Exciting Restaurants to Try in San Jose 2025 | Eater

"Its perch on a pedestrian-friendly street in downtown San Jose gives this petite restaurant an “insiders only” feel. But the door is open for crab croquettes with Calabrian chile sauce and braised short ribs with demi-glace and parsnip puree. Many visit for brunch when the energy splashes out to outdoor tables piled with plates of shrimp and grits or biscuits and gravy. The cocktail menu changes each month so today’s espresso martini may soon give way to the Garden with gin, basil, and a squeeze of lime." - Christina Marie Mueller

One of the best dinners you’ll have in Downtown San Jose. This cozy gem, owned by a passionate couple, radiates warmth and care in every detail. You can truly feel the heart they’ve poured into the place. From cocktails and appetizers to entrées and desserts — everything was a perfect 10/10. The steak and salmon, in particular, were outstanding. Highly recommend

Google
Fantastic, low-key spot! Everything about this restaurant was great, from the relaxed feel inside to the perfectly crafted cocktails and savory plates. I had the braised short rib on a bed of creamy parsnip purée that was just amazing. It paired well with their mezcal cocktail. Would definitely recommend.

The Club is a great restaurant in downtown San Jose. It’s cozy inside but the vibe is great. This was our second time there and both were amazing. All of the food is plated Beautifully. The Chicken and Waffles are great. Crunchy chicken an a nice fluffy waffle. The Horchatta French toast is a basically a dessert but it’s so good. Their burger is great choice as well. The staff has been great to us so far. Glad we found this place. Now we have another great place to eat downtown!

ive eaten here for dinner and now for breakfast🍳. i love both of them, maybe breakfast a lil more. i do like the🍹 cocktails🍸 for dinner a lot more though AnothA good spot to keep in the breakfast rotation with bills cafe☕. reminds me of bills but on the upscale side. location is cool but the sidewalk on the corner is disgusting🤮... need to power wash that, had to take my shoes off b4 going back inside our home after. love everything else. eat outside on a beautiful day if u like, greeat shade with the big umbrellas⛱️. tight spot inside but worth the visit!! the shrimp 🍤 and grits is so delicious love the calamari🦑 had to do the hummus and ita house made and phenomenal the braised brisket🍖 was super soft with the carrots🥕 try the bartenders choice for drinks... u wont regret it... but live life on the edge ... take a chance even if it was wrong the breakfast: Chilaquiles is a hit!!! get the French Toast - anotha must! 🧇waffle n 🍗chicken🐣 was mid - chicken was a tad on the dull side - flavor could be more seasoned the get that sweet and savory recipe. but the waffle was good in my opinion. I wanna try the crab cake Benedict next!!! super excited

Google
Been here over 10 times. If you want the best drink in SJ ask Kat for the Sabrina Carpenter. Best Espresso martinis in the area. Best Calamari in a mile. Great food and good people make this a top spot in San Jose to visit. Daily and weekly menu so check before.

Google
My top 3 in San Jose, CA if you don’t have food restrictions. Great portions, great food (all, included the desserts!), drinks and the best service (Erika 🫶🏼✨) very on time!

Google
It was all very mediocre to me. I came to San Jose in hopes of good food, and this was something I stumbled upon. What I’d read/seen sounded amazing. What I got was mediocrity. —it at least made a good photo. Listen. It wasn’t the worst ever, but I’d probably never go back on my own.

Great food and drinks! Green chilaquiles and crab cake Benedict was delicious. I can't wait to come back and order the pasta and the berry french toast.

Yelp
My friend and I were walking along Post St. and noticed The Club. We popped in to grab cocktails and share a meal. This small but mighty restaurant was such a great find! I liked the intimacy of the place, and we enjoyed the food, hospitality, and prompt service. The last item on their cocktail menu appealed to my curiosity, which was "Bartender's choice." Naturally I was intrigued to find out what it was going to be. They didn't ask for my spirit preference or flavor palette, so I was really at the mercy of the bartender. I adored my cocktail, and it was incredibly unique. Imagine if pho was a cocktail. I know that sounds weird but can't knock it 'til you try it. Our seabass entree was excellent. I just love the flaky, buttery texture of seabass. Appreciated that they served us with a big cut of the fish, and it was beautifully plated over a bed of fluffy quinoa. I would order this dish again in a heartbeat. Looking forward to checking out The Club again soon, maybe next time for brunch!

Yelp
What an epic little find! We were in downtown SJ on a Saturday afternoon, and looking for a quick bite - found The Club on Post randomly on Google Maps and decided to give it a try. SO glad we did! As others have commented, this place in on the part of Post that's basically an alleyway in the "Qmunity" district. You could easily walk past it and miss it, so make sure to look for the signboard in front. Service was very pleasant, food was VERY good, and vibe was very chill. There was a party having fun at the table next to us, and because of the acoustics (no fabrics) it was a bit loud at times. If that bothers you, there are tables outside with full service. We had the burger, the truffle fries, bacon, beet salad -- all excellent. I was particularly impressed that when I asked to have the salmon (from another dish) added to the beet salad, the server didn't even bat an eye -- "Of course we can do that for you." Cocktails were lovely, including "Spirited" Agua Frescas -- a first for me. Papaya w/ vodka was pretty great...

Yelp
My bf and I were in the area for a few errands and we stumbled across this place. It's tucked on Post street with cute shops nearby like Moments SJ and Tiny Keyboard shop. It was Saturday around lunchtime and not too busy at all. We were seated immediately. The interior design reminded me of Palm Desert vibes. It's a small restaurant but they have a full bar and nice decorations. We ordered the avocado toast ($24), horchata french toast ($22), and truffle fries ($16). The truffle fries came first. They were fine--crispy and garlicky. A good shareable! Then we got our entrees maybe 10-15 min later. The horchata french toast tasted more like a berry french toast with cinnamony ice cream. It was still good though, but it wasn't really giving horchata. The berry compote was nice and sweet. The bread they used was nicely toasted and buttery. My avocado toast was mehh. I felt like the slice of bread was so big compared to how much salmon and avocado I got. The avocado was a super thin layer. But I did get two poached eggs which were cooked fine. Honestly the brunch didn't stand out too much to me, but it wasn't horrible. Still a cute spot in DTSJ.

Yelp
My friends and I made a reservation at the Club on Post about three weeks ago, for a little catch up dinner before going to see the Mouse Trap at the City Lights Theatre down the road. The restaurant is located in a little blocked off alley that you can only access by walking in. There are several parking lots nearby and we found one for about $8 for two hours, covered lot and all that. There are several cute stores nearby which are great to peruse and browse while waiting. We walked in and were immediately greeted and the server asked if we had a reservation. I said yes and they had a lovely table with a stunning floral arrangement all set up for us. If you are in a larger group you'll probably be at that same table - half the table are chairs the other side is a bench, so choose the chair if you need back support. The menus change seasonally but there were some excellent choices ranging from appetizers like fries and calamari to main dishes with steak, seafood, burgers, etc. I did not notice any specifically vegan or vegetarian meals aside from the salads or the pasta I ordered which can be with and without protein. Water glasses were filled immediately and the ambiance inside was relaxed yet still upscale. We ordered truffle fries for the table and then ordered the following for entree: bucatini with vodka with shrimp, shrimp and grits, salmon and risotto, the post hamburger, and the Chilean sea bass. Also a side of mashed potatoes. Everything was gorgeous and the portions were veryyyyy generous. My pasta with shrimp was amazing, luxurious sauce and perfect noodles. Everyone loved their meals and truly ate every last bite! Towards my couple last bites I noticed something about my dish and told a server. The owner came out to apologize for the issue and he was so nice and friendly and apologetic. The best part is that he went to the back of the restaurant to investigate how it happened so he could ensure it wouldn't happen again. He then covered most of our meal and gave us a delightfully yummy crème brûlée which was so pretty and tasty. Overall, wonderful experience with a stellar staff and an awesome business owner. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food here was very good, I really enjoyed the steak and eggs and also the French toast! The environment is very small though, there's not much space in the restaurant. The service was also just mid, our waiter had a bit of an attitude, but overall it was fine.

Yelp
This restaurant does it all- it's great for any meal. Dinner is good, but I actually liked brunch more. They have 2 different kind of espresso martinis on the menu. The Chicken and Waffles were great and so were the chiliquiles. The calamari was a surprise slam dunk too!
google avatar

Yelp
Went here for dinner after hearing it was great! Can't agree more, definitely worth it. We had the burger, because the salmon risotto wasn't available that night. Burgers were very good. Great ambiance between the decor, music, lighting, and overall vibe. Only reason for 4 stars is the crazy up charge to change to truffle fries on the burger. $7 a piece ($14 total for two burgers) to change the fries on our burgers to truffle was a little wild. Also the calamari had Fresno chile peppers on the plate, that weren't in the description, so you can imagine our surprise when we bit into them thinking they were sweet peppers... They were SO spicy lol. Kind of funny in reflection but not fun in the moment. Overall worth a try!

Yelp
The crab cake Benedict was delicious and the potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Service was quick. The food came out pretty fast and the interior is cute and small. You'll have to find street parking or walk over from a nearby garage.

Yelp
Cute little spot for drinks and food! Came for happy hour from 5-7pm and sat outside. Parking in downtown is always a pain but loved the ambiance of this spot. The food was good! Got truffle fries and slider. And then ordered the vodka pasta which was favorite! So goood!

Yelp
(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is the most fabulous restaurant tucked away on Post! The street is closed off. Ooooh la la. Megan warmly greeted us. She is fantastic! Happily Ever After. Fabulous cocktail. My gosh what a way to begin the end of a looong day. It's like drinking a fairy tale! Espresso Martini. Such a pretty drink. cAMP here we come! Very Bond...sitting at a Cafe! Beet Salad. Watercress. Refreshing! Wholesome! Truffle Fries. mmhmm. Megan's fave. Soo good. Crab Croquette. Microgreens. Spicy marinara fantasy! Vodka Pasta. The IG model is a lush and if she's not drinking; she is eating Vodka. Short Ribs. My gosh. It is hearty! So scrumptuous. Microgreens. Sweet carrots. Satisfying! Creme Brulee avec Fresh Fruit. The perfect ending to a spectacular dining experience! Would order everything again! Thanks, Megan! Woohoo

Yelp
We were so happy that we finally tried this place. It is situated on an adorable little pedestrian alleyway in downtown San Jose. It is a tiny restaurant with a very well curated menu from the Chef. Surprisingly they have a full bar and a lot of cocktails to choose from as well. Not a lengthy wine list but they do also have beer and wine. We had a wonderful meal, including the chef's soup of the day, which we hear is one of his specialties. The service was excellent and very attentive. It's in a very aesthetic on the inside as well and a beautiful place to have a nice quiet and cozy meal. The crab cook hats were excellent as were the truffle fries. We also enjoyed the pasta, and brussels sprouts. Would definitely recommend checking this place out as a unique dining option downtown!

Yelp
The Club on Post was great! We came around 6:30pm on a Saturday but it wasn't very busy. Very cute ambiance and vibes. Our waiter checked on us numerous times and kept my water filled. I ordered the vodka pasta and it was delicious! For drinks we got the espresso martini and the "Telenovela" which I felt were very strong!

Yelp
Arriving at 1pm I was told there was a 30-45 min wait not bad. I recommend a reservation if you're pressed on time. Server said he would call yet didn't take my phone number or name down We came back and were seated promptly. Food was great friend had a burger not really pictured. We all had micheladas but tasted more lemony than a miche. They did have kids booster seats and kids cup so we were grateful for that. The staff kept trying to take our plates like 3 times at least. I was still eating The street is blocked and parking isn't the best. Place is super small so it feels cramped. I wouldn't come back but if you're looking to try the food is great!

Yelp
(DTSJ) Food: CLUB CHICKEN SANDWICH (8.8/10)-Ciabatta roll, grilled chicken breast, bacon strips, provolone cheese, pesto sauce, arugula, red pepper relish. Served with fries. Overall enjoyed this dish- bread was nice and crunchy. chicken was grilled well. Only critique is I wish there were more pesto which would have brought out more kick on the bite. I was able to custom the fries to truffle which they were generous on the portion. Fries were crispy however did not taste much truffle PAN SEARED ATLANTIC SALMON(8.5/10)- Cauliflower rice, snap peas, parsley cream sauce- a bit on the pricier side. The salmon was cooked well. Lacked a little flavor. Overall the dish was delicious and aesthetically pleasing. Personally I would add lemon on the side CRAB CROQUETTES(8/10)- FRISE FENNEL RADISH SLAW. CALABRIAN RED PEPPERS SAUCE, PARMESAN CHEESE- great appetizer wish it was hotter with a little bit more sauce. Didn't taste the pepper much There was a wait for the two simple main entrees/drinks which the people next to us who came in after us got their entrees/drinks way before us. Not a big deal our food tasted great. Drinks: happily ever after (9/10) REPOSADO TEQUILA, HBISOUS CRAMON, LEMO. Really enjoyed this drink. Very flavorful with a unique taste. Good summer drink. Setting:Has an indoor/outdoor sitting. Feels like you are eating at someone's house. Has a projector screen on the wall where they play movies which I thought was cool. Happy hour - Wednesday-Friday 5pm-7pm Saturday 3pm-6pm Service: Servers were very friendly and helpful even though it was busy Price: price is moderate with great quality food Parking:side street parking

Yelp
Hey Business Owner... I could deal without your sassy response. Absolute awful retort all hella late from when this was reviewed. Rather than trying to clap back, how bout you learn how to brew a batch? I see where the server got their 'tude from.

Yelp
I'd heard good things about this place and was excited to come for dinner but was pretty disappointed. Service was incredibly slow, as me and my friends ordered drinks and dinner but it took them at least 20-30 minutes to bring out the drinks and it wasn't super busy for a Friday evening. My friends and I had to ask staff twice to check on my drink and I think someone must've forgotten the first time I asked. The staff kept checking on us and asking if everything was okay multiple times throughout the evening. The food and drinks were good, but with the slow service I don't think I'd be back anytime soon.

Yelp
Dropped in for a quick drink. Great spot! Loved it. I will be back for another! Very quantity. Friendly staff. Very welcoming.

Yelp
The service was amazing and the food was excellent. I ordered the chicken club and enjoyed it very much

Yelp
Found this place while looking for somewhere that served Aperol Spritz's. It's nestled on Post street and I'd never noticed it before. Came in for a late lunch around 1:30 and there was no one else there. The space is small but super aesthetic. Got an aperol spritz and it was delicious! Also ordered the vodka pasta and the club burger. Both dishes were delicious! The vodka pasta is advertised as bucatini pasta on the menu but the dish itself had fusilli pasta. Either way it was deliciously creamy and flavorful! The burger was really tasty, ordered it medium well and it came with a hefty serving of fries. The service was excellent, we got checked on several times and water refilled before needing to ask. This is definitely a downtown SJ hidden gem and I'm excited to come back and try more items from the menu.

Yelp
I came to the club on a rainy Saturday with a friend. It's pretty new so the restaurant was fairly empty. I ordered 2 drinks and the burger while my friend ordered 2 drinks and some fried calamari. We wanted the crab croquettes but they weren't available. The food was really delicious! The restaurant is really nice. It's spacious and located ideally in downtown San Jose. Our waitress was really attentive and made sure all of our questions were answered. All in all, i would definitely go back here. I'm glad I got to visit before this place becomes a lot more popular.

Yelp
Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Decided to try somewhere new and this place didn't disappoint. It was a cute quaint restaurant but had so much to offer. Each dish has a wonderful punch of personality to itself. We had a wonderful Friday date night. We enjoyed whiskey, so the selection was great! Can't go wrong with any choices straight or an old fashion ( high fashion) . Their margarita was so refreshing and pretty too. For starters, we had the pork belly- delicious! Also, the tuna tartare was nice as well. To main entrees, we love the surf and turf, especially the ribeye was cooked to perfection as in medium rare and shrimp was not over cooked as well. Also, had the seabass is a must, it's so buttery flavorful! I loved it! Dessert was decent, we had the lava cake with ice cream. It's still moist, but not much lava about it. I would come back again. The menu is small and place is quaint but it's still worth the visit.

Yelp
Very cute little cafe in the heart of downtown San Jose. We ordered two dishes, the vodka pasta and the crab cake Benedict. The portions were huge and made to order. One of the better vodka pasta I have tried so far. It was creamy, a little spicy, but has so much flavor. Even the tomatoes were bursts of flavor! 10/10 would come here again! The staff were really nice as well!
google avatar

Yelp
This place was wonderful! My friends and I found this place while we were barhopping in San Jose, looking for a nice place to grab some food. And this place did not disappoint! We could not get over the cute modern aesthetic of this place! Everything from the decor to the tableware and even food presentation was so visually appealing. The glasses for water were so cute! Not only did the food look great, but they taste amazing as well! I don't think I've ever had vodka pasta that was this good! We had such a comfortable break here in between the other bars in the area. Not to mention, the service was phenomenal. The workers were very attentive and I felt that we were very well taken care of. We sat towards the back, so they even asked us if we wanted the music lowered, so that we would have an easier time talking to each other.

Yelp
First of all, who would expect such a CUTE little restaurant tucked away on 1st and post?! The food was *muah!* chef's kiss! The customer service was top notch and I had an amazing birthday dinner with my friends! All the food that was ordered was delicious and beautifully presented! To share: Crab croquette Truffle fries Individual entrees: Vodka pasta w chicken Vodka pasta w shrimp Salmon Sea Bass Chicken sandwich To drink: my first ever espresso martini which got me buzzed! I love the food and the service! I def will be back to check out their brunch menu :)

Yelp
My friend told me about this restaurant & I finally got a chance to check it out. We started off with some fried calamari and the garlic aioli complimented it perfectly. We ordered a couple of Cheeseburger's with truffle fries and our other friend ordered the Ribeye steak with creamy mashed potatoes. The burgers are high quality and packed with flavor in every bite. Just note that if you want to substitute the regular fries for truffle fries, they are an additional $7. The restaurant looks pretty new inside and they also have a nice selection of tequilas at the bar area. Overall I had a great experience from the food, service and great hospitality while we were there learning about the different tequilas that they have and the stories behind it. If you're in the downtown area and want to checkout something new, definitely give The Club a visit and try their food, you won't regret it.

Yelp
My dinner was an absolute 5 Star experience. This place was friendly, warm, and provided fantastic food and drinks. I initially found this place from Yelp reviews, and was NOT disappointed. The inside was cozy, clean and bright. During dinner, I noticed many people walking past and waving to the staff inside. Clearly this was a well-known local favorite. James took white-glove care of me behind the bar and offered great suggestions for not only my cocktails but also my Steak Frites and Corn and Shrimp chowder. His casual conversation was unforced, and soon had me thankful I stopped in for dinner. Soon after soup, George (the owner came over) to chat about life. Our casual banter turned into an epic story about his struggles to find rare springs for a Japanese ice maker, and a hilarious story about In-N-Out Burger. This level of humanity is the key ingredient to a top-notch dining experience. I hope everyone can stop in and feel the warmth that I did. I finished off the experience with an award winning (really I saw the trophy) Espresso Martini while chatting with James' girlfriend about pool tournaments. The whole experience made me feel more than welcome. I never once felt like a complete stranger in town for business. I never even felt like a local visiting the restaurant for the first time. I felt like I was catching up with lifelong friends.

Yelp
Happened upon this spot after finding a last minute reservation. The Club is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown SJ. We were greeted by friendly staff and sat down immediately as we had early reservations. The space is open and bright, a black and white film was projected on the wall. Opted for the Retro Art cocktail - it was a perfect option for a warm evening. Unfortunately the pork belly app was out - opted for the tuna tartare instead. We chose the short ribs and vodka pasta for entrees. Ended the meal with the ooey gooey lava cake. By the end of our great service, the dining area was filled with customers enjoying their evening.

Yelp
Came to this cute little spot in downtown last Friday night. There was no wait but I suspect this place will get busier as it gets more known. The service was fast even though there were only two people, and our server was personal and did his best to answer my questions as the menu was new. I got the skirt steak as I don't see any reviews or pictures about it yet. It was a bit tougher than I expected it, but it was seasoned well. I like the garlic aioli a lot and it goes very well with the steak. The sweet potato fries are a hit - I would totally get it on its own. My partner enjoyed the vodka pasta and aperol spritz. The crème brûlée had a thick layer of sugar and was very creamy. I hope to come back for brunch next time!

Yelp
This restaurant is too cute not to visit!! They have a great selection of drinks and food items! The service is incredible, they totally make you feel like home. Our server checked on us and made sure nothing was missing. It was my birthday and it was perfectly celebrated with my friends and the restaurant friends!!

Yelp
The food and service were amazing. I got the vodka pasta and my hubby got the salmon risotto. They were both delicious. The espresso martini and the Aperol spritz were made perfectly. We would def come back again. The owner George and his wife were amazing hosts. You can tell that they are very passionate about providing every guests with the highest quality of the food, drinks, and service.

Yelp
Despite being busy, I feel this is a little known spot in downtown SJ. We stumbled upon it on our way to our usual coffee/brunch place and glad we gave it a try. We had a lovely brunch on the pedestrianized street outside since we had our dog with us. Food was really great, reasonably priced and the tables were nicely made up with table cloths and cloth napkins. We had the avocado toast and the 2 egg breakfast. The portion sizes were generous and the food nicely presented. We will be back

Yelp
Such a cute spot! Came here for brunch on a Saturday and surprisingly it wasn't too busy. Although it opens at 11 and we got there at 11:30. The service was quick and pleasant and the food was amazing! My friend and I shared the vodka pasta and chilaquiles and both were delicious! Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
6 of us went there and tried 6 different dishes, every dish was excellent and tasty. All different tastes and well made. I would go there again to try other dishes. Service and ppl are good. Thank you chef.

Yelp
The ambience was very lively, and the servers were accommodative. The tomato basil soup was well-seasoned and had good flavor. The wagyu burger was cooked to perfection (fresh and juicy). I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Yelp
Yes,yes, yes! Get here quick before everyone else finds this hidden gem. The service and food are top notch. I think I have been here enough to save I've tried almost every main course and apps. Great first date/date night spot or even drinks w friends. Also the interior design is chef's kiss! The owners are also great. As a native San Josean I'm happy to say I finally have a favorite local spot!

Yelp
Love this place! We always stop here before a Sharks game because of the service and great food. My favorite is the Vodka pasta. My hubby got the Steak and frites and said it was delicious.

Yelp
The Club was a cool chill place at the heart of Downtown SJ... friendly atmosphere. I dropped by to get started... Their garden drink was very refreshing. Followed by their pride to perfection espresso martini.. not on the sweet side but but a chill moment to enjoy... Happy to be back one day again for a shot of espresso martini when I come on this side of downtown again! Cheers!

Yelp
Went for dinner and it was equally great! Got the burger and the shrimp grits, while sharing truffle fries with some friends. Everything was done perfectly, and the fry portions were generous.

Yelp
Oh my gosh!!!! My family and I are on vacation driving through California. We stayed in San Jose for a couple nights. We parked in downtown to check things out. I Googled places for dinner and The Club on Post came up with good reviews. The website offered reservations and I booked one. We walked in and were greeted by Alena. She was a doll!!! She was also our server, she was super friendly and helpful. I knew this was my place, the music they had playing in the background was amazing, loud enough to hear it but quiet enough you can still have a conversation. I don't know if the music playing is always 2000s.... But it was that night, and they had Friends playing on the screen. The vibe was just so amazing.... But, now I'm showing my age. Ohh the food, so good. I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the burger and we swapped halves.... Oh man the burger and sandwich were both delicious. We ordered dessert too. The molten lava cake was bomb!!! The creme brulee was amazing too. It was such a happy accident we stumbled across The Club. Alena definetly made our night.

Yelp
Heard about this place on TikTok and decided to stop by for drinks after dinner on a Friday. The place is small but very modern with nice decor. They even had a movie projected on a wall for you to watch while eating Service was great as they attentively checked in on us. We ordered two drinks to share and they also came out relatively quickly. Blueberry Mint Spirts (3/5) - This tasted like a very sour mint mojito. It honestly was too sour for my liking, kinda tasted like a warhead. The Club's Espresso Martini (5/5) - This drink was really creamy and had the perfect alcohol to espresso ratio. Probably one of the best martini's I've tried.

Yelp
My friends and I came here to celebrate my late birthday and we loved it! The ambience/decor, music, the customer service, and the appetizers/drinks made it all a vibe. We came in around 6:30pm on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all so we got seated right away. Our waitress was so nice and the owners were sweet as they checked on us to make sure we were enjoying our experience! We ended up ordering a few appetizers like the Brussel sprouts, truffle fries, and calamari. Everything was really good, but what made it was the dipping sauces lol. We all agreed the chipotle aioli was the best. We wished the calamari pieces were a bit bigger tho. We also ordered drinks and all of us liked our cocktails. My fav was the pineapple spritzer while my bf liked the pear. Def would love to come back to try their brunch or main dinner entrees next time. This is the cutest spot to gather with a small group of friends or enjoy a lunch date! They also have tables outside for bigger parties. Can't wait to come back :)

Yelp
Second time here. Food and drinks did not disappoint! Also met the owner and totally agree that G's way espresso martini is the way to go. Chilaquiles has the perfect balance of flavours and the crab cake Benedict was so yum! Definitely a brunch spot to return to for the beautiful chilled vibes and great service. Bonus - they also own the boutique opposite, perfect after brunch shopping!

Yelp
Came here specifically for their $7 after 7pm menu. Only features 3 appetizers and wine by the glass but hey! A deals a deal. They were very generous with the wine pours! We ordered the frito mixto, truffle fries, and vodka pasta. All the food was tasty and came out super fast! Really cute ambiance.

Yelp
A nice addition to DTSJ! We visited The Club On Post for dinner on a Saturday night and were surprisingly the only patrons in the restaurant. Our party of 6 was seated at a large, comfortable table near the entrance. The interior was pretty small, and had very cute decor - funky lighting fixtures, beautiful dried flower displays, etc. For drinks, my friends ordered The Club Espresso Martini, High Fashion, and Pineapple Spritz, which were all delicious. They didn't have a mocktail menu, but the bartender said he could make me a zero proof Apple Gimlet, which I absolutely loved. For food, we started with two orders of the Crab Croquettes as an appetizer. These were tasty and had a little kick to them, and I really liked the red sauce they came in. For entrees, my friend and I shared the Steak Frites and Vodka Pasta with Prawns. Both items were good, but not quite perfect. We had ordered the Steak Frites medium rare and they were definitely overcooked, but we did love the chimichurri and sweet potato fries. The Vodka Pasta with Prawns was also tasty, with thick bucatini pasta and soft burrata on top. I also tried a bit of my friends' items, and the Ahi Tuna Tartare was excellent. However, the Surf n Turf 14oz Prime RIbeye might have been the best item of the bunch - so flavorful and perfectly cooked! Service was super friendly but definitely on the slower side, and the food took longer than expected considering the restaurant was empty. Overall though, I really liked this dinner - would happily return to try more items!

Yelp
We were looking for a dinner spot to take out our friend for his bday and found this hidden gem. Was able to make reservations online for a Friday night dinner. The restaurant itself is in the alley on Post, so you have to find either street parking or near San Pedro Square. Not too far of a walk. It's a small restaurant with a few seats but quite a cute place. There's also seating at the bar. It looks like family owned, which I absolutely love. Meagan helped us out once we walked in and seated us immediately. She was also our server and constantly checked in on us. Drinks: The chef's special - smokey margarita, which is really good if you love a good tequila drink Vodka, strawberry, basil - not overly sweet Appetizer: Crab cake - comes in 3 and served over marinara. It was recommended and really good Entree: Ceasar salad: fresh salad with real anchovies. Very good if you love ceasar salad. Burger: cooked perfectly and served with either fries or side salad. We chose the fries, of course. Steak and frites: tender and cooked perfectly, served with chimichurri and a side of sweet potato fries Overall the ambiance was good and the service was great. It's a small place so make reservations. They do serve brunch on the weekend so I'm going to come back and give it a shot.

Yelp
We visited the Club on Post for Mother's Day brunch. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly by all the staff. We were quickly seated and my wife commented on how much she liked the decor. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We ordered cocktails, all were great . We then ordered our entrees and wow were we happy. The quality, quantity and presentation of all the dishes were fantastic. At the end, the owner came by to check on us, a very nice touch. We all left happy and full. We even did some shopping at the boutique across the street, same owner. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
The espresso martini (the one with Bailey's, they have two options) is the star of the show here. The food and decor look as nice as you see on here - feels like a little wedding venue with the neutral brown tones. And the presentation of the food is very refined. Had the chilaquiles for brunch and I enjoyed the flavor of the green salsa. Its a hearty meal. It was missing a little something for me. I think I would have preferred no chorizo, and had avocado and more crema instead.

Yelp
My wife (a foodie) and myself (not so much a foodie) went here. James was our server and he did a great job. YOU NEED TO GO HERE. The food is fabulous. Both my wife and I had the shrimp and grits. I savored every bite. My wife savored every bite. I thought maybe I was becoming a foodie. So well seasoned. I usually put hot sauce on everything, but it would have been wrong. That's how good it tasted. The drinks were amazing. The coffee martini blew my mind. So good. The fritto misto appetizer was maybe the best I've ever had. And the creme brule...I dreamed about this creme brule when I went to bed that night. Everything far exceeded our expectations. Every bite and sip was a pleasure and the ambiance and employees were really great! I also thought the pricing was very fair for the quality and quantity of the food. We will be back!!!
