The Common Good deserves a perfect five stars. I think it's absolutely one of the best restaurants in the metro Denver area, and I've never tried a dish I didn't enjoy.
My favorite meal at The Common Good is breakfast. The vanilla sweet cream pancakes are truly the best pancakes I've ever had: delicious but not excessively sweet, perfectly fluffy, and served with whipped butter, maple syrup, and berries. The omelets are sensational, along with the smashed rosemary potatoes, and even the toast -- everything is made of such fresh, high-quality ingredients. Prices are also surprisingly affordable.
The service has been consistently good and attentive. When we had dinner here recently, our server included adorable miniature bottles of Heinz ketchup when she boxed up our leftover fries for us! (And this is the perfect opportunity to mention how exceptional the pistachio pesto parmesan fries are -- try them!)
The ambiance is gorgeous and elegant, but I've never felt uncomfortable dining in jeans. It's also very peaceful, and rarely busy. The restaurant is located inside of the beautiful Benson Hotel, with free valet parking as well as a $2/hour paid lot located directly across the street.
Whenever I host guests, The Common Good is always where I take them, and, to a one, everybody has loved it!
