Walked into the cafe and someone we were having lunch with was a vegan. There was no vegan options on the menu and once asked there seemed to be no vegan options which was extremely disappointing. The only option she could have was a portion of chips, however there was vegan cakes but no main options? Staff did not seem bothered in the slightest and once the food arrived some of it was only lukewarm

I had leek & potato soup on friday 20th September. The most tasteless bland soup I have ever had the misfortune of eating. It had no stock or seasoning & I had to add that much salt & pepper it was only tasting of salt & pepper. Very small portion but that was a blessing !! Extremely disappointed. Won't be back 😌

Anywhere that welcomes my dog with such open arms is worth 5 stars in my opinion! The food was basic but done really well, the staff were very friendly and of course the dog was treated more like a god. Prices were reasonable and the portions were more than enough to fill me up after a walk up Tinto on an empty stomach. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Lanark.

Where the walking dead go for their tea. Resembles a kitchen in a pensioner’s only prison. The food is bland and barely edible, staff are forgettable. There’s better options near by.

Superb place for lunch! Great coffee and the broth soup and bacon, Brie and cranberry panini was delicious.

One of the few places I know that gives you spreadable butter for your toast and lets you bring your dog

Visited this cafe about 10 times during a recent visit to the area. That staff were always friendly, the food quick, plentiful and well-presented in an easy-going atmosphere. We had a couple of diet restrictions, but nothing was too much trouble for the staff in the kitchen. And the coffee (espressos) was top marks, every time. Will be back for sure!
