The CLF Art Lounge & Roof Garden

Took my mum here for Saturday lunch and it was brilliant! The Front Desk Reception staff, (I’ve forgotten his name 😞) was fantastic and although we had to move tables, he was extremely considerate and helpful. The food was great, but the green plaintain was a bit too dry for my taste. The chicken with the sauce dip was delicious. The live music was a joy to listen to and the atmosphere was 10/10. The only snag was the intermittent power cuts due to surrounding building works, but everyone used this to create a cheerful atmosphere and the musicians really put in the work to keep us thoroughly entertained! Loved it!

Cool space. Fun evening. Great music! We went for an event Saturday evening. Paid £5 for entry to the salsa event. We were moved downstairs by 6 pm as they do a second event. We didn’t know this when we paid the entry but in the end it was fine, I really liked the downstairs area as well. It was nice to experience both. The margarita was ok and I also got an interesting honey cider. Overall I would go back.

Great place, the only annoying thing is that you have to pay straight away at the table once you order something. If you have table service then you should be able to pay at the end. Anyways, food was delicious and so were the drinks! Good cocktails and they have happy hour until 7pm (cocktails only). Ambiance is nice, and the rooftop is beautiful. I recommend!

Food is always on point. Drinks are well priced, strong and flavoursome. The music is what sometimes lets down the night. It's like they sometimes don't, or can't, read the room and play some music that doesn't want to make anyone get up and dance. Always book in advance. The rooftop is where it's at 🕺🕺🕺

Great atmosphere, but the drinks ordering service on the rooftop is absolutely terrible. Everyone in my party had significant issues with getting the website to work. There were also huge delays in getting drinks - 20 minutes plus. On one round, I still hadn’t received my drink after 30 minutes. It turned out they had dumped it on the table we ordered it to, even though the website said it was still being prepared, and we were standing very nearby. What’s wrong with good old fashioned bar service?

CLF provides the perfect venue for many occasions; leaving drinks, a small wedding, post match or birthday drinks. Have been here for different occasions and it is always a consistent and reliable venue. Staff are always attentive. Love the aesthetic of the rooftop and is fully weather proof even in Storm Bert!

Before I start, atmosphere and music inside is very good. The fried chicken might appear a good size on your plate but the entire thing is just thick batter and is totally tasteless. The plantain was ok. Some staff are nice but others were so SO rude. If you were going for drinks on the rooftop and some music after, it’s a great spot. But food and service is weak.

An elegant and fun venue, the layout and decor never fails to impress. It has downstairs rooms and a rooftop, which in winter is covered to keep the warmth in - there are also lots of floor heaters - despite this it still can be a bit chilly there in winter so I recommend bringing a coat. There is often live music, sometimes on a stage on the rooftop, for our visit the live music was inside, the inside area is cozy and nicely lit so a perfect place for a date. The food is currently by an independent pop-up called Boca Chica. I was really excited to try Dominican food but sadly was disappointed as while all of our dishes were nicely seasoned they were really, really dry. So while it isn't necessary the venue's fault about thr food, I wouldn't recommend for dinner (but most definitely recommend the cocktails and bar). The venue staff are also not that friendly or attentive, we had been left a long time without any service (venue also uses a QR code) but still no one checked to see if we were ok or needed drinks- we'd have spent a lot more if they had. Still though, all things considered, it really is a special venue and definitely worth a visit - also a good place to consider if you're having a birthday party or a gathering, the venue is also available for private hire.
