Yelp
NOPE! This is NOT it! This is among all of the other sorry a$$ piesI have tried in LA! No gooey cheese, no curled up pepperoni cups, no flavor on the sauce, or barely any sauce, or cheese! FORGOT ABOUT IT! You can buy this crap if you want to, but if you are from the tri-state area, you know bs when you see/taste it! I gave this place a try today based on the reviews. Now I am not sure where in The City these Yelpers are getting their pizza from, but the reviews are questionable. The pizza is not good enough for me to ever try it again. I called and placed a delivery order directly from the store, I spoke with Edward who appears to be a nice guy. I ordered a medium pepperoni pie with crushed garlic and spaghetti bolognese with mozzarella. I wanted lasagna bolognese, but was told they were making the sauce and it would be a few hours before it was ready, but I was hungry, so I opted for the spaghetti. I am happily leaving for The City on August 10th and I know I will get some really good pizza. Let's talk about that spaghetti bolognese. I know that pasta will soak up the sauce so I always request extra sauce. The pictures of the pasta were taken as soon a I received my food and there was barely any sauce on the pasta. I guess if I had not requested extra sauce, I would have received no sauce. You see the pictures, don't play! NO SAUCE, DRY AF! I called and spoke with Edward again, explaining that I did not get extra sauce. Nice guy that he is (sarcasm) he kept arguing with me telling me he put extra sauce. Edward STOP! You know, I know, and the pictures show that you did NOT give me extra sauce! I hung up the phone, I'm not going to argue with someone who is willing to argue with a customer. I was going to ask if I could stop by tomorrow to purchase a container of meat sauce. After hanging up, I decided I would go to Sunday Gravy in Inglewood to buy the sauce. Needless to say, I will never order from The Corner Slice again. I should have gotten in my car to drive to Firenza Pizza in DTLA, or Rosario's in Carson. I will say, the pizza that is the closest to a NY pie that I have had in LA is Firenza Pizza, and their Million Dollar Pasta is so damn delicious. If you ask for extra sauce, you get extra sauce. Also, located DTLA is Danny Boy's Famous Pizza. If you are in the area give either one of these places a try. I will say, I prefer Firenza over Danny Boy's, it has more flavor. If you know like I know, you will not f$&k with this BS! You can thank me later.
