The Conche Chocolate & Cake Studio

Kathleen and her team did an amazing job for us. She baked an amazing three layer dark chocolate cake with triple chocolate mousse for my daughter’s birthday with a magical unicorn design. This cake was moist, beautifully decorated and gone within seconds of serving. I cannot say enough good things about Conche and their commitment to customer service and high quality design. If you’re looking for someone who understands the intersection between chocolate and baking, then stop searching and run… don’t walk to Kathleen and her amazing team at Conche

Amazing craftsmanship, besides beautiful pieces of art, the chocolates and cakes taste amazing! The enrobed chocolates are a favorite in our household as well as our events. I also recommend their classes, fun and informative! I highly recommend.

Kathleen is an artist. The cake she made for our wedding was beautiful and so many of our guests commented it was the best wedding cake they had ever had. We chose the chocolate and the almond.

The word phenomenal does not begin to describe this experience. PLEASE put those tempura Brussels on the appetizer menu so I can have more.

We worked with Jason who not only made us a beautiful wedding cake, but also an adorable baby Yoda groom's cake. The cake was so delicious! We picked a vanilla cake with raspberry ganache filling and it was full of flavor without being overly sweet. We also ordered “his and her” bonbons for each place setting that paired with our cake. They were a hit with our guests! The Conche is one of my husband and I's favorite restaurants and we were so excited when we learned they also make wedding cakes! Fabulous experience as always!

Kathleen created the most beautiful cake for our wedding and I cannot recommend her enough! It was exactly how we had discussed, and not to mention the flavors were AMAZING! We ended up using a different flavor in each tier because we couldn't decide at the tasting, and our guests raved about how delicious it was. Thank you Kathleen for helping to make our day perfect!

Disclaimer: This review is purely based off of my interactions when trying to book for a birthday party. I am also leaving this review so that others do not have my experience and are not mislead. I was looking around at different options for my daughter's joint 8th and 9th birthday party. Last year we had their party at mocatinas and it was so impressive. I was trying to find something that would be equally as good. I found the Conche chocolate and cake studio and was interested in their party package. I contacted them and even on their Yelp page they advertise pictures of the parties in a private studio. We thought that was really awesome and wanted to do their cake pop making party. At no point during my discussion with their employee did they disclose that this party would not be at their private studio. There were so many chances they had to let me know during our conversations. I finally was given a contract by them and quoted over $800 for the party. We were happy to pay that but during that conversation I realized that it was casually mentioned it would be held in a restaurant. I paused right there and carefully re read everything. I made sure to ask questions and confirmed that not only would the party not be held in their private studio that the owner advertised on this very Yelp page, it would be held at a completely different restaurant. Not even the conche restaurant and no private at all. I think it's incredibly sneaky to charge someone $800 and not give a full disclaimer that this would not be held at the advertised location. Also in my personal opinion it's greedy. I told their employee I cannot justify paying that amount for a children's birthday party held in the corner of a restaurant open to the public. When initially it was advertised as private and even showed pictures. I called them out and said you do know that you have a private studio advertised right? They tried to come up with an alternative solution to put the kids in a "cramped room". While still charging $800 lol. No thank you. We have booked somewhere else. This sort of situation turns me off from even eating at their other restaurant. It's a complete lack of general care. I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else and I really hope people read this review so they are aware that children's birthday parties are held at a random corner of a rest and not the advertised private space on this page.

Not only was this cake one of THE best cakes I have tasted in flavor and quality, but the decoration was perfect. I ordered a chocolate cake with chocolate ganache for my grandmother's 80th birthday celebration and everyone was amazed with it! The chocolate flavor in the cake was nice and deep. The frostings weren't too sweet and were smooth and light. My brother mentioned he wants the chocolate ganache recipe used in between the layers and these might have to be THE cake for future birthdays!! Ordering and working with Kathleen was easy and she used a local florist for the blue orchids on top of the cake. The blue fleur de sel macarons on top were delicious as well! There was a thin layer of chocolate on the bottom to keep the cake attached to the board which was an extra treat in each bite. My grandma said the cake was "amazing" and she doesn't give our compliments lightly!

I've been here twice since they've opened and I've had an assortment of their chocolates as well as their cakes and their chocolate doesn't disappoint. Kathleen was super helpful at describing all of their chocolates and cakes to me as well as suggesting her favorite ones. She also mentioned to me that they do expect to start serving coffee there as well, and have classes you can sign-up for for cakes and chocolates. Their flavored chocolates are different and unique, but hit the flavor profiles so well! Their cakes in display change often so I was able to try a few different things! I highly suggest swinging by and trying their chocolate, I suggest trying their strawberry basil, and banana foster! Those so far are my fave! Their almond tart and strawberry mousse were also amazing!

The most unbelievable chocolate. The most creative uses of chocolate throughout the menu. Great atmosphere with a cheerful, upbeat serving staff. Wow!
