"It’s impossible to say how many litres of paint this gloriously OTT bar went through to achieve its coral-first aesthetic, but we appreciate The Bloomsbury Hotel’s commitment to colour-blocking. By day, the room plays host to finger sandwiches and raised pinkies for afternoon tea, then steadily fills with thirsty champs enthusiasts come evening. "Stop scrolling through Groupon because whatever 20% off deal you find there, the afternoon tea at The Coral Room, a high-ceilinged, artwork-filled room in a Bloomsbury hotel, is better. It’s not cheap, but it’s incredible value for the £55 you spend per person. It involves little egg mayonnaise brioche buns, a pistachio opera cake, and faultless service. You can order as many refills of tea as you’d like, and if you request it ahead of time, they can cater to any dietary requirements.
