I love CBTL; their tea drinks are great. However, the staff at this location on 17th St. is unfriendly and does not practice basic courtesy or customer engagement. I can order drinks that are tasty and served quickly, but for 99% of my visits not one employee will greet me, make eye contact, smile, engage in any light conversation, say thank you or you're welcome. They barely acknowledge that there are customers in front of them. The atmosphere here is somber - like a sad museum. Please teach these people to engage the customer. Don't make the excuse that they are too busy, they aren't when I visit. It would make for such a better experience if the staff was friendly. I'll go out of my way to the CBTL in Yorba Linda/Placentia if at all possible, where the staff is friendly and engaging.
