The environment is very clean and elegant. Literally in a courtyard, Courtyard Grill has a central location in a street-side strip. The seating is very limited but it's necessary, as the venue is pretty tiny to start. I dined here with a group of friends (9) after our initial choice had a one hour wait. We called Courtyard Grill ahead and made our choice to eat here because there was no wait. Little did we know...
The waitress took 10 minutes to take our drink order and another 15 minutes to actually get our drinks. After sitting for nearly 30 minutes we finally ordered our food. It only took another HOUR to get our food. So after and hour and half of sitting we finally get to eat, realizing that going to our first choice would've been much more beneficial (and cheaper). If the restaurant was busy I would partially understand the wait, but only two other tables were sat the entire time.
The food was good and elegant. I ordered the Shrimp Scampi with a cup of Clam Chowder. I felt overcharged for it, as the portion size was pretty small. On a different note, the menu was pretty large but the restaurant was out of a lot. Only two New York Strips were in stock, and bubbly water and Baguettes were out.
Apart from the incredible wait for food that ended up feeling overpriced, our waitress was pretty attentive with drinks and offered us small pieces of bread and fries to make up for the Baguette that was supposed to come with the food. I am disappointed in the efficiency and organization of this restaurant, and expected much more from such a pricey and classy place.
