The Best Breakfast Sandwiches in the East Bay | Eater SF

"Half sit-down diner, half-takeaway coffee shop, this Grand Lake neighborhood spot lets you choose your own adventure. All to-go breakfast sandwiches come standard with tomato and pepper jack — an unexpected-yet-welcomed choice. Coffee is delightfully first-wave." - Ori Ravid

Quality: 5 Value: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Coffee Mill is a rare thing in Grand Lake: an affordable, humble, non-gentrified, and opposite-of-pretentious little family diner. They have all the great "American" style diner foods you could want, plus great coffee and snacks to go. They're not the fastest service, but its literally the same set of two or three staff every time you go in doing all the work - so you can get to know their names, and vice versa.

Google
Giving two stars instead of one because the barista is very nice. However, the coffee is extremely bitter, there’s no wifi, and there’s very little seating unless you’re eating in the restaurant. It’s also expensive, with a small regular latte costing $5.

It is located on the Grand Ave Oakland, CA 94610…. The coffee shop inside is really big with a lot of table open for dining… Love the customer service with the respect for the customers…hope that always you guys work on the customer service!!!

This is a great local cafe with a cozy atmosphere and friendly staff that always make you feel welcome. The food is tasty with fresh ingredients, and there are seating options both in and outdoors that can accommodate a variety of group sizes. This has been my favourite breakfast spot for years and I feel like a member of the family when I'm here. Their coffee is wonderful as well, if you are just looking for something to go. Even if their kitchen is closed they won't turn you away hungry and will offer to make you a sandwich to go. This is the best cafe!

This place is great. It's exactly what you want from a local coffee shop/diner.

Google
Amazing diner food! Crispy hash browns, creamy gravy, and the best corned beef hash from the griddle. Would definitely come again. One note - bathroom wasn’t great when I went. Not sure if this is a regular thing or just happened to be the case when I was there. Would try to use the restroom somewhere else before going

I love the coffee and always grab it on the go. Today I had time for a leisurely breakfast so I’m dining on the patio under a heat lamp on a rainy dreary Monday - how perfect for my taste buds! The house blend coffee is my favorite—it’s a combo of French, Italian and Colombian beans! We usually do delivery from The Coffee Mill but since I’m out and about I’m so glad that I’ve experienced the French toast in person! It’s delightful with their unique syrup and powdered sugar. I added a delish scrambled egg on the side. This may have to be my meal for the day from a calorie perspective but who’s counting! 😉 I also love the folks who make this place purr—they are sweet and kind. Drop by!

Yelp
i'm a regular at the coffee mill, and it's hard to beat. my go-to is the spicy sausage omelette with hashbrowns and sourdough toast--generous portions, always cooked just right, and somehow even better when you're half awake and need something substantial. the food is classic diner fare but done with care, and i've never walked out hungry or disappointed. what really makes this place, though, is the people. the owner, susie--except, good luck getting her to answer to that, because for years she insisted we call her "gorgeous." she's a legend in the neighborhood, knows everyone's name, and has that rare talent for making you feel like you're part of something. it's the kind of spot where you end up chatting with your neighbors and leaving in a better mood than you came in.

Yelp
First time trying Vietnamese coffee and it was so good!! Unfortunately they don't give out the WiFi login despite the Yelp page saying WiFi is available. The barista was so nice and apologetic re: the misinformation. She said she's tried to update the Yelp page but no luck. I appreciated her empathy and concern for my experience as a customer. The inside isn't fancy but I had no trouble finding seating. Would come back with friends and try some of their other items but will look elsewhere when I want to get work done.

Yelp
If you're looking to a quality (slightly overpriced) breakfast or brunch spot near the Grand Lake the coffee mill impressed me. Again, a little higher priced then I will pay for a spot I'm going to take myself to solo regularly (33$ for Benedict and coffee for one after tax and tip) but; for a breakfast spot to take friends or partners to it's excellent. My food tasted great, good portions on both the breakfast and the coffee (my ice latte came in a half liter I could refill). On top of that the service was friendly, a touch chatty but in the right way. The checked in on me throughout. From my other reviews you'll see that often the price range would ding it down to a four but the portions, service and food itself pushed this to five for me despite that. The kind of place I will keep in the back of my mind and come back to on a special opening for people I'd like something local but marvelous.

Yelp
This is my favorite brunch spot in Oakland! The shrimp and grits are amazing and is my favorite item on the menu. The biscuits and gravy are another great option. Be sure to try the muffins, donuts, and other pastries. They are a great dessert option after a scrumptious brunch! Staff is super friendly and cares very much about our appetite and satisfaction! Great outdoor seating available.

Yelp
Visiting my old neighborhood recently, I was pleasantly surprised to find The Coffee Mill still standing and serving up tasty food and delish coffee after all these years. This visit I got an egg, bacon, and Swiss breakfast biscuit sandwich and a latte. When I walked in, the owner and staff shared such sweet and friendly energy just as the place exuded over a decade ago. And the walls are still filled with colorful, vibrant artwork and thought provoking books. The Coffee Mill is truly a neighborhood gem worth cherishing for any local any year.

Yelp
Met up on a week day at 10 am with a friend who was having a breakfast burrito. It was very quiet. She was happy with her burrito and ha what some kind of red fruit smoothie that was served in a glass carafe. Service was discrete not to say slow. Bathrooms weren't the cleanest. Have they lost their mojo or interest?

Yelp
I ordered several breakfast wraps and a coffee to go. Service was great if you are picking up skip the register at the entrence and move to the other register on the left. Cute decore inside. I suggest asking for sauces if ordering to go. One of our wraps was missing avocado. 3 wraps and a large latte was $60

Yelp
Food was good, waitresses were kind! Kid friendly. I enjoyed the crab cake benedict. The hollandaise sauce is good. Got the egg well done bc i'm pregnant.

Yelp
I'm down here in the Grand Lake area visiting iconic Oakland restaurant locations with a local guide. This Coffee Mill has been here since 1974 I'm told, that's almost 50 years! My guide has been coming here since the 1990's so that's over 30 years. It's been remodeled some over the years and is now more of a breakfast place then bakery, though they still have a lot of baked good to sell like those flaky croissants. The service is quick enough, and more efficient than friendly chatty. We order omelets. Most omelets breakfasts are priced in the $17.00 range more or less and include the usual, toast choices and hashbrowns. The price of breakfast sure has gone up, add a coffee and tax and tip, you got a almost $30 per person breakfast! Glad I'm on an expense account! All the food was tasty and prepared well enough, but I couldn't see eating here 3-4 times a week for breakfast, that's for sure.

Yelp
This was a great breakfast and coffee spot. The baked goods and beautiful and delicious. The coffees are fresh and so good! We will definitely revisit this place.

Yelp
Pros: big portions and attentive service, big tables, huge menu Bad: food is lackluster/not good, expensive I don't think I would return since there are so many other good breakfast places around.
google avatar

Yelp
Great first time experience! We'll be back. We're checking out new places to eat breakfast.

Yelp
Disappointed in the biscuits and gravy!!!!! I'm from the south and love southern food, and I'm always looking for good hardy biscuits & gravy! I couldn't really taste the sausage and the gravy, and the gravy was oddly sweet that I didn't even want to finish it. The biscuits themselves were average. The green onions really don't do anything for the dish... I went here after the weekday lunch rush, and the servers there seemed stressed out even though it was empty.

Yelp
This is what you call the neighborhood spot. We have been going to the Mill for over 20 years now. What started off as a breakfast/brunch spot when I first lived in Oakland has now become a place near and dear to my heart. The menu is varied with your omelettes, scrambles, sandwiches, burgers, teriyaki rice plates, pancakes, waffles. If you want breakfast or lunch just come here. The pandemic brought outdoor seating that is always a go to for my family. What sets the place apart is Susie. The dynamic owner who knows everyone by their first name and even your order if you're a regular. She knew my wife and I when we were just married and met our sons when they were babies. Now they're grown up and she is like an Aunty to them, giving them muffins and almond croissants free of charge as well as Lai See (red envelopes) for good luck and wealth. Susie takes care of the whole neighborhood, giving food and soda to the homeless who amble by the shop. She is what sets Coffee Mill apart from the other breakfast spots. The Mill has added mimosas and mixed drinks so now breakfast has become brunch. An hour has become two as you start your weekend people watching on Grand. They've added a mean Chicken and Waffle too. The crucrisp of the chicken is perfect just like the hash browns. Want your Greek Omelette transformed to a beautiful scramble, just ask. Susie and her team know customer service. Food is not just about what you eat but where you eat and with whom you break bread with. The Mill makes it about home. A place where you go for the people just as much as the food. There are many places to eat by the lake and definitely try them out but home is where the heart is and my family have a home at the Coffee Mill.

Yelp
Super sweet service! Friendly and extremely hospitable staff, we had a lovely experience here. The food portions are huge and quality of ingredients made every dish delectable. We all ordered craft coffees and passed them around so we could each try. I would definitely recommend coming here, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
This breakfasty lunchity brunch spot is better than anywhere else in the Bay Area. Favorite food, amazing staff. I've gone here for a decade regularly and it's still superior to all other brunchly places. It's also run by a main character who loves working with her daughters and telling you how happy they make her... I love it there. And I loved it at home during lockdown when she kept it going for us!! (´o`)* Sit outside + Crab Cake Eggs Benedict Amen.

Alex F.

Yelp
Everything we had was absolutely delectable! Not sure why they don't have higher ratings. The service was fantastic, the food came out QUICK, the portions were extremely generous, and the quality was excellent! We ordered a side of extra crispy home fries (definitely recommend asking for extra crispy--crisped to perfection), shrimp & grits (delicious and ginormous), and an english muffin breakfast sandwich with sausage add avocado. this was the order for two hungry people to share, and the pics show what was STILL leftover after we were absolutely stuffed! A little over $40 including a generous tip! This is going to be a new staple for sure.

Yelp
This place has been here for 30 years and I had no idea. Since lake view cafe closed I started looking for another local breakfast spot. I left Safeway one day and passed the Coffee Mill and noticed it (FINALLY). Next day I woke up with a hunger for some good breakfast so me and my bf and my daughter decided to check it out. I am so happy we did!!! -Biscuits &Gravy DELICIOUS! The gravy was nicely seasoned and smooth and creamy. The biscuits were soft and moist but not over wet. -French toast came in a huge portion!! It was fluffy and soft. Super yummy with the thick syrup but not overly sweet at all -Bacon is huge and full of meat, nice and crunchy not super oily -Eggs & hash browns were gobbled up so fast because they were made perfectly and tasted perfect together. -the jam for my toast is made in house (just like everything else) it was bright in color and spread nice and evenly. I wish they jarred it and sold it -Chicken sausage is DELICIOUS and a nice size I can't get over how yummy this sausage was -Orange Mimosa was fire and a beautiful addition to our meal My daughter is 4 and she ate everything which is not common. We Weill be back!!

Yelp
Just came back from my first breakfast at the Coffee Mill. I've lived in the area and have been meaning to stop by, and I'm glad I finally made the trip. The process to get seated isn't entirely clear, especially when they are not super busy. There is a small table out front with a sign in sheet. However, I didn't see a pen, so I waited outside for one of the cash registers to open up. The person at the front cash register handed me off to someone behind the pastry case who would be able to seat me outside. I waited a few minutes, no big deal. The person grabbed a menu and escorted me outside. They asked if I wanted sun or shade. I opted for sun. I took a look at the menu and decided on the Benedict with extra crispy home fries. I waited about 8-10 minutes for the food to come out and was quite pleased when it arrived. It looked decadent and I was pleased that the potatoes were actually crispy! The Benedict was delicious and I wasn't expecting avocado, but it was a wonderful surprise. Unfortunately, I started getting full mid-Benedict, so I ended up leaving a portion of the biscuit behind. Overall, really enjoyed my meal and I'm bummed that I can't share the video of the perfectly cooked yolk. I look forward to returning!

Yelp
Great neighborhood cafe, with old-school, unpretentious, delicious, breakfast offerings. Friendly staff as well. I got an omelet and was very satisfied. The serving was large, with lots of cheese both inside and outside. Loved the buttered toast with jam. They had plenty of outdoor seating. Staff was friendly and attentive. I can see why it's a neighborhood staple. Looking forward to returning!

Yelp
Best biscuit breakfast sandwiches ever. I order these at least once a week. Also, their Dirty Chai, super yumms!!!

Yelp
I get treated like family here. Lotsa bacon, outdoor seating, smoothies, pastries, great coffee. Oldest Coffee shop in town for a reason.

Yelp
The Coffee Mill serves up breakfast and lunch at it's location on Grand Ave in Oakland. I originally stopped by for coffee, but left with a burger and onion rings. I always like it when a real restaurant serves a hamburger. Like today, when Coffee Mill prepared my burger, they cooked it just right. They serve the dressings on the side, so the customer can fix it up themselves. I asked for medium rare, and it was just right. One juicy burger, not dry or overcooked. Lightly seasoned. The onion rings were breaded and crisp. Thick and firm rings. Service was prompt and friendly.

Yelp
Great neighborhood cafe with outside seating great for dog owners like us. The staff seated us quickly and we were served our coffee quickly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich was was so good. It had a nice light fluffy egg with a tomato and sausage links. I ordered a side of sausage links for my spoiled dog to go along with her kibble. Many of the patrons ordered eggs florentine which I will have to try next time!

Yelp
I got strong "mom and pop" vibes from Coffee Mill and Bakery. The food was awesome and the hospitality even better. I have to first give a big shout-out to Susane, the owner, I believe. She spoke to each and every one of her customers as if we were family at a family reunion; you know, like that cool easy-going auntie (pronounced "aint -tee" in the South). As for the food, I had the French toast and the Salmon Benedict dish. The French toast with that cinnamon bread, nice touch by the way, was deliciously soft. The fruit on top of the toast made me feel sophisticated; wish I got the mimosa so I could drink with my pinky up. Don't make my mistake, get the adult beverage. Regardless, my main squeeze was the orange juice, freshly squeezed. C'mon folks, no cartons, no sweeteners, no high fructose corn syrup. Just nature's juice. Knowing that I am a skinny wiry guy, I had to further stuff myself with the Salmon Benedict with that smooth Hollandaise sauce and fresh-tasting fish; don't worry, I came prepared with my lactose-intolerance pills, even though I definitely ate bread also known to my stomach as gluten. Sure, my eyes became glossy but I think it was the "itis*" you know that sleepy feeling you get after eating and that dopamine release. What more can I say, this place was clutch on a Monday, Labor Day morning when everyone and their mother was going to brunch that day. Unfortunately, I absentmindedly forgot my leftovers on the table; yes, I was mad, very mad but also very full. That just means I'll be back. Trust.

Yelp
Omg, first time here and it was amazing. Service very warm and friendly like we knew each other. Food very good and tasty. Waffle fluffy and chicken crispy. I didn't get a picture of the white mocha latte I had but baby let me tell you. I'm going back for on Saturday morning( so lite and yummy) I need two. Parking can be ugly so give yourself some time and pay your meter! Don't leave anything in your car. Enjoy

Yelp
The oldest coffee shop? More like the RUDEST!!! Terrible service, meh food, ok coffee, high prices. I popped in on a weekday around 1p looking for a coffee and quick snack while waiting for a friend, and this place looked so quaint with lots of options. The cashier was nice enough. I ordered a sandwich and matcha latte TO GO which costed around $17. I paid with a $20, and said keep the change for a tip..........This is where the visit became bizarrely UNSETTLING. While waiting for my sandwich, my friend showed up and grabbed the menu thinking about ordering something TO GO also, so we sat on the patio. Another lady (asian lady, possibly the owner) who seemed to be pacing around frantically in a hypertensive crisis (even though there was one elderly couple on the patio ie not busy), comes over with a condiment caddy, to which I say, oh I'm just waiting for my to go order. So my friend keeps looking at the menu, and the lady comes out in a mood saying, your order is ready, IT'S BEEN READY, so I went inside to get it. The order was still being bagged by the cashier. After a minute, she hand me my latte and the to go bag, so I went back out to the patio where my friend was ready to make her order with the menu in hand. The frantic lady comes out again, YOU CAN'T SIT HERE!!! YOU CAN'T SIT HERE, THIS IS FOR DINING IN ONLY YOU - HAVE A TO GO ORDER!! YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PLATE!!! My friend was holding the menu about to order for herself, so I was like, ummm ok, bring me a plate then?!??!! .... thinking I could just have one bite of sandwich while we wait for my friend's order. The lady goes to take my to go bag like she was gonna leave and plate the whole thing. So I was like oh never mind, I will just wait. And this really set her off, saying - WELL I WAS ASKING YOU GUYS WHAT YOU WANTED TO DO BUT YOU WOULDN'T TELL ME. YOU CAN'T EAT OUT HERE. YOU CANT EAT OUT HERE! At this point it's just getting really disturbing and unsettling, so my friend decided not to order anything herself, and we walked through the café towards the front door. And the same lady was antagonizing us the whole way saying things like, THERE ARE SIGNS EVERYWHERE!!! my friend looks at her and was like, I was going to order but you are so rude!!! More attitude from the lady, so I called the rude lady a BEE-EYE--TEA-SEE-H. And she said, TAKES ONE TO KNOW ONE #1) are you in middle school?? #2) who talks to customers like that at an eating establishment???? I have never seen anything like that in my life SOOOO RUUUUDE!!!!!!! good luck with that

Yelp
Very attentive service & staff is helpful in explaining the foods. We came on a busy Sunday morning and they were quick to attend to us. Food is always a good quality and portion size. Though the prices are slightly high, it's taste is worth it! Unfortunately, the area has a bit of a lesser-fly problem in patio. But that can be expected for Oakland area.

Yelp
Hubby and I had a really pleasant experience dining here. We're first timers. Hubby was tempted to try next door but I told him next time bc I wanted to see what the fuzz is about the homemade biscuit. OMG it was hella good! I got the Jumbo scramble, no onions, extra spinach and add cheddar cheese. Hubby had the Mill #3, no grits, no waffle, but with potatoes (no onions) and French toast instead. Little to were extremely satisfied! Super friendly employees too!!

Consuela W.

Yelp
The best place ever for breakfast or lunch. The service is fanstastic. And the portions are hughe and delicious. Consuela

Yelp
Came here on a random weekday afternoon, got seated quickly after getting our temperature checked. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. After looking threw the menu, I decided to order the eggs Benedict. The eggs Benedict was a major miss. I mean the English muffing was more of a biscuit. The Canadian bacon was not seared well. The poached egg was definitely over cooked and last but not least Hollandaise was very sour and just wasn't good. The food was barely room temp. The only reason they get 3 stars is because my partners food was at least hot in temperature and actually quite nice. It was the chorizo omelette. Could use some seasoning. The home fries are 50% potato and 50% onion. I'm not sure but the food is overwhelming BLAND!

Yelp
So I absolutely live for my Jean shirts. Do you know I left one here ( didn't know) , came back a month later; they remembered me and gave me my Jean shirt. I said, I will be coming here all the time. They are magnificent for that. So years later, I'm still a die hard fan. The food has actually gotten much better over the years. They are so sweet in here. Like conversation and hugs all the time. Genuine owner and staff. The food is soooo good. Everything is good, seriously

Yelp
Quick service and perfectly lovely staff. I love to support a family owned business in the neighborhood! Got the cinnamon twist french toast w fresh fruit and iced coffee. French toast was fluffy and not too sweet. Wish I could get the wifi to work because I would definitely come back more to "work from home"!

Yelp
We were looking for something to bite before visits to rose garden. I was with my senior friend who needs to be careful to seating at the table, the owner lady assisted us so kindly and every server ladies were also very nice. Tasty coffees refill just in time, great service and foods! Thank you, I'll definitely come back from San Francisco

Yelp
I LOVE the Coffee Mill. We've been going here for years and it's always awesome. Suzanne is so attentive and somehow remembers what each of us want down to beverages and type of toast. My kids get their bagel and cream cheese and smoothie, and I get the spicy sausage and cheese omelet or the chicken and waffles. I like that they got grits too. You can get country if you need to. They recently upgraded their patio too, so it's a cool hang with plenty of sun or shade. Can't beat it. A lovely gem in Grand Lake.

Yelp
0/10 stay away from crab Benedict. This isn't even crab. They totally should not be serving this mess

Yelp
Stopped here for brunch on a sunny Saturday because it was a dog friendly restaurant. We had to wait about 15-20 minutes for an outside table. They had several staff members who kept checking in on us while we waited so it was a bit surprising that when we say down, no one came by for about 5 minutes. Once we did order, the food came very quickly. I had the crab cake benedict and my husband had the chicken Caesar salad. Their hollandaise was delicious...very light and lemony. Just enough extra to use on my crispy hash browns! The grilled chicken on the salad was juicy and well-drained - not the usually dried out afterthought you get on other salads. We'd definitely come back. Although the service was a bit slow, the people were warm and friendly and their food was great.
google avatar

Deidre S.

Yelp
really good cappuccino -- in a bowl! like in Paris France. I ordered eggs Florentine -- so good! fabulous kale, amazing hollandaise. my friends were very very happy with their biscuits and gravy (no judgement. but eww.) only down side was the patron with the miscreant dog who barked and growled at every other lovely dog there. No judgement but ... judgement. Get a grip, corgi face.

Yelp
The Coffee Mill is such a great neighborhood spot, and definitely a new favorite of mine. Their extensive menu has lots of delicious breakfast items to choose from. The smoked salmon benedict and the chorizo and cheese omelet are a couple of my favorites. Don't miss their biscuits, which are buttery and soft and pure bliss! The delicious food is reason enough to come, but the friendly, comfortable vibe really makes this place stand out. Everyone who works here is very friendly, and the service is always fast and attentive. During COVID, their outdoor dining is such a treat. Take your pick of a sunny or shady table, spaced way more than 6 ft away from other diners. Every time we come, it seems like many of the customers are regulars. We're excited to become regulars as well!
google avatar

Nialani A.

Yelp
Just stopped in for a late breakfast/brunch with my mom. We ordered 2 crab cakes and a grilled chicken Caesar Salad. The crab cakes were mushy, greasy and had some weird slimy ingredients...did not look or taste like crab. They forgot the grilled chicken on my salad...as I wait for the chicken, I begin eating the salad and there was PAPER in my salad! Looked like pieces of a brown paper bag. Instantly grossed out and turned off. Take it all back! First and last time here.

Lindsay F.

Yelp
I've tried the coffee and pastries a few times but I come back because the people working are always so kind..when I first moved here I forgot my wallet and didn't realize until I was at the cashier and she gave me my items on the house that day...every time I've been in they have been just as nice, will try breakfast here sometime :)

Yelp
My grandpa and I went to breakfast and he was in the mood for some shrimp and grits. I knew just the place! My cousin had taken to me to this spot before and I ordered the shrimp and grits. I remembered them being really good and reminding me of the shrimp and grits I was used to getting down in the south. So I took him to coffee mill and bakery. The ladies that work here are sooooooo nice and personable. They really build a connection with their patrons which is nice. Our waitress was super patient with us. My grandpa ordered the shrimp and grits. I ordered the crab cake Benedict. When our food arrived everything looked great. The food was nice and hot. Our waitress was attentive, asking if everything was ok and if we needed anything. The food was great. My grandpa was surprised by how good the shrimp and grits were. He really enjoyed them. Overall we both enjoyed our experience here this week.

Yelp
Lovely people who always let me drink coffee and write while they work around me. Rare find.

Yelp
Simply the best brunch spot in Oakland. No need for glitz or hip decor. Just the absolutely best service. Super friendly, fast, efficient and very welcoming staff. The coffee is great, the breakfast cocktails are strong and delicious and served promptly after ordering. The portions and quality of food is outstanding. Avocado and cheese omelette must have an entire avocado packed inside a cheesey, eggy pocket with another slice of cheese on top for good measure. The hashbrowns are crispy and cooked perfectly. And the toast isn't a place holder, but instead it's buttery and soft. I've order a side of bacon twice here and it's always at least 4-5 strips - perfectly crispy and super delicious
google avatar

Jamie P.

Yelp
The food is great! The only reason I give it a 2 star is because the service is terrible. I've been there a handful of times, and it never changes! Ther servers simply don't care!

Anita F.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite spot to eat. I've been coming here for many years. I've probably ordered everything they serve and it's always hella good. All my friends and family who I bring here ask to come back when they are in town. And the service is impeccable. They even remember how I like certain things like extra crispy hashbrowns. The owner is the sweetest lady you'll meet and all of her staff are the best! Oh and the prices are good. They also have a lot of coffee and bakery options. Outdoor seating with heat lamps and lots of indoor table seating. I've also met a lot of cool customers dinning here as well. Feels like a friends house when we come here. Absolutely love it!

Yelp
I checked this place out on a Sunday morning. There was no wait for dine in, and I was seated promptly outside. I ordered a coffee, white chocolate mocha and two egg breakfast with turkey bacon. They didn't have any creamer options other than half-and-half, so I switched my coffee to a white chocolate mocha. The breakfast was delicious and prepared expeditiously. I did have a few critiques: they need to have/use screens for outside seating; the pigeons are relentless and annoying and disgusting! Pigeons carry all types of germs, and they sit on the table and there is no sanitation before customers sit down after pigeons have been on the tables! I couldn't enjoy my breakfast, because I was constantly swatting away pigeons! I would return, but I would never sit outside again! The other critique is although the staff is very friendly and accommodating. they lack attentiveness. I wanted to order a mimosa and I wanted to move inside, both of which I didn't get to do because they never checked on me.
