Love this place! Performers good, service good food good (portions abit small), atmosphere terrific! Go to their website to see regularly scheduled events (music oriented), including karaoke night! Will be a regular from now on! Highly recommended, especially for locals-strip performers visit often, too.

The Composers Room is full of rich history, and the proof is on the walls. Only 5 minutes off the strip, the establishment is known for local live entertainment, plus the food exceeded my expectations! The vibes are immaculate, and the history just seeps through the walls. Apparently, some pretty big names spent time creating here. 🤔 I wonder if these walls could talk… "What stories would they tell?" Try the "Classic Burger" & " The Club" (The fries were excellent) Tell them Coyal sent you.

Amazing venue and show! Went to see the Jomes Show on Wednesday at 10 it was so much fun! The host is hilarious and the guests were really insightful. As an audience member you get to ask questions so it’s super interactive and the commercials are so funny 😂

Wednesday night (5/28/25) I found myself enjoying The Composers Room inside the historic Commercial Center on Sahara. The Composers Room has a lounge with live entertainment, reasonably priced drinks and a full menu of food. They also have a room dedicated to celebrating famous weddings in Las Vegas and a showroom featuring a variety of acts through the week. During my visit I took in Seth Robichaux and his one man show ‘Til Seth Do Us Part. The show includes Seth, his live band and guest star Jan Jan performing music, comedy and impressions. It’s hard to beat the value of the ticket price, food and drinks for this one-of-a-kind Vegas variety show. Seth has only been in Las Vegas for two years and he has hit the ground running, this month he is featured on the cover of Qvegas Magazine and on June 21st he will be performing at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club as part of the OUTrageous comedy tour in support of Pride Month. #thecomposersroom #composersroomlasvegas #commercialcenterlasvegas #sethrobichaux #janjan #jakegrabner #aaronramsey #tilsethdouspart #qvegasmagazine #qvegas

I attend The Jomes Show here, I absolutely love the set up and unique idea of this show. The host Bob is absolutely amazing, funny, caring, inclusive and provides a safe place for people to share their individual stories. He makes the show so interactive and engages the audience, which is an aded bonus. His humor adds such a unique touch to the show. The servers are great and constantly check in to see if we need anything. All around a great experience! Truly recommend.

The gem of Las Vegas! As a burlesque performer here in Vegas, I end up at different venues. The Composers Room was a new one for me. My troupe, Mobsceneshows had a show there this past Saturday at 11pm. We arrived and found ample parking and it felt safe and was an easy load in. We stepped in the front door and and our jaw dropped. The Composers Room is just beautiful! Our poster was right there in the front entry way! We were shining bright. We were greeted by Tracy and she directed us to one of the amazing show rooms for music while we waited to go on! Tracy took us back to the incredible green room and showed us everything. She gave us the rock star tour and we were elated! It was beautiful. It is decorated with all things Old Vegas! Lights camera action, the stage and lighting were perfect but I have to say.. the overall venue vibe is what you didn't even know you were looking for. Everyone took great care of us and took steps to make sure we looked and sounded spot on! If you are not sure about the Composers Room, you might be interested to know they have brunch shows as well as many amazing performers monthly. Their price points are very nice for a night out. You can dress snazzy, or comfy and feel at home. They also have a wonderful menu which I will be trying and report back. We are truly so greatful to Tracy and the team for creating such a welcoming, lovely experience for the Mobscene Burlesque Troupe and Rocklesque.

The Jomes show was absolutely fantastic last night, first timer here and can’t wait for the next one, never attended anything like it. Might want to share my own story on the show one day! Loved it 🩷 The host is so funny 😂

I would give 10 stars if I could! Pro-tips: They open at 10AM so YES you can go there for lunch! And they have an exhibit on celebrity weddings in Vegas! It's really cool. Definitely worth checking out Atmosphere = have you been to Sardi's in New York City?? It's like that. Artsy, classy, creative "elevated", fun, friendly, sophisticated. Food = OMG. Heaven. I forgot to photograph my EXCELLENT entrée the Truffle Mushroom Ravioli, very creamy and so delicious (oops no photo), but I did get a photo of dessert. Service = top-notch and with a smile! Are you a singer / musician / artist / art-lover / history buff -- then this is the place for you! Romantic enough for a date, chill enough to eat your meal alone, and as I type this there is LIVE MUSIC in the background. A very talented piano player is keeping the mood happy subdued and upbeat! This place is AWESOME. If you are feeling the vibe from this review, go there and check it out!!

Yelp
"The Composer's Room, where musicians & gamblers love to play," is the proclamation on the signage and awning of this establishment in the old Vegas Commercial Center --a mere stone's throw from the recently deactivated New Orlean's Square that housed the excellent Avant Pop Bookstore and less than a hundred steps from La Vecinidad, an extraordinay Loteria themed Mexican restaurant and cantina. The Composers Room is hard to score fairly because so much of this review is grounded in expectation and ultimately falls short because of its (flabbergasting) inclusion on a list of the city's Best Brunches. I'll cut to the chase: it's not, and I can't fathom by what metric this could ever be possible. The brunch in question is part of a show called Punk Rock Brunch, which is a lo-fi production featuring 6 Gen Z dancers (how punk!) one of whom serves as MC and sings. It's at best a Kid's Incorporated version of Punk, but that's no smear on the performers. If this were NOT a brunch show, but just an excuse for day drinking set to (mostly) 90s music --and if it didn't cost $60, it could have been fun. In fact, I really want to see these performers do anything else because this seems like an unfair venue by which to judge them. But it is billed as a brunch, and the brunch SUCKS. An underfunded junior high school cafeteria would be embarrassed to put out such a lackluster spread. And "service" is actually non-existent. Just purchasing admission to the brunch was a hassle that involved having to utilize a QR code and enter credit card info because it didn't accept Paypal nor Venmo nor CashApp nor ApplePay nor any other wallet connected payment plan. And it froze, so I had to go through the process only for it to not function properly. The hostess finally figured out that they could just take payment on a cel-phone via an installed app, which I did. It remains to be seen if my card gets compromised as a result, but this is already an odd start to the second worst brunch experience I've ever had. By now the show seems to be starting as I am led in the dark to a table close to the stage. The hostess plops down one of those numbered table flags and I can see people with dishes and drinks and a couple of servers. But for the next 45 minutes (and as I am visibly trying to flag down a waitress) no drinks, no food, no attention. I got up with my numbered table flag thingy and walked back out to the host desk and inquired of the burly dude who couldn't help me navigate the QR fiasco, "Is there actually brunch?" To which he pointed to an area of five small stations with food plates and dishes. It was slim pickins and there were no eggs. A knock-off Dennys would be bold to charge $15 for it, but I had the last 2 oz of sad looking, crusted together tater tots, similar sausage bites and triangular wedges of toast labeled "montecristo" something or other. This would be inexcusable in the middle of nowhere, but in a food oasis like Las Vegas this is totally unacceptible. There is an argument to made that this was at least partly my fault. Perhaps I should have gotten a full explanation about what this brunch actually was before paying. But is it too much to expect some level of service or explanation? It's in consideration of this possibly being a shared shame (and on behalf of the performers) that I'm giving two stars when one would be arguably more than The Composers Room deserves. My advice is to avoid this place altogether. Eat brunch instead at La Vecinidad --with your own punk rock playlist on headphones.

Yelp
Oh, what a night! Not sure how it is I didn't know about this place before but boy am I glad I know about it now. Let me start by saying this is located inside the Commercial center, which has been around Las Vegas forever! If you're looking for vintage Vegas, this is it... It's easy to find, the parking is upfront and fantastic. If you're a performer, the dressing room is delightful, there are two rooms and you can bring fresh acts to the stage. They have open mic nights, they also have the showroom with plenty of seating and space for a live band and performances of which we were one. The MOBSCENE BURLESQUE showed up on Saturday, February 15 and what a show. It was so much Flippin fun. From the minute you walk in your greeted by Tracy, who is both engaged, enlightened, and enthusiastic She started by providing seating, showing us where to go, and just generally taking care of us. You can tell she cared, it was awesome. When the show started, it was lights, Camera, live band and show stopping Burlesque. Provided by none other than THE MOBSCENE and StazziSaint sin, Goldie and the Playboys, the performers were so fun, there was Madame latte, Stazzi, Saint Sin, The Glam Reaper, Anjelica Dujour, Kolumbia, Bella Brava, Sass Her Ass, and it just went on from there. At the end of the night, Alexander the General Manager showed us around. He showed us the wedding room, which is all vintage Vegas. This place has been around for a long time and there's a lot of history. Check out the photos and the first chance you get make it to The Composers Room, it'll be worth your while and smile!!!

Yelp
I judged a vocal competition that took place in this venue and had a nice meal there afterwards. The wait staff was terrific and the ambience was fun, the acoustic in the showroom was great. And I think I had the best chicken tenders in the world at this place! I would come back when I visit Vegas the next time for sure! highly recommend!

Yelp
The Composers Room is a vibe! If you like a chill environment with great service and food OR fabulous jazz concerts you have found your spot! I randomly stopped in for lunch and ordered the mango habanero wing lunch special. It was such a reasonable price and the wings...Let's just say they're literally finger licking good. Generously sauced, these bad boys are packed with flavor and not too spicy. The bartender, Josh, is someone worth coming in to see as well. Ask him to tell you a joke. ;) So come in for lunch, dinner, or an amazing jazz concert in the showroom. No matter why you come in, you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
This place is awesome! Lots of old Vegas vibes. Their food is fantastic. They highlight a lot of local entertainers. The service is also really good. They have the best pea soup in town and their brussels sprouts are to die for. We recommend this place for a lot of locals and people that love Vegas History.

Yelp
I called, asked what time the band plays to, 10 they said. Music stopped at 9:30. Waste of an uber, you all owe me $10 for wasting my time. Won't go back.

Yelp
This is my first time at The Composers Room. We came to see Rev It Up. It's a great band singing great music. They sing some original songs and songs from the 1970's and 1980's, as well as some newer stuff. The Composers Room is located in the Art District. We were seated in a room with a stage and tables. There's waitstaff to take your food and drink orders. You are able to purchase tickets online before you go and then show your QR code at the door. If you enjoy listening to live music, then this is a great option for you.

Yelp
A full bar and about to add gaming with expanded hours. Non-smoking. We came for lunch with a Groupon. Live music at lunch. Dinner shows. The lunch prices were great, $12-$14 for choices ranging from burgers & pasta to salads. We went for a burger & fries and a pompei (Ceaser) salad. The burger was 1/3 pound, well grilled and nicely seasoned. The sidewinder fries were crispy on the outside, just the way I like them. If you're looking for a place to have a reasonably priced lunch with friendly service and a cool vibe, this is the place. RECOMMENDED

Yelp
Classic show lounge with vintage decor and elegant ambience. Lots of live performances and has a full bar and restaurant too. What an experience!

Yelp
I came here for a united states bartenders guild event in the morning with Golden Eagle Vodka, and everything was wonderful! The service was excellent, they had a full bar, and they brought out some fries, fried artichokes, BLTs, and giant pretzels, all of which were great, but specifically the sandwiches were absolutely delicious. The owner was a lovely man and we had a great conversation, and they have an amazing two venues, one of which is a stage with decent prices and lots of different shows, the other which is fully free and has a great line up of local musicians. I was so pleased I actually brought my partner back a few days later for a drink and we got to experience the live music, which was fantastic. It's a very old school Vegas vibe with an older crowd in sequined blazers and slinky dresses, so it was a super fun Friday night people watching place without the difficulty you experience on the strip with parking and walking forever. I'd definitely suggest checking out their website and seeing the amazing shows they offer, and if you're a local, you absolutely have to go here because it should be a staple in your life. Did I mention my gin and tonic was $5?!?

Yelp
We showed up 20 minutes prior to showtime. The host sat half of my group of four at at table for two at this venue for a show. The other two sat along the wall. Although I notified the host that my friend went to the restroom when another person tried to seat someone at my friend's chair, he sat someone there anyway and said, "This is normally the owner's chair, so he shouldn't have been there." He then moved everyone against the wall. Sad times.

Yelp
The Composers Room recently opened. It was formerly known as the Nevada Room but the owners closed the business. Last night, I decided to go to see Wes Winters, a pianist well known to the people of Las Vegas and elsewhere, and check out the reopened venue now known as the Composers Room and under different ownership. It's in the Sahara Commercial Center, a hodgepodge of businesses. As you enter from Sahara Avenue, the Composers Room is directly in front of you but you need to drive around the curbing to park. The place is divided into two performing areas. One is the Tavern Stage area with a bar, and there is a larger room called the Showlounge Stage. There is a dining menu. I didn't give five stars because when I go the next time, I want to eat there, and I can update my review then. I am so pleased to see the space reopened. I was there several times before. This is the kind of performance space that is critical for our artists and is a pure delight for audiences!! I look forward to being there many times in the future!

Yelp
Decided to try out one of their brunches and were pleasantly surprised. This particular brunch was the "The Boy Band Remix" brunch which was fun and entertaining. We had seen the "The Boy Band Remix" when they did a premier night back at the end of September 2024 which we enyoued so decided to come back a few months later to see the show again and enjoy the brunch. The selection of food items was very good and staff great. There was not an empty table in the house so replemishing to food items too a little time but was understandable due to the number of attendees (the staff definately was working hard and did a great job). The show was very good, and full of great singing, dancing, lights and sound, costumes, and video and visual effects. The show definately evolved into a great productions over the past couple months. We loved the all the song selections from the love ballad to the energetic ones. Thank you for another great show and brunch at a wonderful venue!

Yelp
This is the venue we've all been waiting to take over this space!! The composer's room has taken over a space in the historic OG commercial center (I like to think of commercial center as the new 18B iykyk). The vibe and decor inside is really nice and the staff is wonderful and friendly. My friends and I went on a Monday for Trivia night and had so much fun. They have a great menu and a full bar. The bacon wrapped dates were far superior to those of that one famous vegas tapas restaurant and the salad...omg the salad! I got the house salad with chicken and my expectations were exceeded. There were roasted Brussels on that salad and the chicken was parm crusted. 10/10 for a house salad. The petifours were the perfect little bite for dessert. *I do think the kitchen is still working out some kinks so I'm going to be patient with them as there's lots of potential here, and i really want this business to thrive.* The best part about it was that before and after trivia, the music in the bar was a live piano and singer. I love that they are keeping musicians employed!! I saw they have an extensive list of performers and events that look wonderful. We talked to the owner Damien a little and he was really passionate about keeping commercial center alive and thriving and keeping music and artists working (hes also a total silver fox hello!) This would be a great spot for a date night or a friend hang if you wanted to do something very cool and support local artists and businesses. Every event looked cool to go to and of course the more the merrier for Monday night trivia!

Yelp
I brought my wife to see a show here last night. It was The Aretha Franklin Tribute Show. The 4 singers were amazing and the backing band with a 4 piece horn section was spot on! We had great service and our food was tasty. They were able to put notes in for the kitchen to avoid gluten. It's a great showroom with a good sized stage and lights in the back and a bar area up front with entertainment there as well.

Yelp
This venue screams VEGAS!! It's off-Strip but still super close to everything. Gorgeous interior, friendly crowd, good food, live performances - everything you want and parking is easy!

Yelp
My 5 star review is strictly for the venue and entertainment. My friends and I were here on a Tuesday night and the show was outstanding. $10 cover charge with 1 free drink. Very nice. When you place an order for food and beverages my suggestion is to order everything you'll want because the servers get really busy and never quite make it back to you for a refill or more food. Love that random local entertainers make an appearance to perform. Such a great evening !! Highly recommend.

Tamura K.

Yelp
Great! Ambiance the performances are fanominal. Delicious cocktails and fun crowd. I would definitely come back soon.

Yelp
I've been to shows here twice, and both have been amazing. The small room is incredible to see any band or show. Not a bad seat in the house. Acoustics are great and the staff is extremely friendly. It's like watching a concert in your living room. This place should be booked solid every night for the value. If you like music, check them out often.

Yelp
My wife and I have been to the Composers Room several dozen times over the past few months. We return because of the wonderful entertainment both in the showroom and tavern lounge. And most of it is either free or at a very low cost. The staff know us and we jokingly suggest they set up a cot in the back room so we can spend more time there. Are they perfect? Clearly nobody (but me) is perfect but they try very hard to do what's right. Once in awhile the volume is too high but that is the fault of the performers who like it that way. Most of the time I'm complimenting the guy on the sound board for having such a perfect balance. Do yourself a favor. Go there for either their main showroom or try the tavern lounge. Or do both! We do,.

Grace D.

Yelp
I never expected that I would truly enjoy the music and the performance. Surprisingly, Kelly and her guests did a fantastic job. I was very entertained and loved the whole show. Bubba completed the evening with expectacular entertainment thru singing and dancing! If you're looking for classic vegas show, this is a must to see!

Yelp
I highly recommend this place. The food was good. It's like bar food. The service was OK. The ambience was great and the entertainment was fabulous. I'm planning to go again next week and you can't beat the price.

Aja W.

Yelp
Man oh mercy. Had a pretty disappointing time here. Food is pretty expensive and isn't very good. I waited roughly 10 minutes for pot coffee that was not good and costed 6 dollars. I know they feature some amazing talent. But they need to get their waitstaff and food together.

Yelp

Yelp
Band was great. Food was marginal. Service was good. Ambiance not so great. A little expensive for what you got.

Gwen M.

Yelp
We hadn't come here since it changed owners, and what nice improvements they have made that are noticeable even before you enter. The outside is cleaned up with the entrance door newly painted. The inside decor has been updated with colors that really add to the character of the venue... Very sharp! In addition to coming for the show, we wanted to enjoy dinner. We felt the food was a good value for what we ordered. I had the Brussel Sprouts as an appetizer and they were roasted just the way I like them...blackened with a bit of spice! My husband ordered the split pea soup which he commented was 'okay.' For my meal, I had the mushroom ravioli, which I would definitely order again...so tasty. Husband had the meatloaf, which was far better than many others he's tried. Hope you'll give this place a try. Super easy parking lot, too.

david s.

Yelp
I, too wanted to love this place. But, I was really disappointed in the restaurant end of this operation. The "dining room" is just a few "orphaned" tables in the 1 of 2 bar areas. The menu seemed to hold much promise and the prices were reasonable. But the food was just OK, not great, and being in a loud bar didn't help. The ambiance was ZERO stars. Three of us spent $115 (with tax & tip) The bottom line is that they have likely succeeded as a music venue but leave a lot to be desired as a restaurant.

Regina K.

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place, especially since it's the third attempt at having a club in this location. Sadly, it was a huge disappointment. I'm hoping they just need to get things better organized. Went to see the piano show with Keith Thompson. The show was great but the room was so packed we could hardly breathe. It was so crowded, we couldn't even order food since the waiters couldn't reach us. We decided to head into the lounge area instead at the break. That was an even worse experience. We ordered food thinking we could hear the piano show while eating. However, they closed the door and started blasting music from another performer in front. As for the food, it took forever to get anything and the taste was mediocre at best. We ordered a hamburger with fries. The fries came out but no hamburger. The rest of our order also arrived very late. All in all, a very disappointing experience and strange business model. You'd think the venue would want to make the show area comfortable and easy to order food. Maybe other shows are handled better. In any case, I wouldn't return unless the performer was someone I really wanted to see. So far they seem to be mostly recycling entertainers from the previous two venues in this location so I think it's going to need a little more innovation to survive. I wish them much luck though since I love the concept!

Neil K.

Yelp
The entertainment is very good. The service is inconsistent from excellent to poor. The food too is inconsistent but a few dishes are good when in stock. Drinks are average. The seats are close together with little breathing room. The variety of entertainment is commendable. This place has so much potential and I really hope it all comes together.

Matt R.

Yelp
We went to see the band "80's Thing" and we had a really great time. The place was clean, and the service was more than excellent. Our server was Sarah and words can't describe how awesome she was. The food? Better than anything we had on the strip during our stay. If good food and good music is your thing, highly recommend a visit.

Kawai5001963 ..

Yelp
I was at this fun spot as a performer. Friendly people who were very accommodating to anything we asked for. Nice piano too.

Yelp
It's new so we went with an open mind. The bar is very nice and we enjoyed a drink then proceeded to the show. We ordered dinner and waited and waited. It never came.............

Yelp
Amazing venue and great music! Bring all your classic rock lovers here, I can't stress enough how much these guys love music :)

Yelp
I love to encourage new businesses and Vegas talent.. The location is Commercial Center, which is centrally located. Even though very few business are open after dark, this does not pose a problem as you enter from Sahara, it's right ahead and you can park right in front of the venue with plenty of parking and quite safe. But the problem is inside. I was in the showroom section to see four-piece band and they were close to hundred people, but only two servers, who were running around trying to please the customers and the owners. Few lucky ones got to drink and eat but most of them had to flag down the waiters to get served. Even then, the food came late or never..for few. The ambiance is excellent and good concept with a show room and on a cocktail bar but totally mismanaged. The owners have absolutely no clue how to run a entertainment and dining establishment. If and when properly managed, this venue has great potential. As it is... not worth my time or money.

Yelp
I visited The Composers Room twice during a recent trip to Las Vegas and really enjoyed myself both times. There is plenty of well lit parking right in front. There are three areas--the Tavern which has the bar and a small stage with nightly local entertainment, the Showroom which has a larger stage and also features local acts, and a small family dining area. I sat at the bar both times. The bar is very aesthetically pleasing and the bartender and drinks were outstanding. Food and service were both great--I had a terrific burger and fries the first night, and a delicious marinaded chicken the second. The music was also fun. A guitarist and vocalist were featured the first night, and the second night I saw a solo singer/songwriter. All were very talented local artists. The sound system was amazing! We could clearly hear the performers but it was never too loud to have a conversation. A couple of the managers came over to say hello and see that we were having a pleasant experience. I was so impressed. This place has a great vibe and the potential to become one of the best locals hangouts in all of Vegas. Check it out--you won't be disappointed.
