🫠Cookie Butter Latte….. oh my goodness. I thought it would be to sweet (even though I like sweet) and the thought of butter in my coffee has always made my stomach turn. I tried something new and it was wonderful! Before I left the store I was turning my cup upside down trying to get every drop. Helpful, friendly, and patient staff 💕

I go almost every day. There’s always this guy with braids who’s incredibly rude. He doesn’t say hello, and you can tell he doesn’t like working there. But if you don’t like customer service, you shouldn’t work in restaurants. He makes the experience awful.

Was there around 10am today every time I go there I notice new employees cashier not getting proper training I order what I always like extreme caramel cashier overheard me say supreme so I replied no extreme he asked the manager if he knew supreme so the manager goes to whatever the cashier told him instead help the customer So if can get my order right that’s obvious will not make my drink righ So I choose Starbucks over this particular location that always is running understaffed and counter dirty. Choose wisely and give your money to a company that will appreciate your business

Was there earlier today and barista was rude and unfriendly. Didn't great or ask how can he help. Instead, he said "what do you want" in a rude manner and when said what we wanted he then put his hands up 🤷🏽‍♂️ and frustrated asked hot, iced or blended? Seems like either a previous customer annoyed him or he really doesn't like his job.

Whoever was working today around 6pm deserves a raise for the drinks they made for my mom and I. Excellent service and amazing drinks 😍!!!! We’ve never been happier.

I love CBTL; their tea drinks are great. However, the staff at this location on 17th St. is unfriendly and does not practice basic courtesy or customer engagement. I can order drinks that are tasty and served quickly, but for 99% of my visits not one employee will greet me, make eye contact, smile, engage in any light conversation, say thank you or you're welcome. They barely acknowledge that there are customers in front of them. The atmosphere here is somber - like a sad museum. Please teach these people to engage the customer. Don't make the excuse that they are too busy, they aren't when I visit. It would make for such a better experience if the staff was friendly. I'll go out of my way to the CBTL in Yorba Linda/Placentia if at all possible, where the staff is friendly and engaging.

Came for a morning pick-me-up and ordered my go-to drink, Mango Cold Brew. Since I have rewards, I ordered a large for the price of a regular size! $4.85 My favorite drink on the menu because it's so refreshing. It was a quick grab and go however, I ordered a large and unfortunately the drink tasted a bit diluted. Every time I go into a coffee bean store and order it, sometimes it's a hit-or-miss. The employees were very kind and friendly though, the person taking my order was very personable once they learned my name :)

Coffee bean is not usually our coffee spot, but so glad we went today because Kevin was amazing! Will def be back because Kevin was so friendly and welcoming. There's nothing that beats great customer service and a friendly smile. He tried their dried ice Americano and legit half sweet my new favorite drink.

The drinks are always great but every time I go the service and the baristas are so rude. I went earlier today and the gentleman in the beret looking hat that took my order was great but I left feeling bothered because one of the baristas putting the drinks out to the counter rolled her eyes when I asked for a cup holder. At first I didn't think she heard me so I asked a second time and her face said everything she couldn't. I normally don't leave reviews especially if they're not that pleasant but this location has been too consistent with the rudeness of the baristas.

I ordered through uber eats and they wouldn't refund for the wrong order. I ordered a cookie butter with extra caramel and I have received just pure cookies and cream. Unacceptable! *UPDATE* After speaking to the manager Dave he was offered me either a refund at the store or a new complimentary drink. I opted for a new drink! Finally got the right order!

I walked into an empty coffee shop at 815am. I was surprised because I remember when Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf were always busy. Now I know why... I walked up to the counter and had no greeting. Not even eye contact. If I hadn't said anything, I would probably just stood there. I ordered a bagel and a coffee. No "Thank You"... nothing. He just turned around and started the bagel as I was using the CC processor. I guess he was done with me. A receipt wasn't even offered. Now bagel was handed within 7 minutes and coffee wasn't even started. No problem, mobile order was first. Coffee was good, but again, no thanks. No music, no warm, friendly atmosphere. I am done.

2/4/23 Gotta be honest, I had a gift card for CBTL, so I redeemed it. Chose the Jasmine Dragon green tea (or something like that) latte, hot. Selected regular size but I sure got a huge amount when I had them use my own container!! They almost filled it to the brim!! Plus, it was 25 cents off for using my own container too. My drink tasted pretty great & was crafted in a fairly decent amount of time. The shop has plenty of seating area indoors & outdoors. Staff were amiable. The music wasn't too loud--could've hung out if I stayed. If only if it was close to home...

I'm a huge coffee bean fan and I am disappointed with this location. Customer service wasn't there and neither was their coffee. My coffee was watered down and clumpy from the vanilla powder. Waste of my time and money. My first and last time I will ever order here. I would rate this 0 stars, but I'm forced to rate it at least 1 star. So disappointed.

Service here is terrible. Staff here are not welcoming at all. No hello, nothing. It was kind of dirty during morning time. I didn't know if I wanted to give them service or not due to poor customer service. I got a vanilla latte it was not hot but warm. It was either here or Starbucks.

I have only had a friendly encounter at this location ONCE and that was 3 years ago. All of the baristas are so rude, and there's a specific girl that takes orders in the morning that looks like she hates her job. I don't know who the manager is, but you should tell your employees to NOT give customers annoyed looks because they asked for a receipt. She might as well have rolled her eyes at my husband yesterday. Please go find a different career path if you don't like customer service because you're pretty awful at it. Due to that horrible experience yesterday, I decided to order on the app and let me tell you..... the baristas themselves are no better! I thought it would be courteous to let them know that I was there for my mobile app order and the baristas looked SOO annoyed that I even let them know. Do all of us a favor and fix your attitudes but if you want to work somewhere where you can keep your attitudes, Good NEWS! The DMV has openings every year.

I placed a mobile order and walked in and headed to the mobile pick up counter I walked in at the time it indicated the pick up would be ready I noticed 2 drinks that looked similar to mine was placed down but the young lady who put them there did not call out a name or indicate who they were for, I still needed 1 more drink anyway so I continued to wait and after 10 minutes I asked if my Order for my name was ready? I pointed at the 3rd that was still sitting BEHIND the counter with no sticker on it and asked if that was mine? "Oh yeah and the other 2 are right there" and pointed at them CALL THE NAMES OUT NEXT TIME DONT JUST PLACE THEM ON THE COUNTER AND EXPECT PEOPLE TO KNOW WHO ITS FOR To top it off the 2 that were for my kids were not made correctly and got thrown out after one sip Thank you for for wasting my time and money

I love Coffee Bean, but I don't love this location. They've been out of my favorite teas, don't always have an accurate menu on the Coffee Bean app, have made drinks incorrectly, and can be slow and unfriendly. With that said, this is still the closest Coffee Bean to my work, so they do get my business. But if you're not in the area already, I wouldn't make this location a destination. Sorry!

I sat down to charge my phone and Infront of anyone he raised his voice at me and said "you have to buy something here to be able to stay here" INFRONT OF EVERYONE! First thing I did buy something which he would have known if he would have asked his coworkers. Secondly he did not have to say that out loud for everyone to hear. Third, there were people on the laptop that was here longer than me THAT DID NOT BUY ANYTHING, and did not speak to them in that manner. I believe he was the manager. I will no longer use coffee bean & tea leaf. They purposely blocked all their plugs in the coffee shop. I needed to get coffee and reply to some work issues and my laptop battery was too low. They had the plugs all in the right place, they installed them all and then purposely blocked use of them.

It's weird how they apply rules to some people but to others they don't haha. I saw someone was yelled at and kicked out for not buying a drink and just being in here to chill. I do think I saw an old lady tell on the person who was kicked out lol super lame. Usually not everyone buys a drink and just stays in the shop but they don't get yelled at (especially the homeless). I was told you can't leave items in the shop but I always see an older lady leaving items in here to go to her car. If you're going to apply rules then you better do it to everyone because it's not cute to play favorites :)

I would give this place 5 stars since everything was good, the coffee, the wait time for the coffee, seating outside the business so I can drink my coffee but what I didn't like about this location was the amount of dirty looks I got, specifically this one dark male with dreads. As soon as I arrived I received many looks from him specifically, don't know what his deal is but he made it an uncomfortable situation for me and my girlfriend. Other than that my experience with this coffee bean went well.

First Impression + parking lot, accessible + nearby eateries or grab & go goods for purchase (similar to Starbucks) + something for everyone: cold brew, iced, blended, decaf, capp, latte, tea, etc. [I ordered a one shot cappuccino with almond milk and it was good] + appeared sanitized and clean, nutrition pamphlets available if that's your thing [flavored drinks, more caloric] + merchandise and beans for sale + walkable from many work locations ~ service was timely, not overly inviting, not out of the ordinary ~ not necessarily a quiet spot, well trafficed area Overall, if you want coffee and you're in the area... I'd recommend it.

I don't really go to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf but I stopped by this location because I was waiting for the near restaurant to open for lunch. This place is horrible! When I arrived, there was one person in front of me and 4 people working behind the counter. I even tipped when I ordered and I did not ask for the receipt (next time I will). 15 mins later, the place is packed and there is still no one called for my drink. I went to the counter saw a hot coffee drink sitting on the counter thinking that might be mine but when I inquired about it, it was something else. By then it was about 17 mins later after I ordered. I was about to cancel my drink but I didn't have my receipt!!!They asked what I ordered and all the sudden, they pulled out the drink from the counter? No apology for the long wait, or not calling me when my drink is ready? Very bad customer service! I know for sure I won't step in to this shop ever again, or any Coffee Bean and Tea Leave stores. I should have sticked with Starbucks!

I came in for a morning coffee, which I do every day. Had the misfortune of having Tahti (unknown if that's how you spell it) who is shockingly a shift supervisor or manager. I was given the rudest "what's your order" when I asked "hello how are you?" She continued to roll her eyes. I would give her the benefit of the doubt that maybe she was having a bad day, but it was 830 in the morning. I'm not one of those people expecting a joyful greeting, I get it, mornings suck, but to be absolutely blatantly rude to the point numerous customers in line noticed it, is a shameful way to represent a company.

I love coffee bean. They use the good oat milk, are always friendly, and make good lattes. My go to is definitely a hazelnut latte with oat milk, but i recently tried their new Macadamia White Chocolate Latte. Definitely on the more softer side. More chocolate than coffee with a hint of Macadamia. My partner is not much a coffee drinker so this was perfect for him. I on the other hand was wanting more of the coffee flavor. I was left wanting more. But like i said this latte is definitely on the more softer side and i feel like if it tasted more like coffee all the flavors within it would just simply overpower one another rather than compliment. Theres no need to say, but i will definitely always pick coffee bean over starbucks any day.

To say the least, I love this location. Lexi is awesome, I had purchased a couple of drinks earlier in the day and they ended up tasting off and a bit watered down. I was in a rush so I could go back right away to have them corrected. Called and asked if they can do anything for the inconvenience and she was happy to remake my drinks for me. Inconsistent from other coffee beans, workers are often never making eye contact or greeting. Finally got salty enough to write a bad review due to never getting whip cream here. I've bought tons of drinks here and from coffee bean in general. This location always drops the ball almost completely. You can see in the photo it says whip cream. It's a $7 drink generally. This store location is not safe. The address is 2264 17th street Santa Ana, California. Although their tea is amazing tonight's experience was very scary. There is an older gentleman that came in around 5:30 p.m. with a large black gym bag and black ankle tracker on his right leg. He came in with another man but that man did not stay around. I left immediately and won't be planning on going back to this location again in the future.

I just love coffee bean. It's one of my favorite coffee spots to go to. I order the cafe vanilla which Is what I normally get but today it didn't taste as sweet. It was still good but just not the same. Also had the ice blended caramel drink that I purchased for my boyfriend he had no complaints. Inside the restaurant was very clean, they were practicing social distancing and staff wore masks and there was hand sanitizer throughout. The shopping centre can get pretty crowded as there are other restaurants in the area so finding parking was difficult but aside from that it was all good.

I LOVE coffee bean. It is by far superior over the competitors. With this being one of the last coffee beans in Orange County i want to support it to help keep it around, but the staff make it really hard to do. My families favorite winter drink is the winter dream latte, I thought about purchasing 3-4 kits of vanilla and the tea for gifts this Christmas. The employees here make it EXTREMELY hard to want to support such business. I had questions on how to make the drink 2 scoops of vanilla or one? One bag of tea or two? The staff was unwilling to help and so rude. Like a little rude gang behind the counter. So I decided I'll grab myself a drink and spend my Christmas money else where. With that they were SO irritated with my existence they made my usual coffee order horribly. When asked to remake it because it tasted like water not coffee they remade it just as worse but in the other direction. When asked about a store manger they pointed to the name on the glass door giving ZERO sh*ts. Whoever manages and owns this location I hope they see this. This all happened on 12/12/23 at 9:00am check your staff. Working should be enjoyable! Life is too short To hate your job or treat people In this manner. If you feel like your job is bringing this out in you, please, find a new one!

Ordered a large hot chocolate. I had not taken a sip for 5 mins or so to let it cool down and then I noticed they gave it to me only 75% full and didn't notice until the whipped cream melted. I thought I had taken a few sips without realizing but no, they just probably wanted to save on their milk. If I pay full price for a drink you'd think you'd get a full drink, right? Normally this wouldn't have bothered me as much, but I was already having a really crappy morning and just wanted to treat myself. Was already too far to go back. Very disappointed.

as a white male, I feel extremely unwelcome in this store and will not be returning. it's clear they only want Mexican customers here. they don't great you and treat you rudely. they are very unfriendly. Out of all the coffee beans I have gone to this one is the worst! The staff is always rude and seem like they absolutely hate their lives. Also there is always so many bum outside asking for money. I am obsessed with coffee beans pumpkin drink and got an email that today is the last day for it...the girl was so rude and snapped that it was out of season and roller her eyes and went back to whatever it was that she was doing. I called to the Yorba Linda location and they were happy to tell me they still have it!! Therefore I will NEVER come to this location ever again.

I always want to give the benefit of the doubt. People have bad days, stressful rushes wear staff down, any number of issues could contribute to someone not being at their best when they greet you. I grew up going to this location. I've been served by some awesome people who I can only assume have left for various reasons. The last three times I have been to this location I have felt incredibly unwelcome. I work in the service industry. i make sandwiches on a line of peopling doing the same thing. I know it's not fun. That's why it's a job. The staff seem to be under the misconception that they are doing us a favor instead of providing a service that is being paid for. Every staff member I have interacted with in my last three visits appeared visibly annoyed when I went to order, asked for napkins, etc. I understand that sometimes it's a grind to go to your job, that's why you're paid to do it. If you don't like your job or you don't think you're getting paid enough, look for work elsewhere, but don't make me feel like i'm inconveniencing you by giving you business.

I love Coffee Bean, I used to work at a Coffee Bean - but I do not like this one. - This location is inconsistent, I can taste it in their drinks (Iced Hazelnut Latte with oat milk that I have ordered more than once); the shots they pull are bitter and the powder ratio is not consistent. - Today, I ordered an English Breakfast Hot Tea with two tea bags and steamed soy milk, and I couldn't even drink it when I got to work because it was so bitter. It tasted like the barista on bar this morning just dumped cold soy milk in there and called it a day. I even took the time to stop by on my way home, explained to one of the baristas on duty that my drink wasn't great, and he didn't even apologize. Just asked for the adhesive label with my order on it and asked me if I wanted him to make it again. I said, "No, thanks," as it was still warm at that point in the day, and said that an Orchard Peach Iced Tea would suffice. Well, that turned out to be another disappointment. How the f**k do you mess up Orchard Peach Iced Tea?! It didn't taste like anything, like slightly flavored water. Are you guys brewing tea directly in pitchers, like you're not supposed to do?
