Christmas Eve dinner perfection! A true five-star experience.
My wife Robin, our daughter Chelsea, and I enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at The Corner House Bistro, and it was absolutely outstanding from start to finish.
Vee always makes us feel right at home — she has an incredible way of remembering her customers and making each visit feel special and personal. That kind of genuine hospitality is rare and truly appreciated. Her husband, Chef Alan, is an exceptionally talented chef, and once again, the food was simply to die for. You can truly taste the difference knowing everything is fresh, locally sourced, and made completely from scratch.
I had the prime rib with an added lobster tail, cooked perfectly and packed with flavour. Robin and Chelsea both enjoyed the filet mignon, and they were equally impressed. We started with Mushrooms Neptune, a Caesar salad, and one of Robin’s favourite specialty cocktails — all excellent.
Dessert was the perfect ending: Robin had the lemoncello blueberry cheesecake, I had the caramel pecan cheesecake, and Chelsea finished with mango sorbet. Every single bite was fantastic.
The serving staff were professional, pleasant, and extremely knowledgeable, adding even more to an already outstanding evening. From the warm atmosphere to the impeccable food and service, this place never disappoints. We truly can’t wait to dine here again. If you’re looking for an exceptional local restaurant in Keswick, this is it — a true five-star experience.
