Need Halal Dining Options in Las Vegas? Jainine Jaffer from Shiraz Has You Covered - Eater Vegas

"The Cornish Pasty Co. They’re open late, it’s got a cool vibe, you can play pool or shoot darts, and they have an out-of-this-world sticky toffee pudding." - Susan Stapleton

During my last Vegas trip I finally got to experience this place--worth all the hype from my friends! First of all, it's way off the beaten path, which is great. Second of all, lots of reasonably-priced tasty homemade pies, with a good selection of veg-friendly choices! Third of all, a great beer selection. I got their Veggie Mexican (Mexican-spiced Quorn© brand vegetarian ground beef, egg, potato, jalapenos, and cheddar. With sides of sour cream and salsa) but I had to get it to go and didn't get around to eating it until breakfast the next day. My hotel room had an oven so I was able to heat it up properly and it was still absolutely delicious! Very generous portions and really well-made. I'm a fan! Speaking of fans, the only downside for me was their lack of good AC--we were all wilting in the place while the ceiling fans and ineffective AC struggled to battle the heat. If you can't handle the heat, get your pie(s) to go; they're worth it.

Wonderful experience overall! The waitress was kind right off the bat, super kind and knowledgeable. The vibe was home-y and warm, even the people coming and going to eat-in felt like family. The pastys were wonderful and well worth coming to dine in and take in the vibe. MANY vegetarian options. I felt like I was back home in Portland, even if you don't like Portland come anyway.

Just. Go. The pasty selection is both amazing and well made. The staff is stellar and always a joy to be around. Beer is nummy, people are casual and good folk, and the food is plentiful. I've made a point of coming here every time I visit Vegas. Nothing on the menu is bad and it's very reasonably priced.

This is one of the restaurants I have been to the most in Vegas. it's a great place to meet with friends. they have a large selection of pasties and beer. They have local beers on tap. Although the crimp on the top of these pasties is after the Devon style, traditionally the crimp of crust goes on the side of Cornish style pasties, they still taste fantastic and have many non-traditional flavorings.

Pasties! Nuf said! The shepherds pie pasty is simple and best but they have a lot of variety! Their dessert options are absolutely delicious! My favorite is chocolate bread & butter pudding. If I'm ever driving by, I stop by just to pick this up. Pretty good beer selection too.

Excellent food! When I went the kegs were unavailable so the drink selection was poor, and they didn't make an effort to compensate for it at all, so that sucked. This place is basically a glorified bar after all. And aside from the waitress not knowing much about drinks or working at a bar for that matter, the experience was delightful and the pasties... to die for. Go hungry!

Perfect comfort food and great for all kinds of diets. They have meat and veggie options. And a huge number of both. Everything was hot and delicious except the beer. That was cold and refreshing. Nothing pretentious here. Just good food at a good price and no attitude.

Royal w Cheese and mushy peas pretty damn good. Get there early for the lamb vindaloo...they only make so many of each pasty every day. When the popular ones are gone, they are gone. I'd give 5 stars if they weren't out of so many drafts.
