I wanted to give my mom a bouquet of flowers for a mother's day so I visited the Conservatory Florist. As always, they are very welcoming and always assist customers. I had no idea what kind of flowers and what style to choose but the florist asked me the occasion and how much budget I wanted to spend. Van the florist started walking around and picking different type of flowers and made the prettiest bouquet I have ever seen. The arrangement is elegant and extremely appealing to the eye. A bouquet that was perfect for my mom's beauty and character. Lovely and beautiful! My mother was so happy. Thanks Van! Disclaimer: I did not purchase anything. I am a recipient of a bouquet from this company. A customer was happy with the service I provided and had a beautiful bouquet delivered to me. The bouquet was the absolute most beautiful set of flowers I had ever seen and received! Every single leaf and pedal looked absolutely luscious and divine! I could see slight moisture glistening off the gorgeous, soft, supple pedals. The aroma filling the air was singing a trail to heaven oh my. I am utterly blown away as I have never seen an actual perfect bouquet before. Please note that I have an extremely high standard for bouquets and a very keen eye for detail. Of all my years of living, this is the first bouquet I have seen that received a perfect score. Immaculate.

I recently ordered flowers from Conservatory Florist for my spouse's 40....I mean 25th birthday and she absolutely loved them. Amy is amazing and so friendly. The flower arrangements were breathtaking, perfect for the occasion. And if you're in the "dog house," their apology bouquets work wonders! Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Give them a try.

It's my grandma's birthday and I wanted to order her flowers. The Conservatory Florist showed up on yelp with 5 stars so after looking at their flower selection, I decided to order from them. I ordered the "Artist's Choice". The photos used in the artist's choice depict a good-sized bouquet of flowers. This was also $75 plus shipping. I decided to go with this choice. They were able to deliver the flowers quickly which I was very thankful for, but I was shocked with how small the flowers were. The website definitely makes it seem grander. The flowers are beautiful, but they are not worth a total of $107. I spoke to the owner to which she says other same-priced flowers on their website come in the size. She's missing the fact that I wasnt looking at other flower arrangements/sizes. I was looking at this certain one.

This is the best florist! When I lived in Whitley Heights they often made me custom bouquets to fit my budget. They always went over the top. I appreciated how much the staff loved flowers and paid attention to presentation. I've since moved away. Yesterday I ordered last minute flowers for a friend. Because of the time the order wasn't scheduled to go out that day, but i put in my message a note requesting same-day-delivery if possible, and they delivered. It was top-notch customer service

Had some flowers delivered (as a surprise) to a friend to congratulate her graduation. They turned out beautiful!! Delivery was flawless. When they called my friend to deliver them to her, they made sure to keep it a secret of what it was and who it was from until she received them. Small detail but greatly appreciated!

This is hands down my favorite florist in LA! I've been lucky enough to receive four beautiful bouquets from them throughout the years. I trust them completely to use what's seasonal and beautiful. Flowers are always going to be expensive but here, you truly get what you pay for. You can either waste $100 at 1-800-flowers.com for a sad, smushed, and wilted bouquet...OR you can come here and support a fantastic business that will leave your recipient head over heels over their gorgeous flowers. Your pick!

The lady that made the floral arrangement made such a horrible bouquet that I would find a better one at Vons for less. Horrible! Also customer service is disappointing!!! Paper selection is only brown and black!!!

I'm really disappointed and bummed to write this review. I received a beautiful arrangement a couple years ago from this florist and thought I'd try them this year when choosing flowers for my partner on Valentine's Day. Two photos below of the arrangement I chose. Two photos of the very anemic arrangement that was delivered. I understand the arrangement can't always match exactly depending on availability, but the feel of the arrangement that was delivered couldn't be more different from what I chose. I also don't feel this delivered arrangement is worth what I paid. It looks like it was arranged hastily and without care. Sure, it's the busiest flower day of the year, but the contrast in what was ordered and what was delivered is too strikingly different for me to give them more of my business or recommend them to others. You don't get a do-over on Valentine's Day and this just really fell short of my expectations. The only positive is that the delivery guy was really kind.

It's easy to miss this place or confuse it for something else, as the windows are pretty tinted. One of the cutest little florists I've ever seen to be honest with you, walking inside of there feels like I'm walking into a home decor store. I was greeted by two very kind gentlemen who were able to make my bouquet in less than 5 minutes. I told them I wanted something for my nieces first cheer meet (preferably under $40), and they made the nicest bouquet with white roses and lilies all for $30. They even gave me a little paper to write a card and wrapped it around the bouquet which was the perfect finishing touch. I've definitely found my new florist!

UPDATE.... They were nice enough to call back and offer a free arrangement or to fix the arrangement that I ordered. Very kind and definitely going the extra mile in customer service. $120 for a basketball sized arrangement in an expensive gold vase... I asked for an arrangement that was mostly white with touches of pink and gold. I asked them not to use a lot of greenery sticking out of it or any flowers toxic to cats. The arrangement showed up with cream colored roses, magenta and green Cymbidium's, some blue flowers and some pale pink flowers, greenery sticking out of it everywhere. They basically disregarded 80% of what I asked for. I still have no idea why they disregarded my request without telling me what they could or couldn't do. But their arrangements are pretty and so I'm amending this review to say ... ask for exactly what you want and make it clear that you don't want something else... or turn them loose and let them do their artistry.

My first and last time ordering from The Conservatory Florist. I'm so, so disappointed. I spent $643 on some roses and three small vases of flowers, yet when they arrived today - the three small vases of flowers were in a completely different vase to the one I ordered. They're in a glass vase with grubby string wrapped around it, rather than the glass with wire cage that I ordered. I immediately called and was met with "What do you want me to do about it?". I find that to be terrible customer service and false advertising. I made the order several days ago, they had plenty of time to call me, inform me they didn't have the vases I ordered, and asked if I wanted to choose something else. Instead, they took my $643 and ran with it. I throw a lot of big events and I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. Also, the delivery guy showed up at 1:10pm, when the delivery window was meant to be 2-4pm. It's a good job we were home, otherwise we would've ended up with no flowers at all. Incredibly disappointed. Flowers for my first wedding anniversary party are not what I hoped and paid for.

I have been coming to The Conservatory for years. First when we lived nearby, but we've since moved out near Malibu which meant many changes. But our favorite florist hasn't changed. Many florists can do nice work and go big, but Amy brings an artistic elegance to her floral arrangements that's simply unmatched in my experience. My wife and daughters simply love her aesthetic. If there was a fan club, we would all sign up. Perhaps more importantly, Amy and her team are just a pleasure to deal with. Good people, doing what they love, and earnestly working to ensure they deliver for you. I could not recommend The Conservatory Florist more highly.

Not a place I will return to. Walked in and asked what 75 dollars would get me. Person was workin on a generic arrangement and said "this is 75 dollars" I'm like that looks a little thin, she added 3 more flowers and rang me up quickly. Then this happened 3 days later. Not a good look.

I came back again to get flowers for my boss' birthday. Once again, I am so happy and more than satisfied with my arrangement. Excellent service!! I highly recommend. Plus, they open at 8am which is so helpful because I can stop by before work. Thank you again Marco!!

I am so glad that I found this florist via Yelp. I was looking for a unique congratulatory floral arrangement for some friends of ours and the Conservatory delivered! I was wowed by the stunning floral arrangement pictures on their web site (on their "about us" page) http://theconservatoryflorist.com/about-us.html and on Yelp, and I love their signature black note card with white writing. Steve took my order over the phone and because I ordered late in the day, a same day order and delivery was not possible. He assured me the florist would be going to the flower market the following morning to hand select the flowers for the arrangement. I appreciated that they would not same day rush the delivery but waited until they could deliver what I had requested. The arrangement arrived the next day and our friends thanked us for the beautiful flowers and said they were lovely. Mission accomplished.

I have stopped here to buy beautiful bouquets for Kate more times than I can count, all I do is ask for them to arrange something beautiful and they do it with artistic wonder, class and panache. And I don't even know what the word panache means. I mean truly, I know that it relates to this establishment (don't let the fact that it's in a strip mall deter you, the sushi restaurant in that same strip mall is one of the hidden gems of Los Angeles. The Subway is mediocre and the Starbucks makes you want to take a nap in the oven) because they are a class act and always treat you like a repeat customer even if it's your first time. The flowers are fresh as babies breath, and you don't need rose colored glasses because at this place everything's coming up roses. They also have other flowers that are not in commonly used expressions. The staff is not only friendly but family to me. I'm sure you'll feel the same way after a visit or two. In my opinion the best florists in Los Angeles. -OYG

I think they're mostly meant for delivery. I went into the shop to put together an arrangement for my girlfriend for our anniversary and while they did ask me several times if I needed any help, there wasn't a lot of flowers to choose from at all. Also the store looked like it was in disarray, under construction, or something else.. Unsure. I've read a lot of positive reviews, most of which are from people who have ordered for delivery. I think that is the best idea! The store front isn't quite ready for business but I think it's a work in progress :)

Received Valentine's flowers from my husband from the conservatory. Luuuuvd it. Most amazing arrangement I've received ever!! Not the tacky same arrangement you can see on the internet everywhere. Every arrangement in the shop is so unique and the shop is so beautiful. Has sort of whimsical and enchanting feel to it, like out of a fairy tale. Definitely getting mother's day arrnagements from here.

It's not often that I get to review a place I love and I'm the first to review it. That is probably because this flower shop is tucked away in a very un-assuming corner of a strip mall that people do not want to enter because of the horrendous traffic that usually backs up around Highland and Franklin. As a matter of fact, I do everything I can to get away from that intersection! But, if you happen to be driving in Hollywood and you forgot your girl, mom, dad, sister's.... b-day, anniversary, mother/father's day etc... This is the place to go. They have the freshest flowers and very unique arrangements. They do not use typical flowers but they do have your standards. They have a great range of orchids as well. I have to admit, I'm not the best when it comes to picking out flowers, but EVERY single time I go here or order by phone, they absolutely kill it (that is a good thing). Just let them know who the flowers are for and their relation to you and they will make perfection!

i've been wanting flowers from this florist shop for the longest time and finally today, i got a delivery from them since it was my anniversary! My mixed flower bouquet was wrapped beautifully and the flower arrangements were also gorgeous! I was in love!! So glad my husband surprised me w/ them!!! I have been ordering my flower arrangements from here and they always come out amazingly beautiful. Today I called once they opened and calling from Hawaii 3 hours behind... My call was answered and this gentleman was very helpful and my order was made quickly. I got word that my delivery was sent and my friend loves the arrangement. I'm very happy going to The Conservatory. Great job guys.

I sent them a photo of a floral design, and they matched the photo beautifully! My order was placed on a Thursday, and I picked up on Saturday afternoon. Flowers in general are pretty pricey, but I got a bargain for the amount of flowers I received from the Conservatory. They're located in the same plaza as a Starbucks, and there's usually at least a couple parking spots open. They're also great with emails which made answering my questions and locking the order incredibly easy and convenient. I'm obsessed with the flowers I received and so were all my party guests. I couldn't stop taking pictures of the flowers!

Elegant flower shop in Hollywood, conveniently located by the 101 fwy. The man who helped me with a mixed bouquet for my bf's mom's birthday created something that was interesting and unique. He combined cattails, roses, calla lilies, and a Madonna lily to make a one-of-a-kind bouquet. I told him my price range, what kind of flowers I liked and didn't like, and he just went around the shop putting them together. I knocked off one star because the flower options were pretty limited.

Don't let it throw you that they are located in a strip mall. They are also located next to a high end sushi restaurant within the same plaza. The first thing you notice when you enter is the amazing amount of creativity that is put into this shop. The arrangements are both elegant and unique. I have purchased flowers and plants from here and have never been disappointed. I feel the cost associated with the arrangements is in line with the quality of workmanship, creativity and caliber of flowers you receive. Even if you do not purchase anything from here, it's worth the stop in just to peruse. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable in addition, did I mention the arrangements are amazingly beautiful?

A friend bought flowers from here for my birthday. I told him I love white flowers and pink peonies. He gave them a budget, told them what I want and the most beautiful light pink and white floral arrangement shows up for my birthday! Orchids, pink peonies, gardenias and hydrangeas! I'm so in love with this! UPDATE: These flowers were delivered on 8/18 and lived to see 8/29! I changed the water out ever few days. What a fantastic gift! I would definitely recommend them to anyone considering considering purchasing flowers! :)

Ketaro and Aaron did a great job, taking the various decorations I'd bought at Michael's, Tuesday Morning, and Big Lots (yes, Big Lots) and making my tree look like a million bucks! I seriously spent two weeks researching flower shops and flower delivery within the Los Angeles/Beverly Hills area. It all started when my great-uncle and aunt spoiled me rotten after my college graduation and I knew I wanted to give them something amazing to blow them away. Some John Kelly Chocolates (http://www.yelp.com/biz/john-kelly-chocolates-los-angeles#hrid:ymmk9ugYCTJVlGdBmOC0Gw) solved part A, but I needed another wow factor for part B. Cue the Conservatory. At first I started out by researching flowers online. I was looking for something in the $50-80 dollar range + delivery to Beverly Hills + good reviews + good quality for the price. I noticed that a lot of the typical 1-800-flower sites had good pictures, but not much else, and I didn't want to go that route in general - I wanted to look like I put some thought into it. The Conservatory stood out to me because of their impeccable Yelp record - although there are not many reviews the quality of the reviews stand out (cue words like "beautiful", "amazing", "chic", "stunning" - you get the point!). I also noticed that in several reviews Yelpers mentioned how helpful Van was. The Conservatorys website does not list prices, and I know that some flower shops are more "higher budget" so I emailed Van late one night to see if he could work with a specific price range I had in mind (around $100). He said he would be able to, and informed me of a $50 minimum order, the $20 delivery fee, and that sales tax (8.75%) would also be added but that he would be happy to help me out. With that I was set. I can't afford the $300 bouquets that some other stores offered, and all those crappy pro-flower sites seemed to start around $40 anyways - so I appreciated that the Conservatory not only had competitive prices but that they are a close walk to my work and that I could go in and check out the quality and meet Van the man. So next up it's the trip to the store itself. First of all as you walk up you see how beautiful all the flowers are - secondly they smell amazing. I knew as soon as I saw them this would be a place that I'd want to drop my cash at. At first I spoke to a man who I assumed was Van, but then Van came around the corner and remembered my email, and asked what I had in mind. Pretty much I said "something that says thanks for the champagne, that's around $70 not including delivery, and that old people would like." With that in mind Van immediately showed me a cute arrangement that he could remake for me on the delivery day with Hyacinths, Roses, and other flowers whose names escape me but they sure were pretty. Top that off with a cute little bow, and the availability to deliver them at practically anytime on a Saturday (I chose mid-afternoon) and I got myself one happy great uncle and aunt. Not only did I get an email, but a phone call and a text from a lady who doesn't even text. I can tell that she loves them. So in short . . . : VAN IS AMAZING, THE FLOWERS ARE GREAT QUALITY, ALL OF THE STAFF ARE AMAZING AND EASY TO TALK TO, AND THE CONSERVATORY DEFINITELY DESERVE YOUR BUSINESS BECAUSE THEY DO HIGH QUALITY WORK AT GREAT COMPETITIVE AND BUDGET FRIENDLY PRICES.

I never write bad reviews but I was so disappointed with my flowers. I went in a day early for a really special occasion and had a specific idea of what I was after - I walked around the store with the girl that worked there and pointed out things I liked, and even used photos from their website to show what I was looking for. The flowers I picked up weren't close to what I asked for at all and weren't worth the $197 I paid for them. I think they knew I wasn't happy because they started to try and make changes but they would have needed to start over to make them look like what I had ordered. Super disappointed, especially for such a high price.

This place is awesome, the flower arrangement are stunning! I've only been here a few times and every time Van has taken cared of me. Just went there yesterday for Valentines Day and Van put together some flowers and my wife loved them. I've use to order flowers through the online sites and those flowers don't even come close to what you can get at this place and I don't think I'll ever use one of those online flower sites again after going to this place. If you're looking to impress the women in your life with flowers, give this place a try, she'll love you for it!!

All I can say is thank you Van and the rest of the staff at The Conservatory! Fabulous flowers for my wedding!! The flower arrangements outside for the ceremony as well as the centerpieces for the reception completely exceeded all my expectations :) So now let me back up a bit, I thought I would be a DIY bride for all my arrangements. After paying a visit to the flower mart in dt LA - I realized how crazy I was. So almost a week before my wedding I found Van's shop through yelp! yes thank you all fellow yelpers for helping me select my florist through you. Van, Steve and all the rest of the staff made me feel welcome. The shop is so cute to browse around, and the flowers look unreal! I swear that they were fake so had to keep touching everything to realize it was real. Van put together examples multiple times for me, and was super patient throughout the process! I will never buy flowers anywhere else but here. Not only are they so artistic in their presentation of the flowers but they are so nice as well. They also went out of their way to deliver flowers ON TIME the day of my wedding in Seal Beach. LOVE them!!

Such an amazing and elegant flower shop. You would never know its there because it is a little hidden in a shopping center off of Highland and Franklin. I have lived in Hollywood for 28 years and never knew about this place until a friend referred me. The minute you walk in, your breath is taken away. The way they have decorated the flower shop is amazing!! You can tell right away they are artist and know a lot about flowers! Van is the owner of the shop and he is the sweetest man you will ever meet. He has patience and so much creativity. The other workers Aaron and Marco are awesome too!! They all work so well together and really care to make your event fabulous. They all worked with me to give me the best flowers I can have for my wedding and the best part is that they worked with my budget! I went in not knowing what exactly I wanted but told them my vision and they came up with the most amazing creation! I was so blown away when I saw my flowers the day of my wedding. When the wedding coordinator walked in to my suite with all the bouquets, I just cried! I got so many compliments after the wedding on how beautiful the flowers were! They are truly an amazing flower shop and I am so happy to have found them! Thanks again for designing and using my favorite flowers through out the wedding (Dahlias)!
