The 15 Best Outdoor Bars In London

"Private beach clubs are essential in the summer. Well, they are for people who live in places that have access to beaches that don’t involve confronting a Hyde Park swan. But if you’re after that whole pastel cushions and pass-me-the-towel look then Skylight, a huge rooftop bar in Peckham, has got you covered. You’re here for the sunset views and casually taking a selection of thirst-trap pictures with your spritz. There’s often live music in the bar inside, which yes, will also make for an excellent background cocktail content soundtrack. " - heidi lauth beasley, sinead cranna

5 Exciting Things To Eat & Do Between September 10th - 12th

"Remember all the time you planned to spend sipping martinis on a rooftop before the British weather humbled you? Well according to the weather app, this weekend is going to be above 20 degrees (hallelujah) which means it’s your chance to live the hot vax summer you deserve. Book a table at this new rooftop terrace in Peckham where you can get cocktails, bottomless brunch, and a view of London (hopefully with no rain)." - rianne shlebak

We had seafood gumbo (one and only main course in the menu !) and Cajun fries. The gumbo was £24. It was tasty, but we both felt hungry afterward! The portion was small for the price and not a whole lot of seafood. Just bits of frozen shrimp and squids and tiny veg with rice. Plus we waited 45 mins for our food, far too slow. The live salsa performance was great. I would come back for the music but skip the food.

Took my mum here for Saturday lunch and it was brilliant! The Front Desk Reception staff, (I’ve forgotten his name 😞) was fantastic and although we had to move tables, he was extremely considerate and helpful. The food was great, but the green plaintain was a bit too dry for my taste. The chicken with the sauce dip was delicious. The live music was a joy to listen to and the atmosphere was 10/10. The only snag was the intermittent power cuts due to surrounding building works, but everyone used this to create a cheerful atmosphere and the musicians really put in the work to keep us thoroughly entertained! Loved it!

CLF has a nice atmosphere and the cocktails are decent but the food was really not good. Ordered the steak and it was the worst one I've ever had. I couldn't cut it and it was all fatty and inedible. The staff were nice and accepted my complaint and there was no issue but felt so unwell after it. My friends had the fried chicken which had little meat on it and looked over fried and the "gravy" was more like siracha than gravy

Great place, the only annoying thing is that you have to pay straight away at the table once you order something. If you have table service then you should be able to pay at the end. Anyways, food was delicious and so were the drinks! Good cocktails and they have happy hour until 7pm (cocktails only). Ambiance is nice, and the rooftop is beautiful. I recommend!

Cool space. Fun evening. Great music! We went for an event Saturday evening. Paid £5 for entry to the salsa event. We were moved downstairs by 6 pm as they do a second event. We didn’t know this when we paid the entry but in the end it was fine, I really liked the downstairs area as well. It was nice to experience both. The margarita was ok and I also got an interesting honey cider. Overall I would go back.

Food is always on point. Drinks are well priced, strong and flavoursome. The music is what sometimes lets down the night. It's like they sometimes don't, or can't, read the room and play some music that doesn't want to make anyone get up and dance. Always book in advance. The rooftop is where it's at 🕺🕺🕺

My friends and I stopped here for the gumbo after seeing a video on TikTok. As we walked through, we noticed the clientele seemed more from the regeneration era, rather than the original Peckham I remember. The cocktails were very nice, and the interior was alright, but the gumbo was underwhelming. The corn bread was the best thing on the plate, the crab was too small, and the only proteins in the dish were crab and prawns. The sauce was just… there. I’d actually recommend the chicken instead—it was a generous portion and very well seasoned. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend the gumbo.

Soft jazz at the bottom, party vibes at the top. Food takes ages to come, but it's decent when it does come, drinks are nice and strong. The staff add to the vibe and the DJ was good, the music was loud but weirdly you could still have conversation, the perfect balance.
