Twin Cities’ Restaurant and Bar Closures to Know, September 2025 | Eater Twin Cities

"A basement club at Corner Bar that helped launch the 10,000 Laughs Comedy Festival and consistently provided a platform for up-and-coming comics, it lost its home when no new lease was offered after the building was sold." - Jeffy Mai

Came by for the open mic night. It's well organized, the comics tried their best, and I had plenty of laughs. For a free event I can't ask for much more. I'd encourage getting there early because seats fill up quickly. I'll definitely be going back, and 5 stars from me!

I had a hilarious time at The Comedy Corner Underground! The atmosphere was delightfully quirky, with a mix of laughter and a bit of chaos in the dark basement setting. It felt like a gathering of fun-loving degenerates, which only added to the charm. I highly recommend bringing your girlfriend and introducing her to the host for a memorable experience. If you're looking for a good laugh, this is definitely the best spot in Minneapolis!

Always enjoy the Comedy Corner Underground. I like the smaller, more intimate space...brings everyone together. Lots of solid Indy comics and local comics on the rise. Great vibes and plenty of parking nearby. Going to miss this place!

This is one of THE BEST and coolest comedy shops I have ever been to. the comics were authentic, staff friendly - and overall 5 star experience. I will absolutely come back next time I'm in Minneapolis for sure and recommend this place hands down for anyone looking for good comedy in the city and area.

Incredibly tough here. The place over sold tickets, it was full with one seat left open and groups kept coming down looking for places to sit. People were sharing tables that weren't in a group together. It smelt moldy, musky and stuffy. The headliner was amazing though! Had us laughing so much, he made it all worth it! Bartender we had was incredible! Went out of his way to make specialty drinks for me and i highly appreciated that! Great service by our waitress up stairs and the gentleman down stairs made us feel as though we were a burden to him at times.

Some acts are great some acts are there, all the acts are worth seeing or surviving through

Get here early, especially if you plan to see a show. I recommend an hour early, and I'm not even playing. I've seen customers wait 30 minutes after a show has started so that customers can file out and they can take their seats. This place gets busy and for good reason. The comics, whether amateur or not, are so fly that you'll be amazed by their acts and confidence and trash talks. Although these comedians try to be covert in their mockeries, it's quite obvious who their pointing out and you'll be marveling at your own cleverness for figuring it out.

Came here on my 37th birthday and I said something in the audience after the comedian had asked a question and people laughed. I then was called a heckler over the microphone by a red haired female that introduced the next comedian. I have never been so embarrassed in my life. My whole night was ruined. I have been to so many comedy shows and people in the audience participate. It was not an insult. I would never insult a comedian. I left in tears she was so rude I will never come here again. I rarely go out and this place wad a big mistake!
