It is unique and tastes a lot like dill but if you like dill and you like ranch, then this is something you will want to try. It’s not overpowering by any means, just a robust dill flavor. The potato wedges and chicken tenders were a nice surprise. They are not your average chicken tender or potato wedge. The wedges were fried to dare I say perfection. Crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. I will definitely be back in the next time I’m in Orlando. Big fan of the honey mustard as well! The staff was so welcoming and friendly!

We walked into the restaurant and staff were immediately rude to us. We also were given exactly 15 seconds to look at the menu before the server asked us what we wanted. We ordered some burgers and tenders, but unfortunately the tenders are terrible. These are pre-frozen chicken tenders that taste like what you would get at a school cafeteria. They are also heavily salted at the restaurant. I will give props to their crispy potato wedge fries. These were actually pretty good. I had asked for a side of a specific sauce, and when I got my meal, it was not there. I then went inside to ask, and they told me that they don’t even have that sauce. This would’ve been good to know when they said they would get me at after I placed the order. Seating is also bad. They have limited outdoor seating, however, they have very interesting people that can walk up and down the area and disrupt your meal. In the end, this is not a place that I can recommend at all due to the extremely poor service and rude staff, terrible food, and overall a very off vibe.

My girlfriend and I went out last Wednesday night looking to satisfy our burger craving, and The Classic absolutely destroyed. Amazing burgers, and extremely friendly staff. We got the classic and the fridge. Both fantastic. Also tried the, tots, onion rings and fries. The fries are a unique cut, sort of petal style. I think those were the best of the three options. Onion rings were good, but definitely better when dipped in their house BBQ sauce. The only thing I'd note for awareness is parking is scarce, mostly street options so be prepared for that. The other is that The Classic itself doesn't have seating. Once you order you can take your number out on the patio or into the adjoining bar and they will bring your order to you. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind if you have some environment sensitivity. We will definitely be back to try the wings and poutine, but looked great and were recommended by the staff.

I ordered a Vanilla Milkshake and Thunder Chicken with Fries. The milkshake was nothing special and was so thick I had to keep pulling the straw out just to sip it. Honestly a spoon would've been better. The sandwich was pretty good, though I didn't realize "Thunder" meant spicy BBQ sauce, so I was surprised when it arrived smothered in sauce. The highlight for me was definitely the fries. I've never seen them cut that way before, and they were quite tasty. I also liked that the place stays open late and has a bar next door with a few arcade games. On the downside, there's very little seating and the service was incredibly slow.

The cheeseburger was $12something. It came with fries. I asked for ketchup for my fries. He said you'll get everything. The ketchup was in 1 small pouch for the burger, and 1 dip pouch for the fries, which I had to use some for the burger. The burger was average, thin smash burger type. Can only get it well done because thin. Cheese was average American cheese. Fries were odd shaped but tasty, very little, not very much. I ordered & received a cup of water. Order at the counter & they'll bring it out to you when ready. No napkins. I tipped a dollar when I paid. I don't know if I would've received a napkin had I tipped more. It's quiet outside, a good location. They get busy during sports events. I didn't see any TVs outside.

Great wings! I never order wings when I go out to eat but my friend recommended this spot and said their wings are great and she was right! Their homemade ranch is different from your average ranch, I think it has more dill in it and it's really thick but I enjoyed it. The pretzel bites and cheese was interesting, I wasn't expecting the cheese to be cold but it wasn't bad. I also love that you can order here, take a number and go to the bar next door and they will bring the food to you at the bar. I'll be back :)

You could call this place a hidden gem but if you were in the Thorton Park or downtown Orlando area, you probably know about this place. Wings are expensive but I'm glad the lightning flavored wings hit on flavor. I also tried the Pot Roast Heater. Don't worry about it being spicy because it was not but it was great with flavor and the amount of meat. I sat inside Burtons bar and they were able to bring the food right over to me. The inside of the restaurant is small but you were able to eat outside. The prices are fair so I have no problem. Check this place out again.

Love that place is connected to Burton's and that they bring you food to your table at the bar/ outside the bar. Went last night to watch the Super Bowl and got a table outside on their faux patio extension between the sidewalk and the road. Saw the neon sign "Ice Cream Solves Everything" but first wanted to start with food. Eyeing the menu, I originally wanted to get a Beer Bratwurst, cause I love a good brat. But on the menu, their Bratty Melt (basically a patty melt with a sausage bratwurst patty) caught my attention. When asking the cook at the counter who took my order, he said that it was his favorite thing on the menu. And boy, did it not disappoint. The perfection of the crispy rye bread, the sauerkraut/ mustard ratio, the perfectly cooked sausage meat. When I tell you, I'm still thinking about that sandwich. Their french fries were fun, ear shaped that you don't see too often, very comparable to a less dense potato wedge. I'm actively trying to figure out when I'll return next, as I did not sadly get an ice cream sandwich to solve everything... yet.

Good food that comes out quick, now that's a win-win. It's even better when there's something for everyone. Plenty of choices for my veggie friends makes life easier. No need for endless menu scrolling or substitutions here. Just good vibes, tasty bites, and happy tummies all around.

I had heard so much about this place and was really looking forward to trying it. I was really craving wings and heard that the wings were really good so decided to give it a try. Also ordered a burger and fries so I can get a feel of the food. The burger was good. The fries were tasty. I also saw that the restaurant offered a fish and shrimp meal that I really wanted to try but unfortunately it was only offered on certain days of the week. I inquired if it would be possible to try it today and luckily the restaurant had the ingredients in stock and was able to accommodate my request. So happy that the staff was able to assist so I could try the seafood. The seafood platter was the meal I enjoyed the most and was delicious. After hearing so much about the chicken wings I figured the chicken wings would be my favorite. The wings were breaded and fried and were lightly sauced. I prefer non breaded and really saucy wings. I'm not sure if the restaurant offers non breaded wings but think that I would have enjoyed them more if they were non breaded and had more sauce on them. The restaurant is definitely off the beaten path and more so well known by locals. It's a smaller restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining options. The restaurant is also split into two parts one section for dine in and the other section for pickup for those placing takeout orders.

We went here after a late show on a Sunday evening. They have a unique menu and accommodated my dietary needs perfectly. The people working there were friendly and service was quick. We grabbed a table outside as the bar was full, just had to sit away from outdoor smokers. The food we had was really good and would go back again.

Ok so I've been here once before and I got the deviled wgg sandwich and I LOVED it... it was so unique and I was hesitant, but I loved deviled eggs and hard boiled eggs so I gave it a try. The staff is also always super sweet but tonight I ordered the same sandwich to go and when I opened it, it was missing the eggs... it literally has egg in the name and somehow they still forgot it which was very disappointing. And maybe I missed it? I added a photo but if I did miss it then it's almost worse because it would mean they don't add enough egg for one to notice it's there. Regardless, the first time I had it I was impressed but this time was definitely upsetting. I could have put two pieces of salami on a sandwich with LTO easily at home.

Cheese curds. The end. That's it. Do it. Yeah, good burger, nice staff, blah blah blah CHEESE CURDS.

I had the pleasure of visiting this place as I was going to another event in Orlando. The staff were great in attending me. I tried out some of thier best sellers and boy was I satisfied with thier food. First off, the milkshakes are a must. I tried thier Root Beer one and it was amazing. The Pretzels Bites and the Chesse Curds are great side snacks with your entrée. Thier Chicken Wings are saucy. Thier Burgers are phenomenal. Mouthwatering and delicious .

These guys know what they're doing! Nothing like a hot and fresh breakfast burrito to go with some beverages at Burton's next door. Brian and staff are welcoming and bring your food next door while you enjoy watching sports and cocktails.

Came to grab a bite to eat and brought it to burtons next door . The cheeseburger was good and we have been before and the wings were good. The chicken tenders were really sad. People were really nice and we would come back, but never getting the chicken tenders again.

We have came to this restaurant before, it's been a while but they never disappoint us! The beignets were AMAZING! My bf loved the waffles, they were the sugar pearl kind. The gentlemen were so kind, amazing service! It is limited to outdoor seating & the bar next door. Overall I would definitely return!

Food is amazing....Staff could be friendlier. Asked for napkins to kill ants on the outdoor table and the guy sighed heavily as if I was asking too much

Their burgers are to die for! The staff is always polite and patience with me when I swing by. It usually takes me a minute to make up my mind because they have so many great options.

Food was slammin and drinks were tasty! Great experience overall! The cook is doing awesome :)

Great spot. Had the bratty patty. It was very good. Fries were excellent as well. Street parking can be a bit of a struggle. Connected to the bar next door for seating.

Didn't eat much, just an order of poutine (the reason for my visit) and a vanilla shake, but both were delicious. The staff was friendly, the wait time was reasonable, and the outdoor seating looked very pleasant. Definitely recommended!

One of the best burgers I have had in a long time! I tried the "burger of the week" which featured a double cheeseburger with cheese, bacon, and some spicy HP sauce. Their burger for the week can be found on their Instagram and I highly recommend their other weekly specials. Staff is friendly and you can even have it delivered to you at the bar next door (burtons). Must stop for a solid burger in Thornton Park!

Omg! Love this place. It's a small venue but everything that comes out tasting so yummy and the staff is always on point. There are so many restaurants in around Lake Eola where the service is always less than par, The classic never disappoints. Stop by , sit outside and enjoy the view!

I ordered the chicken tenders w fries to go. But When I got home to eat it, I was Highly disappointed by the portion given. Ordered a little after 12am. If that matters. The worker who took my order was informative on the questions I had in regards of the menu, due to this being my first time ordering from them. So I give them A+ on that I also ordered a burger. And I can say the burger was delicious. But other than that, the portion as seen in pic. Can't be accepted out here in Thornton park

Cheeseburgers are my favorite food and am always trying to find the best. This place has the best burger I've ever had hands down! I got a regular cheese burger and my boyfriend got the cheeseburger of the week. They were SO juicy and the seasoning was spectacular. Definitely my new favorite burger spot and will be coming all the time

Great staff. My daughter and i stopped here and split a burger. She has a chocolate milkshake and said it was really good . The staff was so friendly. Would go back !

Great spot for late night greasy food... and the milkshakes always hit the spot. The service is always on point small to go spot that whips up fire. The ambiance is chill with some outdoor seating and a bar next door. I end up in that area every time I'm in the area for a good vibe and satisfying food.

The poutine was good. The Bratty Melt had a low meat to bread ratio. Flavors were good but just a lot of bread. (I think this would be awesome with the smashed sausage and a beef patty on it!) Service was on point, fast and informative.

Absolutely delightful! Thornton Park is in dire need of some late night deliciousness, and this really fits the bill. We ordered at 12:30 (30 minutes before close!!): The Fridge w/no Tomatoes All Beef Hotdog w/light Onions 2 sides of house fries/chips Soft Pretzels 2 Cinnamon Rolls - The Fridge was a smash hit, love the brat patty. Not much else to say! Definitely a safe option. - The hotdog was only okay, if we are being honest. Even with light onions, the raw onion gives too much bite paired with the spicy dijon. Cant go wrong with a grilled hotdog though, which we pulled out and ate alone. - The pretzels are incredible! The dijon has a wonderful heat and bite, and the pretzels have a nice airy texture with a crisp bite. - The house fries are absolutely killer. Perfect in all ways, not too salty and perfectly starchy. - THE CINNAMON ROLLS?? insane. I really hope you guys start having them everytime!! Great service all together, order was ready within 10 minutes of placing. Delicous!

We visited here for NYE and were blown away by the food! We got the pretzel grilled cheese and the deviled egg sandwich and were left speechless. The deviled egg sandwich was something that intrigued us and it sure didn't let us down. The flavors are unbelievable. The prices were cheap and the service was impeccable. Despite being new years and very busy, they were still quick and friendly! Highly recommend!!!!

Great burger but, it's the shake that made my visit great. Loved the outdoor seating and location. A must have if you are into the Thorton Park area.

The food took forever to come out, the lady at the front was so rude for no reason. Our food was cold and there is NO seasoning at all!!! bland and cold. please avoid.

This place is great. Classic food with a slight twist for the better. The brunch on the weekends is fantastic and the place just has a fun, nostalgic feeling of good food you grew up with.

Great Classic Burger. Got mine tonight without cheese. I will be back soon! Close to home as well.

ADDICTED..... to the BEST Ranch Dill Sauce in Otown!!! BIG RAVE for THE CLASSIC in Thornton Park!!! The cheeseburgers are cooked to perfection. The owner, Brian, and his staff definitely take pride in making your food dreams come true!! YOU MUST GIVE THE CLASSIC A TRY....YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!

This breakfast was so I good I'll be going back tomorrow. It's a limited menu breakfast but includes coffee or juice for $12 which is quite the value in Thornton Park. Weather is perfect for dining outside. Order at the counter and have a seat outside at the picnic table and they will bring it out to you. Delicious!

I normally don't crave burgers but after eating at the classic, I can't stop thinking about their burger "The fridge". It's a juicy burger, well-seasoned, the perfect amount of sauce, and doesn't lack on the veggies. Service is always kind and friendly. Big kudos to them for working late nights! Outdoor seating only but no complaints here, it's nice for people watching.

Had their burger if the week tonight and it was probably one of the best burgers I have had in Orlando. Definitely worth a try if you haven't yet.
