We discovered this place as we walked in that neighbourhood. We had the burger special with a side for $14 when ordering a drink. The burgers were fresh and tasty. Both the burgers and fries did not feel heavy at all. The salad had a tasty dressing. The patio is great and the service too.

This is a place with amazing food and seating options on an evening in summers. if you are walking by the downtown and happen to cross this place, you can have dinner here because they have amazing seating lounge where you can sit and relax. The food quality is great as well. They have a great drinks as well, what we did was, we ordered some refreshing drink and then we ordered a burger and a bowl ;both burger and bowl were very healthy and nice and full of taste.

Visited The Corner Place with a friend and really enjoyed the overall vibe. It’s the kind of spot that’s perfect for sitting out, eating, and catching up. The service was top notch—friendly and attentive without being overbearing. While the food wasn’t mind-blowing, it was still good and satisfying. Definitely a nice place to relax and enjoy good company in a chill setting.

Google
We went here because of the great ratings and weren't disappointed. On a Thursday night at around 9, this place was half full. Their lager beer is really good and the sides and munchies We ordered were all amazing. They arrived pretty quick, too. Space is a bit cramped but feels lively. Restrooms are flight of stairs down and might be tricky if you're wasted. 😂

I’d walked by this place a few times while hanging out with friends last week, and since we were hungry, we decided to give it a try. The burgers were pretty good, the meat was juicy, though slightly burnt. The fries were nice and crispy, and the rice was surprisingly delicious! Personally, I liked the burgers the most. The drinks were pretty good too, there’s even happy hour drinks!

I came here with one of my best friends for brunch and had a lovely time! This restaurant is a hotspot, just across from the St. Lawrence Market. Our server was kind, prompt and had great brunch recommendations! The interior was nicely furnished with wood furniture, plants galore, and unique, homey decor. I got a simple Iced Tea to drink, and ordered their Breakfast Poutine. It was a very generous portion, hearty and super delicious! A sunny-side up egg, hollandaise sauce, potatoes, green onions, bacon, sausage and more - what’s not to love? Plus, you’ll definitely have some extra to take home. I loved this cute restaurant and would definitely recommend their brunch menu. I’ll have to return to try something on their regular menu!

We love spending time at Corner Place. It’s such a cozy spot with a warm, welcoming vibe and genuinely friendly service. They always have great daily offers, which makes every visit feel like a treat. A perfect place to relax, enjoy good food, and unwind!

My fiancee and I had dinner here after visiting the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto. We sat outside because the weather was perfect and the atmosphere was pretty. Service was very attentive even though we were sitting outside and in the corner. We shared a vegan burger (on a gluten free bun) and fries and greatly enjoyed the food. We were okay waiting a bit long for our food, but the server wanted to make up for it and decided to cover our bill for us! An incredibly kind surprise, and on our engagement day too :) We would definitely visit again!

Yelp
Went here for brunch. It's across from St Lawrence market. It's a great spot for brunch on the weekend in this area. My friend had the Bennie and I had the standard breakfast. It was a hearty option - eggs, sausage, bacon and peameal with potatoes (which were awesome) plus toast and salad. Definitely a filling option. Go by transit or park in the nearby Green P in the north market.

Yelp
Ambiance at the patio was nice - somewhat shaded under a large mature tree, with stringed lightbulbs along the inside of the wooden fencing of the patio which made it quite pretty. The interior of the restaurant was quite dark and the music was a bit too loud IMO. But at the patio, you could hear the music while still being able to converse with the people at your table. Service was great and very friendly, but the food was a downer. Their menu can be described as "global eclectic fusion" - there were Middle Eastern, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Mexican, and Indian influences in the menu items. But the dishes that we tried weren't that great. Mee Goreng was super salty and drowned in so much sauce that didn't even taste good, and it was 95% noodles and wasn't much else (the protein add-on came out as only very few pieces of shrimps). I wouldn't be surprised if there was a whole week's worth of sodium in that dish. The Baked Tandoori Fish description sounded good on the menu, but to my disappointment, it was covered with so much white sauce (that was supposed to be garlic aioli but looked and tasted more like mayo), and the fish seemed breaded. The pice de gallo that came on top of the fish tasted nothing like the pico de gallo found in Mexican restaurants... and unfortunately it was drowned in so much of the white sauce. It came with plain white rice that seemed like it had been sitting out of the rice cooker for too long (akin to the dry and days-old white rice that you're supposed to use to make fried rice). Both main dishes (in addition to being overly saucy) were also topped with so many wonton crisps (like the ones you'd find at cheap Asian buffet restaurants), as if trying to make up for the negatives of the dishes. The only decent item was the Terragon Herbed Salad - simple but you can never go wrong with fresh leafy greens.

Yelp
This was a very cheerful and cozy restaurant and bar right across the street from St. Lawrence Market. I had the white fish with rice and french fried onions stacked on top and it was light, crispy, citrusy and delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the server actually recommended the dish. The limoncello spritzer complimented the dish very nicely. The prices seemed a bit high to me, but probably average for the area. I will visit again on my next visit to Toronto, Canada.

Yelp
There are all sorts of food. It was pretty good. Not as filling as i thought it would be. Service is nice but also a little bit nonexistent. Place is nice and has an outdoor and indoor setting. I was outdoors at night which was nice

Yelp
Visited The Corner Place near St. Lawrence Market and loved the summer vibes on their patio. No wait when we arrived, and the service was decent with regular check-ins. Drinks were well-priced for Toronto and quite tasty. We tried the Truffle Fries, which were fantastic--huge portion with lots of sauce and a mild truffle flavor. The Bang Bang Prawns were good too, though a bit chewy and not as large a portion. The Japanese tacos were a highlight--so delicious with a huge chicken slab, making them hard to close, but the flavors and sauces made up for it. A crispier shell would have made them perfect. The Pistachio Ricotta Cake was amazing, combining two of my favorite flavors. I just wish it was bigger hehe Overall, The Corner Place is a great spot for patio dining, and I'm definitely planning to come back!

Yelp
Food: 4 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 4 Stars Fill Factor: Filling This is a bit of a late review but I discovered this place last summer and have since returned on multiple occasions. My first time here was with a group that just randomly picked a place with the expectation of average food here but we were absolutely wrong as the food here has yet to disappoint. The food menu here is a not overly large with a limited number of options. So far I have tried the jerk chicken burger and the prime rib burger usually with a side of salad to make it feel like I am being health conscious. Both burgers were really juicy and delicious with my favourite being the jerk chicken burger which I have had several times. I really enjoyed the salad as well as it comes with a variety of ingredients which tasted fresh with a nice tangy dressing. The service here was excellent as the staff here are friendly and attentive from the moment you arrive to after you have settled the bill. In terms of ambience I was on the patio the times I came so do not know what it is like inside the restaurant. There are lots of seats on the patio and it is fairly well shaded so is a great spot on those beautiful summer days. All in all a great place to enjoy a nice summer day with great vibes, great food, and a great location. Recommend giving it a shot if you are in the area looking for a place to relax.

Yelp
A local staple. Their truffle fries are out of this world. The smash burger with truffle fries is the perfect meal. A nice little patio for people watching. Good service and good drinks. The menu is a bit small, but fortunately I always get the same thing lol. Prices are a bit high, but they are everywhere these days, and this is a prime location, so I imagine the rent is high! Fun trivia night that's free to play too!

Yelp
Good atmosphere, tasty sharables, great beer and a nice patio. However, I wish the patio set up would have a little bit more space!

Yelp
The restaurant was super vibey! We loved it. The poutine was great - the fries were crispy and not super soggy with gravy. We also got martinis which were very good. The wait staff was very friendly too and let us hang out for a bit while the kitchen was turning over from brunch to dinner.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a party of 2 on a Saturday evening and I loved it! The servers are very friendly and food comes out relatively quickly. We ordered the tuna tataki tostadas, rosemary and garlic brie, and truffle fries. I was so surprised that the brie dish was an actual whole wheel of baked brie! All were so delicious. The cocktails were great as well. They have a good sized selection of dishes, and I'd go back as there were more things I wanted to try. The bathroom did not have soap which I found very strange and unsanitary, but there was hand sanitizer outside the bathroom door.

Yelp
Was roaming around downtown Toronto and wanted a quick break . This place was amazingggggg.. I generally don't give 5/5 but this one deserves it . I think the bartender Mr Axel (I hope i spelt it right) was very friendly and super good service .. cowbell brewary beer was just out of the world .. will strongly recommend this for all Hazy IPA lovers ... food was good too. Wings wasn't spicy but tasted ok. Wish they had more spicy sauces for wings . Everything was sweet. Still this place deserves 5 stars because of customer service . Parking is crazy in downtown . We left our car in paid parking lot .. overall a very good experience...

Yelp
With friends, we went for brunch on Saturday at noon....no issues getting a table. Although the chairs are not very comfortable, the rest of the atmosphere made up for it with disco playing in the background but at a level where you can still have a conversation. The eggs benny with salad (I had the tomato benny and my girlfriend had the peal meal benny) was delicious and the home fries are the best! Ample portions. The service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back. My girlfriend lives around the corner and says it's her new breakfast joint.

Yelp
In past years I've noticed The Corner Place's cute patio, and decided to finally give it a try this weekend. We arrived around 5:30pm on a Friday, and were able to get seats immediately. We ordered the JFC taco, tuna tataki, and butter chicken. All the food tasted pretty solid (but not first-rate). I think the butter chicken was my favourite. Service was prompt even though the patio was quite busy. Definitely a great place to grab a bite / drinks, as the ambience is lovely with fairy lights and big trees. Finally summer in the city!

Yelp
Great food and love Kat who has been there along time and can always count on amazing service when she's there. Eggs St.Lawrence is our favorite and its also our dog Zoey's favorite patio!

Yelp
I've been to this establishment I'm the past but only for dinks. Last night I stopped to get a bite to eat to bring home, and I don't like the feeling of being ripped off:/ My greeter was a sweetheart. The server, served me. I ordered my favourite drink there, The Pink Lemonade. My food came, I paid AND tipped and then I went home. I ordered the following: 1. $16.99 : Impossible Veggie Burger with a salad 2. Prawns : $ view my receipt and you tell me 3. $ 16.00 : Pink Lemonade 4. $ 5.00 : Tip My bill came up to $59.22 Pls do the math. I purposely left the price for the Prawns out as I'm so embarrassed I got swindled. I was yelling and screaming to the food and myself when I opened up the container with the Prawns. The video will explain. I got 2 full handfuls of salad, a burger, and enough shrimp to feed my 2 yr old niece. I wonder if I had ordered my food to stay if they would of had the audacity to serve me that with a straight face? I could of taken that same $ and bought a bag of jumbo shrimp. Moral of the story #lessonlearned I gave 1 star for my greeter 1 star for my burger 1 star fir my drink But truthfully they deserve less than that

Yelp
It wasn't busy when I went, so we were quickly sat down. The food is good, but I do think it's a bit pricey for the quality. The restaurant itself is giving a rustic vibe. Overall, it was a pleasant lunch.

Yelp
Good food, but questionable customer service, hence the rating (BP BEWARE). Here's what we ordered: - Tuna Tataki Tostadas - OK, but not really flavorful - Beef Bone Broth Soup - Pretty good - Poutine - HIGHLY RECOMMEND and it's likely to fill your tummy - Haterade - HIGHLY RECOMMEND (per my bro's experience) - Ginger Appletini Mocktail - HIGHLY RECOMMEND The customer service was odd because the environment just didn't seem welcoming to my brother and I. We walked in, no one greeted us (OK, no big deal). We sat ourselves, but it was a while before anyone said anything or came to check-in with us (OK, it happens, no big deal). When our waitress finally came over, she dropped the menus off at the furthest end of the long table we were seated at... and did not speak (wait, what?!). Later on, she took our order and I said it was my brother's birthday. She didn't wish him a happy birthday until much later when it was closer to bill-paying-time, but she did hook us up with a yummy complementary ice cream dessert so... all was forgiven. HOWEVER, The entire time, there were two managers seated at the bar directly across from our table who would call out commands to the staff. The manager guys would periodically look over at us but say nothing... didn't even crack a smile. The energy in the air just seemed odd. Were we not welcome here? Who knows, but the food was pretty good.

Yelp
Came here for lunch...it's a pretty small place, so probably a good idea to make reservations if you have a large group. I tried the chicken tacos. Portion was big!! Kind of difficult to eat as a taco since the chicken was so large...it was kind of greasy. They used dark meat which was alright. Perhaps too much batter, but the karage sauce was tasty!! Overall a solid place to visit. Though I prefer the St Lawrence market for quality of food.

Yelp
My vacation reviews continue! Cool spot with live music, good beer selection, and decent food menu. Food 3/5 -- I'm just basing this off of one thing that we ordered while we were there, so if it's not the full picture, I apologize. We were kind of just grabbing snacks and drinks all over the area on our first night in Toronto. We ended up at The Corner Place because we liked the vibe, and ordered Poutine. Not bad at all, but not the best poutine I've had by any stretch. It had a lot of scallions on it, and was made with beef gravy -- I like these things. The cheese was pre-melted, which wasn't ideal, and the fries weren't the greatest. Nevertheless, pretty solid meal considering the surroundings. Atmosphere 5/5 -- Really awesome patio, but we opted to sit inside, which was also nice. They pull off the corner pub vibe pretty well, and do it with hipster-chic interior. There was also live music outside and they had speakers amplifying the music to the indoor space as well. Cleanliness 5/5 -- They were pretty on top of cleaning, and I noticed tables were bussed immediately. The bathroom was also clean, but kind of a trip walking to. It's located down a twisty flight of stairs and there are lots of mirrors along the way. I probably sound kind of stupid or oblivious saying this, but I comically mistook the mirrors for hallways, and would momentarily wonder why their basement was so f--king huge. D'oh! Service 3/5 -- Decent service, but not very attentive overall. I ended up tossing my card on the table after we sat for a bit with empty glasses and bowl. The bar manager or whatever noticed right away and took our payment, but it also seems like this would be a lost opportunity to sell more stuff to people who want more. Overall 4/5 -- One of the high points of the trip so far, but we are starting to notice a trend of bad or inattentive service. Being an industry worker I'm sympathetic to under staffing, but I haven't seen any sign of it here so far... kind of a far cry from my own experiences with under staffing in Vancouver.

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for 2 years almost. I drive past it all the time and it always looks so beautiful because of the pretty lights and busy! Me and my bf came here last minute and we got greeted by the only 2 workers that we saw inside the restaurant- please keep in mind when I say that; I mean that they were very very fast and accommodating not just for us but for everyone inside and outside the restaurant talk about fast service. We decided to sit outside for most of our meal, me and my bf got 2 burgers; he got the korean burger and i got the classic one from st lawrence market. & let me tell you; delicious. Okay i know that usually burgers are good everywhere but the korean burger was something different that I never had before; & looking at the menu, you can see this restaurant is asian-canadian fusion & boy o boy was it good. I got a side house salad and usually you think ew salad right? you couldn't be further from wrong. This salad was the best damn salad ever, it was so huge they gave me a separate plate for it and the dressing was to die for. We actually saw the chef step out for a minute and we wanted to tell him how delicious the food was - especially that salad. When I tell you it was good, i mean that my bf never eats veggies, like ever & he ate half of my salad haha it was great! We also got a side of sweet potato fries and those were really good too. You can tell they clean their fryer typically because it was super fresh. let me not also forget that they made our food in 10 minutes; I swear it was hot, fresh, & fast I am so happy at our mains. Then we decided to sit inside, outside was nice and warm to be honest but when I stay outside for too long I get sick so they were very welcoming. I was full at this point but really liked the salad so we ordered the japanese fried chicken taco with the side house salad. The chicken was pretty good; i'm not a big fan of fried chicken in particular but my boyfriend really liked it! I just loved their sweet yet sour house dressing they added to their food. To end the night we got hot chocolate, it was okay it's just hot chocolate haha. Our waitress was very kind and fast. Both of the workers were both amazing. Seriously, if you want to impress someone or just have good vibes and good food. Come here I assure you you won't regret it. My ratings 8.5/10. Great job & keep up the great work! The chef makes awesome food and the staff is all kind

Yelp
So out and about here in Toronto and find this place correctly called corner pub. Fitting as they are on the corner. Appears to be a local mom and pop place and of course those are the best. About the only negative I can say was the heat was turned up way to much, food was cooked excellent and before you ask the fries were fresh cut and tasted great, they were a bit short. Other than that totally would come back, for the food and forgot to mention they have Blantons $12 a glass.
google avatar

Yelp
Why is it so hard to get decent service anywhere anymore? My server forgot to ring in half my order then disappeared for 20 minutes. Didn't check in once. When she did my glass was empty and she didn't even ask if I wanted another. Do you even train your staff? And put more servers on the floor if the ones you have can't handle the crowd!
google avatar

Yelp
Great food, ambiance and service Ordered the sesame quinoa salad had some local beer. If you go sit outside ppl watch and enjoy

Yelp
Visited this spot for the first time today for a Sunday brunch. My two friends and I were seated in a large cozy corner booth which could have easily accommodated a party of six. The place gave off a friendly, unpretentious vibe, and our servers were very kind and attentive. Two of us ordered the avocado and halloumi toast which was delicious. My other friend ordered the eggs St. Lawrence, which also looked terrific. The place wasn't too busy, so we could sit and chat for over an hour after we had finished our meals. I would definitely be happy to come back here again.

Yelp
Went here for brunch in Toronto and must say we really enjoyed (mostly) everything that was on our plate. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and she showed us the available tables and we got to choose which table we preferred to sit in. There are regular seats and high top ones by the way. Anyways, we got situated pretty quickly and were able to browse the menu through the QR codes on our phones. We both chose the CP Breakfast and we loved it (photo provided). It came with pineapple, orange slices, watermelon, peameal bacon, and regular bacon, thick thick fries, ketchup, eggs (however you like it), and 4 slices of toast. Definitely a hearty brunch or breakfast. The peameal bacon was OK, and the other bacon was kind of tough and slightly rubbery but we made do. Overall it was quite a delicious breakfast and I would definitely recommend coming here for brunch/breakfast. Con: as we are in fall, many leaves kept falling on us and our food from the trees in the patio :)

Richard S.

Yelp
The food was great. But restaurant staff allowed a super drunk "regular" to speak to people at other tables when they were clearly uncomfortable with what he was saying. The staff allowed this because he's "loaded" with money. Anyone in a Nike tracksuit, a lot of credit card debt and eating at an inexpensive restaurant is not "loaded" and it should absolutely not give them a free pass to mess with other guests. Kick him out next time! You allowed him to ruin the experience for a number of people.

Yelp
Went to lunch here with my mom. Our server was very friendly and efficient. The vibe of the establishment was sports bar or maybe sandwich place? The atmosphere wasn't welcoming or well decorated and I didn't know what to expect. So when the menu offered butter chicken, Japanese tacos, burgers, ribs, poke bowl?? Such a strange mix of different cuisines that didn't make sense together so I didn't know what to order that would be good. I settled for the chicken avocado sandwich because getting raw fish at a place that seems like a sports bar doesn't sound appetizing to me. My mom got the Japanese taco. Both were mediocre and didn't have anything special about them. The house salad that came with my sandwich also had too much dressing and the greens were not fresh. I would suggest having a coherent menu with less variety but higher quality meals and better ingredients. The place has potential but I can't tell who its trying to target.
google avatar

Rachel F.

Yelp
Underwhelmed - just your average corner joint. I got the poke bowl which didn't have much fish and didn't taste particularly fresh. Also it was doused with sauce. Good for a quick bite.

Yelp
Really more like 3.5 star.l but Mainly because Of super friendly Staff and nice patio. Food was 2.5 Ordered goreng chicken (moo goreng), the noodle was nice, a bit sweet as it was basically sweet chili kind of sauce, but nice overall. The chicken was bad... not tasty, and actually I could only swallow it with the noodle, it wasn't good on its own. Not marinate, no taste, and didn't look fresh either. Waitress was friendly :)

Yelp
My company recently hosted a holiday party at the Corner Place. The manager, Gonçalo, was extremely accommodating and responsive as we planned the event. The bar and wait staff were excellent and the food far surpassed my expectations. The holiday decor looked great as well. Overall, it was a very successful event. Highly recommend it as a party venue.

Roxanne H.

Yelp
We had a company event at this location and I highly recommend it as a great place for an office/company event. The staff was amazing and the food was plentiful, displayed beautifully and delicious. We went at Christmas time and the whole restaurant, inside and out, was fully and tastefully decorated. Loved the fireplaces as well. Great food, great drink, great staff all adds up to a great event! Thank you to The Corner Place!

Yelp
The patio is a lovely little spot at the corner of two major intersections. Fun for people watching and the st Lawrence market was a beautiful backdrop. The tables were a bit old and worn out and sticky unfortunately but everything else (chairs, utensils, umbrellas) were fine. Service was a bit lacking, on no fault of the waitress. She was trying very hard (and she was lovely and upbeat) but they really do need an extra body with how many patrons and tables were full on the patio. The food itself was delicious. A good amount of standard brunch choices. We had the chicken and waffles as well as the corner place breakfast. I loved the choice of fruits and they were all super fresh. The chicken was juicy and crunchy but with just the right amount of batter and the waffle was the perfect complement. Nothing stood out particularly about my breakfast but it was a hefty portion and I liked the way they did the home fries. One small thing but they didn't have salt/pepper shakers on the table and I really like pepper on my eggs. But with how busy our server was, I didn't bother asking for it. Overall would come again but a few small things that made it only an ok experience as opposed to a good one.

Yelp
Local bar in St. Lawrence, good patio (on the corner) - and really nice to see the patios open again!

Yelp
Stopped into The Corner Place on a sunny but not to hot Sunday afternoon. The outdoor seating would be good to people watch if the St Lawerence Market had been open. The background music inside was pleasant and created a good mood. The staff was all very nice and competent. I ordered the farmhouse burger with truffle fries. Both items were solid and I had no regrets with my selection. With that said I wouldn't say it was exceptional. The only negative was that the majority of the staff were engaged in personal conversations with each other about their night last night, Instagram posts etc. Sometimes response time to customers entering the establishment or needing refills etc was slightly delayed because of this. Overall it was decent.

Yelp
It's a great place to have a drink. The bartender there is awesome at making drinks and surprising people with new drinks to make. Shoutout to that bartender for giving my friend a new alcoholic drink to try. Great hangout spot! This was also the place where my best friend announced he wanted me the best man for his wedding next year. That makes this place a special place in my heart. I just think that the menu should be expanded. Otherwise great place! Shoutout to a friend who was a server there on the day that I was announced as the best man, Anastasia. Great job on serving!! Will come back for sure! Love the mushroom burger and the drinks here!!!

Yelp
We were greeted warmly by someone sitting at the bar and told to sit anywhere but the good service stopped there. The waitress seemed to be ignoring us, we did not get water or even menus. After 5 minutes I had to get up and took menus from the bar. She finally came over and apologized saying she thought someone else took care of it. The restaurant was pretty much empty.. we were annoyed but brushed it off. The food was a 3/10 - flavorless and doused in too much sauce. She checked on us once which was fine then we waited for the bill but it didn't come. We put our coats on and the waitress was sitting at the bar watching TV. I can forgive boring food but I won't be back simply due to the innatentive and lackluster service.

Yelp
Delicious burgers admixed with scrumptious healthy fare ! Strong selection of beers / ciders and just divine cocktails. Totally a locals' joint. The outdoor patio is the place to see and be seen. Toronto's got some good lookin folks.

Yelp
What an awesome place for Sunday breakfast/brunch!! The sign outside about mimosas attracted our wives to explore what was behind the curtain at the front door (keeping out the wind :). The place was spotless! We were seated at an awesome bench table at the back with up-lighting on the white stone wall. I can't say enough about how sweet and helpful the two servers were for our three couples. We had the French toast, CP egg sandwich, and a bunch of other options that were presented and tasted like we were in a 5-star restaurant and not a local corner bar. I'm from Massachusetts and I can't wait to get back to Toronto to get back to the Corner Place for more good food and fun. It was really an awesome way to end our stay.

Yelp
Came here for some late night grub with the gf. We ordered the guacamole and chips, Mexican street corn, and the fish taco. The guacamole and corn were both extremely tasteless. Each had no flavour, so we left over half of both the dishes. The taco was okay, and it was a good size. The service was okay, nothing great. It was two people who were running both the bartenders and the servers. So there was a lot of time they didn't notice is and I had to get up to get their attention. Overall, place sucked for food.

Yelp
Nice location and patio but food is very mediocre. Ordered salmon eggs benny and had hard yolks (not runny as they're meant to be with a benny), no hollandaise sauce (server quickly brought it out but it was cold), untoasted egg muffins under the hard yolks with no hollandaise. It was just really poorly done. We won't come back. This place relies on tourism from the market so they dont need to make their food good. They don't rely on repeat customers. :(

Yelp
I always like going to places with a lame name. The bar The restaurant The Corner place It just feels very homie to me when they put up a humble name like that and not try to hype you up I also liked the outside of this place, they put up lights all around the patio, lined up nicely and gave me that left over Christmas feeling on a cold January night. Walking in on a Friday night at around 7ish, no problem in finding a table for two but the restaurant was 90% filled up w drinkers at the bar and also diners. This place has drink specials everyday and $3.50 mimosa during brunch. I m a big fan of mimosa but was disappointed to find out the special price is only available during day time. $7 at night time. I mean... Ok so you are indirectly telling me just get the other drinks. We don't wanna serve you mimosas. They have an interesting menu, a lot to choose from, and the server helped us w it. She recommended the Malaysian curry w garlic rice, which was really good. The curry was very flavorful and creamy w generous amount of chicken. Jasmine rice was lightly stir fried w garlic and I believe a bit of coconut milk. It just went really well w the curry. I would not have imagined a corner bar could deliver this quality of Asian food. Solid food! The only complaint is that they gave way too little rice and my rice was gone before my curry :( I'll definitely come back for their daily drink specials (see picture I posted) and other food items on their interesting menu. Overall, I liked the vibe here. Oh I like watching sports and they have enough TVs all around the bar. Guys, you are welcome here to catch a game.

Yelp
Stopped here for a bite to eat during my time in Toronto decided to sit outside because the weather was nice. I notice a woman with the taco entrée so I asked the server if I can have exactly what she had, and my server told me that was the fish taco when it arrived it didn't look like the same thing that the woman was eating needless to say I was slightly disappointed that either she gave me the wrong information or the kitchen mess that my order. My boyfriend ordered the grilled chicken wings with fries and I ordered the fish tacos with onion rings the fish on the tacos was small with plenty of greens but I ate it anyway and my onion rings were delicious.

Yelp
I would love to give this place a 2.5 stars, but I feel 3 is too generous. We came here for Saturday brunch. The patio was the perfect spot as it was not too shady and not too sunny. Service was fine, nothing exceptional but not lacking in any way. We ordered 2 mimosas, at $3 we thought it was a great deal. Unfortunately, my glass had some sort of dust stuck on the inside of the glass. The server was appropriately apologetic and changed it quickly when I showed it to her. The drinks were a good pour of prosecco. We ordered the Spanish Tortilla Benny and the Eggs Benedict with Peameal Bacon (the menu online isn't updated). I didn't really enjoy my pick of Spanish Tortilla Benny. Firstly, it is misnamed. I think it would be more apt to call it Huevos Racheros as there is nothing Continental Spain about this dish. Secondly, I did not enjoy the deep fried tortilla. I thought it would be pan crisped, so it was disappointing to see two beige, oily discs. My guy enjoyed his order of Eggs Benedict with Peameal Bacon but he was always quite hungry and said "the fruit cup and rosti was the best part of the meal"...so take what you will out of that statement. The fruit cup is pretty unique and delicious but could do with a light dusting of powdered sugar. The rosti was good but I don't think it was fresh. Overall, it was just fine and I didn't feel like we threw away money eating here. But I'd definitely not be back anytime soon. I feel like The Corner Place could do more with their menu based on their proximity to St. Lawrence Market and it's culinary uniqueness.

Yelp
Sunday brunch after a long run was a blessing as my runch buddies and I were famished by the time we finished our run. The Corner Place is just a short walk from Yonge and Wellington and the food is always delicious at reasonable prices. Service is friendly and attentive, but not intrusive. Plus they're able to accommodate food orders due to allergies without much of a fuss or roll of the eyes. We all ordered the Carnita Sandwich ($12.99) and it was absolutely delish. The bun got a little bit greasy from the brisket, but the flavours just melts in your mouth and the fried egg adds a nice consistency to the sandwich. Plus more protein for us runners which we weren't complaining about. Also they had $3.50 mimosas, so it was a no brainer that we all ordered one or two mimosas which definitely complemented the meal nicely. Only complaint was we all wished there were more hash potatoes and fruits on our plates. I've only ever gone for brunch and it was always delicious, so cannot comment on their dinners, but will eventually try it one day. In addition, I cannot wait until patio season as they have a good patio out front which is great for people watching in St. Lawrence Market and catching some sunshine.

Yelp
I wanted a beer with my lunch, start off my day off bar hopping and drinking. Didn't want to go gabby near by due to my bad experience so I ended up here Food was alright I had cp cheese burger. The way it was dress was meh. The patty was allmost rare. If I didn't like medium rare I would sent it back. Fries weren't good Meh food didn't match the price

Yelp
Nice place to sit and people watch in the summer. Food is decent. Service is spotty at best, consistently. Tried to eat here on a Sunday morning when only one table was seated. They insisted we sit only in a 2 person spot with no one else waiting to be seated. We waited several minutes to be acknowledged and the one person dropped the menu in front if us and walked away not asking if we wanted a drink or coffee. I get it when restaurants are busy and they can't get to you right away but there was one person giving water and one person dropping off the menu. We just wanted to have a nice meal on a patio and make our way but it's hard to support an establishment that consistently gives their customers poor service and the staff expect a tip at the end. Sad because this place has lots of potential. What's worse than bad service, is no service.
