The owner is a great guy & don't get me started on the food!!! Was delicious 😋 the beer 🍺 cheese 🧀 soup 🍲 was the best & homemade! And SIR DEATH has the best tailgating party's he is so good with all the kiddos

The Scene Projects

Google
Popped in for a beer after the Monday Night Football game. Got served quickly and although we didn’t eat the food looked amazing!! This place is the home of Vikings World Order and the tailgate is right in the parking lot behind the bar!! We will spend a lot more time here in The future!!

Google
Nice local pub with decent menu selections and good beer/booze selections. Will be back!!

Google
Doesn't appear to be a friendly group of workers. Walked in no greet someone finally came over once I got my own menu. Shouldn't use that much salt on the fries had to check my blood pressure once I got back to work. Why put all the Condiments at the bottom? Not on the serving paper. Next time give me the entire onion since it was cut so thick. The box looked use that the food was in. First and last time.

DJ Earls

Google
Sweet spot across from the Marriott. Good selection of gin and bourbon. Wings didn't disappoint either. Liked that the kitchen was open until 10.

Google
Our food was cold. 🧊 I’m not sure how that was possible since we were sitting at the bar and the place was fairly busy. Both of these items should have been fresh out of the fryer/grill, but they were lukewarm at best. We’ve never been to this place (one of our favorite old haunts - Town Hall Brewery - is kitty corner from here) and we won’t be back. Totally disappointing.

Google
Corner bar came highly recommended by my BIL. He loves the wings. We tried the wings and I'll say they were good, well cooked. We like our wings cooked well done. These were the Joey wing, fried then grilled. Curds were mediocre. The burger was good, mostly because it had really good grill flavor. We'll go back!!

Google
No issues with service to be clear - bartender was great, helpful, etc. After through ordering some drinks and apps, started eating… things tasted a little off but maybe just bar food, right? Finished meal, noticed out of the corner of my eye. Mice coming out of the baseboards, running and grabbing food, then disappearing back into the walls. A little gross. Woke up a few hours later. Threw everything back up. Not a great experience.

Yelp
My friend and I came here for a comedy show last Friday and ended up ordering some appetizers before the show. I have been thinking about those bang bang shrimp all week and now posting these pictures I'm salivating. THAT GOOD! Some of the best I've ever had. They're not breaded, but that's fine by me. The sauce is excellent. I did need to devein a few of them, but they were some of the best shrimp I've had in the city. Chicken was good, but the zesty fries were a pleasant surprise. I appreciate the volume of sauce the serve. I'm a sauce guy and there was more than enough to go around. Friendly bartender and service. We will be back again. They have sufficient TVs all around and would be a good spot for games.

Yelp
Was invited to the corner bar to watch the Vikings game. I parked on the street but im pretty sure I saw a pay to park lot outside. I was the last person there, everyone already had drinks and food. They came over and took my order fairly quick. I ordered some shrimp "joey style" which was grilled and buffalo sauce, I believe that's one of their popular things. I would have got wings but I had wings that day already. And I got tots. Decided to just drink water. Food took a while which was kind of expected, but I watched rounds of beers and drinks get served and I didn't get my water for a while. I got my food and it was ok. I did ask for a pitcher of water and they brought that over so that fixed my water problem. As for the game, they had a ton of give tvs and projectors to watch the game on, not sure there was a bad seat in the bar. Decent experience, wouldn't mind going back to watch a game, but need to try other things on the menu if I do.

Yelp
Went in here to just check it out. It wasn't as divey as the exterior made it look. We did see that they do have a downstairs where they were holding a comedy show ($15 cover). We decided against checking out the show and decided to just grab some drinks. Holy moly. They served us an imperial stout in a pint glass. Which was a lot but appreciated considering most places only serve imperials in an 8oz glass. Service was good, and we did end up spilling a beer and they replaced it free of charge which was nice. All in all it was fine, they did tell us it is a big Vikings bar, so I'm sure it's fun when the Vikings are playing. Maybe just not my vibe. It just felt like any other bar. Nothing really to write home to mom about.

Yelp
Great breakfast buffet and Bloody Mary bar for tailgating Sundays! Tailgating out in the lot. Get there early to snag a spot in the lot. Otherwise lots of parking nearby. Easy walk to US Bank Stadium

Yelp
This is the type of place I gravitated towards when I lived on campus in my college years. It's a nice middle ground between a dive bar and a chain restaurant type feel for atmosphere. The wings were absolutely incredible 10/10 in my books. Get them joey style - you literally will not regret it. We've already got plans to attempt joey style at home now because it has literally lived rent free in our heads since our visit a few months ago. They have a parking lot right outside which is a huge bonus in this neighborhood. While it's not quite my scene for an everyday stop in and have a beer place, in my younger years I would've frequented here plenty.

Yelp
Horrible food, horrible service, EXTREMELY RUDE Bartenders one specifically wore a chain and had a black beard he blatantly pushed me out of his way instead of trying to ask nicely for me to watch out or to move nicely he pushed me with both of his hands in the back and almost pushed me over to the ground because I don't think anyone is expecting to get pushed from behind. When he came back I told him what he did was out of line and he shouldn't be touching anyone like that instead of apologizing for literally pushing me with with both his hands from behind he throws his hands up and tells me to get the fuck out when he assaulted me and I called him on it respectfully. What kind of establishment let's there staff put hands on people. This is the single and only time I would go here. Read the reviews " 3.5 star" I guarantee you can go and find a better spot than this dump
google avatar

Yelp
Went to The Corner Bar for the first time over lunch. There were very few people there so service was quick. The wings Jimmy style had a lot of flavor. I recommend getting the tots with the seasoned sour cream.

Yelp
Good food and drink! We visited on a Thursday night and it wasn't too busy. There was a "spirited" discussion going on at the bar (yes, pun intended!), but it wasn't too noisy and it was easy to find a seat. No hostess to greet you, just find a spot and they will help you. The menu is not fancy - burgers, sandwiches and appetizers covers it. I had a veggie burger with fries and a hard selzter. Hubby had a chicken sandwich and a few beers. Everything was hot and fresh. The fries I had and the tater tots that hubby had were nice a crisp! We both felt recharged and full after eating our meal. I don't agree with the other yelpers claim that the food and drink were expensive. Maybe it's because I'm from Chicagoland, but they seemed right in line with other places I've been. $10 for a veggie burger and paying $3 for fries instead of chips seemed like a bargain! Our server was very friendly which was much appreciated. We had been at a college orientation session that day and had been talked at all day, so her conversation was a welcome addition to a great meal. This is on a busy corner, be careful. Press the button for the walk signal!

Joey G.

Yelp
Google has their hours as closed on Sundays. I call to double check. Bartender hangs up on me. I call back in case we got disconnected, the bartender says "um obviously we're open" then hangs up again.... I suggest you fix your business hours before you have an attitude.
google avatar

Yelp
I saw a mouse run across the floor towards the bar and then back towards a table and into the wall. I mentioned it to the presumed manager at the bar without anyone else being able to hear and he was very unsurprised and said, "Yeah." I just said, "okay I just wanted to let you know without making a big deal about it." He responded with, "yeah it happens this time of year." He seemed annoyed that I brought it to his attention... It's clear that mice are not unusual at The Corner Bar and that staff are not concerned. Where else are there mice in the restaurant?

Ryan L.

Yelp
Rude bartender, average drink, and high prices. He yelled at my wife that she was to slow at ordering drinks! He literally turned around and walked away after the first drink order. Never coming back
google avatar

Cara S.

Yelp
So fabulous!! Our server, Jess, was friendly and wonderful! We're going to go down our food was phenomenal and we ordered a variety of things from the menu. Highly recommend the cheese curds, and all three varieties of old fashions we ordered were amazing.

Yelp
If I was able to give half stars, this would be a 3.5 - just a disclaimer! I was super torn between 3 or 4 stars. Really, really yummy burgers and other bar 'grub' in a laid back bar setting. Honestly, the best onion rings I've had. it's large and roomy and very clean. The staff are all very pleasant and there is table service (at least at the time that we went) and lots of TV's. (And touch tunes!) They have a wide variety of drink options including beer, wine, a curated cocktail list, and the typical rail drinks. They have a long list of options for each. I think this variety is great, My only gripe, and it's a big one, is the price. The food is a little on the pricey side and adds up quick with upcharges if you aren't paying attention (adding cheese, fries, etc). I think that probably largely boils down to location, since it's right on the edge of downtown and fairly close to US Bank Stadium. I'm not sure how much my rail drinks were, but it seemed like they were more expensive than your standard bar. Again, this is probably location based - but when we got the check I was audibly shocked. I felt bad immediately for saying the price out loud with my jaw dropped open when the server came to drop the check. But it was a lot! That being said, I will probably be back with this in mind and just be mindful of what I'm ordering. They aren't sneaky, or conniving in their pricing - but when you have bar grub in mind, you don't quite expect the price. So just don't make the same mistake as me and rack up a huge bill after a whiskey or two. (Or do, and if you do - get the onion rings)

Yelp
Beware: This place is shady and will scam your credit card. I visited on Saturday night to grab a drink before a comedy show. They gave no receipt when I checked out-- instead, just grabbed my card and ran it without telling me the total. I had to ask after it was run, they told me it was $16, and then I check my card transactions the next day and they charged me double that amount. I also ordered a drink through their toast tab which said that the total would be $13.00, and again-- the transaction came through as $26.00. And had a third transaction from this place for an amount of money and for something that I never ordered. Super shady that they're clearly running fraudulent credit cards and charging customers whatever they want. Will absolutely not be back.

Yelp
WINGS - 10 STARS. Get them joey style - get any sauce but you MUST get them joey style. Everything else....is just fine. The service is just fine. The other food is just fine. BUT the wings are on my list of best wings in the cities! There is quite a bit of parking surrounding the area!
google avatar

Andy G.

Yelp
It was slow when I got there late last night but it looked like the kind of place that would be packed for happy hour/on the weekends with its huge bar. The bartender was super helpful and knowledgeable regarding craft beer. I'd go back.
google avatar

Edward A.

Yelp
Probably one of the better bars I have been to in recent memory. Waffle fries are excellent and the burger I had was done quite well. I recommend this place. Prices are decent and service was excellent. I rate this place a 4.5/5. This place could be 5 stars, the food was almost perfect, almost. Keep making those minor tweaks to find perfection.
google avatar

Holly T.

Yelp
Hands down best wings in Minneapolis! Get them Joey style. Always a fun vibe with excellent service and one of my go to neighborhood sports bar. I'm excited to check out the comedy one of these Friday nights too!
google avatar

Whitney C.

Yelp
Be sure to park directly behind the bar for $5 discount off tab. Select "yes" for second receipt when the machine asks. I do enjoy this place when I want a quiet place to eat. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is kept clean, and I absolutely love the pizza/salad/soup bar. Don't forget to grab a cookie!

Carrie S.

Yelp
THE best side salad in town! And a shout out to Ashton for being such a informative and wonderful server! do yourself a favor and take his advice
google avatar

Ryan F.

Yelp
- Best Wings In Twin Cities - "Joey Style" is a must they are cooked perfectly. Service is always on point and very friendly. Kitchen is open late :) They Serve Perfect Guinness Draft
google avatar

Shelby D.

Yelp
This place fills up on Friday nights because of comedy. It can take a few minutes to get a bartender's attention and another few minutes to get your drink. It's understandable with the amount of people, but I wish they staffed a few extra people on these nights or divided the bar up better. Food is pretty mediocre. Drinks feel a bit overpriced when you may only get a splash of whatever you ordered. But you come here to see the show!
google avatar

Morgan J.

Yelp
Free popcorn, WITH powder toppings! Their drinks are average, prices are average, and service was good. Not a bad little dive bar and a convenient location.
google avatar

Yelp
We went here after attending a Fringe show at the Southern Theater. The weather was nice so we decided to sit outside, which was a good thing, as the volume of the music inside was quite loud for a Sunday evening. I had the french dip topped with cheese peppers and onions with a side of fries. The sandwich was large and both it and the au jus were good. My dinner partner had the west bank chicken sandwich. She enjoyed it. While it was nothing outstanding, it was better than regular bar food and I would consider eating here again.

Iris S.

Yelp
When I moved here 3 years ago I had heard raves about their Bob's pizza so I had to try it. I was quite good at that point and a value. Frankly, compared to Michigan, I was in sticker shock in general about the pizza prices in this town. Unfortunately, it has declined in quality over the years. It is now rather doughy and chewy. The prices haven't risen all that much, but the value isn't all that great. The drink prices are so-so. I could definitely do better for the beer price (and micro-brew quality) across the street at the Town Hall. The mixed drinks are just "eh" where I feel like for the price, the bartenders are substantially more heavy handed at Bullwinkle's. A redeeming factor for me is the NTN trivia. The next closest locations for me are a long walk across the river to Stub & Herb's or downtown to the non-descript 8th St. Grill. I really enjoy NTN, but can understand why it wouldn't attract certain people. Overall, it has nice interior decor (art on the walls) and it is clean, which isn't always the case in 7 Corners bars. I'd return for cocktails and grub only if my friends were adamant, but there are other haunts I prefer.
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
Had excellent time at the Corner Bar this weekend. It was primarily made that way by the friendly bartenders and the excellent table servers. It was very busy in there as I arrived and it thinned out approaching midnight-12:30am. Big open room atmosphere with bar in the middle. 2 dart boards as soon as you walk into the bar. I watched a guy pour 6 shots of Patron and use almost 95% of the bottle for it (beit the shots were $39 I believe, but damn a bottle itself costs $42!). I would defintely make another stop in here when in town. I would also make sure to visit Bullwinkles and Grandma's, but avoid SGT Prestons.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
I used to live around the corner from this place and go to school at the U, so I spent a fair amount of time at Seven Corners. I'll be honest, I don't really get this place's appeal. Every other bar at this corner has or had a thing. Republic is upscale bougie spot with exotic imported beer and frou-frou food; before that, Sgt. Preston's was a shit-hole for crowds getting plastered. Bullwinkle's is a loveable dive. Town Hall is a nice little homey craft brewery. The Corner Bar was just a random generic, mediocre sports bar. Service was alright whenever I dropped in. But the food was mediocre. More importantly, the sports fan vibe was mediocre; I never really felt that "buzz" you feel move through a crowd when something good or special happens in a game. Was pretty much my last resort for catching a game. To top it off, I found it a little pricy for what it was.

Vin D.

Yelp
Best place in Minneapolis. Amazing food and even better service! Great for all games. Shout out to Adria and Keala for the awesome hospitality and good times. Guns up.
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
It's alright for a Seven Corners night out, but I wouldn't make a special trip unless there was a good reason. My BF went to law school on the West Bank, so we've been here quite a few times over the years even though it's not a favorite. One of the most memorable visits was the Zombie Pub Crawl (post-Yelp Blood Bath), where it was so crowded that we couldn't get inside. We snagged a table on the sidewalk and did not move for the rest of the crawl. We're so old and lame, but Corner Bar was a lifesaver that night. We recently came for our friend's birthday and they did a great job with the casual party. He actually purchased a keg from the bar, so our group got wristbands and we just were able to have at it all night. They also kept his cake in the fridge until it was time to blow out the candles. I thought that was really nice of them to do, even on a pretty busy weekend night. They have a little-known comedy club in the basement, but I've never been down there.
google avatar

Jonathan E.

Yelp
Ah, the corner. O how I love thee! When you are missing your college days, or just want a shot, Corner Bar is the place to go. I must say, it is your run-of-the-mill sports bar. Huge TV's and plenty of them, complimented by an even bigger projection screen for watching the big game or fight that is on any given night. Buck Hunter, Golden Tee, crack-box at the bar, darts, pool - check, check, check, check, check. (Sometimes they move the pool table so that you can bust some moves in front of the big glass windows by the bus stop.) Service is friendly and mostly efficient, especially when you work in the same general vicinity! (I like you guys!) Beer is average. Not good. Not bad. Just average. However, they can make you a mean shot! If you have 4 friends, and they all happen to be at Corner Bar at the same time as you, try a shot-ski. Nothing like team building while marathon drinking! Food is good. I generally limit myself to the 'Almost World Renownd Joey Wings' and the pizza. I normally open up and try new things, but come on, you can't go wrong with dry-rubbed wings and pepperoni! I love it here. I know what it is and am not scared to say it. You can be a big boy/girl and choose to go here or not. You know what you will get, but why not have a good time...and eat some of the wings! They are almost world famous you know!
google avatar

Jeff S.

Yelp
My coworkers were visiting from out of town and we ate here. They ordered the chicken and I had a burger. The burger was so so but the chicken from what they described was disgusting. Neither of them finished their food. We went back to the hotel and ate again there. Seems like a decent place to hang out for drinks though. That's about all I suggest you get there.
google avatar

Sandeep K.

Yelp
Free popcorn. Decent apps. Good atmosphere. Never regretted coming here. One of the best bars around West bank area.
google avatar

Paul J.

Yelp
Horrible staff. Rude. So-so food, definitely not worth what you pay for it. Parking is terrible. Don't go here.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Too douchy for my likings, being on 7 corners and all, but they do have a pretty decent pizza! I guess, I would come back here, as long as it is during the day time on a weekday. I don't really care for the patrons of this place come the weekend. This whole corner is just full of drunken college guys..not what I care for! Other than that, if you like sports, beer, and pizza, this may be your fix.
google avatar

Amina O.

Yelp
I feel a bit bad giving this place 2 stars because it is exactly how it presents itself. I really want to give it 2.5 stars. Actually yes, I rate this as a 2.5. Corner Bar that you can stop in to to grab a beer and burger (I hope they serve burgers, I actually have never eaten here). The bartenders seemed friendly, I was having trouble buying a parking pass in their lot and came in to ask if there was a different way I could pay since the machine seemed to be down. They were quick to make a phone call and even come out themselves to help see if they could try to figure it out. Drinks were fairly priced and the few times I've been in I haven't had a problem grabbing a seat. It's just almost unfair to have this right next to the Republic and Town Hall. Strictly focusing on beer the choice is clear which is better but if you just want some mixed drinks I would definitely say this is a decent casual place to hang out.
google avatar

Matt Z.

Yelp
I've been back a few times recently, I like the place. I like places with a bunch of chuckleheads behind the bar, hell, gimme chuckleheads all over the place. Me being a genuine meathead doofus, I've kinda let their new corndog special create intermittent cravings, the State Fair fare exceeds fair. Yes, I amused myself with that sentence.
google avatar

Shawn S.

Yelp
The Joey Wings are almost world famous vs actually being world famous because they aren't that good. Greasy which was surprising as they are grilled. (I'm from upstate NY so I know my wings). For sports - TVs are not ideal - projection TVs don't show well in the daylight. There was one OK HD TV at the bar but small. So not good to watch games either. Burger was good, beer list decent, service was competent, but there are better places to choose from. Tip - park in the lot out back and get validated.
google avatar

Grace H.

Yelp
It's ok. Again, I live around the seven corners area so I go here more as a matter of convenience. The food is pretty standard. As I've mentioned in the past, I don't really enjoy regular bar fare. Drinks are ok as well. Overall just a decent experience. Nothing particularly impressive though. The crowd wasn't too rowdy any of the times I was there so you can hold a decent conversation with friends or dates.
google avatar

Jason D.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Minneapolis. The Corner Bar is noting fancy, but if you like decent bar food, good pizza, and great service, you should try the Corner Bar. I have been there on several occasions ranging from lunch, drinks after work or meals before or after downtown Minneapolis events. All are a good experience. It's also not a bad place to watch a Twins game. I mostly eat apps, but the sandwiches are good too. My favorite app are the Joey wings. They are grilled chicken wings with Buffalo sauce. Yum. The pizza there is also pretty good for for a bar. We used to go there after kick ball and get a few pizzas, all were a hit. I must admit, the pizza buffet during lunch is not as good as the made to order pizza (as you might expect). Also, I spend most of my time there during non peak hours. I do not know what it's like in there after 9pm. I think a lot of college students, which I can do without. I will definitely be back in the near future.
google avatar

Mark R.

Yelp
First off, let me tell you why I am now a fan of the Corner Bar. It's because of Joe the bartender and Heather who is either the other bartender or manager. Both of these two made this a fun bar even though it was pretty much empty. My friend and I headed over here to try a new bar and although the beer selection was a bit lacking, we werent left too disappointed. The waffle fries were very good as far as waffle fries go. I would normally rate this a 3-star, but like I mentioned, great bartenders!
google avatar

Jannette C.

Yelp
While the food is decent, so many other things are wrong with this place. "Seat yourself" in a fairly empty restaurant means waiting 10 minutes for menus. My order was not taken correctly, and one of the people at our table didn't have his order taken until the rest of us had our food. The whole point of going there, though, was the under ground comedy club. We come into town from all over the continent once a year to see our friend perform, and he was refused a spot. We brought 15 people (which would have filled half their room) and were denied because our comedian wasn't a regular. Three years of history down the drain.

Michael M.

Yelp
I had their Buffalo Wings, "Joey", style. After they get done frying them, they throw them on a grill and get some nice charring. They also added extra sauce, which was nice. BIG wings. They make their own buffalo sauce, and it had a hint of sweetness, which was delicious. The bar tender and wait staff were very nice. look forward to visiting them again.
google avatar

Kaylen L.

Yelp
Had a burger here a couple weeks ago. We had good service and the food was pretty decent for a burger. All they really had were burgers and the classic appetizers that are usually seen at bars. It had a good vibe and the prices were pretty average for that kind of food.
google avatar

Christina C.

Yelp
Great place and great prices! I've been twice now, and it's never been so crowded that I wasn't able to grab a table to have an easier time talking with friends, and the prices are CHEAP compared to other bars in the area. In terms of food, I've only had appetizers and they weren't stellar (I can melt cheese over tortilla chips and chicken slices too), but if you just need a bite with your drink it definitely gets the job done.
google avatar

Mallory B.

Yelp
Awesome salad bar! It has ALMOST everything that you could ever want to put on a salad plus something else..pepperoni? Who knew? Great burgers! The pizza buffet looked pretty good as well. Service was great for our bigger work group.
google avatar

Willow N.

Yelp
Three words: Murray's Mexican Menu. It's Taco Tuesday every day at Corner Bar! Great beer selection, good food, and awesome staff. This place is like Cheers, the more times you visit, the better is gets!

Billy P.

Yelp
If your coming to the Super Bowl this is the place to hang out. Great food, adults for staff, and best time ever. The owners name is Bill Murray
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
Joey style wings & cheese curds & tots! If you're looking for a fancy bar...this is not it. However, if you love Wings and Cheese curds (like me) then it's a good place to visit. Their Joey Style wings are different than most wings. "Joey Style" are seasoned ovenbaked, flash fried then lightly grilled...and are basically some of the best wings ever. I'm not a fan of extra spicy but I love Buffalo Wings, and they have figured out how to do it right. Most likely will order the same Buffalo Wings every time I go back now. I would give this 5 stars just for the wings. They also have a decent tap menu including many craft beers.

Yelp
I did'nt go to the U and I didnt grow up in the area but thanks to joining a summer softball league that hosted deals at The Corner Bar I was able to spend a lot of time here this last summer. Located in the West Bank area close to the new US Bank stadium Corner Bar has an awesome HH with a big selection of beers. I've had a quesadilla and it was okay, not great...but the wings. Oh the wings. Theyre super saucy yet still crispy, with an abundance of flavor. I would eat these every day if I could. Lots of tables and fairly clean, this place is worth the 10 minutes trying to find parking,
