UPDATE: Sitting where we were looking outside at the pitch black did not add to the vibe or ambience in any way and we do plan on being back in the springtime during the day to experience The Continental once again END UPDATE: Service was pretty good, server was gone for a while once, probably break time.. Atmosphere is well, not much of it I suppose, kinda boring. Would be nice if they lit up the outside area some more so there's some kind of view after 5 p.m. in the winter. Noticed the table was sticky right away and can't stand that, their is enough money flowing through this place that we shouldn't have our sleeves sticking to the table, they can afford to have them refinished. Crumbs on our table and sticky spray on the menu was gross also. Short rib carbonara was just ok, needed more flavor was really bland. Thought since it was pasta it would be filling as I had an appetite, would have been if I felt like eating more. The sweet potato fries on the other hand were the best I have ever had. Pear and pomegranate salad was fantastic also. The roasted pear and beet buratta was an excellent choice for an appetizer. Didn't have any problems with our reservation when we arrived. Oh and the old fashioned is here pretty much perfect also, and the hot ginger toddy was amazing and just what was needed on a super cold date night.

I have eaten here 2x now, once for dinner and once for brunch. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience each time. The dining room is beautiful. My food has been well cooked and plated beautifully. The portions are surprisingly generous. The drink menu is extensive and has great seasonal options, plus yummy mocktails selection. Brittany is now our go to server, she is just lovely. She has a warm, vibrant personality and is so attentive. My husband and I, both look forward to continue eating here in the future and hope to have Brittany as our server every time!

Google
Thanks to Courtney for getting us a special order of sweet potato fries! Very disappointed to see these are no longer available. We come for brunch every three weeks with our 99 year old aunt. She really looks forward to this deliciously light and tasty appetizer with a perfect sauce. Please put them back on the menu!!! Always the perfect experience at The Continental. Keep it up.

Google
I had a wonderful dinner at The Continental at the beautiful Ford House. The salads are huge and flavorful, and my entree of salmon with risotto was delicious. I felt their squash soup wasn’t thick enough, but it was still tasty. Their signature butter cake is like a very sweet blondie rather than a cake, if that’s your cup of tea. I’ll definitely be coming again!

Google
The staff was kind and the place is beautiful. However, although they do have a kid menu, not sure I’d proclaim it kid friendly. Food was pretty tasty, but some plates were small for the price. The house salad was definitely the most impressive, but you can skip the pot pie. Certainly convenient for a visit, but if you have kids burnt out from walking around a museum all day, it’s not an ideal spot.

Google
They have a Monte Christo sandwhich. It was delicious. It says French toast is used for the bread buy I'd describe it more as bread with powdered sugar

Amanda Nguyen

Google
The atmosphere superceded the food. Beautiful estate and classy/relaxed vibe. The popovers were over baked, too airy and flavorless. The short rib carbonara was bland with a very small amount of meat. The butter cake was phenomenal. Service was mediocre.

Google
This was my first time dining and it is a very nice option for lunch, brunch(Sunday’s only), or dinner, and the ambiance is beautiful. If you are a member, you receive 20% off your food bill every visit. All I can say is, try the pop-overs and thank me later!! The mango raspberry mimosa was a nice cocktail and the grilled cheese was very good with a caramelized onion jam which was very tasty, along with the zucchini fries! My friend had the monte cristo and said it was very good! For dessert, we tried the crème brûlée and butter cake. Both were delicious! Natalie was our server who is kind and attentive. I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes!

Yelp
Delightful food that includes the traditional Maurice Salad from the old Hudson restaurant. Service is generally really good, but on busy days some wait staff seem stressed and customers experience brusque behavior ( not cool). Ambiance is classy, tasteful with views of the water. Beautiful!

Robin H.

Yelp
Popovers to start were a fun and delicious treat! Three of us had the Maurice salad which was good, unique, a true local favorite. The fourth had a burger which looked good. Waitress was great, kept the soda refills coming. Nice decor and beautiful grounds. We toured the grounds and Edsel and Eleanor House while we were there which were spectacular!

Dana A.

Yelp
Consistency is the theme at The Continental. Food, delicious. Service, impeccable. Drinks, strong. Ambience, chill. The popovers are a must!

Lex G.

Yelp
This place is a great option if you're in the Grosse Pointe area. Service was fast and our server was polite. Food was hot and tasty. They sell alcoholic beverages as well. Raspberry mimosa was phenomenal. Clean & chic atmosphere.

Yelp
Made reservations online for lunch around 11am. Greeted warmly; offered to be sat outside or inside. We opted outside with beautiful weather and overlooking the lake. However, we were assaulted with the awful noise pollution of screaming kids a few tables over. I can tolerate kids being unruly for a minute, but not having a parent attend to them, is too much. What if I started screaming? Right. Not all guests in the restaurant would like it. We had Pot Pie, Calamari, and House Salad. Pictures tell more. Pot Pie was quite disappointing; lacked chicken and loaded with potatoes. Everything else was lovely. It was a bit pricey, but you are paying for ambiance, including screaming kids. Later we walked around the outside, and enjoyed the flora, lake, and history. I am curious if I would return for lunch, but perhaps for dinner. Overall, it was OK.

Yelp
While the service and the surrounding are their normal 5 stars along with their onion soup which ranks up in my top 3, I didn't get my normal Monte Cristo sandwich and tried the grilled chicken sandwich that I had others order over the years I have been coming back. I was told that they did redo some of the items a while back by others who had dined there. The server did say it was very different than other grilled cheese and I should have taken that as a warning. It WAS the Worst grilled cheese sandwich I ever had. After 2 bites, I sent it back. I kept the sweet potato fries. It was taken off my bill. It must have been the fennel stuff in it. That is one of the problems I have heard and experienced here, being trendy just for trendy. Maybe will the 20 and 30 something crowd works, but the older folks that tend to eat here and go to the house, we have been around long enough to have lots of places to compare the food with. We like good food with a history of being good. I will be back, but I will stick to the my regular items.

Mary L.

Yelp
Special place, excellent service, delicious dishes! Always a treat. Walking the grounds after is a wonderful opportunity. Don't miss it.

Christopher C.

Yelp
I think its great. We really love the ambience of the architecture and the beautiful grounds, taking in the view overlooking the lagoon with dinner is a wonderful way to spend an evening with a drink. The turnovers are fantastic, as is the french onion soup. They make a fantastic Paloma cocktail and I really enjoy the Shrimp and Lobster pasta.

Phil B.

Yelp
This has become our favorite place for lunch. The food, service, and experience never fails to be nothing other than top notch. The scenery of the Ford house grounds is beautiful year round, and walking around the estate, takes us back to a time of elegance, culture, and History. Prices I feel are very reasonable considering the quality of the food, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Phil Benedetti GPF

Yelp
Great night at a very beautiful restaurant. The staff was friendly and the decor spectacular. All the food we ordered was well plated and tasted great. This place is very underrated and the reviews do not reflect my experience. Very romantic and stylish.

Kelly S.

Yelp
Went for lunch and had a positive experience. Short rib sandwich was good, ambience was nice and server, Maximus, was attentive. Would recommend.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Was very disappointed w my meal this weekend. We asked the waitress if burgers could be cooked any way other than well done, she said they could, so we proceed w our orders: mine medium-rare, his medium. Both burgers were cooked well-done, mine so much so that the meat was actually tough. I had swapped out the kettle fries for the zucchini fries, which wound up being disgusting. The zucchini is as under cooked, the breading tough and burned. If you want an amazing deep fried zucchini, I highly recommend Maggiano's! Cup of tea was $5, and I was never offered additional water. For that price I want to drink the tea until my water is barely brown. If you visit the Edsel Ford House, eat before or after your visit.

Nicole E.

Yelp
I spoke with Jessica at around 12PM today. She said they couldn't take any more reservations for today. She suggested that we could walk-in if we coke in before 5PM today. James was at the hostess stand when we walked up. The place was half empty. He said they are under staff and wouldn't be able to accommodate us at all. He said the folks seated had reservations. I told him I was told that we couldn't get a reservation when I called today. He said if we had come a half hour earlier they might have been able to accommodate us, isn't that rich. He told us two or three more times that they won't be able to accommodate us at all. The woman at the front reception of the visitor center told us we should have called for a reservation the day before. The front host communication is bad here, not aligned whatsoever.

Stephen C.

Yelp
We went there for lunch a few weeks ago - food & service was good. But when I checked my credit card statement later someone had increased the tip by $5....not cool. When I went back to get it corrected the manager (or who ever she was) said it has never happened before & didn't even bother apologizing for the 'error' or wasting my time.

Angel A.

Yelp
Very good, and the food was amazing! Just remember to make a reservation I be there 15 minutes early.

Anchovies A.

Yelp
I was very ecstatic to come to the continental for the food and the experience. However, I was beyond dissatisfied with their food and cleanliness the food felt microwaved and the table were very unsanitary and sticky. The staff was nice and friendly though and the dessert was good too. I would describe the continental a more dessert place then going out to dinner.I would not spend your money here on dinner because it is really not worth it.

Caitlin S.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch with a couple friends. The food was incredible we split the French toast - phenomenal! I got The monte cristo sandwich it was very good and came with a great fruit side of kiwi, pineapple and melons. The chicken pot pie was also delicious. Very reasonably priced. Also go mimosas they offer a bunch of different juices; mango, pomegranate strawberry raspberry and others I can't remember for $8 each.

Yelp
I wanted to give a shoutout to one of your staff members, I believe her name tag said Khi. I came in today and expressed to her that I had had a long day, and after chatting for a bit she gave me my drink on the house. What she didn't know is that today is my late dad's birthday, and I was there to take a nature walk in his honor as he was an avid outdoorsman. Being a teacher, I hadn't had time all day to think and was teary eyed by the time I approached the Speedster counter. Her gesture made my whole week better, and the kindness in her heart gave me a little more faith in humanity. The property is gorgeous, but it's the people who make this community so special. It really is the little things. Just wanted to say thank you, from the bottom of my heart! (Please don't get Khi in trouble for giving out a free drink--it's good hospitality!! And I'm sorry if I read your name tag wrong!!)

Yelp
Tried the Continental at the Ford House for my birthday. The building is new and beautiful, and has its own parking lot on the estate which was convenient. We made a reservation, and were seated right away. We decided we would order the popovers for an appetizer. They were amazing! I would definitely order them again. I also ordered the soup of the day. It was a parsnip apple soup with fried shaved Brussels sprouts on top, and I did not care for it at all. It was a weird blend of sweet and savory but not in a good way. My dinner came with a salad, which was delicious; the garlic dressing was the highlight. The entree for me was the Cider brined chicken. The chicken itself, and the sauce that was on was delicious, as were the mashed potatoes that were with it. The succotash was only ok. I felt like some of the items in it were overdone and some were underdone. Overall though it was a good entree. My date ordered prawn and lobster Alfredo, which looked really good. The prawns were huge and cooked nicely. The sauce was good, and overall he enjoyed it. For dessert we ordered the bread pudding and it was absolutely delicious. The sauces were great, and the ice cream was super creamy and delicious which complemented it nicely. Lastly, the service was very good. Our server was very, very nice. She was attentive without being overly so. She was also cheerful, and able to answer any questions we had. The manager (or someone similar) also stopped by the table to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Overall, I would return to try other items.

Robin S.

Yelp
Food amazing service excellent and a view. Couldn't get any better . Highly recommend

Yelp
Stepping into The Continental at Ford House, I was instantly transported to a realm of culinary enchantment. Nestled within the grounds of the historical Edsel Ford House, this dining gem merges timeless elegance with a contemporary dining experience, promising an unforgettable journey for food enthusiasts like myself. The refined ambiance of The Continental set the perfect tone for the evening ahead. Soft, dimmed lighting accentuated the sophisticated decor, creating an intimate and refined space that oozed charm and comfort. The attention to detail in every element, from the fine table settings to the tasteful artwork adorning the walls, spoke volumes about the care and passion that goes into every aspect of this establishment. We were originally supposed to be seated outside, but due to health issues, I cannot be in direct sunlight for long periods of time. The hottest (who was dressed absolutely adorably) was so kind and gracious to move our table inside in the blessed AC! Very much appreciate the accommodations. The menu at The Continental reflects a celebration of world cuisine, offering a tempting selection of both classic and innovative dishes. As I perused the menu, I found myself torn between the diverse array of culinary wonders that beckoned. Thanks to the helpful guidance of our attentive server, Bobbie, my companions and I embarked on a culinary odyssey with our selections. Our gastronomic journey began with an assortment of appetizers that instantly captivated our senses. The crispy zucchini fries were fantastic and we enjoyed the popovers immensely! We each ordered a salad, as it was a HOT day and also lunch time. After an invigorating tour of the Edsel Ford house and the grounds, we very much enjoyed sitting and enjoying wonderful food with wonderful friends and relaxing. In conclusion, The Continental at Ford House stands as a testament to culinary excellence and a haven for those seeking a memorable dining affair. From the first bite to the last, every dish spoke volumes about the chef's artistry and dedication to their craft. The seamless blend of elegant ambiance, delectable flavors, and impeccable service makes The Continental a destination worth savoring time and time again. For those eager to embark on a journey where flavors take flight, The Continental at Ford House awaits with open arms.

Yelp
One of the places you must visit when in area. Located on the Edsel Ford estate. Restaurant has beautiful view of the lake with indoor and outdoor seating. Popovers are served with butter to start. Not just average bread it's a must try. Highly recommend the charcuterie board for an appetizer. The figs were phenomenal. For dinner had the warm goat cheese salad with arugula which was amazing.

Amy L.

Yelp
A lovely restaurant, but there was some kind of snafu with our reservation that seemed to fluster the young staff. Once we were seated, things were fine. Food was tasty -- I loved the huge fluffy popovers. The smoked trout pate was a pleasant discovery as well, but the French onion soup --- just ok. For native Detroiters, they serve the original Maurice salad made popular at a long-gone downtown department store. A nice way to dine if you're here for a tour of the Ford House.

Tara R.

Yelp
I don't think this place deserves only three and a half stars. The dining room is beautiful and so was the lighting. The food was great. We've never been here before but we went to dinner with our fiends and wanted to try something new. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. 5 stars from me.

Sarah M.

Yelp
I'm giving the restaurant 3 stars, as the atmosphere and food are always beautiful and good! We are regulars in the sense we are there every few weeks, usually bringing friends. Often times, we dine at lunchtime. The last 2 times we've been in, we have experienced the rudest waitress. Unfortunately, I'm not sure of her name. Short, blonde, reading glasses, appears in her 50's. We don't drink at lunch, and this has gotten us an attitude both times. Also, our waters, even when asking, were not refilled. I usually order a salad and my husband always changes! He loves the pot pie, and the short rib sandwich. It seemed both times that our order actually annoyed her. I'm struggling with the idea of continuing to go there. I don't love confrontation, so I don't know if I'll be comfortable walking in and saying I don't want a particular server. I like the other servers very much, but running into this twice now, rudeness, inattentive service, and actually feeling bad, I'm apprehensive to return. I understand people have bad days, so I didn't write a review the first time. However, enough is enough. Hopefully the management can do something if they are aware!

Yelp
Beautiful restaurant, mediocre food and service. Too bad, what a waste of a great facility

Danielle M.

Yelp
Had a reservation for 2 at 1145am for Sunday brunch. We arrived early to look around. The new building is beautiful. There's a relaxing atmosphere and on a beautiful day, with lots of people walking the property. We were seated a few minutes early, and when the server came to take drink orders, we were also ready to order food. So we ordered 2 omelettes around approximately 11:50. Our waiter came to let us know it should only be a few more minutes at 12:25pm, and our food did not arrive until 12:42pm. Not only was it nearly an hour for eggs and some potatoes, the food was very bland. The property is beautiful, but likely will not return for the restaurant.

Scott H.

Yelp
We visited The Continental for Easter Saturday dinner. First of all, reserving a table was a much easier and accommodating experience than before, and the hosts were very nice. Our server, Christina, was great. All our drinks and food arrived in a timely manner. The food was delicious. I had the cider brined chicken. Fantastic - tender, juicy and great flavor. The cocktails and desserts were really tasty too. My last review from 2021 was a 3, but my first experience in 2022 was a 5. I'll definitely return sooner than later.

Jana E.

Yelp
It is with regret that I write this review. The Ford House has always been a special place for my parents and I made a reservation on Sunday, August 21. The only reservation that I could find was at 2:30. We arrived at 2:30 and were promptly seated; however, the waitress did not arrive for more than 10 minutes. She took our drink order and when she returned, we attempted to order popovers as an appetizer. She said that they were out of popovers. I asked her if they were temporarily out - or out for the day? She said that she was not sure but said that the kitchen closes at 3:00. (What?) I asked her why they would offer a 2:30 reservation if the kitchen closes at 3:00 pm. She had no response but offered to check on the popovers. We then tried to order another entree and she also advised us that this was also unavailable. She took our order after 3:00 and we did not receive our food until 3:40. During that time, she only returned once to see if we needed anything, including refills or water. The waitress was completely disinterested. That said, our waitress appeared to be the exception; every other waiter and waitress seemed to be *very* attentive and frequently checked in with the customers. After she brought our food, she disappeared and never checked in again except to bring the bill - without showing it to me - and then asked for my credit card. The restaurant is beautiful and the other diners were fortunate to have attentive wait staff. However, this could not have been a more disappointing experience. The food was an afterthought, at best, and there seems to be no focus on customer service. Based on this experience, we would not recommend the Continental until they revisit their approach to the restaurant experience.

Caroline L.

Yelp
The views were great for Grosse Point but the food was not jaw dropping. I felt like it was microwaved but was probably the best you can get in Grosse point

Jaclyn W.

Yelp
Went to Continental this dreary winters day. Had heard some pretty good comments recently and my husband and I wanted to experience the talk. Not by any means would I be able to say anything negative regarding its entirety! From the minute you walk in you have a sense of welcome thru the Welcoming Centers doors. Staff cordial & professional from start. Reservation for 2, seated right away. Great views from any seat but we were fortunate to be given the Patio. Nice little fresh flower in vase accompanied by what looked to be a dill. Perfect. Waitstaff at our table within a minute! Clean clear spoken and able to answer questions regarding menu. The menu is easily read and combination of ingredients per each item starts your mouth watering right away. I watched as plates were brought to tables near us. Presentations were simply beautiful. Aptzr: Started with a nice plate using a 'real' ball of mozzarella; soft and simple. Garnished with a freshly made pesto, small bits of lightly cooked squash little shards of fresh fennel simple little seeds of presented with a good cracker. Soups: I had the French onion (wonderful) & my spouse had the minestrone (broth clean and very tasty). Ample portions. Main: I had the salmon pat slider's (2 freshly made with an ever so slight hint of spice) garnished nicely on Hawaiian rolls. Accompanied by choice of real fries whether potato or sweet, or house chips; I took sweet. Came with a nice little dipping sauce. Hubby had their Chick pot pie. Real pastry dough, delicate and buttery flavor. Baked in soup bowl with good portions of Real veggies, subtle gravy and chicken. Ppl I use the term 'Real' here often as, sorry to say, some places just make the dish, others such as here , Create the dish! And they've done it well!!! High compliments to Chef Sheldon. You and your staff have done an incredible job! Will be back as there are so many things, including dinner menu, we can't wait to experience. Much more Success forward sir.

Andrea M.

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience with my husband for his 40th. Food was incredible. Service top notch. It was clean and beautiful. Definitely recommend. I will add that I made sure to get a reservation as I know the service industry is struggling to find staff right now. Looking through the negative reviews here I can only imagine that these are entitled people who don't like to plan ahead or be told no. Not the staffs fault.

Corinne A.

Yelp
This place purports to be peanut free. Not true. A charcuterie board with peanuts on it?? Seriously? Serving a 18 dollar charcuterie where peanuts are the main event is bad enough without potentially causing a death. If you like food that comes from a factory, microwaved and offered as something it not, save yourself some money and go to McDonald's. They have better French fries anyway

Mary Anne P.

Yelp
Menu very diverse, and beautiful presentation. Servers were first class. The ambiance is truly worth the reason for trying it since they remodeled. I think it's far more attractive, and without the acoustical feedback like the first dining room had. I love that you can wait outside, or sit and eat outside on high tops. Very attractive. The general manager even came by to see if everything was suitable to our needs. Will be back!

Celeste B.

Yelp
Visiting the Ford property is always a special treat, and this was no exception. Beautiful ambiance for dinner with stunning views of the property. The menu was creative and fresh and displayed a variance of choices for all kinds of eaters. The staff was helpful and friendly! We all really enjoyed our foods, the staff was accommodating and made adjustments to the dinner orders when people didn't prefer specific foods (example, swapping Gouda cheese for mozzarella on the French onion soup). The dessert was underwhelming in flavor, but beautifully presented. Recommend for a fancy night out or celebrating a special occasion!

Leah M.

Yelp
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with the host on a Friday evening. When we arrived we asked if we could take a short walk around the property before being seated (mostly to get our 4 month old to fall asleep), but the host very condescendingly told us we could only be seated at that very moment. When I asked if we could gamble and risk a table not being available after our walk, he was incredibly rude and suggested we would not be permitted back in. I was disappointed he didn't simply say we were welcome to take a walk and see if something might be available when we came back, knowing we might be risking anything being available, but he kept repeating what he had said previously. It was a really disappointing experience because we love the Ford house, but the host staff at the Continental has always seemed to be a bit rude and condescending. The food was fine, but not phenomenal. I'd recommend getting something to go and enjoying the beautiful grounds at the Ford House instead of eating here.

Elisa C.

Yelp
Beautiful background, strong menu for the expected customers, but just bad!!! From horrible service to mediocre ingredients. The house salad had romaine lettuce that was brown on the edges, two grape tomatoes and croutons. I ordered the perch, which was decent, but the string beans were raw (and I like them crispy - but they weren't even cooked ) and the rice was burnt. The creme brûlée tasted like a Costco dozen dessert. So Disappointed !!

Lindsay D.

Yelp
We made a reservation way in advance (a few weeks) and we were NOT let down! It felt like a 5 star experience and the food was BETTER than expected. Such a pretty restaurant and a chill vibe. Food, drinks, and ambiance were perfect for a date night w the husband

Dallas K.

Yelp
Let's talk about it. As much as we tried to love this place, we just couldn't. For starters, the Pop overs were airy, but tasteless. The zucchini fries were too thick/big, nothing like french fries. Not what we expected. Lastly, the crabcakes were a nonstarter. If you are from the DMV, you'll know what I mean when I say the breading in the cakes was too thick. We were going to get entrées but honestly we just decided to stop here. The service was outstanding but that's as far as we can go. If weather permits, sit outside. The view is lovely. We hope your experience is better than ours.

Heather W.

Yelp
I don't know how this place wasn't rated higher. It's a little pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for. The ambience is fabulous, service was awesome, food was amazing! 3 of us had the beef tenderloin with mushroom risotto, they let a couple of us sub broccoli I for the Brussels and I couldn't have had a better meal. One of us had the salmon dish and it was on point, everything perfectly cooked and seasoned. Popovers are a treat, you have to try! Desserts of course had to be so I had creme brûlée and the rest had the butter cake, all delicious. Long story short- perfect for a beautiful upscale meal experience, with great attentive service. Just try it! Ps- sorry no pics I was enjoying the experience too much :)

Marybeth B.

Yelp
Was there in the first week of October. Excited to see the renovations, the new visitors center is lovely! Hostess was sooooo rude, asking if we had a reservation. I get it if you are short staffed, but that was not her explanation. Hostesses, ( I HOPE she was not the Manager) are supposed to be warm and welcoming. This gal needs some work! I have not been to this place for many years as I now live out of state. To have made it a destination on my short vacation, was disapointing. She said PERHAPS there would be seating after 3pm. We didnt stay to check. Sorry if this is the best you can do-

Karen R.

Yelp
Handicap parking is quite a long walk to restaurant. Very nice facility. Creative food options. Went for Lunch - price on the high side. Got crowded and loud pretty fast. Had the perch (4 pieces) was good.

M D.

Yelp
Great food, service, and atmosphere! I had Sunday brunch here and sat outside. The menu is definitely more lunch geared which was slightly disappointing but I ordered the black bean burger which was to die for! I loved the pineapple relish and zucchini fries that came with. Our waitress gave us a free popover when we inquired about what they were and they were a cross between French toast and a croissant, so yummy and sweet of her! For two people and one alcoholic drink we spent about $45 which was not bad! The outdoor seating was great and the indoor was beautiful too, completely renovated. Reservations are a must.

Alan R.

Yelp
We booked a dinner reservation with our Daughter and Son in Law as soon as possible for us after learning that the Continental was open ( probably 3+ weeks ago), The view of the lagoon is nice, but if the lake view had been fully taken advantage of it could have been PHENOMENAL! The facility is new and very nice. If the weather is right, sitting outside could be great. Our server was awesome; friendly, attentive, pleasant and truly dedicated to assuring we had a great experience. To a person we enjoyed our food, but for certain, next visit I'm having Pasta and Meatballs. Next table had it; it looked , smelled and by their reaction was delicious. Had cobbler for desert. Be sure not to miss that. Never had to ask for more iced tea or anyone else's drink refill. You have to love that. A special venue, a special evening. I'm sure once the "new" gets worked out, you'll fight for a reservation.

Yelp
Very nice ambiance and view, but the food was underwhelming. Feels like cafeteria food being served in a fine dining environment with fine dining prices. Neither myself or my husband particularly loved our meals, and the popovers they served seemed like they may have been old, as they were kind of cold and stale. The high point of our meal was the coffee. It was delicious, and so was the cappuccino. I would return if only to get drinks on the patio.

Yelp
Food was bland. Extremely. From the lamb chops all the way down to the chicken tenders. Cool atmosphere though.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this restaurant gets a huge thumbs down. The food was absolutely awful, bland cafeteria food....devoid of any flavor. I ordered soup (a vegetarian chowder), tasted like warm water with corn in it. The charcuterie board looked like someone put it together in the dark; odd selections of cheese, the meat on the board was tasteless as well. My husband ordered lamb chops, again bland and just passably edible. Oh, also creepy music (some of which) reminded me of music funeral homes use. Yikes.

Yelp
Beautiful venue. Food was fine - basic and nothing exceptional or memorable. Air conditioning makes it uncomfortably cold. Staff very friendly.

Yelp
I was very excited to go here thinking it has got to be very good because it is at the Ford Estate. Well, I was wrong. The place was not busy at all, they sat us right at the entrance in the draft from the doors. Our waitress only had 2 tables yet she did not give us even mediocre service. It took a very long time to get drinks, apps, main course, and dessert. Do not order the tomato soup unless you are prepared to eat spaghetti sauce, it was really bad. I also ordered the Sautéed Duroc Pork GF | $32 with Amaretto Maple Glaze. Now by the description you would think this was pork roast, well it was a pork chop. It was dry and flavorless, though the broccoli was the best I've ever had, probably because it contained all the glaze that the chop was missing. For dessert I ordered the butter cake, big mistake. I was served a corner piece that was so hard on the edges it was inedible. The only decent thing I tasted there, besides the broccoli, was the smoke white fish pate, it was good and a nice sized serving. All in all, for the money, I would avoid this place. Friday night, very few customers, and shoddy service mixed with cold, flavorless food is not the night I want to have again.
