"The Cleat is a slightly hard-to-find Key Biscayne bar with a view that’s worth shedding a tear. This place is located inside Bill Baggs State Park on the southern tip of Key Biscayne. And it has the best waterfront view of any bar in the entire city. It’s hard to describe without using cliche adjectives like breathtaking, especially at sunset. The Cleat has a very Keys vibe, occasional live music, and every seat in the house provides a view of Biscayne Bay you’d normally have to purchase a $300 bottle of vodka to enjoy. There is an $8 per vehicle fee to get into the park, but tell them you’re going to The Cleat and they (should) let you in for free." - ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino, virginia otazo

"MIAMI Going to The Cleat is a bit of a mission because of its location inside a Florida state park on the southern tip of Key Biscayne. However, it is incredibly worth it to find one of the best waterfront bars in Miami. The view is hard to describe without using cliche adjectives like breathtaking, especially at sunset. "Going to The Cleat is a bit of a mission because of its location inside Bill Baggs State Park on the southern tip of Key Biscayne. However, it is incredibly worth it and the best waterfront bar in the city. And that is almost entirely because of the view. It’s hard to describe without using cliche adjectives like “breathtaking”, especially at sunset. The Cleat has a very Keys vibe, occasional live music, and every seat in the house provides a view of Biscayne Bay you’d normally have to purchase a $300 bottle of vodka to enjoy. There is an $8 per vehicle fee to get into the park, but tell them you’re going to The Cleat and they (should) let you in for free. This is a great day drinking option, especially if you time your visit during sunset. " - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo
"It’s a bit of a mission to get to The Cleat. The entirely outdoor bar is located inside a state park in Key Biscayne. So why should you worry about finding your way there? Because this is the greatest waterfront bar in the entire city. That is 100% because of the view. You won’t find impressive cocktails here (stick to beer) but you will find a 360 degree view of Biscayne Bay that will make steel drums unconsciously start playing in your head. Happy Hour here can save you a four hour drive to Key West." - ryan pfeffer
