My mother and I stayed at the Hope & Glory Inn and while there dined at The Colonnade. Chef Meseret gave us a dining experience we will never forget! Her sources for fresh produce and seafood, imaginative use of ingredients, and "just right" portion sizes were paired exquisitely with recommended wines. The meal couldn't have been more pitch perfect. Of special note, was the silky smooth, vanilla essence panna cotta served with a berry coulis for dessert. It was out of this world. I've never been the biggest fan of the dish, but Chef Meseret changed my mind!
In addition to her culinary expertise, she is an excellent hostess and worldly woman. She was so gracious when she came to check on us to inquire about our dinner. I learned how she prepared the panna cotta and she and my mother conversed in German. We also learned Meseret has been at the H&G for 19 years - how fortunate for the the inn! She's a true asset to the H&G as is Heather who did a beautiful job serving us that evening. Bravo ladies!!
