The mecca of cover bands and historic singers songwriters and concert hall for all; San Juan's diamond in the rough offers bands and events of all kinds. I was invited by bass player Mikhail, to the U2 experience and boy was it an experience!!! They also included a Cold play tribute that was to die for! The lead singer was awesome and the coach house was packed! 400+ppl, not bad crowd for a Thursday date night!! Can't wait till this band plays again!!

Let me start off by saying my husband and I go to the coach House often, we have seen some great shows. Saturday, September 6, 2025. We did a spur of the moment, buy some tickets to see Devon Allman. Almond Brothers are one of many favorites for my hubby. I went along for the ride lol. I knew nothing of him. All I knew, he’s the son of the late, great! Greg Allman. Let me say!!This was one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen at the coach house. I wish I can remember all the names. The opening act was a young lady very bayou southern, Who was a one Man band. She had that sultry, Bluey, rockabilly style. Great opener for what was yet to come. Then, Devon Allman and his fantastic band started to play. All I can say is WOW. 🤯 They were all so amazing, at one point there were 11 people on stage, calling in fellow musicians Who has played with the best of the best. I can’t begin to tell you how interactive, entertaining they all are. Devon’s voice is amazing as well as all the other appearances. Such talent, All on one stage. Everyone absolutely loved what they do and it showed. Again, Can’t recall all the names. There was a black gentleman who can play and sing like nobody’s business. The new B.B. King. He sang my favorite song, soul shine.. There’s a black lady Who has the voice of an angel, When she sang, you felt it. All I can say is…if you have the opportunity to see Devon Allman.. Don’t miss it! If you weren’t a fan, you will become one. My husband and I have been to many concerts, and have paid a lot of money for some big named bands. I tell you, you can’t beat the coach House for the best intimate seating. Hoping they bring some more big names in. Hats off to the coach house for the many years of bringing great talents to our city. I have to add in… with a full house, you get great service, can be a little pricey, But we enjoy their steak dinner 😋 My cocktails were pretty good too 🥴 let’s see if I can add some clips

Google
Classic music venue that I have been going to my whole life. Seen so many good shows here and it’s always a pleasure to come back and have a good night. Always try to make a reservation early and get a good seat.

Google
Great venue for live music, with an EXCELLENT sound system (and a clearly talented sound crew). The food and drink are a little expensive, but I suppose that's par for the course for any establishment like this one these days. And, you're not going for the food anyway!

Gale L B.

Google
We thoroughly enjoyed Judy Collins at the Coach House! The venue is intimate and the perfect place to see a legend. We enjoyed her stories and humor. Her voice was amazing, still has those crystal high notes. The service and food were great too!

Bob C.

Google
My wife and I have never had a bad meal yet. We’ve had the chicken, filet mignon, New York steak, swordfish etc. All meticulously prepared to order and delicious. We’ve seen Spyro Gyra, Bacon Brothers, Piano Guys, Super Diamond and others. Fantastic shows. Super service and loads of great fun. These pix are of Super Diamond on 8/23/25.

Google
I have never seen Judy Collins before, just admired her from afar! Wonderful venue, great sound, dinner before was delicious too!

Google
They have a good selection of bands for the area, which is the major plus for this venue! The house band is also good! The local band that played before the house band was horrible, so I don't recommend being there early. The seats are uncomfortable and there are too many people squeezed in at each table. We gave up our seats close to the stage and went back to the bar. They wouldn't have to require a minimum food purchase if the food was good.

Yelp
Are you looking for a fun time, good food/drinks and a show? If yes, then you need to check out the Coach House! This is a fun spot that is completely underrated. You can always find a fun show for way way less than most shows. Plus, they have good food and drinks! It's always a great time! I love the vibes and unique decor. It's crazy how many artists have performed here over the years. And the service is spectacular! Shout out to Kira for her amazing service tonight!!

Yelp
The Coach House is funky but cool. The Five for Fighting show last night was outstanding. Probably the best concert we've see in many years. The crowd was fun and everyone had a great time time - expect our server was the nastiest server we've ever encountered. Leah was rude, curt, short and condescending throughout the evening. She left empty plates sit for over 30 minutes and got mad when we asked if she would clear our plates, and scolded us for placing our flatware on the empty plates and not reusing them for the next course after we finished appetizers. Her abrupt and nasty interactions were unacceptable. We are regulars at the Coach House and have never experienced such outgagious treatment. The servers have always been great. She was an exception.

Yelp
I've been coming to the coach house to see musicians and bands for nearly 40 years. Great small venue where you are always close to the stage. When you buy your tickets reserve your spot for dinner. Seating is assigned first come, first served by dinner reservations orders. So the earlier you buy tickets and make dinner reservations, the closer you will be to the stage. Dinner is fine, not great by any means but you are there for the music, not the food. Arrive early, at least an hour before the opening act to get seated and order your food and drinks. Enjoy the show.

Yelp
This is a fun place to listen to music. The team at the Coach House does a good job on the sound and the bookers do a good job lining up classic bands from the past and up and comers. The food is not good. The two drink minimum is not cheap. But overall it's still fun and I will be back.

Yelp
We saw Ken Garcia and his band tonight. Show was excellent. Service was good and attentive. Food was good but I would have preferred having more light food options than just Caesar salad. Also, draft beer would have been nice. Unfortunately, they only have a limited bottled beer selection. Sound at the venue was an issue this evening which detracted from the great performance. Vocal mics went out several times and there was interference and a buzzing noise heard for a while during the performance.

El C.

Yelp
The food is seriously awful and overpriced. Honestly worse than airplane food. Dinner options were two different cuts of steak (both were chewy and barely edible), teriyaki chicken, and a veggie plate. How hard would it be to offer a cheeseburger, which is much harder to screw up? The ambiance was fine, we went for a comedy show and it's not really set up for that, we were basically seated in folding chairs shoulder to shoulder with other guests. but the place probably works well for the more typical concerts held there. If you want to see a comedy show and it's between the Coach House and the Improv, I'd pick the Improv every time.

Yelp
Second time here. Old venue. Nice friendly folks. Menu selection is limited and the bathroom needs remodeling. Food is okay. Mostly older generation that comes here. Unfortunately, I'm in the same generation, but refuse to accept that. Lol. I know I don't look it

Yelp
Went to the Coach House last night, for the very first time! What a blast! We saw English Beat and they had everybody jumping. The staff were attentive and friendly. Had a full bar but found myself drinking a lot of water. Got a few Apps that were just so-so but did have a chance to take a bite of their Filet and got to say, that was damn good. Overall, great experience at a great venue. I can't believe it took me this long to finally make the drive down there...

Yelp
The Coach House has some great musicians that come to play. There are a lot of tribute bands filling the calendar these days but there are still some gems occasionally in the lineup. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was one of those gems. Wow, what in incredible show! Totally worth the cost and the so-so dinner to get better seats. Once you buy tickets, call the venue and reserve dinner seats. This is the only way they take dinner reservations and it effects where you are seated in the venue. The quicker you reserve, the better the seats. With a dinner reservation, you have to buy a mediocre dinner and two drinks. The steak is great, the veggies on the plate are so, so sad. Boiled mixed veggies. I didn't think anyone still did that in So. Cal. but there they were. Getting a couple rounds of bar food appetizers is probably a better spend. It's really hard to screw up a plate of nachos or potato skins. Those were fine. Come for the music, it's worth it.

Heidi G.

Yelp
The music was great. However, the food really needs some attention. You're missing a big opportunity by not having a business review with your foodservice sales consultant and the on staff Chef. It doesn't matter whether you work with Sysco, US Foods, or anyone else -- a good rep and Chef can help you elevate your menu and create dishes that are memorable, not forgettable. For example, I noticed you were maybe reusing baked potatoes as potato skins. Honestly, they were pitiful. You can do much better, and your foodservice rep can help you with menu ideas, best practices, and product solutions that fit your venue and your budget. Let your FS rep do the heavy lifting. It will make a world of difference.

Yelp
I came to see Five for fighting and the Coach house did not disappoint!! The ambiance was spot on. The best part of our evening was our stellar server Leah. She was so efficient and warm. She made us feel like her only guests while taking care of so many others. She recommended the filet. It was really tender and delicious. Everyone around us were vibing to the music. We will definitely return to the coach house. Not a bad seat in the place. If you want an immaculate server ask for Leah! best customer service in years.

Yelp
How do you review of history? You don't. You sit with it, drink it in, and let it speak for itself. The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano is celebrating 45 years of music, memories, and beautiful imperfection. Yes, it's a little run down. Maybe it always has been. You couldn't build a place like this today, too raw, too weird, too real. It's a Frankenstein's monster of architecture: patched together walls, slouching ceilings, and bathrooms that scream "we stopped caring in the '80s." But there's soul here. And soul beats sparkle, every damn time. It's like your grandfather rambling on about the good old days--only this grandfather has stories about Miles Davis, Tom Jones, B.B. King, and a hundred other legends that once bled on this stage. Every wall is a scrapbook of headshots: some fresh-faced and hopeful, others weathered and forgotten. All of them part of the myth. Not long ago, I sat just fifteen feet from Don McLean. He sang American Pie slower than you remember, each note soaked in nostalgia and loss. And in that moment, none of the rough edges mattered. The Coach House handed me that memory. You don't forget that kind of thing. So when you go, and you should go, don't judge the place by the steaks, the tight tables, or the bathrooms that feel like time capsules. Judge it by the moments. By the music. By the way it refuses to die, still giving up space for new voices and old ghosts alike. Magic doesn't need polish. It just needs a stage. The Coach House is still giving that to the world. And that's more than most places can say.

Yelp
Bought tickets to see Dead Man's Party and then made dinner reservations so we could get better seats. I had filet mignon and my fiancé had swordfish. Food was better than expected. Great service. I don't typically like sitting at long tables with strangers but the people with us were super nice.

Yelp
Only good place to see great live music in OC ,, reasonable ticket prices, and still enjoy a drink and a meal ( swordfish and steaks were awesome , sautéed mushrooms were really good as well ! Not a bad seat in the house !! Sound was professional as well Opening act was a little lame ,, and old but the crowd didnt seem to mind lol

Yelp
Unique venue, we saw the prince tribute I think they did a great job, personally I'm not a huge prince fan but the group I was with really enjoyed it. The venue is pretty big and the seating family style (long tables) but it's cool you get to meet new people.

Yelp
Always a fun time! We purchase the dinner option and sit very close to the stage. Meals are tasty, though pricey...the steak has been delicious and the breaded mozzarella sticks are always yummy. Casual atmosphere - we always get to know the folks sitting at the long table with us, and have seen some great bands over the years for very reasonable ticket prices.

Yelp
I've seen bands that I like playing here and for some reason, I always thought of it as LA... nope too far and too much traffic. I don't know why. Orange County is far from being LA, so I've probably missed a lot of really great shows because of my geographical challenges. Well I saw that LA Guns was playing here, one of my favorite hair bands from the 80s. Oooh I really want to see them... but it's such a pain to drive to LA. I looked up the miles on my phone.... Uh.... It's literally 35 minutes away. Yay! They serve dinner as well and if you make a reservation, you can order dinner before the show and you get a seat ($20 minimum for dinner per person). The reservation isn't for a specific time, but they start serving dinner around 5pm and tell you that you need to be there for the dinner reservation by 6pm. At least this was for our show that started at 7pm. When you get into the parking lot, it's pretty small, so either plan on getting there early or parking on the outside streets. We got there around 5:45pm and found very easy close parking on the street just outside of the lot. The food was pretty good! I got the teriyaki chicken and my sister got a Caesar salad. The salad was way bigger than the plate it was on but was good... not great, but it's not like dinner was the primary thing here. The mud pie for dessert was super delish! The seats were great and there isn't a bad seat in the place. The chairs are a little uncomfortable and the seats are a little cramped at the long tables. It would have been perfect if maybe 2-4 chairs were removed so it gave you some elbow room. We had a blast and now that my mind has grasped the concept that this isn't LA, I'll be going here more often when bands are playing!

Yelp
First time here went to a concert with friends and wasn't sure what to expect. The place is cool, antique vibes and very chill atmosphere. You have to spend $20 a person at the tables and wine is $18 a glass and the drinks are weak so you won't have an issue there. The food is bar food at best, nothing to write home about. The waitresses and staff are all nice and accommodating. Now that I have been there if I go back I will have a few drinks before as well as dinner but we very much enjoyed the concert

Patrick B.

Yelp
Food was and always has been pretty marginal and overpriced but that's not why we go there. We enjoy the convenience and seating priority that comes with dining before a concert.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a 3 and a half stars for me. There was great, free and close parking! That is awesome and rare. We walked right in. There was no line or wait time. We made reservations to ensure seats together. The problem with the reservations is they force you to order food. I wish it could just be drinks. I don't want to be forced to eat subpar food. The chocolate Wipeout cake was good and came with ice cream. The other items were frozen chicken tenders and a salad that were just edible. The shots were decent size! The sodas do not include refills. The actual chairs were the worst! They are small, old and super rickety. All of our butt and hips hurt. Cushioned and padded chairs would be appreciated! It was a very long night. I wish there wasn't an opening act. We came to see G Love and Special sauce. He was great and we were seated up front! Make sure you get your bill way before the end of the show. We were stuck waiting to close our check at the end of the night for 30 minutes or more while everyone else left. I would come here again if the band was great. I don't think I would do reservations. At least you won't have to go so early and be uncomfortable.
google avatar

Yelp
Last time ever for The Coach House. Food has never been good and at the prices, it makes it even worse ($14 for a well rum and coke and $18 for chips and salsa, which must be from a big plastic gallon jug--ugh!). Every time we visit, drink prices have gone up. Music is good but people don't pay attention to it and instead talk loudly to overcome the music. The waitress was very efficient.

Yelp
Brought my mom to see her favorite singer at this venue. I actually enjoyed the show and the evening turned out to be a great experience for her, but there are a few sour things that can't be ignored. Pros: the venue felt intimate but the crowd was lively and interactive. We were seated at a great table close to the center, so the view was great. Looking around though, I'm pleased to say that there's not a bad seat in the house. The check in process was incredibly easy and the staff was exceptionally attentive. Cons: Even getting to the venue was 2 hours in advance, the main parking was full and we felt uncomfortable trying to park in spots designated for other businesses. We were lucky enough to find a spot in the back, but I can't imagine the stress of trying to park closer to show time. You either have the choice of adhering to a 2 drink minimum, or you can book a table ahead of time; which requires each person to spend minimum or $20 for dinner...which is super easy because the menu items are incredibly overpriced. Items like nachos, chips & salsa, etc being priced at $20ish is a bit much and based on the looks of them, not worth it. If you do need to buy dinner, I recommend the swordfish or catch of the day. The baked potato was good but veggies were nothing worth writing home about. Oh, and keep in mind that asking for waters all around means paying $5 per water bottle. As much as the food menu and prices underwhelmed me, the service and staff were great.

Rich A.

Yelp
i went to Coach House on September 10, 2025 to hear Albert Lee. He and his band were terrific. The band that opened was -- well, it was awful. The night would have been better without them and had only Albert Lee. The opener band seemed to think if they played VERY LOUD it would make them sound good. It didn't. I tore up a napkin to make earplugs, then fled to the parking lot with others, until Albert Lee went on to save the night. The scene is funky and inspires a friendly gathering among strangers at shared tables. The staff is friendly and fits the funky scene. The food is pretty good. The drinks are watered down, just like in Las Vegas.

Yelp
Small intimate venue with a great view of the stage and good acoustics! I think there's no bad seat in the house here. We came for a dinner and concert and checkin was easy. They have your seats already assigned once you purchase tickets so when we arrived they knew where we were going to be and ushered us in. The tables are small so you'll be sitting close together, but the main highlight is the show. I can't say I loved the food that much but it was edible. I got tilapia (catch of the day) and the fish was great. Rice and veggies (cauliflower and broccoli) had no flavor though). The show was amazing--audio speakers were right in front of us but we didn't feel blasted or have our ears ringing (volume was well controlled). Afterwards we even got to meet the performer who was really super nice. It was our second time coming and both were similar (great) experiences. ----TL; DR---- Pros: small venue where the show can be seen well and sound quality is great throughout. Parking is free. Loved it! Cons: food was only Ok, pricy as you can see on the menu photo. Bottom Line: if you want to attend a great concert for your favorite artist, this is a small intimate venue. The food is ok but that's not the main reason for going. We will definitely come again to see future shows!

Alex M.

Yelp
What can improve?...everything to start they need to remodel, they need and most important to check the quality of employees, meaning check their employees that like to engage on sexual encounters on the second floor during work.If you need the names I will provided with facts pand screen shots

Yelp
Went last night with two other couples and had a great time! Our server was super friendly and did an excellent job. Food was good. The Desperado band was fantastic -- highly recommend if you're looking for a fun night out with live music.

Yelp
This is our local favorite live entertainment concert hall. It's very rustic , it's been here for like ever ... did you offer food and drink you can make a reservation before the concert usually the doors open a couple of hours before the entertainment starts. Buyer beware : they honestly do not have a decent wine list. We tried so desperately to like what they were offering. It was difficult we chose the Rusak reserve Chardonnay.. They do have a policy of seating you . So, if they don't give you the seats that you would prefer ask to be seated elsewhere, and sometimes they will accommodate you.

Yelp
Okay... Eh! Overall eh! This venue could be amazing! It really could be. There's a character/charm about this space that screams "great filming location" or "I wonder which legends have played secret/small shows here" but the venue overall comes off like a time share scam. My friend and I arrived early! 3 hours before the start of the show...and we were seated quite far away with PLENTY of empty seats near the stage. Now when we arrived I noticed the "hosts" for the evening, three men (one dressed in all black with a cute cowboy hat, two others hustling in everyday attire) holding lots of folded up $20s and other monies. I wondered why they had so much cash in their hands... I quickly learned how the seating process goes. We were told the other seats were reserved. Now, I get that. Reservations made in a timely fashion get closer seats, makes sense. However! I began to watch several parties arrive after us and get shown similar seats... that's when the negotiations began. Watching the hosts make $100s of dollars in minutes for closer seats was quite entertaining. Backstory, I only know the talented artist Rickie Lee Jones because my friend who I attended the show with considers her one of his favorite all time artists. So excited and enthused to "see an old friend" he said before the show, and many in the crowd held the same sentiment. So, I wasn't too worried about our seats. My friend on the other hand mentioned he wished we were closer, and thought showing up early and making the dinner reservations would secure that... not true. Rickie Lee Jones' "It must be love" was my friends "song" with his late husband who passed during the pandemic. So this was going to be an emotional evening, and it was lovely. He loved the show, as did I. But the venue left much to be desired. It felt like we were seeing a talented artist (at the age of 69) doing sub par venues. The crowd was enthused and loved her, but it felt like the cafeteria at a "senior citizen cruise." (My friends comments) Now a $20 minimum is required with dinner reservations, and $20 is very very easy to spend on their less than desirable/edible food. $30 chicken nachos. Not good. He said they were barely edible. $20 mozzarella sticks... I've never met fried cheese I didn't like, but I'd be pissed if these were $8 at chilis/applebees, and honestly they would've been better at those chains. These felt like Costco warm-up appetizers but even that seems like a compliment. $5 for my Iced Tea and $5 for his Sprite. Of course I got a refill of my iced tea...another $5! I'll stop with the negativity. Overall it was a lovely night however this venue is a HARD PASS for the future. Unless there's some management changes or menu changes...I don't see this as a place I'd ever go again unless there's some artist touring that only goes here. That's where the time share scam feel comes along... "Come see your favorite artist that barely tours anymore!!!***with a $20 minimum for dinner and no reserved seats without dinner reservations!***"

Yelp
We watched Big Mountain and they were amazing! First time at the Coach House, a cool, dive bar/concert hall that is pretty "rustic". The service was great, attentive. But I would say the food and drinks were just meh. Sub level bar food. In order to sit close to the stage, you need to have dinner reservations and spend $20/pp on food and there's a 2 drink minimum. That's easily done as the food is way over priced! Chips and salsa for $16!! I'd go back for the show but I wouldn't get dinner reservations as all seats in the venue seem like they have great views of the band.

Yelp
I attended the Bobby Gray and What's New Pussycat Program last Sunday. Both bands and artists were entertaining. The food was delicious. I had the tilapia. It was cooked to perfection as were the baked potato and vegetables. The New York Cheesecake was so creamy. Yummy. Our server, Sierra, was quick in getting our orders to us. Thank you all for a great experience. The box office personnel are wonderful too.

Claudia A.

Yelp
Please, please, please stop flashing bright white lights onto the audience! I was sitting 3 chairs front center stage and could barely see the band (Joe Puerta) of Ambrosia. Because of the lights could barely see their faces. It really killed my enjoyment of the entire show. They didn't do that for the opening act. Service is always great! I asked our server if they could stop flashing those bright lights that are actually against the back of the stage.

Yelp
Saw David Cook last night. Great show. He was awesome.. Only bad thing was woman that kept screaming out and making a shrill whistle throughout show. Once or twice, understand but she was disruptive and should have been escorted from the building, especially since many patrons asking her to be quiet. Food pretty decent. Our server Holly was top notch despite how busy venue was. Once again, had they had the venue proactive and removed or cautioned the "whistler", they would have gotten 5 stars for me.

Yelp
i've been to the Coach House many times. i've come to listen to great musicians and groove with others but what i really can't stand is the minimum drinks you have to purchase or the dinner options that are sincerely overpriced and underserved. meals are served on a small plate to look large. someone across from me had nachos that looked dark and unappetizing. our serving of swordfish was thin and small for $39. the chairs are so close together you bump your neighbor and there's no room to dance. service is good if you're drinking alcohol but otherwise not really because you have one waitperson taking care of about 30 people all at the same time. oh well the venue has been around for many years and has a name for itself but i keep hoping things would improve but they don't.

Yelp
Went to see a Pink Floyd cover band for Mother's Day and many - were they amazing! Food was just OK. I think the best thing we had was chicken tenders but when you consider it's $20 for four pieces of chicken tenders it's kind of a rip off. But you're not there for the food you're there for the band. My son and my boyfriend had chicken teriyaki, which was nothing to write home about. My son ordered nachos which were OK but again nothing amazing -- but again you're there for the concert. We had good seats, which is really what you're spending for when you buy the dinner package.

Yelp
It is a shame that the owner does not invest any money in remodeling this rundown place. You know that is not because of a lack of money. it always brings in a crowd. Yet the place is dingy and dark. The furnishings are old and uncomfortable, and the carpeting is disgusting. The bathrooms are as bad as a gas station in the hood, awful. Do yourself a favor and eat ahead of time. The food tastes bad and is overpriced. I am not sure where all the profits are going, but definitely not into the upkeep of this establishment.

Yelp
Love .... LOVE This venue - a lil hidden gem - I've been attending shows here since the early 90's - I'd have gone sooner if I'd had known it was there ...& if I was of age ! The service is attentive & friendly - and last time I was there - May2025- We had an upstairs private suite for 10 or 12 of us - which includes a waitress that was there anytime we needed anything ! Highly recommend if you're planning a party w a few+of ur Besties & want to surprise them w an affordable great evening of live music & good times !

Yelp
Can't say enough good things about ***All Fired Up*** (Pat Benatar tribute band). They were as incredible as Pat Benatar is live. Their sound is SOLID on every aspect - from lead vocals (Tamara), the lead guitar, drummer, bass, keyboards - and the back up gals (Annie & Lori) - they ALL were incredible! Such a fun night for us three friends of the same names as the gals in the band - Lori, Annie & Tammy

Yelp
interior is low lit and with long communal tables, and booths available upon request. stage is pretty close to the seating area. service was nice! the food is okay - very clearly microwaved/pre-packaged but for the price it's like highway robbery lol. like the vegetable cheese skins were okay for a bar but terrible for a restaurant; overcooked and dry potato halves with frozen vegetables put on top, shredded cheese sprinkled on and microwaved until just melted. even the salt and pepper available at the table improved it! i would recommend eating before your scheduled event and, to accommodate a $20 minimum food charge (PER PERSON .... ), each get a dessert.

Yelp
This place is cute and it has a charm atmosphere. We loved the music but the food was ok, Not that great, my filet mignon was not perfect filet mignon cut, but I could not complain because we were there for the music.

Yelp
Parking is difficult starting at 2.5 hours before start of opening act. Neighborhood street parking marked as unavailable. Box office advises go ahead and park there as it is after hours and not enforced. I arrived early (.5 hours before doors opened) to make some calls and saw the lineup already quite long. Seating assignment seemed random. I chose to forgo the over priced dinner and sit at the bar. Not only was my seat at the back of the room the gentleman across from me was coughing so I was out of there. Bar seating first come first served. Be there early with a friend enjoy your conversation and wait for the music. Staff very friendly and helpful. Truly professional and interested in your environment. Say hi to Tony the bartender Tony is a great guy, informative and a gentleman. Main act starts at ~9:00. Warm up usually at 8:00. The night of my visit they added a warmup band so start was 7:00. Good music. The food is basically overpriced buffet fare. Vegetables appear over cooked, a lot of deep fried things. I posted the menu from 3/28/2024, check it out. You may wish to bring earplugs- just in case.

Yelp
If the menu options defined this location as either a steakhouse or a dive bar, rather than an overpriced and under served attempt at both. Id say its a great start... The ambiance is dive-ish, which fits the look but not the bill. Another downer was the multiple attempts to pass off the houses "rotgut" as the named liquors that they were charging us for. Not Morgan, Jack nor anything else came as called but it was charged as such on our $1,400 tab. Which also came with multiple rounds of incorrect drink orders but that really doesnt matter because, again, the drinks were mixed with drink mat swill. Whats good, you ask, the sound techs do mind the music levels and that makes for a great show. Eat before you go, drink beer or anything from a bottle/can and enjoy the music.

Yelp
Why aren't there any photos of the beer list, nor a photo of it on their website? Because the waitstaff has it on a handwritten card. Here's the deal: it's all bottles, all $10 to $12 each, featuring brands like Guinness, Red Trolley, Stone, Blue Moon, Stella, Coors, and others. A bucket is 6 beers, and there is no discount. Yes, you are paying $60 to $76 for the most expensive 6-pack you have ever seen. You can mix and match, it does not have to be all the same brand. At that price, there are bottles of wine at the Coach House for under or the same price range, something to consider if it's just two of you. The markup on food and drink here is just crazy. Sure, I'll pay $55 for a filet mignon, but only if there's better ambience. At Orange Hill Restaurant, an 8oz Filet Mignon is $48. And the ambience, service, and view are part of that price. Just keep it in mind when you consider making dinner reservations.

Yelp
very disappointed with the show and food. For the first time out of many shows, never really ate ther much. The show was suppose to be great and was not. I ended up getting food poisoning, had the swordfish. Took a long time to get it and it was cold. Tasted good, but probably sat around for too long on the shelf, before she served it. Then I was called the next day, by my credit card company that someone tried to use and charge 475.00 on a gift certificate. coincidence? I haven't used that card in a while until that Saturday night. It was strange that my card was mixed up by the waitress and put on someone else's tab when we tried to check out. Bad time, and still feeling ill! Don't think I'll go back unless there is a real Artist playing, and will not eat there ever again.

Yelp
Old and gross building, no style, cheesy bands, expensive drinks. Our server was super rude and hostile to us. Said we should have ordered more drinks and should have tipped on the food that we never bothered ordering - because all they had at that hour were nasty fried appetizers or nachos, garbage food. She was so mad that I only tipped 18% on my bill that she accosted us on the way out and verbally abused us because she didn't make enough money from us. After dinner hours we had paid the Maitre d $40 to sit in one of the many empty booths, but did our server consider the fact that it was after dinner so we never displaced a higher paying dinner group by sitting there so late for $40 extra bucks? It was emotionally violent to deal with her incredibly rude and hostile attitude. She even accused us of not meeting the 2 drink minimum after 5 drinks between 2 people, and complained we barely even sat in the booth because we walked around too much. It was pretty boring, the music was worse than one of those free concerts in the park. Not sure why anyone would come here.

Yelp
I bought tickets to see All-4-One here and it did not disappoint. It's an intimate venue that reminds me of a dated House of Blues or Improv where they have a 2 drink minimum. We were seated a set of tables to the side and back because I didn't want to blow out my eardrums by sitting under the speakers by the stage. Drinks are pricey! $12 bottles of Stella Artois and house cocktails. I believe water bottles are $5. We didn't order any food because I heard it was overpriced and terrible. Parking was free in the commercial lot and it seemed like we snapped up one of the last spots at 6:30 pm. Doors opened at 5 pm and the opening band went on at 7 pm. Circle the Earth was the opener. All-4-One went on about 8 pm and performed until 9:30 pm. It was great to see one of the OG boy bands from the 90s! They performed hits like I Can Love You Like That, So Much in Love, Someday, and I Swear. We received okay service. Our server chatted with one of the booths nearby for about 30 minutes before moving on to serve drinks. We could have gotten drinks at the bar faster than that. When we did order drinks, they came out fairly quickly. This place is close to home with zero hassle of getting in or out of the parking lot.

Yelp
The show was great and the venue unique, with friendly staff. The downside however was the food, which was so bad it spurred me to write this review. The prices were outrageous...$18 for chips and salsa? $20 for four chicken strips? If you go to the coach house, I recommend that you eat elsewhere before.

Yelp
Funky little intimate venue has rough edges, but it's a super laid back locals spot to see some amazing talent and eat some average food. Servers and staff are super friendly - even as someone who's there for the first time. Recommendation: Get dinner reservation here the first time you go. Food: uh.... Get the reservation, eat, then you can say you did the WHOLE EXPERIENCE at least once. AND HERE'S THE THING. All the haters on Yelp? This is NOT a restaurant. It's a music venue with good ticket prices and overpriced food. But you're not coming for the food. And let's be honest, you've probably paid more money for worse food at a concert. CONCERT VENUE, THEN FOOD even tho you'll do it in the opposite order. This is a super laid back joint with long thin tables and reasonably comfortable chairs. If you get a dinner reservation, you'll be closer to the stage, but there really isn't a bad spot in the house. No dinner, you'll be back near the bar. The sound system is good. The lighting system is good. Simple stage setup is good. Great for kick back, bucket of beers live music hang. DANCING? We were boxed in by tables and people. You can't hang out in the main pass thru spaces, but I guess at the edges people found space. Or just dance right where you're sitting? There's no mosh pit or ballroom floor or space like that. (Unless they move tables out on some nights) NEEDS MORE SPACE. PARKING Got there early for dinner. Parking was easy. Right out front. FIRST TIME? Outside looks like a business park, but you're in the right spot. AROUND HERE: There's tons of stuff in Dana Point to do, but nothing to walk to near the venue. Dinner: Do it. Cuz. THE FOOD As far as concert food goes. Not bad as a whole. And some looked way better than Yelp photos. GOOD : Baked cheesy potato skins: FIVE STAR Vegetarians- ask for bacon on the side if you're sharing. Impossible steak: This is like a dense Salisbury steak, cooked like a steak. With A1 sauce, yes. Bonus points. I really like impossible burgers tho. This is definitely "impossible" flavor. If you know you know. Tilapia "catch of the day". My wife said it was okay and nicely cooked. MEH : The side veggies I was okay with slightly overdone green beans. Carrots were nice actually. Baked potato on steak. pretty good. You can't go wrong with a baked potato and butter. If you are thinking, "I had potatoes and cheese, I should get the side rice." You are wrong. Get potato. NOPE: Nope to the rice. I really hoped it would be better since the other food wasn't as bad as other reviews. Nope to the cheese sticks. Just get more potatoes and cheese instead. Nope to the side salad, BUT YES to Caesar salad or other dinner salads I saw walking around. They looked promising.
