Absolutely loved this place! The whole idea is great and it wasn't a touristy spot. The brews were delicious and the food truck wad a great touch. We actually forgot the sticker we picked up at our Airbnb and didnt realize it until we wet hours away. These guys were kind enough to send us another one all the way to Michigan💜 this was our favorite brewery we visited on our Colorado road trip!

I've wanted to go to the brewery for a while now, But just had not had time to attend. I finally had some time to to go today. I had the farm amber ale and man was it was really good. I also tried different beers and none disappointed me. They are all rich and flavorful. My wife had the peach flavored beer and she loved it as well. We also tried the blonde and like all the others they were delicious. While sitting in the table I just felt comfortable and relaxed, it gave the feeling like I was just at home drinking and just enjoying the afternoon. Its an amazing and relaxing spot.

The Colorado Farm Brewery is an incredible place. The background story is so familiar to many when growing up in the family farm business. The owners of the Brewery had one those moments on how survive in the San Louis Valley and not sell the farm that go back generations of families that date back to the 1800s They took a chance and turn the farm into an amazing Brewery. We are so fortunate that they took a leap with beer. Their beer range from IPA’s Stouts, farmhaus potter and a few others. I first came to the brewery 2 year ago. Back then is was one building and now they have grown and build the beer yard, which is amazing during the warm season with plenty of sitting. A place space for the children. As soon the cold weather moves into the valley they are well prepare with individual fireplaces, overhead heating. Last but not least the amazing views of the mountains during the day is unbelievable. As soon as the sun goes down the location is a wonderful for start gazing. Stop by on Thursday-Saturday and check out what’s on tap.

Party of 5 and immediately found a table and broke out board games. We had amazing drinks and multiple flights to sample everything. Amazing environment a great band and the colorado grille food was incredible.

Amazing beer and amazing atmosphere! The owners are the best part of what makes this place great though!

We have been here a few times, but the latest was for a celebration of life for a dear friend who passed away recently. They reserved part of the outdoor patio for us. They have a great variety of beers, brewed on site with all local ingredients. The staff and owners are great people, always willing to help and give suggestions. It is family friendly and we will be back with our out of town guests.

My kids love it, they have fun with the other kids. Great staff and beer and great food trucks (each night it may differ) its great every time my family goes or we meet up with the friends and their kids. It's fun and sometimes theirs live music. Octoberfest is nice too when they join!

We always enjoy a brew here when we are in the San Luis Valley. The Cody family is top notch! Cheers.

Fantastic beer made from ingredients grown on the farm - what's not to like?! There is a large choice of specialty beers - light to dark. (There are photos of a typical menu. )They also have non-alcoholic canned sodas and water. Popcorn and peanuts in the shell for free. Every day they are open there is a food truck from a different business to satisfy your food cravings. There is a small amount of seating inside, as well as a large covered and heated area with fire pit tables and an outside area for kids to play. Though a ways out of town, This is a fun place to meet up with friends.

Great pub snacks-mainly food trucks. Beer is excellent. All beer ingredients are grown on the property. Live music and very nice outdoor venue.

It was a little slow the day we went, but we were earlier than the festivities started. Great concept. The beer was very good. The people there were super friendly.

The concept behind the Colorado Farm Brewery is amazing!! Everything is sourced from the farm, their own hops, grain, well water and yeast! All from the farm! Right there! The grounds are great, there are a few tables inside the tasting room, where you can see partially part of their brewery system behind glass windows. There is plenty of outdoor seating, covered and not covered. With fire pits, a playground for kids, and seems they always have a food truck available for food. Definitely off the beaten path, but a great fun find! And I hear the beer was excellent, from what my husband told me. I just enjoyed water. ;)

The Colorado Farm Brewery was a destination for us for both the fabulous brews, and a nice place to boondock as part of the Harvest Host program. The pineapple lager was stupendous! The food truck guys served up delicious sausage sandwiches with homemade coleslaw! Big tips all around. Lots of fun folks, lots of kids too, socially distancing and having a fine night out. A gastronomical good time was had by all! Highly recommend this venue! Note: only open Thursday - Sunday, mostly outside dining. Great summer destination!

What. A. Find. Sitting here beginning this review, an amazing cold German Lager in hand, I can't help but feel like this is the best damn brewery I've been too in a while. First, there's the atmosphere. A slight breeze coming off the impending storm clouds, which are so far keeping the rain to themselves. Wheat fields stretch out before us to the distant mountains, which are cloaked in varying shades of blue. The beer garden furniture is mismatched and homey, the perfect unpretentious setting to kick back a few. According to the bartender, they light a bonfire at night, which makes me want to stay until dark. A flock of wheeling birds takes flight every few minutes before landing in the fields again. This place is idyllic farmland at its best. I found this place by chance on Yelp, with one review, and decided to point E in its direction while visiting Great Sand Dunes for the weekend. To be honest, I wasn't quite sure what we'd find but I just hoped we didn't drive to the middle of nowhere for nothing. Lo and behold, we pulled in as the 6th or 7th car in the lot! As a bit of a background, the brewery is run by the same family that own Colorado Malting Company, which supplies malts to many larger brewers like Sierra Nevada and New Belgium. With a deep history of the beer business and a family brewer that's learned to brew around the globe, they decided to open their own small brewery in the San Luis valley. The true beauty of this place lies in the ingredients, grown and sourced from the surrounding land as much as possible. Batch #1, for instance, is made with all ingredients pulled from Colorado Malting Company fields - wild yeast captured from the air, hops sourced from the vine, malt grown in the fields, and water pulled from the aquifer. The milk stout uses milk from local Cody's Dairy (and honestly smells like a glass of milk on first whiff, which is very misleading of it's 11% ABV!). The Field, brewed with 50% malted rye and 50% malted barley harvested from their land, is an homage to the 2017 field crop. Everything is purposeful. Everything holds meaning. E and I began with a sampler of 6: the Batch #, Cody's Dairy Milk Stout, the SAP aged in Law's whiskey barrels, Pappy's IPA with chinook hops and alfalfa, The Field, and the Farmhaus Lager, a German Landbier. For one, I don't think I've ever had such a variety in a beer sampler, especially considering the beers involved don't include a lot of fancy ingredients. Each one was such a unique and beautiful representation of the surrounding land and the history and SW Colorado terroir of the Colorado Malting Company. E and I sat for quite a while, happily sipping our beers under the wonderfully cool respite of the clouds, feeling so lucky to have found this special brewery that speaks to family, and good beer, and celebrating the land. What a special, special place this is. If you're in the area, or even passing through, I highly recommend a stop.

A jewel of a find in the middle of wide open fields of the San Luis valley! We weren't quite sure what to expect for our Harvest Host experience. We found excellent beer and a laid back vibe. Some indoor seating and plenty outdoors (shaded and not) with fire pits and a playground area for kids. Great food truck, too! As far as camping goes, they mowed a small part of the field which worked out perfectly for not feeling like you're camping in the middle of a dirt parking lot. We'll be back!

Tasty brews to quench a thirst. Friendly service. Casual and laid back. Off the beaten path. Will try and stay a little longer next time.

Great brewery! We absolutely loved the setting right on the farm, and we had the pleasure to meet the husband and wife who own the farm. What a special place and a great experience!

Amazing brews and a friendly fun atmosphere. The best part is from the hops to the final product, all brews are made ON SITE. Really loved it here.

A new concept to micro brewing. Third generation family farm about to fail and be put up for sale. The farm grew grains and for the last ten years grew and marketed hops, key ingredient in beer. So with wheat, rye, barley and hops all being grown and harvest on the farm, water under the crops the idea of brewing beer on site vs selling the farm products was hatched. Third generation sons learned to brew beer and The Colorado Farm Brewery opened on the farm just outside Alamosa, CO. Some of the beers are 100% estate, a first that I know of. Most if not all uses CO ingredients. The only ingredient that might be foreign would be the yeast strain. Even the tables and chairs were made from a huge, very old tree the wind blown over and made by local Amish craftsman. The beers are excellent, the largers are true to there name. I worked on the small family farms in my younger days that are now long gone so in addition to excellent beer you have to root and support this new concept.

Great beer! Amazing scenery! You gotta come try this awesome brewery on the farm. I always leave with a growler refill for when we get home.

Nothing but great things to say about this brewery. The brews are exceptional, the people running the show are salt of the earth, and the story behind the operation is even better. My husband and I did a road trip from Texas up through Colorado and New Mexico hitting quite a few breweries along the way. This one stood out from all the rest. It is definitely worth a stop to enjoy good brew!
