From our greeting as we walked in, to being sat properly, to introductions... absolutely spot on! ...and then the real service began!!! Cannot begin to say enough about the personalized attention, both by our server (Melanie) and the owner ("V")! Truly a declaration to all of the 'other' higher-end restaurants out there. All of these words and we haven't even talked about the food yet! And OMG!!! Absolutely top notch! Some of the best food I have had, in any country...EVER! If I could give more stars, I would! Words won't suffice. You, dear connoisseur; dear Snapchat Influencer, dear...dare I say...'Foodie'; this an insiders rumour, a goldmine of a trend, or a fantastic place to enjoy with your best and most intimate friends. Had the pleasure of celebrating a big birthday milestone for a family member and it couldn’t have been better. Even with the intimate 30ish seat dining room they accommodated our party of 8 and did an excellent job. The menu is short but it’s packed with amazing dishes, as well as many specials on the weekend that made it very hard to choose! Generous portion sizes and the food was incredible. Huge win to have a restaurant of this caliber in this neck of the woods. Easy to get to off the 404. Hope to be back soon.

We went to The Corner House Bistro for Mother’s Day and had an incredible experience. We started with the fig salad, which was fresh and delicious. Both my girlfriend and I ordered the prime rib, and it was hands down the best prime rib we’ve ever had—perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavour. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. A perfect spot for a special occasion—we’ll definitely be returning!

Christmas Eve dinner perfection! A true five-star experience. My wife Robin, our daughter Chelsea, and I enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at The Corner House Bistro, and it was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. Vee always makes us feel right at home — she has an incredible way of remembering her customers and making each visit feel special and personal. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. Her husband, Chef Alan, is an exceptionally talented chef, and once again, the food was simply to die for. You can truly taste the difference knowing everything is fresh, locally sourced, and made completely from scratch. I had the prime rib with an added lobster tail, cooked perfectly and packed with flavour. Robin and Chelsea both enjoyed the filet mignon, and they were equally impressed. We started with Mushrooms Neptune, a Caesar salad, and one of Robin’s favourite specialty cocktails — all excellent. Dessert was the perfect ending: Robin had the lemoncello blueberry cheesecake, I had the caramel pecan cheesecake, and Chelsea finished with mango sorbet. Every single bite was fantastic. The serving staff were professional, pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable, adding even more to an already outstanding evening. From the warm atmosphere to the impeccable food and service, this place never disappoints. We truly can’t wait to dine here again. After living in Keswick for 15 years, we finally visited Corner House…only wish we tried it early. This small, classy spot offers fine dining at its best. The service was impeccable, with attentive and personable staff who made us feel truly welcome. The owner, V, is incredibly humble and warm, and her passion for hospitality shines. Though we didn’t meet her husband, the chef, his talent is something to recognize. Everything is homemade, delicious, and made to order. We came for a quiet 40th birthday dinner while our dog rested after surgery, and it turned out to be the perfect way to celebrate. The ambiance, food, and service were exactly what I needed. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a night to treat yourself, Corner House is the perfect place to try. Thank you for incredible meal and service. Certainly a fantastic ending to a worrisome week for our pup.

A Hidden Gem with Heart and Flavor! From the moment we walked into The Corner House, we were warmly welcomed by Vee (the co-owner) and the incredible staff who made us feel right at home. The cozy charm of the place is matched only by the quality of the food, which is nothing short of exceptional. We began our meal with the Mushrooms Neptune and a lovely bottle of wine, both of which set the tone for an evening of indulgent, thoughtfully prepared dishes. For our entrées, we each chose one of the day's specials, and they did not disappoint. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Alan, the chef (and co-owner and Vee’s husband), is a true talent in the kitchen. We ended our meal with the chocolate peanut butter cheesecake, which was rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet finish. It is obvious that only premium ingredients are used, and the attention to detail shines through in every dish. A huge thank you to the staff. Their service was impeccable and genuinely warm. This place is a standout, and I can confidently say I’ll be back, likely within the next 14 days. 😍 Highly, highly recommend!

My husband and I absolutely love coming to the Corner House Bistro. We go a few times a year and absolutely love the experience every time. The restaurant is run by a couple, where the husband is the chef and the wife is front of house. You can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do by the quality of the food and service. There’s always amazing “specials”, which I always order instead of going off the main menu, because they’re always so interesting and delicious! A signature item they do is crab stuffed shrimp… I’ve never had anything like it elsewhere and it’s absolutely delicious! Definitely order a dish that includes them! Their grilled calamari appetizer is always done perfectly, and their desserts are to die for (especially the caramel pecan cheesecake). I HIGHLY recommend visiting this place, you’re truly missing out if you don’t!

In our opinion the prices match the quality. We've been to many fine dining establishments and only to a few we have returned. This is one of them! Our 1st visit We enjoyed the *Bacon wrapped scallops appetizer *Mushroom ravioli *Potato crusted Halibut *Medium rare prime-rib We were exceptionally delighted in how everything was plated & prepared. We met one of the owners, she was very personable, hospitable and friendly. The waitress was very professional, accommodating and is a beautiful person. My husband and I will be going back regularly. A true gem 💎 of a restaurant.

If I could give this restaurant more stars I would!!! we had our New Year's Eve dinner here and was just blown away. The food was amazingly delicious. Each dish just got better and better. The owner and all the waiters/staff are very friendly and welcoming. We will 100% be returning!

What a great night! Food was fantastic, service was incredible, and we had an all around amazing night out at the Corner House for my wife's 30th birthday! If you're looking for a local, family owned, 5-star dining experience, we highly suggest it.

It has been awhile since I have had a chance to enjoy Keswick gem of a restaurant and never disappointed. If you are looking for an elevated dining experience, be sure to make a reservation at the Corner House Bistro. With everything from base sauces to their amazing desserts, everything is made in house in-house. Add to the mix, a generous menu of staples as well as weekly specials, and a great wine list, you will love every bite and accompanying sip. The next time you want to get out of the house be sure to consider the exceptional food, great service, and the friendly greetings by owners Chef Alan and Vee.

We are so lucky to get 1 spot for reservation. The place is cozy and clean. Friendly staff. The complimentary bread with olive oil & balsamic vinegar taste good. We ordered broccoli cheddar soup & oysters for a start. For our mains, we get the chicken Parmesan & prime rib medium rare steak. I can't believe I finished 12oz steak, that was sooo good, it melts in my mouth. The serving was huge that I thought I was not able to finished it but surprisingly, I did finish my 12oz steak. I loved it. And they have a 3 meal course too for $55/head on weekdays (I forgot the days) but definitely coming back for that.

The food here is absolutely delicious. We have ordered takeout several times but looked forward to dining in. It did not disappoint. The service is great they are attentive but never rushed you. We took my son in law and daughter for a special anniversary and they enjoyed it also. This is a true gem and look forward to a return visit.

We went to Valentines Day dinner. The food was great. We had the Chilean Sea and risotto with lobster tail and fillet mignon. Also the desserts were amazing. The only recommendation would be to have a better wine selection. Our server, Tara was very attentive considering that the restaurant was full. The atmosphere was pleasant. We will return with the family very soon.

A decent dining establishment but the night we were there, I must have been a magnet for accidents, as they spilled a drink on me, spilled a container of ice on me and served me cold food. Obviously this was a night for freak accidents, as everyone else talks about how this is a great restaurant for a nice romantic dinner.

This restaurant is plain outside, lovely inside decor, excellent service. Mediocre meal. The value for the price was mediocre. So sorry to say so. But for us we will not return.

Good food high price but quaily being the reason not an everyday meal stop but good for special occasions instead of going to a high price chain restaurant

This is a family take out meal that the Restaurant offered during the pandemic. The main course, the beef was Tender Sautéed Beef Medallions and Roasted Mushroom Ravioli tossed in Marsala Mushroom Sauce with Pancetta, Pearl Onion & Peas- lots of quality flavours and quantity of food. The salad had eye popping bacon flowers and garlic was not overpowering either. The desert was lovely, rich but not overpoweringly sweet or sticky like some cheesecake can be. Would order this again and just as the food served in house, prepared and bundled up for eating at home with the same care and quality.

I have to admit that I am a bit biased because I live within walking distance of this venue. That aside, I can't image that I am going to properly capture the true atmosphere, ambiance and sincere love that this place has and regularly does generate for me on every visit. I have been going to the Corner House with my wife for about 4 years now. The mood of the place has changed a bit over that time, but for those who don't live within walking distance, let me assure you that the drive to the nether regions of Keswick proper are well worth it. What it is: A classic small family restaurant that serves impeccably designed food at a reasonable price. It is a local staple, a place where regulars who enjoy high quality cuisine go to enjoy the ideas and execution of the house chefs on a monthly and even weekly basis. Picture the best restaurant in Toronto without the attitude, drama and aloof wait staff. You're getting close, but it still doesn't capture it. What it is Not: A stuffy, snooty high class eatery where you have to look down your nose at the wait staff, owners and fellow guests. This is a place of food and friendship. If you are not prepared to get a hug when you enter and a hug when you leave, go somewhere else. This restaurant is not for the shy or faint of heart. It is for those that are willing to declare their love of great food; great wine and excellent company and live the experience out loud. You will get out of the Corner House what you put into it. It is the best of both worlds. World class fine dining by the beautify Lake Simcoe, and a venue small and intimate enough to attract the likes of Bob De Niro on a regular basis. He comes for the Pumpkin Cheese Cake like the rest of us caught in its magical spell. FYI Christine makes the Pumpkin Cheesecake just like she makes all the deserts. From scratch. By Hand. Fresh. Daily. The level of commitment to food and taste is what sets this place apart. The dedication from the owners to high quality food, great service, and a down to earth attitude lift this establishment above and beyond what you might expect from restaurants in the area, and fine dining establishments at large. The Corner House is more than a restaurant. It's a refuge. A place where you can go and feel assured that the food, the staff and the service will be top notch, so that all those worries can be lifted from your shoulders, and you can focus on forgetting the world, and enjoying the creations set before you.

Wife and I went for our anniversary dinner. I had steak and scallops and my wife had steak and shrimp . The meals were delicious.. Steak was cooked the way we like it and was juicy. The seafood was flavourful too. Onto dessert.. We got the pumpkin cheesecake.. It was probably one of the best I have ever had. Homemade too. I also had the Irish coffee which was delicious. Overall it was a great meal and the restaurant itself is a small dining area with great ambience.

Since moving to Keswick, my boyfriend and I have been scoping a fine dining restaurant to enjoy on special occasions. We had been trying to go to the corner house bistro since covid happened, all restaurants were closed and finally this evening were able to enjoy our 2nd year anniversary dinner there. Everything we ordered on the menu was delicious! We couldn't decide on what to get so we ordered 3 mains between the two of us, LOL. New York strip loin, had a nice charred grilled flavor, cooked to perfection. Rack of lamb came with a delicious flavorful dark gravy, mash and seasonal Veg and off the menu we ordered a creamy risotto topped with braised veal with bone in, the best part was the bone marrow in the bone, the risotto itself was delicious! The portions were quite generous so although delicious we couldn't finish it all but of course there's always room for dessert! My boyfriend had the creme brulee, to my surprise had a nice coffee aroma, very memorable taste and I had the chocolate brownie with tart berries and a side of vannila ice cream. I gotta say it was the best meals I've had all year. We will definitely be coming back! The service was also excellent, I would absolutely recommend for a romantic intimate dining experience.

My husband and I had an incredible anniversary dinner at the Corner House Bistro -- we can't recommend this place enough! The food was delicious and our steaks were hands down the best we've ever had at a restaurant! Thanks for such a great experience, we will definitely be coming back!

I'd heard so much about this wonderful place-that I took a very particular vegetarian Toronto friend to The Corner house a couple months ago and we loved it so much we went back the following Friday. One of my very best staff and her husband (Keswickians) also went for date night last week and had only fabulous things to say and are already planning their second visit- so it appeals to both local and Toronto clientele. The new owner loves people , is super friendly and prides herself in the small unnoticed things . I will be using this place for my companies anniversaries from now on. If I didn't live in Georgina, I would drive out of my way to visit this restaurant. Since the new owners took over, the food and outstanding and the service is second to none. I started with a goat cheese and beet salad, that included both red beets and golden beets roasted and served on a bed of greens with candied pecans. I followed that up with a medium rare prime rib, served with a mix of vegetables (asparagus, green beans, carrots, etc.) and mashed potatoes. The prime rib was served au jus with horseradish, and I will admit the horseradish was not the best I've ever had but it was acceptable. The prime rib though was outstanding. I had the smaller portion and found it to be quite generous. Desert for me was the brownie, served with some berries and drizzled with a chocolate sauce - divine. I complimented my meal with a wonderful Pinot Noir from France. I loved their "charity bread" - the first serving is on the house, and additional orders were $3, with proceeds going to a local charity chosen every month (this month is it heart and stroke). The restaurant is pricey, but it is fine dining. For fine dining I expect a different level of service and food, and this wonderful little gem absolutely delivered on that. It's a small, cosy bistro with limited seating and an absolutely pleasurable experience. Since it was my birthday, they actually gave me a beautiful red rose from a local florist and it's these little touches that make this little bistro fantastic. In case anyone thinks I'm going overboard in my praise, I'll point out that my husband is extremely fussy about the restaurants he'll go too (I have spoiled him with my cooking at home) and he truly loved it tonight and suggested we return. That in itself is the highest praise! Well done Corner House! PS - I don't have photos because I was too busy enjoying the food.

What a gem! The service was awesome and the food was delicious. We had the sagnaki, pasta, sole and veal. Portions were generous, fresh and flavourful. Atmosphere was a little dark and wished there was more options in the menu, but it was delicious

We have gone to this restaurant several times over the years, and every time we have had a most wonderful experience, starting from the greeting and ambiance, to the great menu and wine list. The food itself is quality cooked with passion, and you can taste it. I have had the same servers each time I went, and I cannot imagine better service from better staff anywhere. Prices are in line with what you would expect from a higher end restaurant, but did not break the bank. I can't wait until we next return there.

I went for dinner here as I heard it was a hidden gem from locals. The atmosphere was wonderful and the staff was nice. Unfortunately, my meal was far from special. I ordered the surf and turf platter for 2. The steak was over cooked, and the seafood (mussels, shrimp, crab and lobster) were a combination of over and under cooked. When I expressed my lack of enthusiasm over our meal, the owner seemed less than concerned. We didn't finish the crab, lobster, or mussels. Very disappointing dining experience!

Great food at this owner operated restaurant. Desserts are hand made and to die for.

This is a very over priced restaurant with snooty owners who are inflexible and quite frankly, she is a bit rude. This used to be our go to place in town however, since the new owners took over, it has lost its charm, warmth. This prices are exceedingly high even compared to high end Toronto restaurants and the food is a bit above average, but not much better than that. We have dined there 3 times since the new owners to give it a fair chance and each time we leave feeling ripped off and, unsatisfied and frankly feeling like V was doing us a favour to serve us. We will not return, that is for sure!

Great spot ... Personal service, good food, and some of the best cheesecake you can find. Definitely the areas best fine dinning.

All I can say is amazing!! Best meal I have ever eaten. My husband and I went to the Corner House for my birthday and we both were amazed at the food and the service. We had the mushrooms Neptune which were to die for and the rice balls. Than our main we shared the steak and seafood platter. So much food!!! Steak was best we ever had and the lobster was huge never seen a tail so good, and it just melted in your mouth. The staff was extremely polite and cared that we enjoyed our meal and experience. I took a piece of blueberry cheesecake home. It was the best cheesecake ever!!! Hands down best meal ever!!! We have found our new spot for years to come.

This restaurant is my favorite place to eat anywhere. I have never had a bad meal here the food is out of this world. The beef tenderloin is always cooked to perfection and they have the best Caesar salad and the Alfredo sauce is out of this world. The friendly service makes the whole experience that much better. I high recommend spending an evening at this wonder place and often as you can. Can't wait to return.
