The Best Brazilian Restaurants and Food in Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"As its name implies, this restaurant is best known for corn-based Brazilian food. While diners can still find other staples like coxinha and pastel, açai smoothies, and maracujá, get the specialty at the Corn House: pamonha. This dish is made with freshly grated sweet corn and is wrapped in a corn husk. It’s particularly popular during the Brazilian festival, Festa Junina, which celebrates Brazil’s corn harvest. While traditionally eaten sweet, there’s also a savory version called pamonha salgada at the Corn House. End a meal here with an equally popular dessert, the curau or corn pudding." - Kris Martins

Me and my family have been clients of this place for a very long time. Authentic Brazilian food and usually everything tastes good. Today I placed an order over the phone for pick up for two traditional Brazilian pastries, coxinha and enroladinho de salsicha. Didn’t check the takeout box at pick up and when I got home and opened it I saw this. The corndog (enroladinho de salsicha) was the most over burnt, ugly pastrie I’ve ever saw. Tasted terrible, soaking in oil and burnt to a crisp. Looked and tasted awful so I’m wondering how did someone looked at this and thought it was ok to sell it and not immediately trash it. Very disappointed. Aaaand my second option of Salgado was wrong so 🤷🏻‍♀️ just a 0 out of a 10 today.

I visited this place just because i found it in google maps one day that i was around the area, and i didn't know what eat that midday, my experience was so-so, bc at the beginning i didn't understand big part of the menu bc was in Portuguese, before went there i didn't know that was a brazilian place, anyway i saw the menu and i ordered some plates separated (don't do that never, always tried combo or all you can eat bc the single plates are super expensive, plates $8-$10 each and sides too and drinks $5-$8 if you order natural juices) in conclusion i ordered so much food and expensive at the final i didn't like the burger bc was like with 6 or 8 different ingredients too much for me, but the fries and the mango natural juice was astonishing. Also i bought a ice-cream was nice but no the way that i recieved one, was a little embarrassing bc my native language is Spanish and i was talking in english bc i don't speak Portuguese and i don't understand at all so the cashier that day make a sarcastic joke with the another cashier like "huh, he speak in english" bc i looks latin, was super umconfy but anyway the another cashier treat me super good in english and I could pay my ice-cream

The buffet option has lots of choices if a bit steep, so get your fill! Staff is very friendly and the food is tasty.

Google
Great authentic Brazilian food with lots of flavor, but what put it over the top was the amazing hospitality & service straight from the owner. He was warm and inviting the moment you walk in, all the way until you leave.

Google
First time. We have been wanting to try this place out for a while now. We were not disappointed. The Steak Burger was great! The chicken Coxinha was amazing! We also got a Brazilian steak platter that was very good. I highly recommend the sandwiches and pastries!

OMG, I found this place by chance, and it's awesome! The girl on the register was super nice and she gave me completely comprehensive answers to all my questions. And I have ordered some pastries to go. They have baked steak pastry especially for me, and it was hot and I took it to my car... This is Brazilian place, and I am from Eastern Europe, but it was a real taste from my childhood!!! I didn't know how, but it was a real celebration! I wish I could come to their buffet, but 6-10 is soooooooo early for me))) But I still going to come back sometimes for lunch or dinner... and pastries! BTW, it's another one on picture. I have ate steak pastry on my car in the dark)))))

I bought a random assortment of fried foods and I was so pleased. The food was delicious and the service was fast.

Yelp
Sunday Buffet of home style Brazilian food. Fresh, well seasoned and delicious. Simple ambience, clean and the staff is friendly. They have fresh squeezed orange juice which is my favorite drink besides limonada suíça.

Yelp
Yummy! Fantastic, tasty Brazilian cafe and grocery store tucked in a strip mall across from the library. Perfect for takeout and hungry baseball teams! Have not had anything from The Corn House that was not outstanding! treat yourself to the plantains!!

Yelp

Yelp
This place surprised me,with fresh authentic Brazilian food. The flat sirloin steak was tender. They put a generous amount of pinto beans under the rice,(was a nice surprise) I love trying and supporting local owned businesses and I recommend the corn house!

Yelp
I dropped in to this spot after a purchased Chinese Food next door. The attendant was nice. I had to wait for about 15 minutes for my Passion Fruit Juice. That was all I ordered. The place has ample seating and parking in the shopping center lot. They are also a bakery and a butcher. My juice was good.

Yelp
Love this place. Only been here during covid times and I assume the buffet is great when they can do it. The food is good. The drink selection is great. The desserts are great. It is clean and neat. The cashier is super sweet (at least the one I had). It is pretty dead in here though as I assume that is also due to covid. It is a tad on the pricey side or I would have given 4 stars.

Yelp
The steak dish that comes with rice and some weird beans is simply horrible. Asked for Well Done, guess what I got? Yes, not cooked, pink meat and had the blood smell in it. As I opened my dish, didn't notice it and cut me a small piece of the steak, so I started tasting raw beef, had swallowed some already and spitted the rest. Too bad for me that small piece was enough to make me sick for almost 2 days!! What is wrong with this people that think they can serve any rubbish and call it food! Looks to me this part of the country doesn't have a Food and Safety department, otherwise a lot of places like this will be shut down for good.

Yelp
Cute environment. The place has a traditional corn establishment feel that you'd find in Brazil. The environment is bright with drawings and TVs. The location itself is behind another building so it makes it fairly hidden. Service was sub-part and the staff seemed lost and awkward. You walk up and have to go to the cashier to place your order then take a number and sit down somewhere. Food came out and it didn't remind me of a traditional pamonha. The flavor is ok but the texture is different than it should be. There are scallions in the middle which is off-putting and doesn't belong in the pamonha. It's luke warm and felt warmed and not freshly made, mind you it's grand opening day. The pastel which is a pastry filled with meat and fried was greasy but the filling was tasty. Warning it has olives inside. I'll be back to try more Items And maybe give more stars!

Yelp
Really good the place, kid friendly, and the staff there is super nice I ordered a bacon burger and a passion fruit smoothie tasted really good I would definitely come back

Yelp
The new owner has level up the quality in this place! I'm shocked! The service is awesome and the sandwich is amazing! The food is all fresh and the owner prepares it; lunch there is a good and affordable option. Ademar is the new owner and has been amazing! If you tried before and did not like, give another change. I 100% recommended!

Yelp
This place used to be good, now everything is downhill, food is terrible and service even worse!! Don't waist your money and time going there. Don't recommend, take your business elsewhere.

Yelp
Great late night sandwich ! The sandwiches are huge ! This is pretty close unless you go to Brazil but like they say " when in Marietta " We have had dined in and had pamonha , pretty good not my fave but good . Food is fresh , very nice customer service . Restaurant is nothing super fancy but have a great variety of typical food from the central west ( Goias) in Brazil We ordered uber eats and food arrived hot and yummy Within 20 min . Def recommend the Corn House

Yelp
Nothing special - definitely not a corn house.. just another bellow average Brazilian bakery. I was so excited - spent $30+ and everything was a failure (even the natural juices ). First and last time. I wish these Brazilians bakeries would care for quality, and specialty in the Brazilian culinary!! - instead of mixing all sort of businesses in one place. 1 stars for trying - 4 stars for making me waste money, time and my hopes! - it was a good try! Nice staff though!!!

Yelp
Bad customer service, won't come back here. Food didn't look good ether, it was salty and it wasn't fresh! Definitely don't recommend this place.

Yelp
Horrible experience. I ordered at 1:02 PM. Just a simple cheeseburger; nothing special or custom. I watched two other customers arrive, sit, order, and be served their food, before my order arrived. I asked what's up. 10 minutes later, still no burger. Finally after 32 minutes of waiting after I had placed my order, I asked for a refund and left. Not the right way to treat a customer.

Rebecca D.

Yelp
The service was good, but unfortunately, the last few times I went there were terrible. The food takes forever to be ready, and detail, it was just us waiting. They got it my order wrong twice, after 30 minutes of waiting, I still waited again for the food to go wrong again.

Yelp
Some of the people here are rude. The food is decent. But the açaí and pamonha were not authentic.
google avatar

Isa T.

Yelp
The pamonha was dry, not authentic, and the "sausage" was a hot dog. Barely any cheese in the pamonha. Awful. And now my stomach hurts.

Jessica S.

Yelp
I went here for a late lunch and my experience was pleasant! I was attended to right away and the food came out quickly. I got a passionfruit smoothie and a sandwich, and both were really tasty. (Just a heads up - the smoothies are very dairy-heavy). I got the "fit sandwich". The cheese was tasty, the egg was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the vegetables were fresh. My lunch came in at $11, which is nice for a lunch place in Marietta. The atmosphere is cute and cozy, with a soccer game playing on their big screen. They have beautiful paintings on the walls, and a play area for kids. I would recommend it to anyone, and I will definitely go back for lunch.

Jonathan D.

Yelp
Food was delicious we had the chicken and catupiry grilled pamonha, the steak burger, and a sweet pamonha. Definitely recommend the pamonha and the grilled pamonha!!!

Rárika L.

Yelp
Horrible place, the establishment smells like sewer also they're selling old food. especially their Pamonha which is horrible.

Ariadna D.

Yelp
Not the best place to get food. It takes forever for the food to come out. They stop making things whenever they decide. The cashier was nice but the cook definitely seems grumpy all the time. I'm Brazilian myself so I know good Brazilian food but this place doesn't measure up. Every time I come they always get my order wrong and they charge for a cup of water which is kinda ridiculous to me lol. They do have some pros it's super clean and the people up front are always friendly. There's no one ever here so there's no waiting in lines. If you want good Brazilian food I wouldn't recommend this place. Save your time and money....

Yelp
bad sandwichs, nothing of meat, they put peas, corn too much. i wont come back. i said i didnt like the sandwich and they didnt care about it.

Ana V.

Yelp
Never coming back. Waited for over an hour just to hear that they didn't have what I had asked for!

Kristen S.

Yelp
Got a sandwich with chicken and a ton of other stuff, very tasty, hot and fresh. I would go back!
