The Cocochine

"It’s not just the stunning photography on the walls that sets this restaurant apart; it’s the detail in the design of every element of the four-storey house that makes it such a handsome spot. You can eat in the discreet ground floor dining room or upstairs at a small counter looking into the kitchen – just be sure to pay a visit to the impressive wine cellar. Lobster, scallops, turbot and langoustines are sourced from Tanera Mòr in Scotland and underpin the menu of imaginative and ornately presented dishes from the skilled kitchen." - Michelin Inspector

Sublime Dining Experience – Elegance, Precision, and Personality Cocochine is a true standout on the London dining scene — refined, intimate, and impressively original. From the moment you step in, the attention to detail is evident: the atmosphere is understated yet elegant, and the service is seamless without ever feeling stiff. Each dish is a masterclass in balance and technique. Flavours are clean, precise, and beautifully layered — the kind of cooking that feels effortless but speaks of serious skill. The tasting menu flows with intention, and the wine pairings elevate it all to another level. It’s clear that every element, from ingredients to presentation, is deeply considered. Cocochine isn’t just a restaurant — it’s a curated experience. One that’s quietly confident, deeply creative, and absolutely worth seeking out. A remarkable addition to London’s fine dining landscape.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honestly, one of the best meals I’ve had in London. Cocochine feels special without being stuffy. The XXL hand-dived scallops were so fresh and tender, and the turbot with white asparagus was delicate but packed with flavor. The real surprise? The bread basket—I still think about the caramelized brioche (sweet, crispy edges!) and the rosemary sourdough (so fragrant). Dessert was a bright, not-too-sweet raspberry dish that hit all the right notes. Even their non-alcoholic drinks were creative—I loved the cocochine no.1. Staff were warm and attentive, and the vibe was relaxed but polished. Yes, it’s pricey, but you taste the care in every bite. Already planning my next visit!

One of the best fine dining experiences available in london. So impressed by the tasting menu - luxurious ingredients and generous portions - almost “too much” caviar, truffle, lobster etc! Really recommend the chefs table upstairs - great for groups of up to 3 or solo diners. The standard of cooking is to at least Michelin star standard. Yes it’s a fine dining but the atmosphere is not at all stuffy - service is relaxed and friendly. Wine pairing is worth the investment - some special bottles in there. An outstanding meal! Couldn’t recommend more highly

We visited for our first wedding anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with our experience. As we walked down the beautiful street we were greeted by the cosiest place, warm staff, good music, lovely art and perfect ambiance. We had the tasting menu and wine and every single detail was incredible. The wine cellar and private dining on different floors are a must see. Thank you to all of the staff for making us feel so special. This was a lunch memory we will treasure forever!

We dined here during a week long trip to the UK and The Cocochine was the best experience we had by far. The food is wonderful and the dining staff made me feel very special, as we celebrated my 40th birthday at the restaurant. Excellent value for lunch, and the food and service were exceptional. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful as well. Truly a first class dining experience, and we will definitely return on our next trip to London!

Tim and Larry have created a most amazing dining experience. We went there for our 10year anniversary and booked the counter service (recommended). The lunch set menu has been curated with a lot of care and was served and presented to us elegantly. As an architect the fit out of the space was exceptional to give you a fully relaxed, welcoming and private eating experience. We were kindly given a tour by Larry Jayasekara and we were grateful of his time when you see how busy and efficient the kitchen is. We would recommend the private dining suite/service. We would suggest you trust in the talents of the chef and what he serves His menu is based on ingredients from their own farmland in Northampton so quality is maintained and seasonal. We will be going back. One of our best dining experiences we have ever had.

Best restaurant in London hands down and perhaps one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. If you’re one that enjoys the inner workings of a kitchen, head to the first floor and sit at the chef’s bar. You’ll get to see everything in action. On to the food… We chose the signature menu and the second we tried the canapés we knew we were in for a real ride. Even the delicious sourdough bread left me speechless. We then had: Japanese otoro tuna Scottish XXL scallops Lobster wrapped in banana leaves 40day ages meat For dessert we had caviar! Their “Watalappam” was an harmonious blend of sweet and salty. My husband turned to me, hand in his hair, in awe. For the first time in my life I can’t name my favorite dish of the evening. They were all equally exceptional and memorable. The natural progression of courses, and the sublime service made the experience from start to finish top notch. Chef Larry was beyond kind and informative creating a comfortable and intimate setting. For anyone that wants to restore their faith in fine dining, this is your ticket.

The Cocochine, Located in a storey townhouse off London's Berkeley Square serving French cuisine. Chef Larry Jayasekara was born in Sri Lanka then worked at The Waterside Inn and Michel Bras (both three Michelin Stars), and named National Chef of the Year. The menu changes almost daily. The quality of ingredients is evident, with the chef setting up his network of suppliers. The appetizers were excellent with strong bold flavours. The bread selection was outstanding. But my main, wild turbot was bland. Dessert, too, was unremarkable.
