"Terence Conran of Habitat fame is one of the—if not the—most prominent figures in British design, and his legendary shop is just one of his many legacies. His son Jasper is heir to his throne: He's recently overhauled the store's layout, style, and feel. Mixing furniture into realistic and enticing home-like vignettes, the shop is now a source of inspiration as much is it is the place to buy 20th-century design large and small. Along with all the Eames, Saarinens and van der Rohe's—not to mention, Donald Judd's furniture designs, for which Conran has the exclusive—the knick knacks, stationery, and design books are unparalleled, making it hard to walk out empty handed. There is also another location in Chelsea. "

Very great place for home goods like candles, kitchenware, lights. They also have a good section for kids' toys. And inside the shop, there is a nice coffee shop, where you can have very light meals, soup, stews. For people with allergy, you can choose oat milk, soy milk or almond milk for your coffee. They also have some cool flavors late like beetroot or turmeric.

A place for the child in you. Huge assortment of gifts and quirky objects you don’t really need but are still fun to look at and/or gift. From toys to perfumes/candles to home goods and spectacles, they have it all! Theres also an added bonus of a cafe in the corner. The staff are professional allowing you to browse without pressuring you to buy. When they gift wrap, it is done with passion and dedication. Thank you!

Yelp
Me: "I'd like to speak to Mister Conran, please." Sales clerk: "Certainly. May I ask why?" Me: "Yes, I'm here to write that Yelp review and I'll need several pieces of your furniture for, uh, long-term testing." That's the conversation that played in my head because the only way I'll be having any of this super-cool stuff is in my dreams. Conran sells amazingly high quality designer furniture and housewares. While most of it is very functional, some of it is... designer and therefore is very nice to look at but maybe not as functional. On the minus side, the prices are all perfectly displayed.

Yelp
The Conran Shop is the best shop. I love the Conran Shop. Maybe I've got a little infatuation going on but I can't help it. This shop has so many things and it's overwhelming and hilarious and fun at the same time. For example, I bought a little popcorn set for my mom here for 8 pounds, and then I saw those crazy purses here, you know, the ones that look silly and are made up of shiny triangles and you think they look stupid but then when you touch them you start to think you want then? You know those crazy purses? the 500 pound ones? You know those kinds?!?! And then I guess they sell furniture here. But they also sell funny little games, and also these intricately designed santa cookies, and cards and just weird freaking stuff! That's the funny thing about the Conran Shop. It has a lot of fun stuff and maybe something is 8 pounds, or 800 pounds, you just need to check. But the best thing about the Conran Shop is their little cafe in the back. It's decorated beautifully and they serve food as well. I love going there. They've got wifi and it's a great place to escape... also because there aren't usually a ton of people there. So hopefully I've lost everyone with my crazy purse description to read the end of this review. ;)

Yelp
What a nice discovery today as I was walking on Marylebone street! 3 floors of design objects, furniture, audio, etc. Many very original quality items. My kind of store! Too bad I couldn't bring back more in Canada, so many wonderful objects!!! As nice as all little cute stores on Marylebone street.

Yelp
The Conrans are known for their eccentric and always changing style of homeware accessories. With an extensive design studio and research cell, they are not ashamed to admit the inspirations are from all over the world, some as far as Japan. They seem to abide by the learn and observe philosophy. Running business in Architectural design services, Graphics and Product design, Restaurants their wide range of expertise is applausable. The Conran Shop opposite the grounds of the Marylebone Church is flamboyant like the owners and stocked this christmas with the latest and innovative design collection. From mirror frames to furniture to textiles and even light fittings this is a well stocked shop for everyone wanting to refurbish and decorate their homes.

Yelp
The Conran shop is one of those places that's just plain stylish. You could shop blindfolded and come away with lovely things. I'm especially partial to the tableware, toys, and stationary. I think I just named half the store. Furniture tends towards modern classic. Mid century design still features big here. The price tags reflect Conran's reputation for choosing the best of each example. Supposedly, it's stocked with nicely designed product at all price ranges. I have my doubts about the lower end of the price range -- there doesn't seem to be one. I like to look, though.

Yelp
This shop is the kind of place where it is fun to imagine all the amazing possibilities for your flat or future dream house...until you see the prices and remember that these beautiful things are not quite in your price range. Ah well...maybe one day I'll have thousands of pounds to spare!? I saw a gorgeous ceramic teapot for £20 and a fruit basket for £14 that were both affordable...but most things were at least 10x the price of similar items in habitat. I can understand this for most of their items, they look fantastic and are original or clever designs. I was just a little shocked a few examples (there was a paper lampshade IN THE SALE for £576...but it looks almost the same as the habitat version that only costs £3.) We ended up buying a fruit basket (although as my kitten has fallen in love with it, it seems to be more of a kitten basket than a fruit basket so far...) So...despite the lack of affordability, I can't remove a star, because the shop is just so stylish and pleasant to explore.

Yelp
The Conran Shop is located at the top end of Marylebone High Street (equidistant between Baker Street and Bond Street Station) about 5 to 10 minutes walk from each. Yes you can find some stylish stuff and stuff you didn't realise you wanted or lived without in some instances but ultimately I look at what is for sale and I think to myself .....yes its nice and would be good to have...but: 1) do I actually need any of this stuff; and 2) do I really want to pay this price. The price gets me every time...sorry I don't mean to be cheap here. I see the benefit of paying properly for good quality stuff...but I get a lump in my throat every time I pull my wallet out to pay for something from here.

Yelp
Ever so trendy - ever so expensive - ever so tasteful and colourful, Bizarro and mixed up with down to earth useful things like dressing gowns and dustbins - this is The Conran Shop. Definitely worth a visit even if just to browse and try and imagine how you would fit that 12 foot standard lamp in your basement flat. Or, how you could afford the alternative free standing garishly yellow metal shelving unit, salvaged from a 1950's factory (and would it actually go with your M&S wool rug and painstakingly matched John Lewis coffee table?). Three floors to explore, not knowing what little (or very big) delights await as you clamber up the central stairway. Excellent location in Marylebone High Street, converted stables with the Orrery restaurant above - reviewed elsewhere http://www.qype.co.uk/place/108586-The-Orrery-Restaurant-London Excellent - 5 stars plus.

Yelp
I have been to the different stores in NYC, but for whatever reason I love this one. All the cool gadgets you expect, small and large, affordable and expensive. A great place to pick up gifts, whether its music, electronics, stationary, camping goods, and a big kids section.

Yelp
When a designer is featured in The Conran Shop then it is safe to say that they have made it. You will find all areas of home ware covered in this multistory shop, from rugs to jugs, soap dishes to architecture books, sofas to coffee tables. The Conran Shop sits above other high street competitors both in status and in price. Whenever I shop here I find a multitude of things that I wish I could buy, sadly the majority of them I cannot. Although pricey, it is definitely not inaccessibly high end, there are cheaper pieces while even the more pricey products feel justly so. Conran brings you beautiful design from across the world, in a stunning shop, finished to perfection.

Yelp
This is an art gallery in disguise. It's superb and the furniture and odds are ultra chic and would not look out of place in any top city dwelling. Price is something that can throw you off guard but the quality for the one off items are worth it. Jasper Conran and his brood and renown for being at the high end of furnishings and eclectic home wares so it should come as no shock the shop is well placed in Marylebone High St opposite a lovely peaceful church, and even though I have only purchased twice (once a hanging basket and some crockery) I do have a secret little peek inside to see what I am missing out on.
