I was so excited when I saw OR finally had a Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. It is in a beautiful area. Even though I love so many coffee places in OR, I've never had as a good a blended coffee drink as Coffee Bean when I used to visit my grandfather in Southern California. Their blended hazlenut mochas are to die for. They have a daily selection of teas you can do hot or iced which are always tasty (not just green or black but things like tropical). I've only gotten to go 3 times since it is a drive from Beaverton but I have yet to be disappointed. The baristas have always been super friendly and patient with people who are trying to figure out what they want or if it is possible to customize a drink in a certain way. I am happy to drive the 30 min every once in a while to enjoy a delightful drink and atmosphere.

Been going here for a few years. Seems like with the new group of workers depending on who makes my drink I know whether it's going to be good or not. Would be really nice if all the workers made the ice blended drinks with the same consistency.

Ordered coffee and breakfast to go and found mold in the cream cheese. Now they won’t answer the phone, I’ve called 3 times. This is unacceptable. I’m livid and disgusted. Shut this place down now!

My husband and I come here a lot, and we are so thankful to the gentleman who makes our drinks here because he's the only one who gets it right. We have coffee bean in every Foodland in Hawaii and this gentleman makes it exactly like how we remembered. 5 Star to this guy. Thank you so much! We love every drink you make.

Google
They were so sweet! I made the mistake of ordering a hot drink instead of an iced drink, and they gave me the hot drink and the iced drink! Don’t under estimate the kindness of young people.

I went in a week ago to try the viral tik tok drink. I really loved it, but YOU GUYS NEED TO UPDATE YOUR HOURS AND NOT FOOL YOUR CUSTOMERS. I live in Clackamas and work in Clackamas. Based off of your website, coffee shop opens at 6am. Today, I woke up extra early to go get coffee before my 7am shift. I drove 25 minutes from my home for it to be closed at 6am. I don’t think it’s fair for us customers. You guys NEED to love your customers as much as we love your coffee. I don’t think it’s fair going out of our way, specially waking up extra early and driving extra minutes to go get YOUR coffee and to end up being closed. It’s unfair how you decide what time to open your coffee right then and there. I’m only Bringing this out because I know I’m not the only customer. We understand short staffed is sometimes the reason, but that has nothing to do with updating your hours. UPDATE YOUR HOURS ON YOUR WEBSITE.

Google
so glad a coffee bean opened up near me. as a socal native, coffee bean is my preferred coffee place and this location is no exception. very clean store, spacious, and well-organized. drinks were made to order, done correctly, and tasted amazing. also got a butter croissant because of a promotion and it was flaky, soft, and buttery. can’t wait to go back!

Was super excited to try their coffee after hearing great things. 30 min drive was in fact not worth it. I asked for caramel drizzle and no caramel in sight. Was super hyped up and was so sad when I got my coffee.

Alan S.

Yelp
Stopped in on a cool breezy Saturday early afternoon for nice coffees. My companion had the caramel and I had a mocha, but 12 ozs. Service was helpful, friendly and patient and our beverages were made and presented quickly. Great place to stop by.

Yelp
Ok i love coffee bean & tea leaf... I go ALL the time. I love that it is Vegas. When it first opened I liked this location. Lets start with the good -- it is clean and the servers are pretty nice. The drinks I have made here are okay. I LOVE the mango iced tea from CB&TL. I get it everywhere I go. It didn't disappoint recently. The shelves are all stocked and the product appears fresh in the case. However, the parking here is TERRIBLE. I have always found parking but it is like sardines on a very sloped parking lot. Recently CB&TL was running a gift card special. For 2023 holidays. It was clearly indicated to be available... I drove 45 minutes to get here from East County because this is the only one in PDX... and they said they were not doing the GC special. Ummm WHAT? Listen... they wouldn't even do anything about it even after finding out I literally drove all that way to get gifts for Christmas. They said that they were not participating and suggested I went online. If we want more up here they need to beef up their customer service and participate in corporate offerings in my opinion. Some may disagree but I am allowed my opinion. Not sure I will be back here. I will just visit the brand when I travel.

Yelp
My go to coffee shop! Staff is friendly, coffee is delicious, and the atmosphere is lovely! I recommend visiting here and it's a great place to study.

Jerry M.

Yelp
I will never be going here again. Now instead of closing at 4pm, they are closed at 2pm - again, with NO updates to their online platforms. Hours still say 5. First it switched to 4pm (without notice) and now I arrive at now even 3 and they are closed. You can't just up and switch hours whenever you want, without switching hours online. This business is clearly not doing well, and will continue to decline because customers are unaware when the place is even open. Such a bummer, I really loved this place

Mikki B.

Yelp
My sister was visiting from out of town and she wanted to get some of the vanilla powder they carry. We called from downtown Portland approximately 20 mins before closing and the manager said she would wait for us! Not only that but when we got there she made us drinks!! Both were delicious and the manager was amazing. Thank you!!

Racine C L.

Yelp
Getting so tired of the ridiculously sweet drinks. If I order a drink and request "half sweet," it still comes with 32 grams of fkking sugar. Get a grip on reality.

Nina R.

Yelp
We kept hearing about this place from family and friends so we finally made the drive all the way from Salem and it was worth the drive!! We ordered 5 different drinks and each one was so delicious!! This coffee has such a creamy texture iced or blended. Unlike the bigger franchise coffee companies that when you go and order blended coffee is more ice than coffee and is pure sugar in my opinion you can't even taste the coffee. The manager was super nice and friendly!!

Yelp
Welcome to our neighborhood! We've been missing our Starbucks that used to be at this location. The local after school crowd is already embracing this place. The Salted Caramel Latte is smooth and creamy. It doesn't turn my stomach the way that the Starbucks Lattes do. I love the Chai Tea Latte with Oatmilk, equally as creamy and yummy Convenient front and back of the building free parking and street parking. Conveniently located on the triangle corner of McVey and Parrish next to Anytime Fitness and across the street from Grimm's Service station.

Yelp
The First Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf in Oregon! The interior was clean, spacious, and a great study spot. The staff were nice and patient and brought out our drinks very quickly. We got the iced mocha latte and an iced flat white. Each drink had a strong but pleasant espresso taste which I enjoyed as I don't want my drink to be too milky. The location was great and there's a large parking lot in front!

Casey R.

Yelp
I am so happy to finally have a coffee bean in Oregon and I am more than happy to make the drive. There is no comparison between Coffee bean and any other coffee shop around. The staff is super friendly and always make my drinks just right! I highly recommend the mocha ice blended and cheese jalapeño bagel! My only complaint is not the best parking lot or location but hopefully there will be more Coffee Beans to come!

Ammara T.

Yelp
Super excited to have the Coffee Bean in the neighborhood. There coffee is top notch and so flavorful. The staff was really welcoming and I've already gone back 3 times since its only a 5min drive from my place. I recommend trying out their Mocha and Latte drinks which are delicous. They also have a huge selection of teas and chai teas. Convienently located with some partking spots as well!

Caitlin M.

Yelp
There's a new coffee joint in town and it blows Starbucks out of the water. I would always choose Peets or Ava Roasteria over Starbucks but now that Coffee Bean has arrived, this is my number 1 choice! It's the first Oregon location and we get to enjoy it right here in Lake Oswego! The lobby is full of natural light and there are a few tables to sit inside. There are also USB ports for those that want get things done while enjoying delicious coffee. The staff of course is wonderful and welcoming! They have a display case full of delicious pastries and a menu that won't overwhelm you. You can keep it simple or spruce things up with whatever combination you want. And Tea!!! They have tea! Iced tea, hot tea and tea lattes!!!!!! If you haven't had a tea latte here, this is something you must try. I need to look at the tea selection to see if there's any changes but I know that the Moroccan mint tea latte was a favorite as well as the chai tea latte. Now for the coffee! The espresso doesn't leave a bad after taste like that other place. It's smooth and delicious by itself, over ice. They have an extreme mix they can use in the ice blended and iced drinks if you need that extra kick of caffeine. They have no sugar added options but as far as other alternatives if you have restrictions, I can't answer that just yet. This is a place where you can't go wrong with any beverage in my opinion and if you don't like what you chose, they will remake it. They do have an app but I have not signed up to see what the reward situation looks like! To be continued.....

Yelp
I was super excited to see that there was a coffee bean nearby when I moved here! Came in to do some work on Sunday 11/19 and the 3 girls working were so distracting. They were yelling and laughing so so loud it was ridiculous. They were also blasting music and constantly changing the songs and when people were trying to order they continued to just sit down behind the register and yell over the customers trying to order. Over all very disappointing, most people prefer being able to concentrate on the work they're doing at a coffee shop and not have to listen to the employees yell and gossip.

Elyssa S.

Yelp
The other reviewers are definitely right about this place, they clearly still haven't figured out how to run a coffee shop or business properly yet. Drove 30 minutes to try this place because a good friend of mine has one she frequents in Vegas and raves about it but when we got there at 8:30am they were out of their cold brew! And were told it would be another 2 hours before they had more ready. Okay, clearly someone dropped the ball on making more for the morning crew, stuff happens. I decided to try again the next day. Drove 30 minutes again and was sure to get there at opening so we wouldn't miss out. Their hours are listed as 6am to 6pm 7 days a week. Arrived at 6:05 and they were closed!! There wasn't even someone in there prepping! Not sure how any business can possibly be successful being ran this way but I wish them luck. I however will not be giving them a third chance.

Yelp
Was in this morning and same thing happened! I've been in before and the drinks were good, but today the gal didn't use the measuring cup and seemed to be throwing things together. I asked for mine to be remade three different times in HOPES that she would FINALLY actually use the measuring cup, and she never did. I've worked at a coffee bean and I know how things work. As someone with a history of an eating disorder, it makes me feel uneasy that someone just throws drinks together without measuring.

Yelp
Yay! Coming from Los Angeles super happy to see there is a coffee bean! I came in right when they opened and they were pleasant and the drink was awesome. I ordered an iced coffee and it was consistent to what I was use to in LA

Mike C.

Yelp
Drinks are inconsistent, some staff members are nice and skilled and others seem unhappy and untrained, but the most frustrating aspect to this business is their lack of respect for people's time. As this is the only CBTL in the area, people drive here from far away just to find that the staff decided to randomly close early, sometimes by 2 hours or more. This happens a lot. In fact, we purchased a gift card for a family member for here and they let us know that after ordering their drinks, everyone sitting inside was asked to leave because they were going to close at 3 something that day. That's something you expect from a dying local business, not an expanding national brand and this has been happening since this location opened. Very disappointing.

Yelp
As a HUGE Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf lover I am absolutely thrilled that there is finally one in Oregon! I drive from Happy Valley 2-3 times a week (sometimes more) to Lake Oswego for my CB fix. No other coffee company can compare. I grew up with CB in Santa Barbara, CA before moving to Oregon 5 years ago; every time I hold my Ice blended mocha I feel like I have a little piece of home. The staff here has changed quite often since opened but they've all been so kind. I miss Vivianna as the manager-- she ran a tight ship! But Willow is still working there and she's amazing at making your drink exactly how you like it.

Yelp
my favorite coffee :3 I went all the time in la and I was so happy to see there is one here in lake o. their hazelnut flavor is top notch, and the staff is wonderful:) thanks ya'll!

Scott R.

Yelp
The food and coffee are great for a chain place! Really. Arrived around 7:20am this morning to see they had a sign on their door listing new hours for May as 7:00am-5:00pm...with the store unfortunately completely closed up and nobody inside. Happy to say I ended up going to a local place nearby that was infinitely better. Not to say I won't ever revisit CBTL but not reliably knowing if they'll be open definitely makes them an afterthought.

Stephanie D.

Yelp
I was so happy to see this store pop up! Their drinks are such a nice change from the other coffee shops, from the powders they use, to different iced teas options and even the ice they use and the way they blend it is just better, in my opinion. I will drive the 10 extra mins just for this coffee, plus the order ahead option is so convenient. The baristas are always very friendly too.

Emily G.

Yelp
Most of the time my experience here is really good, but like one of the other reviews, this place is so hit and miss. Most of the staff members are really friendly, but some seem so unhappy to be there, so it kind of kills the atmosphere. The drinks are sometimes inconsistent, so it's kind of annoying when I expect my drink to taste a certain way and it tastes completely different than what I'm used to having. I'm giving it 4 stars because most of the time, it is good and the staff members are friendly. Took off a star due to the unfriendly staff member and the inconsistency.

Mario S.

Yelp
I really want to give this place 5 stars because it takes me back to memories of my hometown and I really want it to do well so they can open more in the area but the fact that the hours are so inconsistent is a huge deal breaker for any customer. Already tried this place twice, First time it was just ok, staff was somewhat friendly but the drinks just weren't 100% (I'd say about an 80% which is still good) what they should be and I go to the coffee bean everytime I go back home (and that's every other month). Place was clean though and nice ambiance. Second time we wanted to give it another shot so we made the almost 40 minute drive just to find out it was closed an hour prior the supposed closing time. And for what I read, other people have experienced the same thing. What I'd recommended to whoever is running this business is please fix the staffing issue to have more consistent hours and provide better training for you employees so the drinks are more accurate to the coffee bean standard because this coffee shop has the potential to be better than Starbucks and Dutch Bros hands down. Hope I can update my review to a higher rating next attempt, maybe third time is the charm, we'll see...

Samantha S.

Yelp
I am so excited to finally have a coffee bean location in Oregon!! I grew up going to coffee bean and have missed it every day since I moved! The location is so lovely, clean, and the baristas were fantastic! I will be making trips weekly :)

Jasmine D.

Yelp
Friendly staff and coffee drinks are great. They don't carry speciality flavors like seasonal peppermint so just be aware, good ambiance and set up. Still need to work out the kinks of opening a new store, app is tricky and non reliable one day a free drink redemption point means any free drink the next day it means medium only drinks (?) staff need to work collectively to make consistency in drinks, twice I've had luke warm latte's and other times they're perfect, same with taste of added shots sometimes it's perfect other times I go it tastes super different

Robert D.

Yelp
Very clean, spacious. Glad to to have located in Hallinan. Cons: insufficient tables outside; no trash receptacle on patio; employees could use little more OJT.

Rochelle R.

Yelp
Unfortunately staff didn't wash hands between sweeping the floor and emptying the trash. Interesting that the Matcha Latte power has milk in it. Not a great experience. $6 drink went down the drain.
