"The Common, Annex Koreatown by NORMAN. A bright, spacious and menu-less coffee shop. You have your choice of either dark or medium roast. A nice place to sit and work/read if you can score a seat. Or you can people watch from the chairs in front of the cafe."

A simple shop that makes a decent latte. The decor is rustic and elegant. Old-school country blues plays overhead. The atmosphere is very chill.

Cozy and Simple. Nice staffs. They have various options for dairy. :)

Really great place for a coffee. Many people sitting with laptops drags down the atmosphere of the place which is otherwise bustling and energetic. Coffee was great, with a decent small size Latte in an 8oz cup for $3. The place is simple, with a bit of a rustic feel to it. Some communal seats are welcome, music at a decent volume as well. I'd recommend and visit again for a great example of a simple shop that gets a lot right.

No a lot of seating and all the tables where filled with laptop users. The latte was a little bitter but the regular coffee was almost undrinkable. Not sure why this got so many high ratings. I was expecting a lot better.

A store that's done "simple" right. Nothing fancy, back to the basics of espresso and traditional homemade pastries. Their iced coffee is best in town, and a wonderful spot for reading/studying.

Simply awesome. Great unpretentious service that's fast, cash based, sitting room is much sought after but well worth the wait if you need to work, chill, sit-down and watch the world go by. It helps to get their early so you can snag the fresh baked goods. Their Ice Coffee and coffee in general is kick ass. They have another place further west that captures the same straightforward charm. UPDATE: I just wish they'd do something about the profusion of black little flys. Every time I go there I get a bunch landing on me or buzzing around the food. Its a little thing but its starting to get on my nerves the more I go there.

Top shelf coffee and in a beautiful, rustic space. Ed is a perfect host and a great hot-drink engineer. Easily the best spot for coffee on the Bloor strip.
